Do I think this book was published because it's Drew Barrymore's? Yes.
Do I think the subject is not-all-that? Yes.
Did I enjoy it anyway? Yes.
I get to see a lot of non-biographical books written by stars and in most cases, it's the fact they're well-known people with clout that gets their crap published. Like they don't get enough attention being actors and rock stars and what have you. I roll my eyes at those people.
There are always exceptions. I have found Henry Winkler's and Jamie Lee Curtis's children's book to be fun and delightful and I appreciate Julie Andrews Edwards truck stories; I've never been particularly charmed by them, myself, but I know plenty of kids who are and that's good enough for me.
This book...I think its appeal is that it reminds me of friends, both current and long-gone. I know these people who collect random hearts. I brought a heart-shaped stone back from Greece for a girl who collected heart-shaped rocks. I have a friend who collects found objects, all heart-shaped. It's a hobby, a need, an obsession I do not share but that I can completely understand, and, better yet, can add to. I like seeing a heart and giving it to a friend who loves hearts; it feels good. This book reminded me of that feeling even though there's nothing particularly moving in the pictures -some being quite a stretch- or the text.
I will probably buy a copy or two of this to give to those friends who, like Barrymore, find hearts in everything.

My fellow little flower child with a mutual love of hearts.
I do like some of her photos, but I also think the only reason this book ever got published is because she’s Drew Barrymore. Which is okay, shoot if I was given the opportunity, I would do it to.

I have been a huge Drew fan for a long time. People have even told me that I look like her. I believe that she puts her soul and integrity into every project. I was surprised when I saw this available for preorder last month on Amazon, but I snapped it up anyway. Drew as a photographer? I could get behind that.
I wasn't sure what the title would mean. I honestly thought it wears just an abstract reference to life or something. Nope. This book is pictures of hearts. Not even Nat Geo style beautiful pictures of hearts.... Just ordinary pictures with no filters or knowledge of what makes a photo a photo.
I hate to use the words "vanity project" on something Drew has created, but that's exactly what this is. It was published because she's Drew Barrymore. And the price for a book of abstract pictures of hearts? Almost $20!
Drew has a lot of great messages, positivity, and life lessons to share with the world. But she could have put these pictures on a blog and let us view them for free. As lovely as she is, you'll never flip through this book more than once. It's more useful as a drink coaster.

Cute book about finding the heart in everyday. I thought it was inspirational how she saw the beauty in ordinary objects.

It's a cute book. Gave me a couple heartwarming smiles. It's totally inoffensive and doesn't try to be something that it's not, ie she's not trying to convince you of some great insight, it's just a collection of honest snapshots.
With that said, I was expecting a little more creativity or at least novelty. It's very mundane, with just a few photos that keep your attention for longer than 5 seconds. Thus you finish paging through the book in about 5 minutes. Barrymore's brief words that appear every 10 or so pages are worthwhile I suppose. It was a good idea... but I'm a sentimental person and even I found them on the sappy side.
It is presented well. The variation in bleed particularly was used effectively.
Cool cover. It's a solid mini coffee table book. I would never ever pay the $18 list price, but I got it for $2 and mostly don't regret it.

It’s a bad photography book of weird things that might be in the shape of a heart with some weird poems, I think, mixed in. I don’t get it.

The synchronicities were too much. I have always seen hearts in things. I didn't know Drew Barrymore did too. That is until I stumbled across a quick blurb in a happiness magazine while making a vision board. It mentioned that she sees hearts in everything. I've always loved Drew and loved hearts.
I went for a spur of the moment walk after shoveling the driveway. It was snowy and beautiful. The quiet song of snow falling under a full moon. As I walked, I noticed a heart where a piece of salt had melted some snow on the sidewalk. I thought of happiness, I thought of someone dear to me who had recently passed. My thoughts jumped to "haha, Drew Barrymore would think this is cool too."
When I got home, I was messaging someone on varagesale to buy an item and decided to check the rest of her stuff out. Here was this book. I felt compelled to add this to my cart. The next day, I had this book in my hands.
I looked through it, and although it's more of a collection of photographs than a book, it meant a lot to me. 5 stars for the connection and having the opportunity to explore this book. But in the grand scheme of things, it's not a 5 star book for consumption. So for that, I will rate as a 3.
It's a great reminder that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is a beautiful world. It just depends on your perception.

Find It in Everything is a collection of photographs by Drew Barrymore (yup; that Drew Barrymore) that contain hearts found in everyday situations. Some are kind of unique, like a photograph of a break in the clouds that forms a heart. And a sun spot on a cat. But others are kind of weird. Like a piece of trash, a straw wrapper, that happens to have fallen in such a way that it vaguely resembles a heart.
There are maybe 15 photos in the whole freaking book, and half that many words. (I'm estimating, but really: it's the most ephemeral book I've ever picked up and I work in a children's library.) There were two photos where I wouldn't have found the heart without the caption to tell me where to look.
I borrowed a copy for free from my library and spent about ten minutes on it. I just kind of expected more.

Thanks Jimmy Fallon for a great book recommendation- had a flip through while enjoying breakfast at the dining table. A great idea for a photography book where well known actress Drew Barrymore reveals hearts found in her day to day life. My personal favourite- the scallion in miso soup and many more- some with a few brief words to accompany a few of the photos.

To be fair, photography books aren't exactly my forté, and perhaps for that reason I was the wrong person to read this! However I love Drew Barrymore, she's so lovely and this book is no different. It's filled with photographs where hearts, yes, these: <3 can be seen in anything. Hence the name of the book!
I felt it was a very personal book that way, and very sweet. Very genuine and lovely. I also got the signed edition on sale somewhere so that sweetened the deal lol!

Just like Drew finding hearts everywhere I just happened to look down & find this book @ B&N. I too take pictures in life that I find beautiful where others find it mundane & to see that my idol does the same filled me with such joy that day how could I not pick it up! I feel like I have a bond with someone I only met once @ her book signing in Ann Arbor.

I loved the message of this book, that Drew looks for Hearts everywhere to keep her going and give her inspiration. However I expected more than say 50 pictures of hearts she has seen in her lifetime. Let's face it a straw wrapper made into a heart is only published because of who saw it. Don't kill yourself getting to this book.

There is not much reading involved here, not even sure if this should count as a book. I wish it were longer, it literally only took about 5 minutes to get through. It's a cute and weird and feel good photo album basically. Just needed more to make it truly worthwhile.

Simple book on photography that could benefit someone. Basically you have to be obsessive with your craft and create the images you want to make. Decent book, a very quick read with a few interesting shots. Good for beginning photographers.

I love the concept of finding little reminders of love everywhere you look, but I was honestly a bit disappointed that most of the heart shapes in the photos were manmade and not naturally found in life.

Child actor,grown. She sees hearts everywhere. Get camera. Take pictures of hearts. Produces a book. I buy book cheap. I finished book in under seven minutes. Me? I can't believe I paid $2. Now? I am bummed out. Yet I see a heart in my tears on table.

It felt like this book was supposed to be for the person as a journal and not something that needed to be published. (That is my personal opinion.) But I love the concept of things shapes/things you see all the time.

Ordered this as I was following Drew and they gave me a discount. Did not realize what a short book it was going to be. (Should have read information better as I am a retired teacher!) Love the photography though and it does make you think about how things just are there in nature.
