Chyyyyyyyy this was good!!! These authors know they be testing my moral and ethical conscience with these books 😅
Ian and Asha have a beautiful marriage! They couldn’t be more in love and well on their way to HEA. A tragic motorcycle accident injured Ian and while he has made an almost full recovery, one injury still lingers as a aftermath from the accident and it is putting a sexual strain on their marriage!
Asha loves her husband more than anything but sis is backed tf up and temptation is getting the best of her! Don’t do it Asha reconsider, read some liter……
I don’t know what I wanted to happen nor expected but I enjoyed this read more than I anticipated! This was my first read by this author and I’d definitely read more from her in the future!!
I’m not a big fan of infidelity, it has to be done a certain way for me to tolerate. Although things aren’t what they seem in this book, this one didn’t do it for me.
Asha and Ian sex life is in distress after Ian’s accident leaving Asha sexually frustrated and Ian’s pride in shambles. But when Geno enters Asha life Asha finds it hard to resist Geno. Whew I was on the edge of my seat trying to see what was going to happen with Asha and Ian and Asha and Geno. Child I just knew Asha was gonna get caught. Sis was so sexually frustrated I felt bad for her and Ian but I was happy with the ending whew. I would love a follow up erotic short on this couple.
What am I feeling right now? Excited, confused, conflicted!! Ian and Asha have a great connection, and a solid marriage. However, the struggle is real in the bedroom after Ian's accident. He is trying his absolute best to please his wife and is frustrated that he is unable to.
Asha knows she has a good man, but she is falling down a rabbit hole from lack of the D! What is a girl to do?
Now, I don't know what just happened! Was any of it real? I know I'm going to hell, but I was rooting for Asha to get that release; cause just whew..... 🔥😜 Let me just gone head and check out this catalog. 😂
I know this was a short but the way it ended didn’t sit right with me. Was Geno real or not. Was Ian’s issue fixed. I was kinda hoping she got caught but whatever. The story was good but it feels incomplete.
Baby stressed is what this book had me 😫. Ion care miss girl was definitely emotionally detaching from her husband. For better or worse ,sike Asha is a risk.
Asha and Ian are the perfect married couple to the outside world. Asha held him down as he recovered from an accident that changed their lives. Ian was grateful that she truly stood by him in sickness and health. The effects of the accident have them at a crossroad that is building a rift in their marriage.
Whew I was side eyeing Asha. Sis was struggling and put herself in a situation that could easily cause issues. I understood her though because to be unsatisfied and missing that chemistry... Whew chyyyy I just knew she was going to fold because she was playing with fire.
This was a perfect little snack of a story with some angst and a plot twist.
Usually I don’t have an issue with the cheating trope but this one had me tight. Asha can see these hands to be honest, even though I understand her frustrations. This was a new to me author and I honestly don’t know if I can handle the rest of this series. I like my romance a little too much for this wild series. I don’t know if my heart can take much more. Alexander has an easy to read writing style but I don’t think this was a long enough to get a true feel for her story telling ability for me. But it was definitely a good addition to this series.
Chillllleeeeee you knew better than to play in my mf face like that with this goddamn book! Lawd!!! The way my adrenaline is pumping yall whew! Lawd this little snippet or whatever you wanna call it had my ass scared but that ending though! Boy I screamed lol almost threw my damn kindle. But I’m so proud of my girl Asha! My heart was PUMPING!!!!
You ever read a book that left you checking your morals while on the edge of your seat? Yes? Then this is the book for you. Ian and Asha had a great marriage. They loved each other and had an amazing sex life until Ian’s tragic accident. Recovery has been fine but Ian is struggling to keep things “up” and my good sis is left constantly FRUSTRATED. Add in her sexy client Geno who is tempting her to ask for some life altering dick and sis is TORN!! In sickness and in health right? Did I already mention that I had to check myself while reading this book? I definitely understood Asha’s struggle and low key cheered for her. But on the flip side I’m like now sis, stick beside him. Baby I was everywhere LOL! I was expecting Ian to give her a hall pass to handle her frustrations and got seriously stressed when it didn’t happen. This book is messy AF, I won’t even lie and say I didn’t want more. I wanted the drama. I wanted the mess. I wanted all the smoke LOL
The slut in me is on the edge of my seat waiting for our girl to get dicked down by this man who is NOT her husband. Shit I want her to get dicked down by both of them.
The wifey in me is being hella judgmental of both Asha and her husband. Like if this muther fucker don't go take a blue pill and handle his business. Also why is she hiding her vibrator? Who does that??
The reviewer in me is rolling their eyes cause Geno's character is super predictable. Also, these ppl can't be this clueless. I can't help but wonder what was up with the condom debate because ya'll are grown be fking responsible. Also, I'd sue that doctor!
Props for the Ending. Overall, this was a suspenseful read. Not my cup of tea. I don't have an issue with reading about infidelity, but chick was just being dumb.
I can see that Asha and Ian was in love but the circumstances kinda put a rift in their marriage. I’m not gonna lie I was alil stressed reading this. Like on the edge of my bed, leg shaking and kept saying “Asha don’t do it” stressed. I was kinda disappointed in Asha but I’m alil conflicted also because on one hand I get Asha frustration. To be so attracted and in love with your husband but can’t really get the intimacy you want is disappointing. Then on the other hand being sex deprived can really cloud ya judgement & have you giving into temptation. The plot twist definietly took a turn and honestly I’m glad it did lol because this was messy messy. This was good read with a hint of suspense.
Reading this book was an emotional rollercoaster filled with frustration and disbelief, particularly due to Asha's decisions and behavior throughout the narrative. Had I encountered Asha mid-story, I would have felt compelled to confront her about her actions. The conclusion left me in a state of surprise and relief, yet it also sparked confusion, compelling me to yearn for a sequel where the story unfolds anew, this time with the ending as its starting point. Asha's journey was a stressful, yet unforgettable experience.
This standalone is lit. Asha was pissing me off at first with how she was treating her husband. It's other ways they could have done stuff, but to me, she still wouldn't be satisfied. Geno was pressing way too hard for me, and he knew she got a husband. Ian is too good for her with they way she was acting. U did good on yet another book, and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read.
Asha, Ian & Geno all dodged the proverbial bullet 😴😮💨 ‼️ “Asha & Geno” (The Ain’t Love - Book 2) was an interesting read…🥴🫣🤦🏾♀️! Not a proponent of infidelity under any circumstance. Nonetheless, I’m not naive to the stress, pressure & or temptations in honoring “for better or for worst” & it’s binding commitment to spouse (non subjective) 🤷🏾♀️‼️ …all’s well and ends well!
The entire time, I clutched my pearls. Reading the story was like watching an accident happen. I wanted to look away, but I also needed to see it through. Ian, Asha‘s husband was such a good dude. This whole time I was hoping she wasn’t going to do the unthinkable. This story was simply a roller coaster. I’m glad it ended the way that it ended.
Baby all I gotta say is thank GOD for that ending!!!! Asha was about to be the most hard women in the universe if she played my boy Ian like that!! The emoting of times I rolled my eyes had to be a record! S. Alexander you did that!!!!
Omgeeee this book had me hot bothered and pissed tf off at Asha. I understood 💯 percent what she was dealing with what she was missing and so desperately needed but I kept saying noooooo my girl this ain’t right lol. My Lord the ending was such a relief 😅
Meeting Geno and having marriage problems had Asha ready to risk it all. Good thing she was only dreaming. She and Ian were great except that one little mishap. Hopefully he would be better soon. Good read!
This was something else with that plot twist at the end. Asha was trying to hold it together because Ian was a good man and had they were working through a little situation, but Geno had her questioning her loyalty and wanting to take a walk on the wild side.
Overall, I think this was a good storyline - Asha had a good husband so I’m glad the book ended the way it did. If it wasn’t a dream, I’d definitely say a part 2 would be needed!
Woooooooow! I was enjoying Asha and Geno hooking up but I did feel some type of way because Ian was really a good husband to Asha. I glad that it was just a dream because at the end of the day Geno and Ian are friends.
When I tell you, I was so annoyed reading this book, and I just couldn’t wrap my head around the cheating trope, and then boom, the last freaking words of the damn book caught me by surprise. That’s the only reason I gave it three stars.
Yes I get is a short story but it definitely deserved a second part. Alexander surely knows how to tell a story when it comes to details but definitely needed more.
