Are you kidding me with this story Shauna! Finally, finally when my heart is somewhat healed (still mad at you) you have to rip it to shreds all over again. That prologue, that last 13% of the book, my heart is going to jump out of my chest! These poor characters have been through so much and so have we as your readers!
Despite all the heart aches, I laughed so much in this book. Thank you for that. Thank you too for answering so many questions left floating in my mind. I could not wait to read this story, I needed it so badly. The heart wrenching moments were incredible.
This story is everything I needed and soooo much more. These two together are everything! They make the story. Their hate to love has been soooo hot! I legit was swooning soooo hard and laughing hysterically at Rohan’s emotions during their date and a certain scene at the end. These were my absolute favorite parts of the series, gosh I love him!
These two getting to know each other all over again was everything this story needed!!!! And the twists at the end made all the heartache worth it. And I’m crying again, happy tears this time.
Rohan is my King. I have loved him throughout this entire series! And even more in this book, because this man would burn the world over and over again for Saoirse. They have been through so much but to see where they ended up, thank you for this, soooo good!!! This book, this SERIES!!! Rip your heart out incredible!!!

Whew the final book and yes I’m still emotional wrecked in a good way lol. Let me start off by saying that this book gave me everything I was looking for plus more I did have to make sure I cleared my weekend because when my ARC copy I read the prologue and knew I needed to be by myself so fair warning. Rohan made my top 5 book boyfriends in the first book but now he is on fighting for 1st place. The characters development the plot the twist and heart breaks(mines and their’s) chefs kiss 💋 I loved this Trilogy so much can’t wait for more work and spin off’s. I’m so grateful for Shauna popping up on my FP on TikTok lol

This took me a lot longer to read than I thought it would. It has absolutely everything to do with the damage that was wrecked on my soul, and the amount of detail that was poured into every single page just sucked me right back into their world. I took many breaks reading book 3 because of the emotional roller coaster that I went on with this series.
Book 2 I devoured in less than a day… Book 3 had my emotions going so hard. I think I can count on one hand how many books have ever made me cry and I cried through the first 10% of this book… Just free-flowing tears and hard chaotic sobbing…there were tissues involved and I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t usually get so emotionally involved in books and so invested in the characters, but this is forever going to be a comfort series for me.
If you’re looking for emotional damage this series is for you. It is so well written that I have no words except for I love and hate you Shauna. Why you gotta make me feel all the feels…Ps-I need a Daddy Lorcan story please 🙏

This book has my heart all over the place! Just when I think the pieces are coming back together they are shattered again. I have had a true hard on for Mr Rohan since book one but after this I think he’s my absolute favorite book boyfriend of all time. This was a great way to end the story but I definitely hope to see more of Saoirse and Rohan in the near future.

Shauna's dazzeling conclusion to the Kings of Killybegs series gripped me like no other. It was a fast paced, epic thrill ride that I never wanted to end!!!

After Destructive Truths devastating ending, I was left shattered not knowing if I could recover from such a tragic blow. I wanted vengeance, blood, and quite frankly...to rain down hell on those who took someone who was precious to me.
Well, OMG and HOLY HELL did Shauna deliver!! Not only was this story absolutely phenomenal,
she gave us the most EPIC ending to this series that I could have ever hoped, imagined, wanted, needed, and so much MORE!!! Yes, it's that freaking good!!
Every woman deserves to have a man who would burn down the world for her and in this book its ROHAN FREAKING KING!!!
Throughout the story, this man was my weakness. I was constantly suffering from what I refer to as #TheRohanEffect Everything he does, every move he makes is with precise and calculated precision in service to his Mo bhanríon (My Queen ). From the words he speaks in Gaelic that are delivered with such reverence and love to the ones that are so decadecadently dirty ... Rohan King makes makes you crave him in a way that is madness personified.
Saoirse Ryan was always the Queen Killybegs needed. Throughout the series, we've seen her grow. Forever gone is the uncertain girl who never wanted this life into a strong, resilient, confident, and badass woman. One who knows she can reign in a man’s world. Saoirse has been through hell but, instead of being swallowed by the storm, she became it. I loved watching and cheering her on as she kicked ass and took names while doing it! Through strength, respect, and loyalty....she is the crown that binds everyone together and I can’t wait to watch as she ushers a new era to the Killybegs syndicate.
This story has everything wrapped in Shauna's incredible writing. The suspense and danger, the sinfully sexy and hot as hell passion, the adrenaline rush that keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the overwhelming emotions that connect you to these characters. It's just phenomenal!

An absolute stunning conclusion to one of my favorite trilogies! Shauna Mairéad’s Kings of Killybegs grabbed me and put me in a chokehold from the moment I read the first pages. This books brings this phenomenal storyline to a bittersweet conclusion. You know the saying “I came, I laughed, I cried”? Well it holds for this story. I cheered, laughed, got an indent on my backside from the edge of my seat, recharged devices, and cried my way through this book. (And I don’t typically cry from books!) Both of the main characters show their growth beautifully in this storyline. Saoirse is ready to the take the reigns, and in doing so shows the level of strength that has grown within her. Rohan’s OTT protective, possessive love for her has grown to be one that is beautiful to witness. To see how her love has changed him, how he has changed himself to be worthy of her love…chef’s kiss perfection. Their spice together is the immerse yourself in some cold water to cool down type of hot. Do yourself a favor and make sure everything is charged before starting this book. Their conclusion may still a little bittersweet from the events of the second book, but that is part of what makes them a phenomenal couple and this a fabulous storyline. While Saoirse and Rohan’s storyline may have come to it’s conclusion, it also sets up more from this world…And I cannot wait!

My adoration for Saoirse has never once wavered, if anything it’s only grown with each book. Her determination to take back what’s rightfully hers, while still keeping her softer side intact, was incredible to witness. She’s one hundred percent someone I would want in my corner.
Our King. While he did a fabulous job of pissing me off in books one and two, I fell so fucking hard for him in this book. His genuine, devoted, love for Saoirse wasn’t only being told to us, it was being shown. He has had one of the best character growths I’ve read so far this year.
That damn ending. So much perfection in it that I cried even harder than I did at the beginning. 🥹 Thank you Shauna for telling these characters stories, for breathing life into this world.

This final book was the perfection I needed. I love how I can have the highest expectations with Shaunas books and she always goes above and beyond !
From the first pages I was crying!!!!! This continuance of book 2 is so smooth and the characters and emotions are so detailed. The feelings they're all going through are so obvious and it's really like watching a movie play out.
I was so happppy whenever they succeeded with their missions and plans and just so happy.
Everything was beautiful! All the main characters are so strong!!! Rohan and Saiorse are perfect and I love the dynamic ! I felt so bad for everyone. They were all truly going through it. All the side characters felt like main characters to me too. I can't spell her name right but Behvin? Idk lol and her mom. 😭 just love them.!
I hope that we haven't seen the last. I can see this going on and on. Thanks so much for this beautiful story. It is a masterpiece!

Anyways again, Rohan has shown SO MUCH growth and so has Saoirse since book one and I can’t get enough.
I love that she is finally stepping into the shoes of the queen she deserves to be and Rohan is happily walking at her side along with her.
These two have gone through so many struggles I’m so happy to finally see them happy.
I loved the second initiation in this one and how she showed that she will be such a respectful, powerful queen. She sees her people and works with them instead of acting superior.
Rohan’s protective and possessive is still an all time favorite.

Perfect ending or is it just the beginning

I'm so happy to see Saoirse finally step up and become the queen, she deserves to be. She has so many obstacles she had to overcome that when she finally did it was a you go girl moment. And I loved it. Then you have Rohan King. (Who by the way has been my favorite from the beginning.) He always knew Saoirse had it in her to be the queen. Everyone needs a man or person in their life like Rohan has Saoirse. Alway cheering her on, standing in the shadows watching and waiting. Ready to fight for you and with you. Thank you good ole Tikky Tokky for introducing me to Shauna! The Kings of Killybegs will always and forever be one of my favorite Dark Romance/Enemies to Lovers series. Desecrated Reign definitely mended the heart after the devastation you experience in Destructive Truths. The entire series will make you laugh, gasp (spice scenes were 🥵), cry and love. As much as I would have loved to be right, Shauna knew what she was doing.. and it was brilliant. The only scene to make me cringe in phantom pain was the "This is what happens when you touch my fiance" 😳😳 but I expect nothing less of Rohan!

This book was AMAZING! I don’t know where to begin! How do I explain just how great this story is without spoilers?? I couldn’t put the book down. I was immediately pulled in and swept off my feet with the evolution that was Rohan. I fell even more in love with him. Saoirse’s development was also captivating. Finally accepting and becoming who she truly is.
Shauna’s writing was fantastic. She knew exactly how to bring out all the feels! Had me tearing up reading the prologue with full on tears and runny nose on the first page of the chapter 1! She had me crying throughout the book. As well as had me on the edge of my seat. She beautifully wrapped up this series. Well done Shauna!

This third and final book in the trilogy couldn't have been better. There were perfect moments that made you cheer for the characters not only together, but separately as well. There were the astonishing WTF moments that I crave. And then, there were the full circle moments that were emotionally satisfying and just freaking perfect. All of these moments were beautifully and flawlessly woven together in the whimsical way only this author can master. This is for sure my favorite and while I'm sad for it to be over, and nursing one heck of a book hangover, I'm so so excited and ready to read on and explore the lives of the other characters of this world. I give this finale a standing ovation!

If everyone else was like me and your heart was shredded with the cliffhanger in book 2… Desecrated Reign picks up right where our shredded hearts still lay🫣 I was so nervous going into this book because book 2 took a toll on my heart. I will say it didn’t ease right away either😩 Lets talk about Rohan! Can this man get any more perfect?! Like seriously!! Rohan and Saoirse have had one hell of a journey together and apart. They’ve been through a lot in the short amount of time they’ve had together. It was great seeing things fall into place for them. The ending for them was chefs kiss and a beautiful touch to their story. So sad for their story to be over but excited for Beibhinn’s story!

Omg this book almost killed me. The emotional roller-coaster was real. There is a mixture of sadness, suspense, and a lot of spice. I really wasn't a fan of Rohan in the first two books, but i fell in love with him in this one. Saoirse, despite the devastating occurrence at the beginning, showed that she is truly meant to be Queen. This book was the best way to end Saoirse and Rohan's story, but now i can't wait to see what happens next.

So freaking good, I am absolutely obsessed with this trilogy. If you love mafia and bully romance this is the series for you. Shauna has a little bit of it all, she gave me so much emotional damage with this series. I’m so glad we got a HEA in the end this King and Queen are made for each other.
I don’t want to give to much away but I promise you this is a must read series.

Well, I'm sad that this trilogy has come to end. But the king and queen got their hea. Yet again more twists and turns and I couldn't put the book down!
Saoirse and Rohan are simply stunning. The love they share is beautiful. That's all I'll say as I'll ramble on. But this series is a must read!

What can I say but WOW. I laughed, I cried, I smiled and I was all up in my feels. This book did not disappoint. From start to finish this series has been one of my favorites. Rohan from his darkness, to his love, his loyalty and respect. Saoirse her strength, love and dedication. I don't want to give any spoilers but it is a MUST READ!!

The tears. The laughter. The healing. The closure this book gave me, I’ve always been Team Rohan but the absolute character growth Rohan went through during this book was amazing! I didn’t think I could possibly love him more than I already did. I can’t wait for the next chapter of this world from the Emerald Isle POV 😍 Phenomenal bittersweet ending!

I absolutely love this trilogy. I feel (for me) it takes something away when you’re waiting for the next book to come out so I will definitely have to go back a reread them all together. But what a great read!!

I burned through this book, it broke my heart a bit more after the ending of book 2, twisted me up but finally soothed some of the wounds at the end. Questions were answered (not all the way we wanted them to be) and tied up loose ends.
I sure hope we get to see more of this world in the near future.

ARC Review
In this book, we see how Saoirse took her grief and pain and channeled it into the strength she needed to achieve her goal. Unlike the previous two books, the development here felt a bit rushed, and even though we got closure for previous events, a ton more questions were left unanswered. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this story as a whole and look forward to reading about characters we already knew, like Bev and Aodhán, and hopefully some of the new characters we were introduced to.

♡ The Kings of Killybegs series must be read in order. Desecrated Reign is book 3. Don't read further if you haven't read books 1 and 2 this trilogy. ♡

It's been an eye opening wild ride, travelling down the darker side of the road with author Shauna Mairead (and her evil genius plotting!) in her Kings of Killybegs series. At first glance nothing is as it seems in this upscale town and its wealthy inhabitants- this Irish syndicate world is one where you never quite know who you're dealing with and loyalities are tested on a minute by minute basis. This series had such an interesting mix of characters, from the rising stars of the future, to the evil villains who would do anything in their power to stop them. I thoroughly enjoyed attempting to figure it all out. If this doesn't make for some non- stop reading, with chills and suspenseful thrills, then I don't know what does.
The pace in the beginning of Consecrated Reign took a slower turn as the aftermath of the completely unexpected twist that ended the previous book left me, along with many others, reeling after such a shocking loss. After that, I wasn't sure how things would go on from there.
I was in the minority on team Liam, so I really loved the glimpses of his spirit rising above the ashes of his selfless sacrifice. While Saoirse grieved the profound loss of her first love, she knows he will be forever ingrained in her heart. Liam reminds her of who she was born to be- a powerful future queen with now only one of her kings to share her throne. So bittersweet, but she feels her love for Rohan with all of her soul.
"There are no words to describe how I feel about Rohan King. He is everything I never knew I needed."
Now, the time has come to move forward, to be the strong woman and leader she hopes she can be. Saoirse and Rowan are determined to do whatever is necessary to push ahead with the plan, the rest of her trials and to hopefully be there at the end of it all to experience the last one of them.
"My love. My heart. My soulmate. My heart is yours to hold."
Shauna Mairead displayed her true talent as an author with her ability to turn my heart around when it came to Rohan King. His expressive words and the multitude of ways he made Saoirse feel every ounce of his soul filled devotion, shined brightly throughout the pages of Desecrated Reign. I do love my sexy bad boy anti- heros with a hidden heart of gold...sigh, this side of Rohan's was unexpected and I loved that she made me see and feel him so clearly.
Saoirse was such a powerful, admirable character, dealing with so much change, suddenly thrown into a world she didn't understand, with people she didn't know or trust. But, trusting her own instincts was part of the game of kings and she learned to play it so well.
With so many tumultuous ups and downs for these characters, by the time this story reached it's unforgettable and emotion filled conclusion, I felt like I had been through the wringer myself. It was worth all the ansgty twists to see these soulmates find their much deserved happiness and to be finally be together at last. After all, a Queen needs her King, with all of his love, standing with her as she rises to take her throne.

Saoirse and Rohan's story was only the beginning of what's to be told in this gritty, take no prisoners world. There's another Killybegs connection on the horizon, the Heirs of Emerald Isle series will bring us someone else's twisted tale- be sure to stay tuned for that and hopefully more Saoirse and Rohan too! Shauna Mairead has now permanently become one of my go to, one click, must read romance authors, dark, light or otherwise! I was more than thrilled to be a part of this exciting journey.
