A botched painting theft, A house cleaner hired as a private detective, A chance for a huge payday which Jane’s little family desperately needs, But first she has to find the would-be thief!
When “Tides of Time” is featured in an art magazine, its worth is vastly increased. Increased enough that someone tried to steal it, but the attempted theft was unsuccessful.
Jane cleans houses to support her children and herself after her husband decided he no longer wanted to be a family man. She recently helped a client find a valuable ring that was stolen from her jewelry case. The client paid her well for finding it and then told all of her friends about the fabulous “private investigator” who had found it.
When the owners of the painting whose theft was botched need a private investigator, they hire Jane based on Jane’s client’s recommendation. She only has five days to find the culprit, but if she can, the payday will be well worth it! You can’t help rooting for Jane as she goes through the list of potential thieves, all of whom have problems with the owners of the painting. Was the motive greed, a vendetta, or pure hatred of the owners?
This is the second book in the Clean Sweep Cozy Mystery Series by a two-time USA Today Bestselling Author.
Jane is a housekeeper who cleans homes and some businesses. She is also trying to removate an old house--but money is tight! She had successfully solved a missing jewelry case for one of her clients--who recommended her to another person--not as a housekeeper--but as a PI. The woman offered her a lot of money--so she figured what the heck--she would give it a try.
It seems someone had attempted to steal a very expensive painting. They did not get it--but the owners wanted to know who it was!! It was not easy as there had been many people in the house during that week. Would she ultimately figure it out?
Meanwhile she and her kids were helping an historian to hopefully find the treasure that was suppisedly somewhere in the town!
2nd book in the Clean Sweep series by Harman finds Jane being hired to investigate who tried to steal a painting. Although a house cleaner by trade, Jane has a knack in Solving cases and this one is no exception. Given a list of potential thieves by the home owners, Jane sets out to find the culprit. It all culminates in a dinner party where the potential thieves have been invited and where Jane catches them red-handed. Her books are light and easy to read - always enjoy them!
This was a very fun, quick read. The main characters are very likeable. The ending will make sure you have to read the whole series. The books are less than 200 pages. I read this one in a day. Fun read!
Very enjoyable characters, engrossing story, comfortable situations, and interesting details. Just what a cozy mystery is supposed to be. Thanks Dianne Harman for the great read! Sincerely, Sharon
I enjoyed the two books in this series a lot! They have a plot, a little mystery and a little struggle. In life it isn’t easy to be a single mom but Jane pulls it all together! Katie

I really enjoyed this book. It's two mysteries in one. One solved and one continued, something to look forward to. This is a page turner and I highly recommend it.
