This is my first romantic suspense and how fun it was! Plus, Wolf definitely knows how to make it spicy! I liked the fast pace, which never lost my attention. I also enjoyed that it was a book with adults that have flaws and history, which felt more relatable versus perfect twenty-somethings that dominate many books. I also don't know much when it comes to military and cyber security stuff, but I was able to follow along just fine. The humor was great as well. I am really excited for more and am looking forward to hopefully a story for Scarlett's bestie!

The premise of this new series is fantastic! US military personnel who lost a limb in combat have a second chance to serve their country as super-soldiers, with prosthetics that double as weapons. Think the Six Million Dollar Man with more of an edge. In this first book, Navy SEAL Chris Daviani wants back in the field, and the attractive scientist who weaponized his new prosthetic is the one who can help him get there. But when someone hijacks control of his new arm and almost kills a presidential candidate, he finds himself on the run with Dr. Scarlett Kerrigan, the scientist, while they try to discover who is trying to shut down Project Viper. Scarlett's used to only being valued for her brilliant mind. Sparks fly when she realizes Chris sees the woman beneath the scientist, and he wants all of her.
This story has it all - action, steam, intrigue, and satisfying HEA.

Couldn’t put the book down. Read it in 2 days. Loved it and can’t wait to read more about the sexy super vets ❤️🇺🇸 Happy to support a local and indie author!

A fun, action-packed military romance with opposites attract, found family, and lots of steamy goodness. A team of wounded veterans are recruited for project VIPER, led by scientist Scarlett Kerrigan. Sparks fly between her and former Navy SEAL Chris Daviani as they find themselves in the midst of a traitor threatening everything they’ve worked toward. Loved the characters and I can’t wait for the next installment.

This is a 1 star for me because I DNFd this book on page 161. It just wasn’t worth it to me to finish out the plot. I started this book two months ago and I just really had a hard time getting through it, but I wanted to give it a chance because I love the Military trope ..

I went into this book expecting a high-stakes military romance, but what I got was so much more. The emotional depth, the chemistry, and the balance between action and heart were absolutely perfect.
Chris Daviani broke my heart and healed it in the same breath. He’s not your typical alpha hero he’s complex, scarred, and fighting demons that feel real. The way the author portrayed his struggle with his identity and self-worth after his injury was raw and beautifully done. And Scarlett? I adored her. Smart, brave, and quietly powerful. Watching her come into her own and realize she’s more than just her intellect was so satisfying.
The tension between them crackles from page one not just physical attraction, but that deep, emotional pull that makes you feel every glance and every touch. Their connection is both tender and explosive, and it never feels forced or overdone.
The VIPER storyline was a great bonus fast-paced, cinematic, and full of twists that kept me guessing. I could see this as a movie!
If you love military romance with real emotion, strong heroines, broken-but-brilliant heroes, and just the right amount of heat, this book is an absolute must-read. I stayed up way too late finishing it and have zero regrets.

I am absolutely blown away by Kristie's talent. This book ~moves~ (seriously, the action is so fun), but woven between the fabric of the plot is this beautiful, intense love story that just tugs at your heart strings. This was one hell of a debut! If you're a lover of romantic suspense than this is the book for you. I know I've found myself another favorite author!
Dr Scarlett Kerrigan has led a very sheltered life. She a genius and after losing her mom at a very young age, she was shipped of to boarding school by her stepfather who only needed her for her brilliant brain. When she finally breaks loose of her stepfather she joins team VIPER where her invention can be used for giving amputees a new bionic limb. What makes her inventions so special is that it can also be used as a weapon, it makes the men more dangerous than before.
Navy Seal Commander Chris Daviani lost his arm and his team during a mission. His wife left him when he came back injured and every since then he thinks he's not worthy of being loved again. He's been given a new bionic arm which makes him more stronger than before. Together with his three new teammates he's ready to go out on new missions.
Scarlett and Chris don't get off on a good start, Scarlett is very confident in het job but feels very insecure in her personal life. When they meet there's an instant attraction but each feels not worthy of the other. Bit by bit they grow to respect one another and their feelings change and grow.
When the project is targeted and Scarlett's life is in danger, Chris and his team do everything they can to save both. They set out to find who is the traitor while keeping Scarlett safe.
I loved every bit of this book, we're kept on the edge of our seat with the lots of twists and turns the story takes while in the meantime there's a sweet love story going on between Scarlett and Chris. Chris learns that there is someone out there who loves him for who and what he is, and Scarlett finds the woman she's supposed to be with the help of Chris' love.
This was a great debut story and I can't wait for the rest of the men in the team to get their own story.

Project Viper is a super top secret government program to create super soldiers from injured veterans who still would like to serve and protect the country. I loved how the story portrays a super respectful picture of the soldier who comes home after seeing war. I felt that was extremely realistic and added to the story. Project Viper starts off with 4 super soldiers so I'm thinking each will get there own book in the series and there is so much room to expand the world as new government programs were hinted at in book 1. I think the only things that stopped me from giving this a four star rating was I was slightly disappointed to have figured out the ending before it was ready to be revealed. The action scenes were still great but part of a super secret investigation novel is figuring out who is the secret bad guy. The second thing was the story seemed very focused on the "big brain" vs. "Badass" aspects of the main character. It got a little repetitive and took me out of the story.

Chris and Scarlett. Branded as a romantic suspense, you get a little more than just guys with guns and a hot costar. This well written story sets Chris, navy seal amputee with a bionic arm working on a team with other military service amputees with other bionic parts. The zing is that their new parts have a built-in little surprise. But they need Dr. Scarlett to ‘activate’ them and now the bad guys who shall remained unnamed (spoiler) want her because of her mind and Chris becomes her protector. The job gives you an assignation attempt on the governor, an escape into a remote cabin, and bad guys with guns.
Love the theme. Love the bionic surprise. I wanted a deeper connection with the MMC, feel his PTSD more, and have him work with his team more. Most of the emotion was written as internal thought and left me wanting more interaction between characters.
If you like alpha heroes, gun fights, a little intrigue, military themes, and romantic suspense, you will enjoy this well written adventure.

I was so engrossed in this fast, paced action packed story from the start that I couldn't put it down!

I was very impressed with this book. I really enjoyed that her cover art! Knowing that the man is a true vet really showing her passion for what she’s writing for and using that was super impressive to me. The story was great, I am not a person that normally likes to read something in narrator pov. I still was super Impressed and enjoyed the book. I can’t wait for Book two come out. I’m not gonna give away any spoilers to the stories. However just somethings that you may just want to know…. slow burn. I’d give it about two chili peppers Nothing crazy female lead finding herself, male lead, realizing that he is not as broken as he thinks he is. They bring out the real people they are inside. As they make a great team!!

Thrilling
My son was at a vendor event when he sent me a text explaining the author of this book was also there. I immediately downloaded this book to my Kindle. Such a delicious story from the start. I need more from Scarlet and Chris and the rest of the team. The book had substance. I got lost reading this story. Definitely a book you can’t put down and when you are done you crave for more. I could see a Netflix series. Too much content for a movie. Kept me reading and on the edge of my seat. I look forward to reading more from Kristie Wolf. Thank you for the pen and bookmark.

Kristie Wolf expertly weaves military romance, suspense, and science fiction into a web of HOT!!! Too Dangerous to Love is Kristie's debut, but it reads like she's been published for decades. The concept for this story and unique world she created is nothing short of brilliant.
If you like a smart heroine who can hold her own against a broody Navy SEAL, a twisty-turny plot, bedroom SPICE, and all the feels, this book is for you!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed A Knife To The Heart, so I wanted to try this series too.
I absolutely love the cover and the title.
The story flowed well. I did really like the main characters and thought their romance and personality worked well together.
My favourite characters had to be Kane, Gage, and Ryan. I know Kane has a book, but I really hope the other two do too!
The whole concept was great and well done.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I didn't want to put it down. Bring on the next one!

Scarlett and Chris may have just become my new favorite book couple! I absolutely loved everything about this book!

Chris thinks he’s too dangerous to love with his steel arm and PTSD nightmares and Scarlett believes everyone is only after her for her brain. Or maybe they are just want each other needs! I cannot wait till 2024 for book 2!

Wow! Too Dangerous to Love is Kristie Wolf's debut novel and it blew me away.
This was an exciting, steamy, military romantic suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Scarlett is a brilliant scientist who has lead sheltered life, when she starts a new job at the DOD she meets Navy Seal Commander Chris whom is part of Project Viper.

To be honest, I had a little trouble getting into the book, but I persevered. And I did well, because it was really a good novel, with action, suspense, romance...
I really liked the found family trope, it's one of my favorites.
The relationship between Chris and Scarlett is just wow and their chemistry is just as crazy.
They both want to protect the other from danger, even if it means putting themselves in danger.
I can't wait to read more about the other characters.

This is my first book of Kristie & definitely NOT my last in one sitting. She has created scorching hot romance with on the edge suspense & danger. We have the thrill of the chase while dodging bullets & kickass weapons to protect. Simmering heat paired with sass, banter, laughter & camaraderie that pulls you in & has you smiling & yelling out at intense moments. Fabulous start to this series i definitely want to follow.

Great steamy romance with an interesting premise! An excellent debut piece that was over too soon and I can't wait to see Kristie Wolf's sequels to this novel! The ONLY reason I would rate it four stars out of five is that I would have loved more focus on the plot. This book was otherwise a fun and intriguing read that was over too soon!

Extremely well written, steamy romance! The obviously talented writer, Kristie Wolf, has a way of painting a tantalizingly "real" vision of raw sex and unbridled romance that had me excited to turn each page from start to finish. "Too Dangerous To Love" would make an excellent addition to any Romance library!!

Chris is a super soldier and Scarlett is the brilliant mind that gave him his equipment. These two don't always see eye to eye but end up being the perfect team. If you like action packed romances, this book is for you. Kristine Wolf is an amazing author I can't wait to read more from her. I could see this book becoming a movie.

Wow insta-attraction story about people with deep scars from their past. My first book about super soldiers and it was definitely a good introduction book for someone who has not read super soldier romances. I also loved the banter between Chris and Scarlett. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

What could be better than super-soldiers with weapons for limbs? This book has it all--suspense, danger, cool futuristic technology, hot military men, and, of course, the steamy romance! If that's your jam, be sure to check this first in series story out.

Amazing book! Kristie keeps you hooked the whole time. I had to keep reading to find out what happens next. The romance, suspense, action and great ending make this one of my favorite books and I can’t wait to keep reading more in the series!

I enjoyed Scarlett and Chris's story. They both had a problem thrusting themselves and feeling worthy, but after a lot of fight and help from their friends, they realized that they were worthy of so much more, including each other.
