This was so cute, but it also hurt my heart. Eden’s feeling a whole lot beaten up by Cupid at the moment and all she needs is a plus-one to take to her ex’s wedding to show she’s over him. Josh has had a thing for Eden for as long as he can remember. Except for one date in high school, their timing has never been right. Can he use this opportunity to escort her to the wedding and all the events leading up to it to show her they could be something special together, or has she been burned so badly by her last relationship that she’ll never give him the chance to mean anything more to her? Second chances are my catnip, so this story hooked me right away. I loved seeing all the effort Josh was willing to go to in order to show Eden how special he believed her to be. I kind of hated that she wasn’t able to simply trust in his feelings, words, or actions, however I could understand why she was gun-shy. It was so special to see them finally get to where they needed to be. And that ending makes me very curious to see what the rest of the series is going to bring us.

I great start to a new series by Megan Ryder. Welcome to Lovelorn. What's a girl to do when bestie is about to marry you ex and you are in the wedding? But worst of all everyone's eye is on you and keeping asking you about your dating situation. So you fake a boyfriend, only issue is the wedding is now weeks away and you need someone. So you hire a date? Eden is now in a pinch because she has been telling everyone about her fake boyfriend for awhile. Now she needs someone to show up to attend all the weekly wedding festivities. So her plan is to hire a date. This is where the towns matchmaker steps in and gives Josh the chance. He has been in love with her since high school and has just moved back home. Can he move from the friend zone to something more? The matchmaker seems to think so. Will Eden and Josh find love. Read and find out. You will not be disappointed.
