A standalone holiday romance about a single mom starting over in a new town and finding love when she isn't looking for it ...
Kelsie
Handsome firefighter swoops in and saves the day for a struggling single mom… It sounds like something straight out of a romance novel, but that’s exactly what happens the first time I meet Pierce in our small-town grocery store. His kind gesture helps thaw my icy exterior, but I can’t afford to get involved with someone who risks his life on a daily basis. After a tragic fire left me to raise my daughter alone, my heart is frozen solid and closed for business. It may be too late, though, because despite my better judgment, I’m already wrapped up in him. This man has ignited a flame that seems resistant to logic. And his love is a gift I never expected to receive.
Pierce Rescuing people is what I do. And the moment I see the sexy single mom standing flustered in the checkout lane, I can’t stop myself from stepping in to help. Sparks fly when she pops into the fire station to say thank you. Even though she tries to deny it, I know I’m not the only one who feels the chemistry between us. For the first time, there’s a fire I don’t want to extinguish. Not when I know I can stoke the flames and burn down those walls around her heart.
Nikki Ash resides in South Florida where she is an English teacher and mom by day and a writer by night. When she’s not writing, you can find her with a book in her hand. From the Boxcar Children to Wuthering Heights to the latest Single Parent Romance, she has lived and breathed every type of book.
Reading is like breathing in, writing is like breathing out. - Pam Allyn
While reading and writing are her passions, her two children are her entire world. You can probably find them at a Disney park before you would find them at home on the weekends!
My personal ick: judging feminism for something that it doesn't even stand for!
“Many feminists would hate me for saying this, but I have no desire to go to school or work. (...) I want to be a mom… a stay-at-home mom. If I can’t do that, I don’t want to have another baby until my husband and I are financially stable so that I can stay home."
"So if you don’t want to go to school, don’t. Fuck feminism. Life’s too short to spend it doing what you think society deems appropriate."
Feminism isn't about having a successful career and being 100% financially independent, it's about having a choice. Being able to chose whether you want to work, be a stay-at-home mom or anything else. So no, don't "fuck feminism"!
DNF @ 68% this book has filled me with RAGE 😡 “fuck feminism” excuse me sir?????
Super insta-lovey and cringe, the FMC had no backbone or personality, the daughter was so ungrateful and the MMC gave me the ick (Pierce???!!! No). It was giving damsel in distress but not in a cute way 🥴🫠 I have many more things to rant about but I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll just contain the rest of my fury xx
LISTEN … this story. It’s an emotional tsunami! Not the gut-wrenching #cryfest kind, but the “hit me everywhere with all the #feels” kind and I just cannot find a single fault in any of that.
Okay, so first, who would not just #swoon all over this …
That is just the tip of the feelgood, magical aura this entire story held. IT WAS CONSTANT and I LOVED IT! GAH, these three stole every bit of my heart with their journey! The spark! The chemistry! The joy. The love. ALL OF IT!
Do yourselves a favor and download this book. It’s worth every single penny and then some! #trust
This was my sign to stop choosing to read books based solely off of the cute fanart I see on Instagram. I should have known better. This book just did not make sense, and was poorly written. The romance was not cute and just felt like really intense lovebombing to me. Also it completely lost me when Pierce said 'f*ck feminism'. Just no.
Another Swoony Holiday romance added to my collection. This one hit all the feel buttons.
Single mom Blue collar hero Love at first sight for him. “I want them to be mine.” Found family Town is called Christmas Valley—hello! Emotional and heart strings pulled Fiery chemistry once the heroine unlocked her heart
The hero literary went out of his way to show her his heart and how he wasn’t going anywhere. I just loved this story so much!
It was ok. I normally love Nikki Ash, but the last 2 books I’ve read by her have just not been it for me.
My biggest issue with this book was the ending plot twist thing they did about the fire. It made zero sense what so ever… yet somehow I still saw it coming.
This book is such a sweet, fluffy, mellow, drama free, hallmark-ish kind of love story.
Just what I needed after the disappointment of Onyx Storm.
The writing is not that great. It comes out as a bit flat and unemotional, the dialogues are a bit cheesy but the plot and the story are cute and you can't not like it.
I especially like that the author represented the MFC's desire to be a mom as totally normal and healthy as it should be. She tackled the issues about society pressuring women to be strong and independent and hardworking and not needing a man or anyone but themselves beautifully. Some women love to be a stay at home mom and take care of their families and that's beautiful. Other women feel fulfilled by pursuing their own careers and that is also ok. But none of them should be judged or frowned upon. And I applaud this author for that.

What better place to fall in love during the holidays than a place called Christmas Valley?
Kelsie and her daughter, Jordan, lost everything when her boyfriend and father of her child died in a house fire. While Kelsie and Jordan escaped with their lives, they’re forced to move in with Trent’s family, who essentially blames her for his death. That lasts for a few years before Kelsie decides they’re better off starting somewhere fresh, and that fresh start is Christmas Valley!
Pierce is a local firefighter who’s had his heart broken, but is not shy about how his feelings for Kelsie and his desire to know both her and her daughter better. Pierce’s steadfastness was one of my favorite things about their romance because Kelsie deserved someone who put her first. Once she gets over the fear associated with his job, she realizes life is too short not to be with who the heart wants. Them spending time together as a family and Pierce bringing her into his huge family on the ranch made my heart warm. Of course there’s some sexy times, but it’s balanced with the sweet moments and meant more since they got to know each other first.
And don’t get me started on how sweet the extended epilogue was!!! This was the perfect Christmas romance to start the season!
who does this male character think he is to say fuck feminism? and the fmc calls him a book boyfriend. shut up. it's obvious this book has such a good quality of writing...
Wrapped Up in You is a holiday romance with a single mom and a firefighter hero. This is a very low angst, easy, insta love romance.
The story starts off with Kelsie and her daughter Jordan surviving a house fire, while her boyfriend/daughter’s father passes away in it. This all goes by super quickly, we don’t ever even see him on page before finding out he passed. We cut to three years later and Kelsie and Jordan have been living with Jordan’s grandparents (her late boyfriend’s parents). The relationship is not so good there so Kelsie moves her and her daughter to the small town of Christmas Valley. There they meet Pierce, who is a local firefighter, when he pays for their grocery items at the store. Pierce is instantly interested in Kelsie and wants to make her and her daughter “his”. He’s definitely the pursuer, while Kelsie is more wary of dating him because he’s a firefighter and the history of fire and loss for her.
That’s pretty much it. Everything goes very easy in their relationship and moves super fast. It was all just too easy for me and I wasn’t super sold sadly. But I can totally see people enjoying this if you want a holiday romance with low angst and just an easy, sweet read.
Oh, how I LOVED Kelsey. She is a single mom raising her daughter after a house fire claimed her boyfriend/baby daddy one night, three years before the events in this story. There is soooo much I would love to talk about, but honestly, you need to go into this story without knowing too much about it. I feel it will enhance the story for you.
My first Nikki Ash book and it won't be my last!!!
Small town, single mom, hot firefighter, adorable little girl, cute puppy dog, and found family all wrapped up in a Christmas book with a bow!!
I was invested from the prologue (all in feels Nikki! It was 7 in the morning, just saying) this story sucks you in and doesn't spit you out... like at all! I didn't want the story to end but yet here I am.
Pierce is an amazing man! He was so patient with both Kelsie and Jordan. Caring, sensitive, thoughtful just a whole packaged deal.
Kelsie is such a strong woman. Trying to do everything she can for her little girl in a new town. I totally get why she was more hesitant when it came to Pierce. But let's be honest, those sparks were flying way before she actually figured it out.
I loved how Pierce's family took both of them in like they were their own! It was so sweet and endearing!
This was a super sweet, Hallmark vibed romance that tells the story of tragedy, loss, pain, moving on, falling in love and starting over! Highly recommend this one this holiday season!

That was a cute and quick read, I did not have higher expectations and the story is very predictable BUT it get the job done.
The story was one of healing and overcoming tragedies, but do not worry, it's not deep into grey feelings but also not superficial, i'd say it focuses more on the 'good' side of it.
Pierce, our mmc, was a green flag from page 1, he was always there ready to be supportive both emotionally and physically 💞
Let me start off by saying that I have no idea what magic Nikki did for this book but I was invested from the beginning and I don't regret staying up late to finish it. Pierce was the good that Kelsie and Jordan needed. Kelsie and little Jordan were the things that Pierce was missing. I fell in love with them from the beginning. Pierce was the man you desire off page. Kelsie was the friend you could bond within the real world. I mean a small-town romance and a second chance at love who wouldn't want to read that? I read it so quickly that I was bummed when it was finished. Now that happy ending melted my soul. Add in the bonus epilogue and this book was perfection
This whole book felt like really weird propaganda for anti feminist bitches that think they're special for being SAHMs. News flash the whole concept for feminism is giving woman the ability to have a choice if you *choose* to be a SAHM cool but that's your *choice*
Damn near gave up on this book when the line "many feminists would hate me for saying this..." but I held out (which was a mistake)
This author also very clearly has never been told the phrase "show don't tell" I was told fucking everything in this book my God. I don't even write in any capacity but Jesus
Lastly, this couple 110% got divorced after the book ended. 👍🏼
Pierce and Kelsie were super cute. And Jordan was just the cutest thing ever. I adored her. I am a big ole grinch who avoids Christmas stories but I loved this book. I felt like I was reading a Hallmark movie and I couldn't get enough of them. Very low angst and drama in this one. It really is a feel good book and perfect for the holidays.

Honestly it was just underwhelming. I have no attachment to these characters what's so ever and it felt like the whole book would just skim over a problem or scene that was important but drag on about how she's walking on the street for a while and they keep bringing up the same stuff over and over again just boring not it
This one just didn’t work for me. Normally I love single mom books but this one just rubbed me the wrong way. I really wasn’t a fan of the FMC and how she basically wanted someone to take care of her forever. I guess I just prefer my FMC’s to have a little more independence.
This started off strong!!! I was really enjoying the read and then I got to like 100 pages in and everything changed🤣the book was still good and I still enjoyed reading it, the book has so many parts in it that had me giggling and kicking my feet but at the same time I was thinking ew wtf am I reading😭 and not in a way to say that author doesn’t know what she’s doing! I mean of course she does but for me personally I like my books to flow smoothly and I felt as if after the first 100 pages the book was so rushed and everything was happening sooooo fast! I also get it was a short book only about 260 pages but still! How has the MMC said he is obsessed with this girl when he’s only just met her in a grocery store! And then it jumped to him basically showing up at her house because he didn’t get her number and from there everything just escalated. Next thing I knew they were engaged and he kept saying how he wanted her to be pregnant now! Sir you’ve know this woman all of 5 MINUTES!! I honestly picked this up because I saw firefighter mmc and thought yes please because she hadn’t read a firefighter book before. Still the found family trope was so cute🥹
This book was like a hallmark christmas movie but spicier and I loved every minute of it!!
Kelsie and her daughter Jordan are looking for a fresh start after a house fire left them with nothing. After losing Jordan's father and Kelsie's boyfriend, they're forced to live with Jordan's grandparents, even though they are not welcomed. After reaching a breaking point, Kelsie moves her and Jordan to a new small town, Christmas Village, looking to start over.
Pierce Adler is a fireman who loves his job and his family. After being cheated on by his ex, he's stopped looking for someone to share his life with. Until fate intervenes and Pierce helps Kelsie at the grocery store when she can't pay for all of her things.
The two become quick friends and Pierce realizes that he wants Kelsie and Jordan in his life for good. He continuously shows Kelsie how much they both mean to him and that they are far from the burden everyone has told her they were in the past. Will Kelsie let her guard down to finally let love in? Or will it go up in flames?
THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD! I absolutely loved Pierce and Kelsie and how much he truly cared for her and her daughter. He was the ULTIMATE book boyfriend - constantly doing things for the two of them just to make them smile. The way that he loved Jordan as his own was truly the cherry on top. I felt like I was in a Hallmark Christmas movie the entire time I was reading this book. This is a must read for the holiday season!!

Nikki Ash is one of my favorite discoveries of 2022. So it's been a year since I've read most of her books. I love how inspiring and swoon-worthy they are!
I've been waiting for this Christmas novel ever since it was announced. This is my first time to read a holiday novel from her. I love watching holiday movies, and to read them is just as wonderful.
Pierce, Kelsie and Jordan will steal your heart away.
It has a little bit of angst but full of charm. There are parts that are probably difficult to read to some but they're nothing you can't handle.
I love how everything just falls into place when you're with the right person.
If you're looking for a swoon-worthy, single parent Christmas novel, then this one is for you!
Wrapped Up In You by Nikki Ash is a holiday romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Tim Paige.
I absolutely love Nikki's books! She always gives me all the feels with each of her books. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Pierce and Kelsie. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
Sarah and Tim did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for a holiday romance, single mom romance, firefighter romance, or a small-town romance.
