Eldritch Black does it again, and this his 7th book about the goings on on Weirdbey Island is just the right book to read this spooky October month as it is all about Halloween coming to the island. Seems the people of Whidbey celebrate Halloween real big time, and everyone is geared up for some spooky fun and games including the adults, however it is only our young members of The Owl and Wolf Society who are in the know about the real danger everyone is in once again. They intend to put a stop to the fear crown going to any of the three fearsome contestants of the haunt, these being the the Candy Clown, the Scarecrow King and the Night Hag. However in order to do this our group of youngsters had to steal the keys to the haunts house and the clock was ticking. The candy clown betrayed and made a fool of Dylan, who for some reason always got chosen to take the risks, and in the end it was he who had to enter the haunt and fight for the crown and for his very life. However though the clown thought he was funny and tricky he was no match for the human boy and his experience at fighting off bullies. Once again I really enjoyed this adventure spooky story on Weirdbey island, I love the courage the kids show in the face of danger and their resilience in doing their best to keep the island safe from evil. I look forward to another adventure hopefully coming soon.
Eldritch Black has done it again, as usual! I am seriously loving watching these kids tackle their fears, A little at a time. P. S. I kNEW that clowns were scary for a reason!
