In a world plunged into chaos, this was the apocalypse no one saw coming...
Ed Crowley, a US Army captain is haunted by a tragedy, one that's made him wary of man's best friend. He’s about to have 100 million more reasons to be wary of them.
A sinister mutation of the rabies virus has begun its relentless march through the world's dog population. In a nation already home to over 90 million domestic dogs, with countless more roaming wild and feral, Rabies 2.0 is poised to unleash a living nightmare.
These infected creatures aren't just rabid; they've morphed into grotesque, ravenous giants, and Captain Crowley is thrust into a mission to rescue trapped civilians in a besieged town. For him, it's just another day in the line of duty; after all, in his world, bullets settle disputes, and these adversaries don’t have weapons. Little does he realize that he's about to confront a foe more cunning and merciless than any armed, two-legged enemy he ever faced.
Prepare to immerse yourself in the heart-pounding world of Rabid States, by Scott Medbury, the acclaimed author of the epic post-apocalyptic saga, AMERICA FALLS. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic thrillers, this is one you won't want to miss.
Zombie apocalypse in dog form. Very interesting concept and although I didn’t think I’d like it, I wanted to give it a try as I loved the authors “America Falls” series. Surprised myself by not being able to put the book down, read it in one evening then had to download the next in the series to continue the adventure. Highly recommend if you enjoy a fast pace apocalyptic thriller.
A fun, enjoyable read and little different from other zombie-esque fare. A few typos but nothing too detracting from the reading experience. A rabies idea makes for a novel (no pun intended) approach and gives the plot bite (pun intended).
Want a different but equally great read, this is the book. Your friendly pet, best friend you name it is suddenly turned into a monster. Read and enjoy
I am using this as a place holder for rabid states: end game since it's not on good reads. It was a great book and series. I really enjoyed listening to it back and forth to work.
I love that instead of zombies, it's dogs. Nice change. Book 1 is fast paced and entertaining. It is a cliffhanger. If I hadn't gotten the full series as a pack, I'd be pissed.
