Ben and Teetoncey take to the sea--he, to find his brother, and she, to escape a forced return to England. But can they survive storms, harsh ship life, and a relentless pursuer?
After reading the last book of this trilogy, I am disposed to give it 4 stars. It is a very good book written for young people, and it holds subtelties that are appealing to brighter young people and adults. One has to read between the lines. I had a satisfied feeling when I finished. Thanks to my grandson who recommended it.
I was absolutely enchanted by this series when I first read it. I'm guessing on the read date but it must have been before 1985 because I mention in my journal from 1985 that I've read this whole series and loved it.
