Truce was that dude! Ivy was a spoiled brat initially, but she became humble real quick. Juju and her minion Jazz got on my nerves. She was jealous of Ivy because she didn't have any standards and morals herself. She found out the hard way about messing with Truce the wrong way🤣 Dallas hurt my feelings for a second with his treatment of Unique, but he eventually stopped the little boy game. Gutta was just as grimey as his name 🤬.

Wow! 🔥🔥🔥
I don’t even know what to say because I couldn’t put this book down at all. This book was released today and I finished it within a couple of hours lol. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I loved Ivy and Truce together but Unique on the other hand was foul that’s all I’m gonna say cuz I don’t want to spoil the book. Overall a great read and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Must Read
Ivy had to learn quickly to adjust to the changes in her life. She went from living in the lap of luxury to living in the hood after her parents went to jail. Even though her and Unique are cousins. They are very different. Unique was loud and wild. You can tell at first she was a little envious of Ivy by her throwing a little shade but Unique did have her back when dumb and dumber tried to jump Ivy. Learning to fight and defend herself was new to Ivy but she didn't back down. She experience jealousy from young women her age before but the jealousy she was getting from Juju and Jazz was on a different level. Them two tramps were the definition of hating ass hoodrats. Ivy also had to learn that just because she had a good heart everybody can't be trusted. I already knew Gutta was on some creep s**t when he offered her a ride. Luckily she was able to protect herself from him. Truce was smitten with Ivy from the beginning because she was pure, innocent, and wasn't like the hoes he was used to. He definitely didn't have to apply too much pressure because Ivy was feeling the same way. I was glad they ended up together. Unique was more like her mother than she realized. I couldn't do anything but shake my head at the fact she was messing with Darryl but running up behind Dallas. Unique is young but she is old enough to know right from wrong and creeping with Darryl was scandalous as hell. Katori wasn't necessary a bad mother to Unique but the way's she was teaching her wasn't the best. Especially that advice in the Hospital after Dallas was shot. I'm sure it hurt her heart when she walked in on Unique and Darryl thinking she was protecting her daughter from getting raped only to find out it was something totally different. I'm surprised Dallas didn't find out the truth about what really happened between Darryl and Unique or who really was behind robbing him. If he would've found out. I think he would have believed Unique set him up. Him and Unique relationship was toxic. He also had some secrets that had Unique questioning their relationship.

Nice Easy Read! SPOILERS‼️
I loved this stand-alone. I hate how Unique but her momma in that predicament cause she wanna be grown. The crazy part is he probably did all that in the beginning to get close to Dallas money anyway. I can’t believe he did his son like that though idk like how you gonna be a bad dad cause you wanna keep going with a lie 🥴. I loved Truce besides his childish moments of thinking Ivy supposed to be perfect but he never would hear her out. Now everything with Chris was a little crazy cause she got entire situation wrong 😩 Well me too🤣. I’m happy they got their happy ending and it didn’t consist of her getting pregnant young but instead she continued her education🤗. I would’ve loved to hear about her daddy sentencing and how they went about selling that jewelry though. Also what happened with DJ since Unique only talked about her twins

Enjoyable story about love, family, respect, and understanding that your circumstances in life don't have to.define.who you are as a person, young or old. Unique was trifling, but she was supportive to her cousin. Unique definitely needed to find ways to love herself. Truce was young, but he understood what it took to be a man. His family was supportive regardless of how he initially made his money! Falling for Ivy was the best thing he could have ever done for the both of them. Ivy was immature at times, but she was humbled quickly by the events that surrounded her, especially her uncle, who did the best that he could with what he had! Ivy knew that Truce was for her, but the short rime that they were apart was needed. I love the epilogue and hope to see more of Truce and Ivy

Just not it
So let’s get this straight. This book is about underage high school girls having sex with grown men one being her mothers boyfriend. Not only that but Unique find out here dude has a side baby and he gives her some dumb excuse and she takes him back? This literally felt like I was reading a high school book. No one took accountability for their actions. Y’all write these women to be so weak and willing to accept the bare minimum. Although these stories are fiction it’s still disheartening when the main female character is so weak that her own momma is telling her to stay with a dude who cheated on her just for some money and she listens. It’s the same plot every book no matter the author. Do better!!!

Loved It
Ivy was thrust into a lifestyle that was a lot different from the way that she was raised with her parents. She had a few mishaps along the way but I enjoyed watching her become humble and adjusting to her new lifestyle. Dallas was the man to see in Oakcliff meeting Hilary Banks (Ivy) was just what he needed. Their first interaction consisted of business but everything that transpired between them afterwards was meant to be. I am so happy that things worked out for them and they were able to get their happy ending. Black Lavish I must say I enjoyed this standalone and I am looking forward to your next release!!!

Nice, quick standalone. Ivey was getting on my nerves at first but then I had to remember how old she was and how sheltered she was with real life I wish she could’ve gotten payback on Juju and her friend but Truce handled that💪🏽 Truce was a cool dude but to me he didn’t have that BDE but I feel this may be the beginning of there story because they’re young and just starting out now Unique and Dallas I loved them they were a cute couple Maybe we will get an update on the couples in the future. It was good read

Nice very nice
This standalone is so lit. I love that my new babies followed their hearts. Ivy and truce is one beautiful couple and I would love to get an update on them like Christmas or valentines. Uni and Dallas they had me weak but I'm glad they worked everything out and on top of the world. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Great story
Enjoyed this standalone love story. When Truce first met Ivory his Ashley Banks there was just something about her and after they got to know each other their love blossomed. Unique went down the wrong path at first and because of it her mother had to live with the guilt of doing something that was draining the usual spooky life out of her. Even after all they went through everyone ended up with the one they loved and got that future they worked hard to maintain.

Ivy wasn’t ready for the Dallas life, but in comes Truce, the King of the streets and opposite attraction!! Not sure how I feel about cousin Unique and her carrying on with her life like she did no wrong!! Overall a sweet love story that need better backstories!!!

Black Lavish is a very skilled story teller. I loved this book Truce and Ivy are so cute together and I am happy they got their happily ever after. Unique and Dallas were also perfect together and I’m glad he didn’t find out the truth about what happened with the robbery. Her mom definitely wasn’t as clueless as she portrayed when she killed Darryl she was teaching her daughter to be a gold digger. This is a must read

This love story was so sweet. Truce and Dallas was some good men to be so young. Now Unique, I'm on the fence about her. She could not be trusted. Anyone that would do their own mother like that did not deserve a happy ending. Ivy was such a sweet girl and I was glad that she got away from her ex boyfriend. He did not mean her no good.

Really good book! Both Truce and Ivy were young. Truce knew exactly what he wanted. I wish we got to see more of their relationship, but overall it was a good book. Just enough drama and secrets.

I didn’t want this story to end! I loved that the young love eventually evolved despite each situation. Is it crazy that I agreed with Unique’s mom on properly handling her bf & keeping his “hard earned valuables?”
