Another page turner. I would like to give it 4.5 stars instead of 5 because in some ways this is a cliffhanger, and the next book isn't due until July. Jessie and Alex are coming close to the real reason for the shady business her brother was involved in. A woman is murdered, a young man photographs the scene with his drone, and Jessie's friend is kidnapped to force her to help retrieve the drone operator and the footage.

I love Jessie Night and want to be like her. She is not only a strong woman but a strong character. John has a bigger role in this story. We learn more about him as his character is developed further. The suspense was stronger in this book, and there weren't as many twists, but it didn't need them. There were fewer characters in the mix, also.

Jessie is excited that her best friend, Cora, is coming to visit her. When Cora is kidnapped after Jessie is called in on a murder case, Jessie moves heaven and earth to get her back. Even though the police force is replacing corrupt officers with new ones, she is still unsure of who she can trust there. Even though Alex is helping her and agrees not to fill in the rest of the officers, she turns to John, the local bad boy biker, for help.

Fighting Evil

A young woman's body was found just off a hiking trail in the mountains. Since many properties had been bought and others where the owners were threatened, the body seemed to be part of an evil trying to take hold in their small community. Many surprises and twist to the ending.

Good reading

I like the story line, Jessie and Blizzard and Alan , now John. I can see Alex and Jessie getting together but now John is gonna put a crinkle into that plan. Romance competition. I would love Blizzard as a pet. But he will be so well trained when Jessie is done. Can't watch t to read the next chapter.

Really 3.5 stars

Series is getting better. Still a little rushed with character development a bit neglected but overall better than the first book in the series. Well edited with correct grammar and word usage, which is not always available in this type of books.

Solving A Mystery

Jessie and Blizzard made a good connection and they help each other. Alex and Jessie are trying to figure who to trust and what is going on their community. The action became very aggressive but they did succeed in finding out what was happening.

It took me a while to get into the story. It's a little tiring to keep hearing what a bada** Jessie is, but I can't be too mad about a heroine. What's up with the typo's, incorrect puncutation, and missing/incorrect words?

Beautiful sequel to a perfect story. Jessie and Blizzard are my favorite crime fighters.
