This is a story with some dialogue about a different monkey-boy than the one in Cave-In and him getting bored working of his job at a dig, after which he finds a hole full of diamonds that are really crystals and an old man tries to kill him because he found his crystals and he falls into a pit and finds the old man's house in a cave and a book and he returns to the dig and quits his job and treats his friend like crap and tries to figure out the book and finds out it's a diagram for a time machine so he builds the time machine only he forgot the crystals and he ends up in some shitty wasteland and so the end.

Remembering that Bralph is/was a teacher of something in the realm of "making graphic novels" at a prestigious art college led me to add this to a BWB>BB>CSSP*.

The main character starts in a soviet-style work group underground but is more advanced intellectually than the rest so he seeks escape which leads him through a labyrinth of caverns and tunnels to a wild human who has the ticket to his freedom! It's a book that he uses to build...

Brian Ralph can wrestle more emotion out of one little line in one panel than most people can muster in an entire career. He is an unheralded artist more deserving of wider recognition for his work. Hopefully REGGIE 12 will find him a new, burgeoning audience.
