Chapel

Rate this book
For the town of Rose Valley Hills, the wedding to commemorate the love between Nova Cane and Chapel Wilson was slated to be the event of the decade. With a guest list of over three-hundred people RSVP’d to be in attendance, everyone who was anyone, would be there. At the final wedding rehearsal, Nova shares a truth that can potentially end their marriage before it even begins.

Chapel has always been a runner. When things seem beyond her control, her fight or flight instincts cause her to flee. A year after learning of her fiancé’s infidelity passes before she has the courage to return home to Rose Valley Hills. And when she does, it’s with a plan of revenge. Nova must pay, and the woman he cheated on her with will too.

What starts out as a need for revenge and getting what she deserves leads to Chapel realizing how much of her life revolves around her circle of friends… and how many secrets swirl around in it. Anger and hurt take her down a path that shows her not only who she truly is but those around her as well.

With pieces of her heart shredded like confetti, Chapel has no desire for love. She’s too busy focusing on hate. Still, love finds its way to her through the person she least expects. Will she have the courage to exchange her plans of revenge for a new relationship, or has Nova’s betrayal made it impossible for her to ever trust and love again?

Chapel and Nova were gearing up for the wedding of the century when his betrayal and infidelity was revealed during their final wedding rehearsal dinner. Baby this man was out here foul and audacity must’ve been one of the wedding gifts because his 🍑 opened it early and put it to use! 😒 Chapel decided that there’s no redemption in their future, packs up and moves leaving everything and everyone behind.

Now that a year has passed, Chapel decides to return home on the ultimate get back mission determined to make everyone that played in her face pay in a major way. The way that hate was deep in Chapel’s soul wasn’t nothing to play with and took her down a path to the point where she didn’t recognize herself.

The more she tries to exact revenge the more she realizes that the best revenge is to forgive those that have wronged her and move on with her peace of mind.

This was a decent read with a plot twist towards the end that had me side eyeing mfs big time! I can’t say I’d recommend this story because there it is better out there but if you’re looking for some quick entertainment give it a go!

When reviews said it was messy I was expecting messy this was barely messy. Chap is returning after being away for a year cause bxtchass Nova broke her heart. Allegra daughter’s father I figured out right away that wasn’t a surprise nor was her being with him at the end. Tiffany hoe ass needed another ass whooping. Now to Jerry I loved Jerry for Angel. Jerry didn’t let nobody mess with his Angel. It’s him buying a whole radio station to fire ole girl for talking shit about Angel. I was glad Angel and Jerry found love with each other. He’s my soulmate 🥰🥰

I like Lei and Noah being mentioned by I low key wanted some cameos from them

Whew, B! You really showed out with this one! Miss Chapel had her life upended, when her fiancée dropped that bomb, the night before their wedding! Angry, and humiliated she runs! Trying to find herself, and some semblance of normal after that devastating blow. 💔

Throughout the read, Chapel really went through it. Her emotions went haywire, from wanting to ruin lives, to maybe spinning the block, or running again because the pain was too much to bear. Seeing her go through those stages, to maturity was beautiful, cause them damn friends she got ain’t ish!

I couldn’t believe Nova’s ass, thinking he had any chance of getting back with Chap, after that ish he pulled! Really ni**a?? He was just trash! The end! 🤬

Miss Allegra… girl? I knew something was shady with you right away upon Chapels return. I had a funny feeling who Ava’s daddy was too! 👀

Jerry! Lawd, why was this man so perfect? He is who Chapel needed all along. He had sat on the sidelines long enough, and when she gave him an inch, he was playing for keeps! ❤ Great read! 👍👍👍

Aye, you should read this one..

Yes, I said it. Chapel was a good read. I needed her to chill a few times, but can you blame her for the shiggity happening with her friends? No... With all the drama, it was easy to see some of the vileness a mile away. Friends aren't always true friends. I knew Noel wasn't ish...Jeremiah was the real deal. I had no issue with the choices he made regarding Chapel... Get ready for the good drama in this one.

So much drama! - may contain spoilers

I really enjoyed this book and it was full of some messy drama from the start. I thought Chapel was relatable in a sense as someone who used to be a runner myself but she seemed to run from everything and it only seemed to hurt her more once the situation was addressed. I’m not sure why she never looked at Jeremiah romantically before their relationship shifted some because they called each other soul mates and seemed to do everything couples do but have sex. It makes me wonder if they were always that affectionate toward each other or did things just escalate after a year apart. I understood Chapel moving away after what Nova revealed but I didn’t understood how she was away a year and never even tried to heal and her whole revenge plot seemed flawed from the start and had me looking at her sideways. The best way to ever show someone who hurt you that they fumbled your heart is to be happy, whole, healed and thriving not still bitter and angry after so much time has passed. I do think Chapel needed Jeremiah and his unconditional love helped her heal in no time once she returned. Jeremiah Simpson was that man. The way he loved Chapel been to the point of throwing Nova ideas on how to love her was unmatched and I hate that Chapel was so hesitant to put a title on their relationship and kept trying to protect Nova’s feelings because at that point Nova who?! Jeremiah stood ten toes down behind his Chap and even when he disagreed with her, he told her but showed he would have her back regardless. I loved these two together and their chemistry and connection had me in my feels from the time they reconnected and the wing spot. From that scene alone, I was wondering why Chap even considered Nova because it was clear her forever love Jeremiah had been in her face the entire time.

Now to Allegra and Nova. These two were not good friends at all and I didn’t care for them. Nova had plenty audacity pressing Chap to still be friends after what he did to her. There was no coming back from that. And Allegra tried with her anger over Chap being gone and what she did in her absence. I get being upset that your best friend left and went radio silent for a year but some of the things Allegra said to Chap when she returned were gaslighting especially with the secret Allegra was holding onto. I knew who her baby daddy was from her evasiveness and tears about her drunken one night stand and that was foul. Chapel came back and wanted revenge but after being around her crew again, she wanted them to get back to their friendship even more but that ship had sailed because of the deception and secrets from Nova and Allegra and I was glad that Chapel finally realized that. You can love people without having the same relationship you once had with them or giving them that same access to you.

All in all, this was a really good book and I highly recommend it.

Okay this was my first B. Love book and this was slightly messy. After being publicly embarrassed and cheated on Chapel was in her revenge era and even though she came to her senses she technically still got revenge by just finding her happiness and peace. Which literally is the best revenge and she still got to beat a b**** a** lol. I mean they both kind of deserved it… And not giving to much I knew something strange was going on with Allegra I was right but had the wrong person.

Jeremiah was bae and I was so confused at first like you called this man your soul mate but was dating a man you couldn’t be fully honest with or yourself with?!? And then your man knew you called another man your soul mate?! Chileeee!!! I was gagged because WTF!
I low key felt bad for Nova and him just constantly begging to be Chapel’s friend. Yelling at the book for him to get a clue and Stand Up because the audacity he had in this whole mess.

OMG……the chaos

I don’t even know where to start and I don’t know what to write without giving something away. I’ll say this though, I loved every single word and I was extremely satisfied with the ending. I had several moments of rage and I don’t wish 3 of them people anything good but Chapel and *redacted* are my babies.

I was hoping they were endgame from the beginning!!!!

Bruh this book was just messy - not in its writing but its characters - and I was eating it up lol.

Chapel (the character) got on my nerves in the beginning. Like I understand wanting revenge and still being hurt but I was kind of like “girl you gotta work on yourself. It’s been a year”. That being said, I was kind of siding with Allegra in the beginning but then I was like “hold tf up” and started side eyeing Allegra. If you’re my longtime best friend, I expect you to tell me I need to grow tf up BUT I also expect you to still have my back if I’m trying to f something/someone up (like how Jeremiah still had Chapel’s back). So that lead me to figure out why Allegra kept Ava a secret from Chapel before it was revealed.

Speaking of, Allegra and Tiffany’s ass whippings were deserved and I’m happy Chapel also popped Nova in the midst of it all.

I really liked Jeremiah but I didn’t like the fact that (for majority of the book) it seemed like his sun rose and set whenever Chapel said it did. Like he had that “you are my world” type of love for her and I’m not a fan of that. I need you to have a life and desires outside of the person you’re in love with.

As for the layout of the storytelling, I wish it was dual perspective to give us a little more insight to what Jeremiah was feeling. We only got one chapter from his perspective, which we really didn’t need. That chapter could’ve just been a conversation that happened between him and Chapel.

Taboo…but good nonetheless

This was different. While I understood Chapel’s anger and resentment towards Nova and Tiffany, I didn’t understand how she was willing to risk her own happiness to give him grace. There’s no way we would’ve been cool after what he did and how he did it, and after the big bombshell was dropped both he and Allegra could kick rocks. They’re literally trash. I wouldn’t be connected to them in any capacity, so Chapel was better than me. Now enough on all of the trash people, and on to the only one worth loving Jeremiah.

Jeremiah was the man. He loved Chapel enough to deny himself of her, while spoon feeding another man cues to woo her. I loved how he stood ten does down behind her regardless of what she was trying to do. He was definitely her soulmate and I hate she was so hesitant to give him a shot. Whew.

Another friends to lovers romance done right. Jerry and Chapel were soul mates but for years they operated as best friends. Jerry loved Chapel but respected the friendship boundary and never pushed for more. Chapel didnt view Jerry as a romantic interest. She was content with having him as a best friend while being engaged to a mutual friend. After that relationship bites the dusk, and she spends a year mourning and licking her wounds, she begins to see Jerry in another light. Lots of secrets are revealed and thru it all Jerry remains steadfast in his love for Chapel.

Jerry is my guy. This dude told no lies and told her beyond question. I loved how he loved her. I loved how he showed up for her. And I loved how he defended and protected her, even when she didn't know it. My guy.

Stuck For Life

I typically don’t leave reviews often because I don’t know how, but I just feel the need to let everyone who reads this book that Jeremiah Simpson is off limits!! He’s mine! You may have had him once, but I got him all time!🤣 idc idc idc. I will fight every night to prove my love for him💪🏾👊🏾😂
Now, I will spoil the book if I start talking about what I loved about it, so I’m going to allow you all to have your one night stand with this book. Don’t come back for seconds and thirds because JEREMIAH SIMPSON WILL STILL BE OFF LIMITS!!👊🏾😂
Overall the character development, the build-up, and execution of this novel was well done. I expected nothing less from the GOAT! Just remember what I said in the first and second paragraph. Love you! Enjoy the read!☺️😂

I absolutely loved it

There was so much I loved about this book. This is the B Love that I love. Chapel and Jerry were everything to each other and became even more. Friendship’s like life can be messy, but healing, growth and forgiveness can do wonders for the soul. There were so many parts that resonated with my soul that I just smiled a lot while reading. And while some of the things that occurred may be taboo to some, it was just a great example that sometimes life happens and people do things that you never thought they would or could; but even through hurt and pain life goes on. And everyone is just trying to do the best they can. Great book!

Amazing Read

Chapel had to find herself, again. Jeremiah was her person that made sure she was at peace to do that. It was obvious from the beginning that Jeremiah was her one and he loved everything about her. Nova never truly knew her to be in love with her. He knew what Jeremiah told him, and that was deceitful. Chapel deserved everything that Jeremiah offered. They all went through several emotions. Their friendship was tested beyond measure, but they worked it out. This is an amazing read. Job well done!

Love is patient

Babyyyyyyyyyyyy Chapel was better than me. So much had happened that it was crazy. I couldn't see how Allegra was mad because Chap decided to leave. Yeah, she could've called but it worked both ways and Allegra or nobody else could imagine the hurt she went through and the embarrassment she went through caused by Nova. I loved Jeremiah for Chapel he always had her best interest at heart. I believed he had loved and was in love with Chapel from the very beginning and with him being patient he ended up with the love of his life.

definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spoiler alert‼️
First, this book was so good. It was different reading one character’s view the entire time. Different but good. Jeremiah was bae😘🥰 all day from day 1!! Tiffany was a snake 🐍 and Nova was 🗑️ trash. I knew Allegra was sheisty and had Nova’s baby from the minute she was evasive about the paternity. And had the nerve to be 😡 mad at Chap for staying away!!!! Chile go somewhere. I was sad for Chap’s mom.
Great read👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Where in the world is Jeremiah? How did he escape my life? This was 🔥🔥. I was so mad at Nova that I thought I wasn’t going to finish the book but babbyyy….ooo wee I am so glad I did. I will just say this was a true love story. Jerry loved the hell out of Chapel. The others were a good fit for the story. I wasn’t ready for this but it fit my taste. This is a great read!

Happy Reading‼️

Chapel's journey was emotional, evolving from a desire for revenge to gaining maturity, even though her friends weren’t always supportive. Nova thought he could win Chapel back, but he was just terrible!

I had my suspicions about Miss Allegra from the beginning, and I guessed who Ava's father might be!The story had a twist at the end that caught me by surprise, making it an entertaining quick read.

Great Love From Great Heartache

Chapel Wilson had been put through the wringer. Her obtuse fiance thought it would be a good idea to clear his conscience by confessing his long-term infidelity (with the person Chapel had mentored) the night before the wedding. The relationship came to a screeching halt and Chapel disappeared for a whole year to get herself together. We'll, that didn't work out for her, so now Chapel is back... with an agenda.

When Your Future Has Always Been There.

B. Love. Such a sweet read. Chapel, had what many of us never had a true soul mate. To be hurt beyond belief Chapel never thought she would heal again. Jeremiah has always been her safe place. Their journey was so good. Jeremiah took his time and Chapel finally began to heal correctly. M

so sweet.

This story was beautiful. The growth and maturity in this book is not on a level that I have yet reached given the unfortunate circumstances Chapel was placed in, but I am happy that because of it, everything worked out well for her. Howeverrrr, Nova and Allegra were extremely weird! Great book!

Loved It

I loved this story. Most importantly I loved Jeremiah. 90% of what I read is romance novels. And there have been a lot of great men. However, B. Love created a character I want in my life. That every woman would want in their life. Thank you B. Love for reminding me of what I need.

A Ride

Channel's love story took her through the valleys, mountains, hurricanes and tornadoes. When the storm ceased, that's when the Sun showed up and showed out. Jeremiah is that person that knows how to treat a woman. B. Love this was another one of your books I'll hold close in my heart.
You make me want to fall in love again and again.

JERRY was everything! The way he loved Chapel was so beautiful! I wish we got to know more about Jerry! I wanted more of him! Chapel was a cry baby and I get why but at times I was like dang again. Not surprised about the Nova and Allegra situation. B. Love always comes through with the great books. Phenomenal storyteller!

Her soulmate for the WIN ❤️

Great read ! Things were bumpy on the beginning but I’m so glad Chapel had Jeremiah in her corner. Allegra was wrong for so many reasons and I also didn’t like how her and Nova got to be happy with each other. But I’m the end Jerry got his Angel and I’m here for it

I just would like to say that there was so much drama and backstabbing going on in this book that I was very annoyed. The writing isn’t bad at all. It’s just the constant drama. Yes, there is a budding relationship happening in the background of the drama, but it’s annoying that it’s not the forefront. Jeramiah is top-tier obviously, but basically everybody else is a villain 🤣

I just fell in love with Chap & Jerry! Y’all this man loved his best friend through her healing and then some…I’m so happy it worked out for Chap in the end and she received EVERYTHING plus some through a man that truly loved her inside out. Great story, once I started this book I couldn’t stop.
