Watch out, Montreal! The Quebec Quint is about to embark on their most epic adventure yet.
Set to protect the surviving elementals, my siblings and I spread the word through the network of empowered guilds that we’re leaving our lives in the Human Realm behind. With Sasobek on the loose and the hostile opposition to Briar fulfilling his destiny as the true king of Litaui, our new beginnings will be hard won.
But hey, what else is new?
A maniacal sister, an empowered object that siphons elemental powers, and a nefarious necromancer stand in our way as we fight to reclaim our heritage and live in peace.
History is poised to repeat itself as the elemental kingdoms face a Poreskoro threat yet again, but this time Gareth will get his chance to confront the shadows of the past and right the wrongs that have haunted him for decades.
Get ready for another thrilling ride in the sixth installment of the Chronicles of an Urban Elemental series, Races Rekindled.

But whether Romance or not, she loves to twist Alpha heroes and kick-ass heroines into chaotic, hilarious, fast-paced, magical situations and make them really work for their happy endings.

This was a good book in the series. For me this series has been alternating between three and four (barely) stars. This is another four (barely) stars one.
The battle between Jules and her friends and that unhinged Poreskoro bitch is continuing towards its conclusion.
In between the various elementals are starting to reclaim their ancient lands and there is a lot of discovery, friendship making (especially for Briar, and, of course, a lot of magical fighting.
I quite like Jules as well as her friends but I think what I liked the most with this book is that the Poreskoro bitch finally got a good spanking, by none other than daddy.
I get the feeling that this might be the last book in the series even though it in no way put a definite end to Jules story. There were some revelations, quite predictable revelations I have to say, which in my mind could very well make for some interesting material for future books.
Belonging, as I do, to Auburns Facebook Fan chat, i’ve noted some fans who have commented that they simply hadn’t “connected“ with the Gagne’s, as well as they had to Cumhaills. To me this makes sense - after all, six books into the series Fiona was only just getting her feet on the ground, she’d only just faced off with Discord and hadn’t even met Dionysius yet, Dart was a baby, Merlin was only Pandora and Sloan’s parents were still married.
Of COURSE we’re not going to be connected to this family in the same way, as one which we have gotten to know over a much greater period of time.
Regardless, all of that being said, this book turns all of that around. Much like the sixth book in Fiona’s series, this book draws us so deeply into their family, that you cannot end it, but without loving them deeply.
There is so much elegance to Auburns prose in this book. She uses emotional responses like a palette of varied colors, painting an emotional, more than a visual, picture of each scene.
All of her scenes from Jules’ perspective have such tremendously false, but nonetheless very realistic, fears, that every scene is set with perfectly balanced tension, but no resolution. Jules winds us up, over and over, and them “whoompf!” A big cloud of dust and not much else. The worst part is we let her do this to us until Jules finally learns that her fears were pointless.
All in all, this is a rollicking run to an end with a nicely done HEA - and that HEA is brought about by what is certainly an incredibly unique and surprising source. There’s also a bit of a mystery going on and though most of us probably figured it out pretty quickly, the timing of the big reveal and the manner in which it was done caught me totally by surprise.
So many little moments moved me strongly and touched me closely. I’ll miss these guys, but the return of the veil which will come doesn’t preclude a continuation to these guys’ lives. Just sayin’
For their own protection and to help them learn about their elements, Jules and her Quint gather up the elementals adults and children and portal them to the Litaui palace in the fae realm earth kingdom. The plan is to move there and rebuild and restore the elemental kingdoms. But Jules and Gareth have unfinished business back to Toronto.
Footnote: 1) When Jules visits the fire kingdom and first meets the survivors, they are described as living torches without form. But she says their expressions are of anger and distrust. A few paragraphs later its hard for her read their expressions, then she sees them exchange wary glances. Should have written that they gave off ‘feelings’ of anger, etc.
Fave scenes: Briar negotiating with the basilisks, Dionysus fulfilling the elemental kids wish, Gareth & Jules’s visit with Rance about Sassobek and Jules’s final attack on Sassobek.
I was kind of surprised how this ended I get why poor Gareth, but she is so close to her siblings? Sorry don't want to give spoilers. I must admit with all the build up the take down was oh ok.plus the end was kind of fast we never saw the sister find out about her parents? I kind of want to see the brother fall in love, he is a powerful scary dude and not always kind but I think he has more heart then he lets on. The dad reminds me of Hades in some books you know he is bad but you can't help but like him because he has a code. Would of been funny to see what gifts he sends to his grandson (a hellhound?) I would of liked a 9 months later and see the brothers and dad's soft side could of had funny banter. I think there was a series before this one with Fiona and stone (the Toronto team) sadly I did not read it first.
All your magical series. I hope you will continue to write about Fiona and gang along with the montreal group Does life end once the main charcters have babies? All the books are fantastic you are an incredibly givfted story teller and writer I vote for more, please! We are better together thanks for your wonderful books
Jules and her family are moving to the Fae realm to keep the new elementals safe from Gareth's sister, but things don't go quite as planned. Gareth's sister has joined up with a necromancer and is draining Fae for more power. Now they need to figure out what her plans are and how to stop her. There is lots of action and humor in these books and family sticking together. All the series are great and I am looking forward to the next and can't wait for more from the familiar characters.
I can’t believe this is the sixth book, they go too fast. Loved the action and adventure Jules brought, I was on the edge of my seat cheering her on. And Garath defends her from his maniac sister, Love him. I can’t recommend this book, series, universe enough. Read these they really are awesome.
Auburn and Michael have done it again with yet another AMAZEBALLS read and enjoyable twists and plots! I highly recommend the whole series line as well as Chronicles of an Urban Druid and Case Files as well. All of these books are such gems to read its worth adding them all to your treasure chest of a library! Looking forward to more guys!
Congratulations to Auburn Tempest and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and e,xciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories.
I've loved every one of the books by these two authors. They are fun, adventurous, magic-filled romps with a wonderful cast of loving family and friends. These folks are completely inclusive with their arms always open in welcome to the next lonely soul they encounter. Lots of chuckles and feel goods!
The characters were well fleshed out, the plots were fascinating, and I enjoyed each and every book in this series. Even more fascinating than the books themselves is the kind of creative mind it takes to develop them.
Great book, amazing series, and an amazing world. I greatly look forward to the new book that will kickoff a new series for this world next March. Amazing job, well done as always.
Auburn Tempest is one of my favourite authors! I love the stories she writes, the characters she creates, the humour found in every book and most especially the strong found family vibes. This may be the end of this series but I've ordered the first in her next. She is an autobuy for me!
I so love this series! Such an excellent look at harmony beyond all logic and what a powerful magic kindness and consideration backed by unconditional love is.
I just finished book 6, and the only negative things I have is the book ended!! I really love these series, I love the characters, the plots, the writing, everything! Start reading, you’ll enjoy it!
Wonderful way to round up the bad guys Wonderful way to have paths forward for the good guys I am going to miss all these characters! Have to find a new set of stories! Thank you
I hesitated to write this because there are so many aspects of the book that I enjoyed. Most importantly, when I had finished, it made me feel hopeful and happy.
I’m so sorry to see the end of another great series. I just just love a book where it seems like there’s no way out for the heroes, and then someone has an idea and it all works out. Great writing!👍👍👍💜
I’m so jazzed and thrilled with this ending. I truly loved getting to know Jules and her family. They were amazing characters and so well written. I’m also crying a little bit because it’s finished.
Best book of the series! I love how the stories wrapped up. When I started this series, I was t sure I’d finish it. In fact I paused for a while, but have enjoyed the last 3 books.
I actually lost a lot of the plot and characters due to the length of time between the books. Nevertheless I gave it 5 stars because it was a good series.
Always sad to end a series, but I love a happy ending! I also just need to say that I totally called it on the pregnancy thing. Good book overall, 8/10
