So you’ve found yourself here – you’ve been thrown out of the nest of grad school and it’s time to implement the loads of knowledge you’ve accumulated over the last however many years. While grad school can do a great job at teaching us theory, knowledge, and all things psychology, one could argue that it actually sucks at teaching folks how to be a therapist.
Enter this book. After years of supporting students and new therapists, I’ve developed a strong passion for helping new practitioners understand and implement the practical stuff associated with being a therapist – the stuff that we don’t know when we first start our career. If you’re looking for someone to tell you what you need to know and how to implement it, without the fluff, you’re in the right place.
By the end of this book, you’ll walk away with loads of practical pieces of knowledge that will save you time, money, and effort and ultimately, take you from a newbie therapist to a confident, capable therapist.
I loved how short and simple this book was. It had some good tips and information for new therapists (specifically for private practice). It’s an easy yet helpful read!
