Paige Travis Wilder represents everything I’ve spent my life running from—generational wealth and the power that comes with it at the top of the list. But as he continues to pursue me, I begin to realize that maybe there’s more to him than meets the eye. It doesn’t help that he’s gorgeous in a California sunshine sort of way, or that he’s so charming I find myself falling for him even as I try so hard not to. But when my past catches up with me and he becomes the port in the storm of my life, it’s impossible not to throw caution to the wind and dive right in.
Travis Paige Matthews stole my heart the moment she kicked my ass in a silly baby shower game, and I’ve been falling in love with her ever since. The more time I spend with her, the more I realize a lifetime without her wouldn’t be worth living. I’m all in… but I’m not the one who needs convincing. The pull between us is undeniable, but the only thing Paige does better than running her publishing house is running from her feelings. So when it turns out I’m not the only man she’s running from, I refuse to let her face her nightmares alone. She may not think she needs a knight in shining armor, but she has one just the same.
BEYOND QUESTION is the first of a two-part duet, a spin-off from the Intern's Submission duet. It is now listed as Book 3 in that series, for ease of listing the books, but these are two separate duets. Content Warning: Mention of past trauma (not on the page), elements of suspense, cliffhanger Tropes: Cinnamon roll MMC, slow burn, he falls first, midlife romance, suspense
Steamy Romance Author Love, Lust, and a little Chaos
Happily ever after... with a little bit of chaos and a lot of heat between the sheets!
Jessalyn Jameson writes sexy, troubled guys and the strong women who love them. The road to happily ever after may not be easy, but it is always worth the wild ride.
When she’s not writing, you can usually find her with a drink in hand and a far-off look in her eyes, always dreaming up her next chaotic couple. Jessalyn resides in Sunny Southern California with her husband, their teen daughter, and a sweet -but-wild rescue dog.
Where do I even start? Beyond Question has officially become one of my favorite reads of the year. This book is unlike anything that author Jessalyn Jameson has written and it was so well done that you would think that this was always her lane.
The book starts out in your typical romance vibe, the flirtatious couple, the slow burn that (trust me) only Jessalyn can write so perfectly that I don’t actually hate it, but slowly things began to shift and you start to learn that there is more to our main character Paige than we know.
Paige has had a long mysterious life that you slowly start to unravel, all while falling so in love with Travis Wilder, the book boyfriend that has the tightest hold on my heart. Travis is possessive and funny and a “I’ll burn the world for you” in the most golden retriever way that had me absolutely melting. And his attention to every detail about Paige?? AWH! It is an emotional, laugh filled journey that had me questioning everything and everyone.
This book really shows off Jessalyn’s creative side, and pushes the boundaries of your typical romance. It is a quick easy read as always, and it was so incredible to see bits and pieces of my favorites Cabot and Paige. And in true Jessalyn style, add a little spice!
If you haven’t checked out Jessalyn Jameson, you are seriously missing out! She is crazy talented, creates the best characters, and never disappoints.
Beyond Question, the 3rd book in the series, features side characters from the previous books, but it's not necessary to have read those to enjoy Travis and Paige's story. It is, however, only part one of a duet and ends in a cliffhanger. Combining romance with witty dialogue and a line of suspense, it's a very entertaining read with wonderfully warm characters and both hilariously funny as well as emotionally intense moments. The ending doesn't come as a surprise, but is nevertheless very abrupt and I hope we don't have to wait too long for the continuation! I was lucky to have received an advanced copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
I have always adored Miss Jameson’s words, and this book is no exception, but OMG I need more, like, YESTERDAY! Such a delicious tease, though. I cannot wait to see how the rest of this story unfolds.
