Maybe crash landing on an alien planet isn't so bad...
After a piloting blunder strands Captain Levi and his crew on a bizarre floral planet, their peace mission becomes more of a 'get home ASAP' mission. But they're not alone. They’re greeted by big, hunky aliens who are as strange and beautiful as the flowers.
When the aliens welcome them with open arms—and tentacles—Levi is wary. No strangers are that nice. Especially not seven-foot-tall teal dudes with more "feelers" than you can shake a stick at. But Levi's suspicion fades when the smoldering alien Zat'tor takes an unusual interest in him. He never got this much attention back on his own planet, and no human man ever made his heart flutter the way Zat'tor does...
Amid their budding relationship, Levi discovers the shock of his life. Can he ever return to Earth? But more importantly, does he even want to?
Aliens Abducted My Heart is a sweet, spicy romp in an alien world. It features an unexpected pregnancy between a cis man and an alien. Fluff, high-heat scenes, and HEA included!
Hawke is a M/M author who loves the world of MPREG and shifters. In his spare time he enjoys hiking with his dog, hanging out with his boyfriend, and playing video games.
My life felt like it could not begin until I met you.
AAAAAAAAAA VERY ADORABLE VERY GIDDY!!! I COULDNT STOP SMILING AAAAAhh It’s mostly because of their interaction, it was bizarre but cute, strange but also innocent at the same time. I kept smiling and sighing reading this. New series to love from Hawke Oakley? Not surprise at all. This was all kinda of amazing, I couldn’t put this down and couldn’t stop giggling near the end. This book feels like a hug on a happy day!!! I am so hopeful for this series ❤️❤️❤️ and plss MAKE MORE BEAUTIFUL COVERS LIKE THIS!!
p.s. i’m still confuse how they kiss bcs look at that BIG KOMODO MOUTH BHAHAH
This was SO FUN. I’ve been needing my alien fix, so I can thank Martina for telling me to read this. It was a super sweet and funny short read, and I can’t wait for the next books in the series!!
Levi is our main character in this. He is the captain of his spaceship, and he is tasked with flying his 2 crew members and himself to a planet to work on a peace treaty. On the way there, he noticed a red flashing light that he had no idea what it meant. He didn’t want to look stupid in front of his crew, so he silently tried to figure out what was going wrong. Spoiler alert: he couldn’t figure it out, and the ship went down. They crash landed on an unknown planet called Eukaria. That’s where he meets an alien named Zat’tor. As they are talking to Zat’tor (they have translators in their ears that are working) and trying to figure out where they are and stuff, Zat’tor keeps looking at Levi, and is like he is so pretty <3 It was so cute. Zat’tor couldn’t figure out why he had such a pull to Levi, and Levi just thought the alien was hot stuff. Zat’tor then takes Levi and his crew to meet this rest of his alien friends and learn more about the planet. They also needed to apologize for making a mess of their field where they crash landed.
The alien sex gets going pretty fast and we are so thankful for that. And it was GUD alien sex. Zat’tor’s alien thingy is gigantic. I don’t know how Levi handled it, but go him. We also got some belly bulging scenes.
This alien romance is especially fun because Levi got some body modifications after the alien romp in the sheets that results in some mpreg (not spoiler since it’s in the blurb). But I was like cha ching when I read that. I love when that happens.
Overall, I really enjoyed this alien romance. The alien culture was different than anything I’ve read. Different but so so fun. If you need your alien fix like I did, read this!!
Books like this are why I’m doing an ugly cover challenge because I’m just so sick of being tricked by the pretty ones. This cover is so cute and I had seen some highlights that made me think I’d love this but I was so bored and kinda grossed out. Levi and his space crew are supposed to go to some planet to sign a peace treaty but it’s Levi’s first mission and the spaceship crashes. They crash on a planet that wasn’t even on the map and everyone just goes with it. If I crash landed on a planet no one heard of and 7 foot tall greenish beings with tentacles and large feelers approached me I can’t say I’d be like “oooo hello sexy alien. who cares about going home” but that’s exactly what happens. I wasn’t expecting real life because it’s sci-fi but due to the fact everyone is fine with everything happening I found this book so ungodly boring. It’s only 174 pages FFS but it felt like 400.
Apparently this tentacled alien is Levi’s fated mate so they have some kind of party with fruit that makes everyone horny and they fuck all night while Zat’tor fills Levi with so much of his pollen cum that it swells his entire belly. The visual of that is just ew. It also causes him to get pregnant. For a human who didn’t think that was possible he was strangely okay with it 🙄
The worst part of this book for me was the sex scenes. If I ever have to see the word “maw” used in one again I might die.
”His hands clenched my cheeks as he bucked his hips forward, thrusting his small cock deeper into my maw.” […] “I leaned forward so my maw hovered above his flat mouth. Levi’s eyes went half-lidded as he parted his lips and pressed them to the tip of my snout.”
I dont know what is worse, maw or snout tbh. And the size of his cock OMG. It was stated because they are fated mates his body would be able to take it but yuck. For reference here, Levi is a 6ft man so the fact Zat’tor’s cock is that big was just too much and it came out of some kind of hidden pocket. *shudder*
”Finally, the entire length of my cock was free. It spanned from Levi’s hip to his collarbone, and it throbbed with arousal.”
And then there’s this delightful visual
”I held him steady as my cock penetrated his orifice, stretching him to his biological limits. When I glanced down at Levi’s lower stomach, I saw the shape of my erection inside him. It made his belly bulge, and he wasn’t even full of pollen yet.”
I could have probably overlooked all of this and chalked it up to weird monster junk but I just couldn’t get into the story. A huge reason for that were the spelling and grammar errors. During the first half of the book, all these aliens “thrilled” at each other constantly to communicate but it was meant to be “trilled”. It’s like someone only proofread the back half of this book because the front half had a ton of misused words and then the back half corrected them all. It was just bizarre and took me even more out of the story.
This book made me create a “tricked by a pretty cover” shelf.
I'm rating this book with 3⭐ because it lacked something, at least for my taste.
🟡 Crash landing on another planet 🔵 Mpreg 🟢 Size difference 🟣 Light and sweet
This was a very, very quick read, the story is fluffy and almost too ideal, I guess this author is a complete romantic, because everyone's sappy here and the crashing on an alien planet is as perfect as it can be.
Levi is a captain of a 3 person team leading an expedition to another planet to make first contact and to explore the Universe. The spaceship crash lands on a planet Eukaria, who's not on their radar at all, where a race of Maeleons live. They're 7ft tall and muscular with lizard features, feeding themselves with photosynthesis and fruit, they're vegetarians and have no determined gender. They do have a dick, though. There's a big, fat alien dick involved, no prep needed, don't worry.
Zat'tor is one of the Maeleons who finds these guys and takes them into the village. Zat'tor somehow reacts to Levi and wants him for himself. In time, Levi just kind of relaxes into it, he's game, he's in, he doesn't want to go back to Earth as soon as he sees the hot lizard man. Then he has sex with him. And then they have a baby. The end.
The main love story progresses so quickly that you almost don't have time to internalize it. All of a sudden the MMCs love each other and have everything figured out.
I liked the original idea behind the story, liked the aliens and how they interacted with their planet - and each other - but the story stayed superficial. It doesn't mean it wasn't good, but it offers only a quick alien sex, an insta-relationship and that's it. For the ideas implemented here I'd assume the story would be developed a bit more, but maybe that's still to come.
I think I need to give this author another try, I'm picking The Purchased Alpha next.
I was looking forward to this book just from seeing the cover, and it was adorable. Levi was a himbo ship captain who was quick to accept the companionship of his alien hunk. Mr womb awakener was sweet and tender with Levi, as well as open about sexy times. The instalovey vibes worked well in this novella. I liked the utopian planet and the unique alien design - a plant-lizard-tentacle monster.
Spice: 4.5/5 - 3 scenes
Triggers: crash (off page), brief threat of execution
if you can trust me on one thing, it’s that i will always read the questionable shit you don’t necessarily will want to pick up but you’re curious about.
anyway, unironically loved the shit out of this, will be reading the second one rn
1997 had this movie titled, "Habitat". The ozone thined so much. That one couldn't spend more than 10 minutes in the sun's rays. That's what this book reminds me of that scientist wanting his son to survive.
SECOND READING
The voice actor used just about the same voices. I had in mind for the characters. It was fun. Now on to the next selection
So much fluff and sweetness. This book is a whole vibe, if it works for you it will be fun, or it will give you a toothache. It has “Changed” by Robin Moray vibes, but about 1000% sweeter and fluffier. Sometimes you’re just in the mood for that kind of book though, and this really worked for me.
Tags: Alien non humanoid MC (he looks like a lizard, has tentacles, and scales), space ship pilot who is bad at his job, mpreg
I honestly don’t know what else to say about this book. I definitely liked it but it was also quite weird in a fun way. As are alien romances if we’re being honest.
I am really looking forward to the other books in this series. I’m sure they will be as fun as this one was.
"What do you call a male alien who's interested in another male?" A gaylien" 🤭 LOOK AT THAT COVER! Za'tor is so beautiful 😍 it's just like every MPreg. smutty alien romance. Still gobbled it up with a cheesey smile on my face.
"Nobody had ever complimented my semen production, nor had they sounded so honestly happy about it. Nobody except him."
I don't know everything just felt so oversimplified from the way society works just to for the sake of monster sex. I don't know why I was expecting a certain depth but there's so much that's lacking from this story Especially with Levi that's going through so much with don't know how much this alien society works we don't know their tools and them as community.
This might be a great book for someone that's never read an alien mm romance.
If you're REALLY interested in weird alien smut, you should read/listen to Zercy by Kora Knight (the prequel is a must), Dark Edge of Honor by Aleksandr Voinov, the Pykh series, the Dark Space series by Lisa Henry, Villains in Space series by C Rochelle, Beauty and His Beast by Bey Deckard, the Claiming series/ Earth Father's series by Lyn Gala. These are the greats!!
After you've listened to all of those, you will find this book a bit disappointing. It was fun, but very silly compared to all the above. The world building, language barrier and cultural differences are all just a means to an end: weird alien sex. All that would be good and well, but the anatomy is underutilized and frankly, a little boring at the end of the day.
As I said, this is a cute, fluffy fun read without any real cultural impact or shocking sex scenes. If there's anything in my list that you haven't read yet, you gotta start there!
I could use more gayliens (gay aliens) and this book promised to deliver. Zat'tor's plantish dragony alien species has no basis of gender and I liked that they felt genuinely very alien in their culture and social norms as well.
It's hella instalove as the first 75% of the book happens over the course of 2 days - not even, probably like a day and a half - and they're abandoning their prior life and declaring undying love, etc. etc. etc.
But, you know, it was mostly cute and I'm interested in how things play out with Paz and Jaeyoung.
To be fair, the instalove wasn't even the most unrealistic thing here. I was prepared for the mpreg. I was not prepared for the 2 week gestation period. Two weeks. TWO weeks. Talk about pushing the boundaries of physics and biology!! I cannot even begin to fathom the sheer amount of energy needed for that.
Levi also seems to change? or maybe he's more comfortable being his true self on Eukaria. At the beginning, he's very stoic, serious, and mission-driven but that all goes out the window immediately and the Levi of the rest of the book is a hot mess and a tad immature.
There were some confusing bits, like the author forgot they already wrote something that contradicts the new information. The most confusing and egregious bit is Zat'tor saying he'd heard of spaceships before but then later saying no other species has landed on their planet before. They're not surprised by the existence of other sentient life in the least. Their language is easily translated by the human translators, suggesting the language had been previously encountered somehow. So how is it that they've also had no contact with other species before?
It’s got all the classic tropes and it was enjoyable enough, but I think I’m at the stage where I need something more from my sci-fi romances.
The MCs were fine together but they didn’t have enough chemistry for my liking. Also, how was the team so quick to make a final decision ??
anyway
To sum up:
Likes - Classic tropes (language barrier, size difference, forced proximity etc) - Hot alien sex (no tentacle action though which is a damn shame) - Quick and easy read - A gorgeous cover!
Dislikes - Not enough chemistry between MCs - Rushed ending - Uninspired prose
Expect - Instalove - Mpreg - Size difference - Forced proximity - Language barrier - Fated mates - Found family
Non-con. I don't care how much flirting happens beforehand, when you drug someone it isn't consent. The aliens had a feast where the main fruit was a potent aphrodisiac, but didn't explain that to the humans. Nope. A drugged yes isn't a yes, it's a coerced one, non-con, because impaired people can't make their own decisions. This isn't a romance. It turned predatory fast with that one scene.
Yeah idk about this author… that mpreg birth scene was disgusting. And I say this as a medical student. Something about a CIS MAN giving birth is just not it.
Many will love this fluffy cuddly alien story. ———-sorry——spoilers——-spoilers———-possible spoilers———-spoilers………..sorry possibly spoilers ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This story was kind of cute but just not for me. It was very fluffy with sweet happy aliens skipping around their pretty happy planet having happy sex after consuming juicy delicious happy perfect aphrodisiac fruit. Then having happy sonic speed of light 2 week pregnancies and easy slip n slide births and happy adorable alien babies who eat sunshine as nourishment. Also tentacles, “feelers”, Tails, scales, 2 ft? Penises, hulk strength, telepathy, and sentient flowers. I don’t mean to be harsh but I felt the only thing left out was the kitchen sink. Yes, there were elements of cute and sweetness but it all came together feeling cheesy and sophomoric. I am disappointed, I have read other books by Hawke Oakley and enjoyed them. This was a miss for me.
I can already hear Fox News complaining that this is the future liberals want: communist lizard tree-huggers eliminating gender and impregnating men. Amazing. Already love this world and can’t wait to read future books.
I wasn’t an Argonian or Dragonborn lover before this (from Skyrim and D&D) but this book has changed my mind. Trying out that build next playthrough.
This was adorable and a lot of fun. I couldn't stop smiling the whole way through.
And I like that even though Levi is kinda shity at his job as a captain, he and his crew are actually good at the whole peace mission thing. Even before Levi fucks an alien.
