Juniper Ridge #5

Just for Show

Only in my world does the family screwup have a police record and three Oscars.
And only a screwup like me would be nuts enough to fall for a cop.
Not just any cop.
Amy’s the police chief in this small town my family built from scratch.
We’ve got a reality TV spotlight scanning our every move.
No way will the perfect girl next door take a chance on me.
I’ve heard she’s got a brother behind bars, so guys with rap sheets are off limits.
The thing is, I’ve changed.
My family might hover like I’m ready to flop face-first off the wagon.
But I’m doing great, and I plan to prove it to Amy.
We laugh like crazy together, but there’s more between us.
I’m sure of it.
Between bedazzled thongs, a hilariously raunchy text mishap, and sexy handcuff games,
I’m determined to break down her walls.
Except the harder I try to show I’m a new man,
the more I know Chief Lovelin locked up my heart and chucked the key.
One-click this lighthearted, opposites attract rom-com about a reformed bad boy black sheep who falls for the cop intent on keeping his family’s small town safe…and her heart locked away from him.

✨ What This Book Gave Me

• small-town charm with quirky side characters
• fake dating + forced proximity goodness
• cozy rom-com energy with genuine emotional moments

⸻

🖤 What I Loved

• The chemistry between the main characters was instant and fun
• The farm setting added such cozy, wholesome vibes (yes, even the cow 🐄😂)
• The dual narration brought the story to life — perfect for audio

⸻

⚠️ What Didn’t Fully Work for Me

• A few moments felt slightly predictable (but honestly, in a rom-com that’s part of the comfort)

⸻

🧠 Final Thoughts

This was one of those audiobooks I kept finding excuses to listen to — cooking, cleaning, walking… everything became an excuse for “just one more chapter.” It was light, funny, heartfelt, and completely bingeable. The romance was sweet without being over-the-top, and I loved how the emotional depth crept in when I least expected it. Pure comfort listen with laugh-out-loud moments sprinkled throughout.

Full disclosure I have a character named after me in this book so I am probably a little biased. Also, I have not read the other books in this series but they can all be stand alones. Tawna knows how to write romcoms with heart. We have the chief of police of a small community involved in a reality show falling for an ex-actor. Cooper was the child Hollywood star that has been through all the drinking and drugs. He has had a thing for the police chief but could things work out between them? Adding to the humor is Cooper's family getting involved in their relationship and several humiliating texts. Police Chief Amy Lovelin is up for an award but will dating the bad boy of Hollywood hurt her reputation? Both are flawed characters and I love books like that where they both get redemption at the end.

"Meet Beth Graham. The mayor of Cherry Blossom Lake."

"When someone decides to shoulder the blame for a loved-one's suffering, its tough to change their mind."

I love this series, and was excited to read Cooper’s story. It had to be very hard being the children of snooty Hollywood parents. Cooper had a hard time in Hollywood even though he won some Oscars. I am glad the last time he was in rehab that he changed his life. He had such loving siblings to help him. He had always had a thing for Amy the police chief in their newly established town. He never thought he was good enough for her. I was surprised but glad that Amy took the first step and kissed Cooper. Amy had her demons she had to contend with from her past where it concerned her brother Luke. I was glad to see that Cooper and Amy were there to teach each other some hard lessons. It was hard watching Amy go for her dream and what some of the committee said to her. This is a heartwarming love story that I strongly encourage you to read. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

I'd rate this 4.5 stars. Just for Show is another feel-good winner by Tawna Fenske. Set in her Juniper Ridge world where the characters are members of a reality TV social experiment of sorts, Amy is the small population's resident police chief. Enamoured with her is Hollywood's darling who's given them more scandals than you can poke a stick at: Cooper Judson. The former actor is trying to keep his demons under control and find peace and obscurity at Juniper Ridge surrounded by his siblings who are the co-creators of the Juniper Ridge television reality show and the feature characters of the other books in this series. If you haven't read any other books set in this world, you can definitely pick this one up as a standalone and while I tend to say this every time this author releases a book, this story is probably my favourite so far, especially Cooper. He's head over heels for Amy but doesn't think he's good enough for her so while he lights up whenever she's around her, Cooper doesn't want to risk their friendship. With her own secrets, Amy has enough to deal with, carrying guilt and blame for herself like a well-used accessory. When an opportunity swings her way to achieve a lifelong dream, her relationship with Cooper is put to the test.

I loved both Cooper and Amy. He was sweet and kind, pining for Amy but having just enough self-loathing to deter him from taking a chance. The author wrote about his ADHD in a thoughtful manner and it translated well across the story. Amy was ambitious and a go-getter and it was great to see the female lead be the one that took a few chances for once. As per this author's speciality, there's a great dose of humour throughout the story, some double-entendres and a smattering of second-hand embarrassment that made me want to poke my eyes out a couple of times (I'm that reader that feels it like I'm living it lol). The writing's solid as you'd expect and while I didn't think Amy's secret and guilt were the big deal her character had made out, the conclusion was really satisfying.

For fans of the Assassins in Love series by this author, there's a teeny cameo by Sebastian (yas!) which was much appreciated as well as some of the usual suspects from Juniper Ridge. Fans of this series will finally get to meet the Judson's parents, too, which made me just as stabby as I'd expected. There's a bit of cheese thrown in (the good kind, not the 'I want to scratch out my eyes' kind - again, with the eye damage lol). It was a sweet story that started with love at first sight and ended with happily ever after and as per usual, Tawna Fenske has ticked all the boxes for me and left me with a smile on my face (Cooper had a bit to do with that, too).

I’ve definitely been waiting for Amy and Cooper’s story, and this was beyond what I was expecting. I’ve always loved Amy and Cooper and for who he is and his past, he refers to himself as a gofer, too funny. The animals, the banter (foreplay in my opinion) between Amy and Cooper is off the charts, and of course we get to see our favorite Judson family and friends and of course I always love when Mari is around, the cameo phone call from another series was a perfect addition to the story. This is a wonderful story with the Judson parents who are a piece of work (and illegally spy on their kids), we have Amy who has guilt with things from her past and a brother who is trying to get through what he’s dealing with and Amy’s mother who is a little overzealous and just says it like it is and in the middle of the crazy is Amy and Cooper who maybe/kind of are in a relationship. I was laughing so hard when Amy started sexting Cooper and of course family being family got involved, made my day. Of course, when things are going too well, you know something will most likely come up and decisions will have to be made and unfortunately this happened to Amy and Cooper. I liked how Cooper got his butt kicked (in a good way) from his male friends to fix what he messed up and his grand gesture at the end of the book was so perfect especially since it involved Amy getting one of her life goals. Loved it! One of my favorite lines from this story is, ‘one of the bravest things you can do is admit when you want something.’ I noticed that we are definitely seeing two more books heading our way in this series however I’m wondering if Luke might get a story….

Just for Show is the 4th book in the Juniper Ridge Series featuring the six Judson siblings. Yes, you can read it as a standalone, but one of the best parts of this series is the way Tawna weaves the characters from one book to the next. It’s also fun to see “cameos” of characters that are in other series. This one features Judson brother Cooper, a former Hollywood bad boy (and Oscar winner!), and Police Chief Amy Lovelin. These two, although opposites in many ways, have had sparks flying since Book One, so it’s so much fun to see those sparks finally ignite!

A good part of Cooper’s story line includes how he dealt with rehab, redemption, uber-stage parents, and going from self-described “family screw-up” to learning how to forgive and love himself, while staying “clean and sober” for the past several years.

Chief Amy has her demons too, including blaming herself for her brother’s incarceration. She is a firm believer in redemption, but hasn’t forgiven herself… yet.

Make no mistake. There’s lots of humor and great sex, along with tears, relationships (including those among the siblings), friendships, and, since it’s Tawna, adorable animals. Tawna writes strong women characters, and I love that, along with her spot-on, sparkling, and very realistic dialogue. All the characters, male and female, are multi-dimensional and just a delight with their own unique personalities (and quirks, too). In this book, she also sensitively tackles drug and alcohol abuse, ADHD, family dynamics, and how two people who think they may not be deserving or “good enough” turn out to be the perfect match.

All the swoony and healing loving goodness

This is a sweet, redemptive, sexy opposites attract story that will give you all the feels - laughing, crying, gasping, and swooning. I smiled the whole time I was reading this story. It was like wrapping myself in a cuddly blanket while sitting in the sun. I could not put it down. Cooper and his five famous siblings have started a reality type show building a community, Juniper Ridge, at a former cult compound where the community members live and work while being filmed. Amy is the chief of police for Juniper Ridge. Cooper is a three team Oscar winner but he’s also has a record and is recovering alcoholic and drug addict. The cop and the criminal are not the most likely pair. They’ve known each other for two years but have only been friends, despite their obvious attraction. The journey to their HEA is beautiful and made me so happy. They both deserve such good things. This quote from the book sums up the heartwarming story arc: “Good people just have to show up for the ones they love and not sacrifice themselves on the altar of pleasing others. But if making someone happy makes you happy, that’s magic. That’s love.” This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, strong friendships, laughs, messy families, sexy times, real life issues, redemption, character growth, imperfect characters, and so much love. I am loving this series and am excited to read about the next Judson sibling.

I really loved Cooper and Amy’s story. Two people who have obstacles in their lives that constantly remind them of their flaws. This was a story of friendship, relationships, love and personal growth with a lot humor too.
Cooper is the youngest of the Judson siblings and Academy Award Winning Hollywood Actor is currently residing in Juniper Ridge. Hollywood’s Bad Boy is a recovering addict and is laying low for now. He’s also the “errand boy” in the Juniper Ridge community, it even says “gofer” on his business cards.
Cooper gets a visit from the community’s Sheriff, Amy Lovelin since he called about a cow that was in his front yard. She’s a bit star struck but soon finds out he’s normal with some quirks and a little awkward at times. This begins their friendship that eventually turns into a relationship with a lot of sexy times too.
Amy is strong and focused as a sheriff but a little unsure of herself and awkward too. She’s also dealing with her brother being in jail and holds on to guilt for the way things were handled. Amy decides to take some big steps in her life by getting involved with Cooper and decides to adopt some kittens too. But life decides to throw in some comedic curve balls too.
We also get meet new characters who are a part of the reality series Fresh Start in Juniper Ridge and all the siblings make a few appearances in the book too. Another great story by Tawna. A very enjoyable read! This book was given as an ARC for an honest review.

This book was a very enjoyable read. It combines a sizzling romance, troubling pasts, and silly shenanigans - sure to keep you entertained!

Amy is the chief of police of Juniper Ridge, the small community/set of a reality show. She has been crushing on Cooper since his movie star days, but is determined to keep things professional, since his family is technically her boss.

Meanwhile, Cooper finds it ever more difficult to remain professional when dealing with Amy, as his crush on her seems to be growing by the day. After she helps him corral a steer that keeps breaking out, they run in to each other more often, with Cooper helping her out with a home improvement project and adopting kittens. Cue the swoons!

Having grown up in Hollywood as a child star to movie star parents, Cooper has had some less than healthy coping mechanisms. While he has been clean and sober for several years now, his family still worries, which grows tiresome at times, especially in relation to his meddling parents. It also makes him determined not to ruin anyone's lives.

Amy has some heartbreaking secrets in her past as well. Actually, the secret is more about the guilt she feels for her brother's incarceration. This guilt has fueled her in her career choices.

These issues from their past prove to affect their budding relationship as well. Cooper and Amy must learn how to navigate these roadblocks, or their love might not prove enough.

“Just for Show” is another rom-com winner in the “Juniper Ridge” series. The story is fun, witty, and heartfelt. Cooper and Amy stole my heart and I loved their story.

Cooper is the self-proclaimed screw up of the family. Thrown into the spotlight as an actor, he felt all the pressures. Now clean and sober, he’s moved to Juniper Ridge rebuilding his life. One of the community members has caught his eye. The police chief, Amy Lovelin. Amy is a follow the rules and help everyone she can kind of woman. But Cooper has caught her eye as well and the with small town vibe of Juniper Ridge, their attraction to each other can’t be ignored.

I absolutely loved Cooper from the previous books. A little broken but was doing everything he could to make amends and fix his wrongs. His vulnerability was so endearing and one of my favorite things about him. Amy was the perfect match for Cooper. She’s down to earth and wants to help everyone. Her relationship with her brother, Luke, is so sweet. I was cracking up so much during this story, especially with the text exchanges when Cooper’s sisters stole his phone. We get scenes with the siblings and their significant others and it was great catching up with them. The ending left me with a big smile on my face and I can’t wait for.

We are back in Juniper Ridge, a reality show/community experiment built on a former cult compound.

Cooper Judson is as well known for his off screen partying as his acting. And because of that history, he has the ever watchful eyes of his siblings, who seem to just be waiting for him to relapse. And because of their vigilance, he doesn't expect the chief of police to so much as cast him a second glance. But he can't deny that he is drawn to Amy.

Chief Lovelin is completely by the book when it comes to her job, but she understands better than anyone realizes that youthful mistakes can have a huge impact on a persons life, and is far more understanding than Cooper could have ever dreamed.

I was so excited to get Cooper and Amy's story. The chemistry between these two is absolutely combustible, but the tenderness is what makes Just for Show. The sweet side of Cooper that Amy catches glimpses of, the things he does for the community, how amazing and patient he is with fans, that is what makes him irresistible to her. And Amy's love for her family. Her way of making Cooper realize he deserves happiness as much as his siblings. That is what made this book a five star read for me.

“Coop’s eyes hold mine, and my heart hops up on the bars of my ribs to twirl like a stripper on a pole.”

Coooooper Judson! Each Juniper Ridge book has been wonderful in unique ways, and Just For Show is my new favorite. Just For Show is a graceful dance with a beautiful melody; a beautifully heartbreaking and swoon-worthy love story. This enchantingly written romcom is about second chances, finding self-worth, and the beauty of family & unconditional love. Tawna Fenske writes complex characters with real issues, fighting to find their happiness. The dynamics of the Judson siblings are always a treat, and they are in exceptional form in Just For Show. Amy Lovelin is the police chief of the small-town/reality tv set/social experiment of Juniper Ridge. She is a staunch champion of justice and community betterment, both locally and globally. Cooper is the reformed family screw-up and former Hollywood bad boy who lives under the shadows of his past mistakes. Cooper’s sweet awkwardness is hilarious and charming. He is bound to make you smile and melt your heart! Tawna writes badass & beguiling heroines, and Amy is one of the best!

“...don’t let regret and guilt from your past behavior burden you in the present.”

Amy and Coop have danced around each other for years. Their palpable connection will steal your heart and stick with you. Even when this book made me cry, my heart was still full to bursting for Cooper and Amy. Family shenanigans, self-acceptance, and well-rounded, relatable characters are at the heart of what makes Just For Show Tawna Fenske’s best book yet!

Don't kiss him
Don't kiss him.
Don't kiss him.
But Coop's eyes hold mine, and my heart hops up on the bars of my ribs to twirl like a stripper on a pole.

Amy Lovelin really loves her job at Juniper Ridge. Living in this self contained town has been a whole new experience. Definitely not where she thought she would be when she became a police officer. She also didn't think she would have so much interaction with THE famous Cooper Judson. Not just interaction, but friendship. And possibly more.

Cooper is used to being the family disaster. Though he has gotten his life on track, he can't help feel that he is always trying to prove himself. Meeting Amy, the chief of police for Juniper Ridge, has been eye opening. He likes everything about her. He's struggling to find reasons not to try to be more than friends.

Once Amy and Cooper decide to cross that friendship line, things seem awesome. Complications arise - of course, but they have such a spark. I love this couple!

I love the Juniper Ridge series! Cooper is probably my fav!

The one Judson who has always intrigued me most from this series is Cooper, and now his story is finally here. If you have already been reading the series, you’re familiar with some of the exchanges between Cooper and Amy. Those don’t even do justice to how things heat up between them once they finally give in to the chemistry between them. The author does such a wonderful job of portraying various aspects of addiction, and the fallout that occurs for both sides (the addict and those around them) with such an honest perspective it is deeply endearing. Both of the main characters have their demons and history, but their honest and frank discussions are endearing and realistic. While I’ve been anxious for this book with Cooper and Amy to arrive it surpassed my expectations. The entire story is well written, heartfelt, and relatable. Who could ask for more? Well, it is a book by Tawna Fenske so there is a good bit of anecdotes and humor mixed in with the seriousness too. And who can resist all of the cute animals too? This is another fun adventure at Juniper Ridge!

I’ve been waiting for Cooper and Amy’s story and it did not disappoint. While Cooper is convinced that he’s not good enough for Amy, because of his drug and alcohol issues in the past, Amy feels the same because of family issues. To me, they are the perfect couple because neither is judgmental at all…and they have way more in common than probably anyone, other than Fenske herself, would have guessed.
The funny bits…cows, kittens and an interesting and hilarious meet the parents mishaps…are intermingled with the seriousness of their lives. So I’m laughing and tearing up, sometimes in the same chapter!
I think Cooper touched me the most of all the siblings, and not because his character and I have anything in common. He just wormed his way into my heart from the start. Amy was much gentler, I guess the word might be, than how I saw her in the previous books. She is so less buttoned up than she seems and it was a joy to watch her and Cooper together.
Another hit from Tawna Fenske in my book!

Cooper is an actor who just wants to take time out and be a nobody. He does not like being recognized or people following him. He is proud of the fact that his business cards have gofer on them. Ever since he came to Juniper Ridge he has had an intense attraction to Amy but he doesn't feel like he is good enough for her because of his past.

Amy is a police officer who moved to the area and works for Cooper's family. Her brother is in jail and she feels guilty for him being there, she feels like she should have done more. The guy that he was with got a slap on the wrist while her brother got time. Cooper and her brother actually hit it off and become friends.

I really enjoyed this book, it is cute, heart warming and just makes you want to smile. I always love being able to see all of the siblings together. They are so entertaining and tight. I have been waiting for these two to get together for a few books now and Tawna did not disappoint. I loved it.

This is a very romantic story with good character development, some heat and a satisfying HEA. Cooper struggles with self-worth, his role in his family, ADHD and being a former addict. Although he’s a former movie star, he wishes he could be anonymous. Cooper is so sweet, broken, sexy and vulnerable that he might be my favorite male character of the year. Amy has some burdens too. Her younger brother was charged with a crime as a teenager and is paying his debt to society. Amy emotionally supports her brother and mother, manages a charity and is Juniper’s Police Chief. Despite her strength, she has her own baggage that keeps her from pursuing one or two of her own goals. Both characters are sympathetic and engaging as they fall in love and support each other’s growth. This book can be read as a standalone but having read the other Juniper Ridge stories will enhance the reader's enjoyment. I received an advance copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I first heard about Tawna Fenske in August of 2015 when her book "About That Fling" was featured as a "Kindle First." I have fallen in love with the way that she tells a story. Her characters are fun, and even ones you may not like at first tend to grow on you. Since then, I have read anything that I have found by Tawna.

Since reading “Show Time,” I couldn’t wait to finally read Cooper Judson’s story. While I love all of the characters in this series, he was the one that intrigued me the most. When I found out the release date of this, I could not contain my excitement.

I definitely could not put this book down. I rooted for him the whole book, and so many questions about his background were finally answered. I also loved how it introduced new characters that are going to be in their own spin-off series. Now I am not only anticipating the next book in this series….I’m also on the lookout for the new series!

It is always a treat to return to Juniper Ridge - and Amy and Coop did not disappoint! I've had a soft spot for the youngest Judson brother, and I love the story Tawna had in store for him and Amy. Hollywood's sort-of-fallen angel and the down-to-earth chief of police make an excellent team, even though they both do their darnedest to fight it at times.

While I sometimes felt like giving Coop a thwack upside the head, I absolutely loved to see Amy own her wants and go for them in true d*mn-the-torpedoes-style (with sometimes spectacular results, like one of my favorite scenes, aka "THE GROUP TEXT").

As pretty much every Tawna book I've read, this was an entertaining read, with plenty of smiles and swoons, occasional snort-laughs, and lots and lots of family shenanigans. Speaking of: I loved to get to know Amy's family and am very much looking forward to reading more about Luke.

Just for Show is a fantastic read. Cooper and Amy are amazing together. Amy is the chief of police who has a big heart and does everything she can when it comes to her job and her family. Cooper is that Judson's sibling who got himself into trouble and wants to step away from acting. I love the chemistry between Amy and Cooper. I love how Cooper tries so hard to transition into everyday life. The surprise pet in this one will just put smile on your face. This one is filled with plenty of giggle moments to go right along with those sexy, a little emotional and let's not forget awkward moments too. You are going to fall in love with Amy and Cooper as they navigate their attraction for each other. If you have not read any of the Juniper Ridge series yet you need to. This is such a fun read that I could not put down.

I’ve read a few of Tawna Fenski’s books and the more I read the more I love this author. She does a well written rom-com and with lots of words of wisdom. Cooper Judsen is a screw up, been arrested countless times and has three Oscars. He has come home to his family’s reality show in the old compound of Juniper Ridge. Amy Lovelin is the police chief his family has hired for the community and Cooper has his eyes and heart set on her. I read the first book in this series and thought it was a bit slow. But read an excerpt of this one in another one of her books and couldn’t pass up reading it. Now I want to read the other three in the series and can’t wait till she finishes the series. I love how authors introduce characters in previous books and then start a new book for them. And Tawna does that in all of the books I’ve read of hers. She just gets better and better.

Just what I needed...

When I picked this up, I had just finished a real downer of a book. So, I was looking for something upbeat, and this delivered, for the most part. I mean, with her brother being in prison, it isn't exactly a party. But, they handle it well. Amy and Cooper's story is a sweet, funny rush into love and learning to trust each other and themselves. Cooper has so much to overcome, but mostly, he has to overcome people's opinions. People who don't think he's overcome those problems, yet, and treat him as if he were fragile or a child. Amy didn't know him when he had all those problems, so she takes him at face value. They get a fresh start. They both have baggage, though. While they're trying hard to be happy, life seems to be trying to trip them up. How do they get their HEA? Recommended.

Just for Show is the 5th book in Fenske’s Juniper Ridge series. As I’ve yet to read any of the books, I can undoubtedly say that you can read this book as a standalone title without missing a beat. Cooper Judson, our hero, appeared in this author’s Assassins in Love series, and I absolutely had to know his story. It was well worth the wait.

Cooper and Amy’s friendship was fun and funny, and the banter and awkwardness sometimes made for some laugh-out-loud moments. It wasn’t without some deep emotions and emotional scenes, though. Their HEA is an all-around, feel-good story that had me laughing, crying a little, and swooning a lot…the perfect mix for a rom-com. Throw in some fabulous siblings (on both sides) and a bovine escape artist, and it made for a unique and fun read.

I loved both Cooper and Amy, two unique and lovable characters that deserved their sweet romance. I saw glimpses of this author’s genius in the wonderful writing style.

Why only 3 stars? First, the book was frustratingly short and seemed hurried, almost like a novella. It sorely lacked the richness that the unique setting of this series should provide.

Why in the world is the unique and fascinating contained society that Cooper’s family created so glossed over in this book and the previous book in this series? That is why I keep paying an outrageous price for short books that should be in Kindle Unlimited. But the books are written over such a gap in time that the author seems to have lost interest in the setting. What a shame and a waste.

Two cute folks dancing around each other and what it takes when it does happen, is hilarious. Parent are involved! Cooper is always the joker, the crowd pleaser, he's got awards to show it as well. Amy seems to be able to see past the visage and she gets him. Showing vulnerability, "one of the bravest things you can do is admit when you want something." Texting mistakes with family members, very hilarious when it's the Judson's. Sunbeams vs solar systems, no comparison. I loved Luke as well and then discussions about being a dvmbas$, very, very funny! A great new chapter in this hilarious series.

Book five in the Juniper Ridge series can be read as a standalone and ends in a HEA. It is written in first person with an alternating dual POV.
I confess that I have been waiting for Cooper’s love story. He was so broken at the beginning of the series. As I have gotten to know him through his siblings in the previous books, I have only loved him more. When it became obvious to be that he was smitten to Amy, the police chief, I have been beside myself with anticipation.
Their love story is 100% swoon worthy. I love that Cooper thinks he is not worthy of Amy. Amy is besotted with Cooper and feels he is out of her league. She is 100% bada$$ and I have loved her from the beginning. When they finally cave to their mutual attraction, sparks fly. I really liked getting to know each of them better. They each have issues that they grow through over the course of their love story. There is a lot to be said for youthful mistakes and personal growth. I love the fact that they support each other with a belief in each other that is truly inspiring. There are some side stories that I hope will allow for set-ups for future love stories, and I adore the bromance Cooper has with Nick. Juniper Ridge is a fun small-town experiment. I love everything about it.
This story packs some humor, heat, and a ton of heart. There are kittens and cows too. There is so much I want to say. Let it suffice to say that you need to read this one. The story I waited for is absolutely, swoony perfection.
I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book.

Loved it! Cooper Judson actor, playboy/bad boy, drug addict, alcoholic, survivor! But what's best about Coop is his empathy and his honest need to want to help others.
Amy Lovelin, Juniper Ridge's police chief she is smart, brave, friendly, and always willing to help.
These two have been dancing around each other forever it seems and they are finally getting there chance. Well Coop self sabotage? Will Amy set aside her dream?
Can these two let their friendship lead them down a new path or will they miss their chance trying to change things that don't need their opinion.

I absolutely love Cooper, his humor, love for his family, and just everything. He used to be a famous actor now he is his family’s “go-fer.” He had me laughing and when he was even being awkward, he stole my heart. Amy works hard and has regrets when it comes to her brother, so she knows to stay away from Cooper, but fate has other plans. The story was sweet, funny, I loved both their family dynamics, but they both have their own regrets and mistakes will they be able to overcome those to see what life has in store for them? This series is full of laughs and emotions, but above all you feel like you are a part of this group and are emersed in their lives.

We finally get Cooper and Amy's story as it has been smoldering for some time now. This is a fun book with all the characters and some added animals to boot or moo as the case may be. Coop has been the Hollywood heartthrob for years and Juniper Ridges' police chief, Amy knows he is way out of her league but when they are together her heart does funny things and she just wants to kiss him. Coop has had a crush on the police chief for a long time but knows she doesn't want him because of his past. Little does he know she really does. There are struggles and past demons to deal with as well as furry kitties and cows. Great story.
