A difficult and painful love story...

at least I think it is... At the very least, volume 4 brings the two protagonists back together. Whether they love each other is actually not clear, especially to themselves. They continue to hide their true selves, not because of deceit, but because they don't actually know or honestly admit their feelings. I hope there's a volume 5, because this story is certainly not finished.

Hyesun was the mvp in this volume. Her words really resonated with Jaeha. Hell, with me too! She’s right. You want to know everything about a person BECAUSE you love them and Jaeha spent his life hiding the dark and gritty, his flaws and weaknesses, BECAUSE he loves someone. He didn’t want them to be “burdened” by him.
I’m ready for him to let himself love fully without fear. He deserves it. Both these guys do. They’re right for each other. It’s just been a long road there.

Sped read through this because it was too delicious but painful. It reminded me of the current emotional pain I’m even suffering through myself, starving for what Eunho is looking to have with Jeaha. I should have honestly waited until March since the last volume comes out in April this year. *sigh* I’m deeply hoping (but can tell from maybe the next volume cover) that they work it out. I guess this is where I go back to relive some memories until April to keep it fresh in my mind. I’m glad the ex-wife came to see Jaeha and talk. Sometimes it takes things like that to move forward and reframe your thinking. Not everyone is so lucky, of course. However, I also resonate with the pain of abandonment and being left like Jeaha, which is also why this hits hard too… His Dad is a terrible man and reminds me of my parents both separate and together. I know how he must feel not wanting to hurt someone he cares about, in escapism, looking for the light at the end of the tunnel of pain. The never ending bullshit. When you find someone that makes you happy, it feels fake and even wrong when it’s not. Almost as if you don’t deserve the relationship because of how people treat you or treated you before, even if they are not connected. As someone who is a person that lives with CPTSD from childhood trauma and queer, it’s rough. I can see both sides in this, but upon going to therapy and working through things similar to what Jeaha is experiencing, I lean more on Eunho’s side now, longing for acceptance and being wanted. Very deep, very painful…

There was so little that didn’t involve you that after I eliminated everything that did there wasn't much else left.

This volume was exceptionally sad. And I loved every page of it. We also get more clarity on Jaeha's divorce and it was so wonderfully done.

Sometimes we read stories where we feel bad for the MC or the ML. But this is one of the few stories I feel bad for both. They end up hurting each other even if it's not their intentions.

Jaeha does takes a lot of things in his life for granted mostly because he is waiting for it to end because of past trauma. And Eunho thinks if he keeps holding on he will get Jaeha's love. They are literally standing at two different ends and neither wants to take a step forward to find some middle ground or completely let go. But the last few pages made me think that Eunho might finally do it. He is going to let go. I am ready to be hurt and then have my heart put together by these boys.

Jaeha deserves some of the anger directed at him, sure, but Eunho is throwing out more than a few mixed signals himself and acting like a jerk in trying to imitate Jaeha's previous reserve when they meet up again. It's rather impressive how Jaeha finally figures things out and comes to terms with what he wants, though hopefully it's not another case of too little too late. Eunho's reaction is not really what is expected at all on the surface, but makes sense underneath given how sensitive he is to Jaeha especially. Hopefully the truth hasn't destroyed his own self confidence to the point where he's now the one unwilling to take a chance. It looks like Eunho hasn't responded to Jaeha yet at the end of this volume, though they are once again surrounded by Eunho's family. The next volume looks to be the last of the series, so expect to see the final resolution of events then.

The. Fucking. Whiplash. i got from reading this!! Hooooly moly wow we love to hate Jaeha huh. Poor Eunho… did some horrible things too. I had hoped the angst wouldve been taken up a notch tbh, but im glad it was ok. It was there… Jaeha is so annoying and i dont understand him but Eunho deserves waaaay better. BUT!! but! A VERY BIG BUT. I do actually want them to be endgame.

I cant wait for the next volume!! So dRaMatiC !!
