The ugly duckling from my high school is back in my life and she’s all I can think about. Unfortunately, she’s off limits. Work rules. Tell that to my naughty thoughts and constant raging desires. When my dad decides he’s getting married, I need a date for the event. She’s the only one I’d want on my arm, in my bed, my lap… you get the picture. The issue is my twin brother and I used to bully this girl. He’s gonna give me so much grief over falling for her now. And maybe he’s right to. Maybe she’s not after love, but revenge. No. There’s no way she’s that brilliant, is she? Would it matter if she were? No. I’m lost to her now. I deserve whatever she’s up to. She might not have been the one back then, but there’s no one else I want now. No matter what, I chose her. Whether she chooses me or not.
Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.

I thought this book was really good. Lots of emotion, with laughs and spice too. The character interaction was really good. The story was interesting and held my attention well. I found myself rooting for Kaden and Brooke to overcome the obstacles from their past and I wanted to knock some sense into Kody. I thought the ending did a good job of resolving the difficulties. I received an advance review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
The book opens with, Kaden Wagner, the twin with a brain for reading a room, the one worried as to why their widowed father is calling a meeting at his home, and worries about the reputation of the family company that his brother, Kody is so adamant on tearing down with possible HR issues of sexual harassment.
Kody is the eternal party boy, he’s acting like he’s not fretting over the fact that his father, called a meeting which is laughable. He normally lets nothing get to him. But, when Kaden brings up the possibility of their father, being ready to settle down with, Margaux, Kody appears out of sorts, about him wanting to replace their mom.
When their dad announces his intentions, to not only them but to, Mercedes, too. Things get serious fast. Knowing it was a possibility, it is different when you see it unfolding, right before your eyes. Just ask, Kody as he was now wearing the drink contents of, Kaden’s mouth across his face, and upper torso.
Brooke Ponder had a rough time in high school. She and her best friend who was her partner in crime, and also on the nerdy side. But, she didn’t end up with a severe hangup over her body image, like Brooke. All because of a set of twins, in their graduating class. Now she is nearly, OCD when it comes to keeping her appearance in check, her weight down, and how she interacts with others.
When she arrives on, Monday her boss and friend, Todd is out due to his son needing to stay home. She needs to take over the office in his absence. She also has her agenda of things to get done, for the office to continue to thrive. When she sent individual emails contacting companies last, Friday she was hoping to get a bite or two, and she was not disappointed.
Wagner Industries had replied. She gets a strong feeling that the name should mean something to her, but, nothing stands out. So, she shakes it off and does the follow-up. How had her brain overlooked the most important detail, by not knowing who all the players were, when she reached out to the company? But it all comes rushing back when, Kaden Wagner walks into the office for his meeting with, Todd. It’s Kaden who puts their connection together first, at least into words.
Brooke was dumbfounded that one of the twin duo, who had tortured her all through their senior year, was standing in front of her. Once she got her thoughts in order she recovered enough to escort him to, Todd’s office. It's clear he likes the new her, she is sporting and he let her know he wanted to catch up.
Everything is not as it appeared in high school. No one is who they portrayed. Most were trying not to be seen, to make it every day. You will need to read the book to find out if things went down, the way they were told it would. Did they both get lied to? By the one person who was the root, of all the lying to them both.
This was a good book with a good seed and, a bad seed scenario going on. However, the dynamics between, Brooke and, Kaden were that of two people hurting from hurt and losses during childhood. They found comfort in each other. It's too bad they became sexually dependent on each other, only clouding their true feelings, for one another.
“I Choose You” is an enemies-to-lovers, fake relationship, and second chance story, and is part of the ‘Wedding Belles Alpha’ collection by Weston Parker. This book explores issues that many people encounter in life – including the long-lasting effects of bullying and the difficulties we face in coping with trauma.
Kaden and Kody are twin brothers who seemed to have it all in high school. They were rich, handsome, athletic, and popular with everyone. Brooke was just about as far from that as could be. But she was a good student and a good person. When Kody does something terrible to her, it has a long-lasting, damaging effect on her self-esteem to the point that she develops body dysmorphia and can’t see herself as she really is. Brooke is hurt, angry, and sad because she had a silent crush on Kaden and that’s who she thought humiliated her.
As an adult, Brooke has become a much more confident person, although her distorted body image has lingered and affects some choices she’s made. She’s good at what she does at her job and has achieved some success in her life. Kaden is coping with his father’s sudden decision to remarry and requests his father makes of him and his brother. To comply with his father’s wishes, he needs a date for a bunch of wedding related events. While he’s figuring out what to do about that, his job brings him into contact with Brooke … and the rest is both what you expect, and what you probably won’t expect at all.
The emotion in the story makes it intense. Brooke and Kaden both have to reconcile the past and the present before they can imagine a future. Even Kody shows emotional change and growth. Although there are serious subject matter issues, there are enough lighthearted and steamy moments that it leaves you feeling good, not sad. The dialogue and pacing were excellent, and I also appreciated the way in which the author reveals glimpses of the past so we can share in Brooke’s experiences in a powerful way.
Twins Kaden and Kody Wagner are surprised to be summoned by their wealthy father to his estate on a Sunday. As they move to the backyard where others are gathered, both are shocked to hear that the special announcement is that their dad is going to marry Margaux, whom he has known only for several months.
Brooke Ponder is the head administrator at Halden, Inc., a paper distribution company and a closet OCD with tattoos. She has been reaching out to possible new clients and is thrilled to receive a positive reply from Wagner Industries, a huge conglomerate, which would be a huge feather in her cap if it happens. Except whe she actually comes face to face with Kaden Wagner, here for a meeting with her boss, she is stunned to recognize him as one of the popular boys from high school who, along with his brother, had humiliated her. And when her boss secures the account, he appoints her to manage it. Well, not exactly a meet cute but pretty close to it!
But the path to HEA is never easy, and our couple struggles to come to terms with loss, insecurities, secrets, and Kody’s unacceptable, negative attitude toward Brooke, which began back on high school. Weston Parker is a truly gifted writer who paints a tapestry filled with humor, beautifully detailed descriptions, great characters, and smokin’ hot romance. I adore this latest addition to the Wedding Bells Alpha collection and am confident that other readers will too.
I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.
I can't believe there are 11 books in this series and they keep getting better. The storyline in this one was a departure from the previous books, but it still had a wedding tie-in to it. In this case, a wedding between Kaden's father and his girlfriend Margeaux. I loved their relationship - even the little we saw of them, you could see they were in love and couldn't wait to start their lives together.
Enter Kaden's problem, though. His father would like him and his twin Kody to have legitimate dates for the wedding events. He's intrigued when a company offers his company a business opportunity. When he arrives, he sees the girl he wronged so many years ago - Brooke. Brooke was the dorky girl in high school who never caught a break. And Kaden and Kody didn't help her much. Now, she's transformed into a Tatto'd swan of sorts and looking at Kaden she really wants revenge.
One problem - she still likes him. He's infatuated with her. And he has the brilliant idea of bringing her to his father's wedding. Before she could say no, he even offers her money to do it. The money is needed to help her mother, so she agrees. But something deep-down tells her it's not right.
Their romance felt so real. It felt like it wasn't rushed or even unheard of. You also see a lot of closure between all 3 characters that was very satisfying. I'm so glad Kaden chose Brooke because they really made each other better!
I Choose You is a heartwarming romance novel that skillfully weaves together themes of love, personal growth, and second chances. The story centers around the charismatic billionaire, Kaden and his reunion with a former high school classmate, Brooke, who has been grappling with deep-seated body image issues stemming from past bullying, in part by Kaden's twin Kody.
Brooke is beautifully written as a strong yet vulnerable woman who had learned to camouflage her insecurities with artwork on her skin but must learn to truly embrace her inner beauty and overcome those insecurities instead of masking them. She wants to get revenge against Kaden for what she believes was his role in her struggles in high school, but she struggles to set aside her feelings in order to get it.
The romance is both heartwarming and realistic. What sets this novel apart is the depth with which it explores the emotional scars left by bullying and the healing power of love and self-acceptance.
I Choose You is not just a tale of love between a billionaire and an ordinary woman; it is a story of love's transformative power and the strength that can be found in vulnerability. Readers will find themselves rooting for Kaden and Brooke, not just as a couple but as individuals on a journey towards healing and happiness.

I was so hoping that Kaden and Kody from “Love Me Not” would get their own books. When I found out this was Kaden’s book, I was so excited and happy that Weston Parker didn’t let me down! I loved this story!
I love that Kaden and Brooke got a second chance. They may have been enemies when their paths crossed years later after high school, but there was definitely no denying the chemistry between these two! I loved that Kaden was able to help Brooke see her beauty and overcome her insecurities. I loved how sweet and caring, yet full on alpha he was as well. I loved how Brooke was able to see the real Kaden and bring humor to his life when he needed it. Although what happened to Brooke in her past caused her heartache, I loved the dedication she had towards her heath. I also love that she had all those tattoos and could relate to real people.
I am so hoping that Kody gets a book of his own. I know there is a sweet, caring alpha male under that jerk mask he is wearing. I love this series and all of Weston Parker’s books.
I received an advanced readers copy via BookFunnel/the author. These thoughts and opinions are my own and left voluntarily after reading for my own personal enjoyment.
This story is about self-image that leave deep scars from the past. Kaden works in his father’s company, Wagner Industries, with his twin brother Kody. Although his father is not yet ready to retire, they get a big surprise of his getting married after many years of raising his children alone and building a great company. Brooke is the head administrator of a paper distribution company, Halden, Inc. in NYC. She also has a very strict routine every day of exercise since she’s lost weight. She sent out acquisitions to companies to partner with them, but didn’t realize it was Kaden Wagner. Besides having a crush on him in high school, she had a history with him and his brother, a not so good one. Now he’s come for a meeting, but with her boss, and they both are tongue tied and surprised to see one another. Their journey is a rocky one, to say the least. They have to climb emotional hurdles that are cut deep inside them. It was wonderful to go on this emotional ride with them. It’s hot and steamy, extremely emotional, but with a magnetism that can’t be denied.
The story starts with Kaden and Brooke meeting at a business appointment and Brooke freezing when she realises she knew both him and his brother from their college days. I liked the way that the story referred back to their school days throughout the course of the book and the impact it had had on Brooke from those days onwards. Kaden and his twin brother Kody are two very different personalities, whilst Kaden is considerate and supportive, Kody is a definite playboy. I really admired Brooke’s character. She had struggled through her school years and despite this got to a good position in work but still had her moments of self-doubt with regard to her body image. Add in her tattoos which each tell a story, the most telling one is that which both she and her mum got. She definitely was a complex person but knew when she’d made a mistake and had the integrity to admit to it. An emotional story, full of ups and downs, with some steamy sessions thrown in the mix. I hope there’s a follow up story featuring Kody next.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Brooke and Kayden. Brooke is a workaholic and when she sends an email to offer her company's paper supplies to Wagner Industries, she is shocked to see her high school enemy, Kayden show up for the meeting. Kayden recognized Brooke, even though she changed a lot since high school. He remembers Brooke as being very quiet and how his twin Kody used to bully her. Brooke hates that she never got over her high school experiences and how they gave her body image issues. When she is forced to work with Kayden, she thinks she might finally get revenge. Brooke doesn't expect Kayden to be charming and have changed, or to be attracted to him. Kayden wants to be closer to Brooke, so he asks her if she will be his fake date to all of the events planned for his father's wedding. I really liked this story. I related a lot to Brooke and how things from the past could still haunt you today. I think bullies never realize the impact they have on someone and this shows it in a very good way. Another great story from Weston.
This is a brilliant read full of so much emotion and drama and revenge for the past but also so much love. Brooke is a little ocd about everything especially her appearance but it all stems back to high school. She was a nerd and not great looking and the Wagner twins made her life hell which was made worse when one of them asked her to the prom but only as a joke. Kaden and Kody Wagner both work at the company their father started and when an invite to partner with a paper company Kaden follows it through. When he meets Brooke at the company he is shocked and both end up tongue tied but he wants to see her again. The chemistry between them is electric and when he asks her to be his fake date to his father's wedding she accepts. I loved how they were together and how Kaden saw her for the beautiful strong woman that she is but when feelings change can they really make it real with the past still between them. A perfect ending with many stumbles along the way. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
4.5 Stars!! There is Kaden who is a twin and works for his father's mega company, Wagner Industries. Then there is Brooke who is the head administrator for Halden, Inc., a paper company. She is charged with drumming up new business and sends an email to Wagner. It would be a big coup to get their business. What she doesn't realize until too late is that Kaden is the boy who along with her brother terrorized her in high school. She always had a crush on him but now she is ready to get some revenge. She prides herself on her routine to keep in shape now that she has lost all her weight. Kaden see Brooke and recognizes her and can't believe how she has turned into a stunning woman. When he invites her to be his date at his dad's wedding, she knows this is her chance. This is a roller coaster ride of emotions with lots of good steam and a magnetism that keeps you reading.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
5 stars I received a free copy of the steamy New York set novel I Chose You: A Wedding Bells Alpha Novel: Book Nine: by Weston Parker and this review was given freely. Sibling drama, many steamy scenes, touches of humor, a sudden parental wedding, realistic characters, and a happy ending despite heartache make this an interesting and engrossing read. In this then-and-now romance, work and image-focused paper-distributing company executive Brooke Ponder is reunited with wealthy twins Kaden and Kody Wagner, who caused emotional trauma to her senior year of high school resulting in dysmorphia, her multiple tattoos, and her reconsidering her part in a lucrative business/ personal deal with the regretful and strongly attracted oldest twin, Kaden.
18+ for intimate scenes and frank language this novel spreads awareness of the troubling diagnosis of dysmorphia.
Kaden and Brooke change their lives and their future. Brooke was bullied in high school and it made her life absolutely miserable. When she meets Kaden again 12 years later, he is just as good looking as he was in high school but she can’t forget what he did. Kaden has to really pull out his manners to show Brooke that he has changed. But when the truth comes out, oh no, will not be the only words you will be saying. Excellent story writing. Excellent storytelling. So many situations that could go either way between Kaden and Brooke. Is it fake or is it real? And who will be the one to say it first. Every chapter brings more situations or conversations that seem to be taken out of context. Can Kaden and Brooke get everything straightened out or will they ruin what they are building together. I loved it.
Great choice! This book has introduced me to body dysmorphia. I love when books have vocabulary that enhances my knowledge. This story does an excellent job of putting a face on how events in your teen years can have a lasting effect on you. Brooke is a shero in her own right because she has worked hard to improve her self confidence. Kaden and Kody are twins who attended high school with Brooke. They also had some difficult years and their reasons why they behaved as entitled spoiled brats in high school. It is touching how Brooke and Kaden navigate being back in each other’s lives and becoming more than friends. I really enjoyed how their past and present was interwoven to keep the story interesting and entertaining.
I received this book from Bookfunnel as an ARC. I have included my feelings and thoughts about this book.
Yay! Another Wedding Bells Alpha! This was a tougher book for me to get into in the beginning. And that was all because I could too closely relate to the heroine’s crises of self-confidence and sometimes compulsive behaviors. It was slightly difficult to look directly into that mirror. However, once we got to know Kaden and Brooke a little better, I fell in love with the pair. It hurt my heart to witness the pain Brooke still suffered in her feelings about her appearance. But I adored seeing how sweetly and fiercely Kaden loved and supported her during her darkest moments. Their Happy Ever After is perfect for them, and now my fingers are crossed that we get to see who and what it takes to find Kody his Forever. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.
Kaden Wagner runs into Brooke Ponder after Brooke reaches out to him, not realizing who he was, to get a contract between Wagner Industries and Halden Inc. Once they meet at Brooke's office, all the memories from the past come back to haunt her. The incident that happen between Brooke and the Wagner twins, Kaden and Kody, caused Brooke to go through self doubt and body issues. After Kaden asked her to be his date to his dad's wedding events, Brooke comes up with a plan tp get revenge. The plan doesn't last long after they start to have feelings for one another. The growth they both have to go through is wonderful to see especially how Kaden helps Brooke to see how beautiful she is. This was a wonderful story.
I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.
This story is about Kaden and Brooke who has known each other since high school. They met again after many years at a business appointment. The book keeps going back and forth from the present days to the past days to get a better understanding of Brooke and Kaden story. Regardless their ups and downs they managed to understand each other. There was not many problems for them to concur and they both wanted to be happy and that was for them to be together. It was such an interesting book and how Kaden helps Brooke accomplished to appreciate more her appearance. They have a HEA and it was such a sweet end. You will not regret reading this book!
This is such a unique story about healthy body image, the importance of loving yourself and the power of forgiveness. The author brings all the feels of these themes without making the story preachy or overly angsty. Brooke and Kaden have history that's not so good, mostly because of his twin brother. Still, they couldn't deny their strong connection and chemistry. Their journey had some twists and turns I didn't see coming, but I loved that they communicated and handled them like adults. The character building showed what made our MCs tick and how they evolved together to become a couple. Dual POVs, well-written smexiness, head-over-heels swoony romance, witty dialogue, and a perfect HEA - just a great enjoyable read.
Book 11 in the Wedding Bells Alpha Novel series and they just keep getting better with each couple. We first met Kaden and Kody in Love Me Not and this is Kaden’s story. A great second chance romance for Brooke and Kaden that will have you rooting for them to get their HEA. Due to Kody bullying Brooke in high school, she doesn’t like Kaden when they meet years later after high school. The problem is that the chemistry between them was electric so even though she is not happy with him, she can’t deny how she is feeling. She can see that Kaden is not the same as she thought in high school. Watching them navigate through all their issues to find the love that was between them was so good. Another great story from Weston. Can’t wait to see what is up next.
This was a great story about growing up and getting over the stupid stuff you did as a kid. Kaden & Kody were the mean kids, and Brooke really struggled after high school to get past the bullying. In a bit of a surprise, they run into each other during a business deal, and Kaden realizes that she's pretty amazing now. Brooke, however, has other plans...time to get back at the boys for all the stuff they did to her. Unfortunately, fate gives them a big twist, and these two fall into feelings. This is a lovely story that gives you all the feels, and really builds out these characters and how they grow as humans. Highly recommended! I received this book as an ARC for my voluntary review.
Brooke and Kaden have history but not all good history. Brooke suffered from body issues and self esteem issues due to Kaden and his twin Kody and their teasing. Upon Brooke and Kaden meeting for business purposes all bets are off when Kaden asks Brooke to be his date to his fathers wedding activities. Brooke decides to extract revenge but quickly realizes that she’s in love with Kaden. They both had to grow in order to figure it out but once they do they both get the happily ever after they were searching for without realizing it. This series has been nothing short of phenomenal. Love all the characters and the story line.
This book tells Kaden and Brooke's story, it's a Second Chance story with a bit of a twist because Kaden has a twin Kody, they are nothing alike Kaden is always steady and reliable whilst Kody is always up to some sort of mischief. Brooke attended the same High School, she was a shy introvert, often picked on by Kody but thought it was Kaden.
When they meet again years later through a business deal there's a spark and they decide to go with the flow and embark on a whirlwind adventure together. Their story is a rollercoaster ride where you get to feel all the emotions, revenge, hurt, and friendship which leads to love. Their journey isn't smooth but it's well worth going on.
I Choose You, A Wedding Bells Alpha novel, follows Kaden Wagner and Brooke Ponder. While in high school, Brooke had a crush on Kaden, but he and his twin brother Kody used to bully Brooke but when Kody went too far, she thought it was Kaden. Now it’s been years and Kaden and Brooke’s paths cross when they are forced to work together. Meanwhile, Kaden’s father is getting remarried and he needs a date for the wedding, if only for appearances so he offers to pay Brooke to join him, and since she needs the money for her mother, she accepts. Will Brooke be able to overcome past trauma and forgive Kaden? Or will she use this “date” as a chance for revenge?
I'm in totally in love with this series. Brooke is a perfectionist, but a person would never understand what made her this way or how it effects her life. But when her job has her working on getting new clients, she ends up contacting Wagner Industries. She never thought she would see Kody or Kaden Wagner ever after being in high school with them. They made her senior year hell but now Kaden ends up coming into her life through a business agreement with their company and the one she works for. I love the interaction between the two. There is a connection between the two and it made me want learn more about them. So I couldn't put the book down and was reading into the night.
Brooke Ponder and Kaden Wagner cross paths again 12 years after last seeing each other in high school, where they had a very rocky history. I really liked their enemies-to-lovers story because it portrayed the male lead, Kaden, as so empathetic to Brooke's dysmorphia. He was truly "the good twin" in every sense. Kody didn't turn out to be all bad, though; he had redeeming qualities, too. Brooke's close relationships with her mom and her BFF, Rena, were very touching. Weston does a very good job with character development in this book. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Some of the sweetest characters EVER! Kaden and Brooke have a love like no other; all their ups and downs make this story interesting and the dynamics of their relationship to figure out whether or not it is one? It takes them a while to figure out what they are, but they both know they don't want to be apart. Hard book to put down! The supporting characters are always outstanding too. Thanks Weston, another 5 star for me. I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.
I absolutely fell in love with Kaden and Brooke's story! He is her high school crush and he is the one who broke her heart. Entertaining, will have you caught in their story from the first to the last page . Brooke has history with Kaden and his twin Kody that caused her body issues and a bit of trauma. When Kaden recognizes her, he wants to invite her as his date to his father's wedding and she thinks it would be her chance to seek her revenge....but life has a strange way of changing thinks on you and helping you find your HEA which is right in front of you. Great story and characters.
This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters centering on Kaden and Brooke. The author takes you into their lives dealing with past hurts involving his identical twin which helped cause deep insecurities and lack of self esteem for Brooke. She thinks both brother's were involved in the incident. Now years later Kaden and Brooke are finding truths and love. The story moves fluidly with descriptive scenes and is a terrific romance. I loved reading their story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
