Route to Romance
Sometimes the road to love takes a few detours before you find the right path.
A lawyer no longer enjoying the daily grind.
A songwriter on a deadline struggling with writer’s block.
Shelby Harrison needs a break, before she breaks. Taking the forced advice from her boss, she rents an RV, and her first destination is some much needed family time. Yet, even with the law firm growing more distant in her rearview mirror, she can’t help but ponder an alternative path.
Jason Yates needs to hand over the songs to the artist before he’s in breach of his contract. Unable to overcome the depression of his recent breakup, he hooks up a camper and hits the road with his furry sidekick, Cooper.
When Shelby and Jason cross paths, the two former high school classmates bond and discuss life’s adventures, pitfalls, and dreams. Along the way, their friendship continues to blossom and so do the growing feelings for each other.

As always, Author Savannah Hendricks has written another fantastic book! All of her books add heart, humor, love, mystery among many other feelings to them. They are great fiction, clean wholesome reading. They give me such happiness, pleasure, peace and satisfaction every time!
Synopsis of book:
Route to Romance is about two people at a crossroads in their lives. Shelby, a lawyer doing the job of her dreams or is it the job or her dreams? Jason, an artist who writes songs for other artists to sing. Lately he's been in a real slump over a breakup with his girlfriend. Fortunately he has his faithful companion, Cooper his dog.

Route to Romance is a clean wholesome second chance romance with plenty of nostalgia.
Frazzled lawyer Shelby Harrison is definitely in need of a break after losing a big case. With 4 weeks of vacation time Shelby heads out on the road in a retro camper to visit family.
Jason Yates is a songwriter suffering writer’s block after a breakup with his girlfriend. With a deadline looming , Jason and his dog Cooper hitch a trailer to his truck and head out on the open road for some much needed inspiration.
Life is a highway, and when the two former high school classmates cross paths, just maybe they will find the road they were meant to travel together.
I really enjoyed this sweet, funny, and nostalgic second chance romance .

I’m so sad..sad because I just finished this beauty and didn’t want it to end. This story was SOO GOOD!! If you’ve never read Savannah Hendricks then you are missing out! The way she can write and make you feel like you’re inside the story is true genius.
The story of Shelby and Jason who just happen to be former schoolmates. The two are separately RVing, Jason to work on writing songs and Shelby to get away from her hectic life as a lawyer. Somehow they reconnect at an RV park and then keep running into each other on their travels. The spark is there from the first night of reconnecting and it continues to deepen as the days lead on.
The story is sweet and the details make it so fun to read! Shelby’s rv – an ode to the 80’s is hilarious and Jason’s dog, well would it be a Savannah Hendricks novel without an adorable dog in it? I truly enjoyed the story, the characters (COOPER 😍) and every little part of what made the story so wonderful. It was a pleasure to read and one that reminded me just how awesome of a gift it is – reading that is! Five stars for this great read!

Route to Romance by Savannah Hendricks is another wonderful book by one of my must read authors. This is a heartwarming romance story about second chance love. This is Shelby and Jason’s story and it will make you smile and it may also bring a tear to your eye. These two a very different people , but both trying to find themselves and what they find is pretty terrific. I love to read books by Ms. Hendricks, she is a very talented writer and she never disappoints!

This was my adopt an author pick and it was a totally new author for me. As you can tell by the title, it’s a romance novel. Not really my thing but this is what I chose so I went for it. I was pleasantly surprised on just how much I liked this novel! It started out like a Hallmark movie and ended the same. The story line flowed smoothly, and I just fell in love with the characters. It is well written and was really fun to read. Ms. Hendricks, you best be sending this in to some movie channel – Hallmark or Great American Family – cause it’s fantastic!

Savannah has written a fun adventurous story that had me loving the characters, Shelby who is taking a break from her job as a lawyer and Jason who is a songwriter struggling to meet his contract deadline. Both head out in their separate RVs for family time and inspiration, and the real adventure happens when their paths cross. There is a touch of humor added to the story, oh and Cooper, a giant Mastiff Lab.

This is a fun and quick read, if you let yourself sit down and read. You get to meet two people that hit the open road to clear their minds and find their creativity. I love that there is always a dog in the story, I would not want it any other way. You get to read from the main characters perspectives, and they really hit the nail on the head. You've got to throw caution to the wind and put yourself out there.

I loved this book so much!
What a great story! I spent a lot of years and many miles in living RV's! Thankfully I never got locked in one! From a tiny 14 foot one to big beautiful 5th wheels which thankfully I wasn't the driver! Loved the storyline!

High school classmates Shelby and Jason are both on the road, traveling in RVs, and keep running into each other on the road. Sometimes contrived, sometimes not. Both are looking for a change from their problematic lifestyles. Can they figure things out? Good book!

This book was enjoyable for many camping, family and professional reasons. Each character recognized their joys and doubts and maximized their potential. Readers familiar with travel trailer camping will smile thinking about experiences on the road with "hook-ups". Anyone with a high school friend they have not seen in years will related to finding a familiar face in an unexpected place. Shelby and Jason are each searching for satisfaction from their careers. Through this story, we are introduced to extended family members while we tour different states. I love how the chapters continue to propel the story to the eventual answers! 5 stars

What a beautiful and wonderful book about second chance romance. Two people on the road to find themselves but will they find it together? This sweet story examines the course to life changes they think will never happen. Hope and dreams that may or not grow to fruition. The way this author writes is like poetry in motion. I enjoy her books so much because they always bring a smile to my face with a few tears on occasion. If you like clean romance novels, then you’ll love this book and all her others. I highly recommend reading everything she’s writes.

Savannah has done it again, What a great read, Good romance story, not your usual romance but a sweet second chance story. A lawyer questioning her destiny, a song writer looking for inspiration....Both on road trips to clear their heads, paths cross...What develops is what makes this a great read.

Hello, adorable summer read. I felt like I was watching a movie, as I saw everything playing out, such detail, but not too much. I laughed too. I hope they make this a movie, it would be a great one.
