Farewell Jesse 🥺 What a way to finish this monumental series.

When we read This Man Confessed all those years ago, we had know idea that one day we were going to get into Jesse’s head and relive this turbulent, passionate and erotic love story through him. But here we are, in the Lords head …again, and he doesn’t disappoint.
The way JEM filled in the unknown happenings and goings on in Jesse’s life, surpassed my expectations. Giving it that fresh, new story feel. It’s so much more than a retelling.

It’s got fabulous humour in parts, with Lord and his neurotic ways, lol. It’s emotional, so so emotional. You really do get to understand Jesse’s turmoil, in turn what causes his neurotic behaviour and his possessive ways. Even more so than the two previous books. My heart broken for him numerous times throughout this book. 💔 There are some really heartfelt scenes, especially the conversations Jesse has with his brother Jake, and little girl Rosie 🥺 I had a lip wobble on many occasion. Especially towards the latter part of the book. That epilogue… 😭

Jesse really does expose all the broken pieces of his heart throughout This Woman Forever. But, we also get to witness all those broken parts being pieced back together, through forgiveness, Ava’s love for him, and love for himself. Jesse finally exorcised all his demons, which enables him to live the life he has always denied himself, but deserves ❤️

We also get to see so much more of Sam & Kates relationship through Sam eyes. And we get more Drew too. I love it when these guys are together. There’s certainly a bro-mance amongst the three of them and great humour. 😆

Again, JEM absolutely nailed it, with an amazing imagination and sublime penmanship. You definitely get the feel of finality for Jesse with this book, and even though I’m really sad to be saying goodbye to my number one alpha, Jesse Ward, I’m also so very happy JEM is taking him out on a high. The Lord deserves nothing less. 🥺

The words “My Work Here Is Done” come to mind.

Farewell my crazy Lord.
I’ve enjoyed every sense f*uk, every countdown, and every trample.
LONG LIVE THE LORD …END OF!

Ava + Jesse #3

Like with the first two books - we all know this story already. Ava told it to us years ago.
But now it's Jesse's turn to tell his side of everything - and it's a LOT that we never knew!
This last book is just as crazy and Jesse-ish as the first two.
Ava just agreed to marry him - in two weeks. And Jesse still hasn't talked to her about his past! Plus there will be some dangers coming if we remember correctly...
It will be a long while until our two darlings will be able to ride off into that happily ever after sunset!

Oy! 🔥

Another perfect JEM book.
What can I say that hasn't been said?
I will just quote from my review of the last book(s)...

This third book is again basically our poor Jesse trying to keep Ava with him and healthy, dealing with lots of Manor stuff now that Sarah is gone. We obviously get lots of sexy scenes. Lots of them. Lots of funny and adorable moments. And some very heartbreaking back-in-time moments.
And of course a lot of lying! Or rather lies of omission. He's just not telling Ava everything and that makes me so mad! Ugh. That guy needs to see a therapist SO badly! Grr.

There's not much more I could say without telling you all the secrets. Which is stupid because you might think you already know everything. But you don't ....
(insert creepy Halloween laughter!)

This book is a 100% Must Read for all fans of Jesse!
I would not recommend this for new reades. Please read Ava's books first.
You will get the shock(s) of your life if you start with Jesse's side. LOL!

I loved reading this final book in Jesse's POV.
Like I said before there are some moments where you want to stop reading or where you just want to hit him over the head with your kindle.
But the poor guy has a lot of growing up to do - despite his age he's still a young boy. With his parents and the whole sad past and all the deaths and his lifestyle he never really had a chance to mature in a normal way. Which does not excuse his horrible behavior but we can understand him at least a little bit.
Okay - that's all. READ this book if you love Jesse and if you don't yet know him - get your hands on Ava's books and fall in love with the Lord for the very first time. It won't be easy but it'll be worth it!

THIS WOMAN FOREVER is a Must Read for all fans of Jesse + Ava - and if you haven't read Ava's books yet RUN to your nearest book dealer and buy them! And then come back for Jesse's side of everything!
You'll get Sexy. Crazy. Mad. Sweet. Erotic. Insane. Adorable. Hot. Funny. Heartbreaking. Scary. Loco and most importantly you'll get... the Lord himself: JESSE WARD!! THIS SERIES IS A MUST READ IN THE EROTIC ROMANCE GENRE!

5 GAZILLION ‘Pure Bliss’ STARS

MY HEART, I am in PURE BLISS, completely and utterly PERFECT after this unbeatable LOVE story!!! I thought I couldn’t love Jesse Ward more, well I was wrong, because I’m in Central Jesse Cloud Nine! FOREVER!!!!

Oh this is so d@mn bittersweet... This epic love story, that I adore with all my heart, became even more irresistible in Jesse's mind, yes, male POV are generally my favourite but here, oh my heart, it was SUBLIME!

Heart wrenchingly beautiful This Woman Forever is the PERFECT conclusion for Jesse and Ava's, forever branded in my soul, love story. This whirlwind tale that brought me the Alpha of all Alphas, the most OTT obsessed of my favourite male main characters, has ended in the most touching of ways, coming full circle, and leaving me swooning in the best of ways.

Honestly, I think I'll never be ready to say goodbye to these two, because the MASTERPIECE that is This Man series cannot be matched, and Jodi Ellen Malpas did what few other authors have ever done, setting a fictional landmark with this steamy, emotional, sensual, and swoon worthy, heart touching story, in the romance universe! Jesse Ward will FOREVER be imprinted in our hearts! END OF!

“I love you,” I whisper, pushing my lips into her hair, breathing in deeply.
“I know,” she murmurs, resting her hand on my chest as we follow the kids. “It’s been a lovely day.”
“Pure bliss, baby,” I reply, smiling.
Forever.
All because of this woman.

Ok Lord Lovers! Jesse’s story is finally at the end from his point of view but he will never be forgotten! This is the third book in the This Woman series and we jump right in after book two’s cliffhanger with Jesse meeting Ava’s family in the penthouse. I loved reliving Jesse and Ava’s relationship with all of its ups and downs from Mr. Ward’s POV. It just adds everything we wanted and more to the their everlasting love story. There are so many moments from Jesse and his buddies to his inner turmoil within himself. We just get everything we wanted to know and more. Gotta love all the Jesse tramples to get want he wants! LOL Get ready to have all the feels from touching and emotional to funny. A beautiful romance with a demanding lord of the manor and his lady! Told in first person and dual POV

CENTRAL JESSE CLOUD NINE

Jesse Ward is my beginning, my end, and everything in between. End of.

I loved all of his insane thoughts regarding the pregnancy. He was absolutely hilarious. I especially love every time he told Ava not to run because she was scrambling up his babies! LOL

Sure, he might be a way OTT, but could you imagine how incredible it would be if all women had a husband as devoted as Jesse? His love for Ava was never in question. Especially during her pregnancy. He was so freaking precious!!!!

I much prefer his POV because Ava was annoying as hell. Shane East narrating grew on me. Just remember he can be very shouty.

This is one that I'll re-listen to for years to come. Long live the Lord of the Sex Manor.

REMINDER: DO NOT under any circumstances read With This Man (This Man Book #4). JEM totally RUINS everything.

I don’t have the words. This was really hard for me. It’s hard reading a book where you already know the story and know what happens at the end and beyond before even opening the first page. I have read and reread the original series thousands of times and always wanted to know what was going on in Jesse’s head. This gave that and so much more. It was utterly beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time but also I think the perfect way to end my time at the manor.

I’m going to give a little back story about my reading journey. Right before the second 50 Shades movie came out I was intrigued because it was so widely talked about. So I picked up the series. That then led me to pick up the Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day. I loved those and was getting more interested in the genre. That led me to This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas. Those first three books changed my life. They put me on an emotional rollercoaster that I was not ready for but loved every moment of. I fell in love with Jesse and Ava’s story. When JEM Announced that she was writing the full series again but from Jesse’s POV I was so excited but also nervous. The same thing happened with the 50 Shades series and it kinda ruined it for me. But I fully trusted her because JEM has never steered me wrong. They were everything I wanted and so much more. I am so sad that this is the last time with Jesse and Ava but I’m so happy that I got to see them all the way through. The last 15% had me sobbing like a baby.

First of all, I want to make it clear that I was NOT going to read this final instalment of this epic car crash of a dog’s dinner. As far as I was concerned, I had wasted enough time on this series and I certainly wasn’t going to spend good money on them. I was lent the first two books in this (milking a concept for all its worth from Jesse’s perspective) version of the completely diabolical This Man series and as far as I was concerned that was more than enough and I wasn’t going to put myself through it again.

However, I have been reading a number of modern classics along with a really well written series of books by a new author recently and the overall outstanding quality of the writing & story telling in all these books has left me feeling a little wrung out. The stories were so immersive, consuming and thought provoking that I just wanted to read an easy ‘park your brain at the door’ book… just some mindless drivel, and then right on cue my friend said ‘I’ve got the last book in the This Woman series do you want to borrow it?’ My initial gut reaction was ‘I ain’t that desperate! Hell no, a world of no, never ever - no, just no!’ I mean there is mindless drivel and then there is just completely bad beyond any reason and the other two books I read fell squarely in that latter category. Then my friend said it’s so nice,

So, with every last vestige of common sense screaming at me to not do it, and telling me that it was going to be really bad… I did it. I am now ashamed to say that I have now read the This Man series (it was completely crap!) and the This woman series (this was also completely crap). To be fair (as I really am desperately trying to find a positive in this somewhere) there were some good ideas, a few… not many, just the odd one or two. Don’t get me wrong, the in between life and death bit could’ve been really good… but sadly in this case it was just cringeworthy. I’m also guessing that someone told the author that the concept of a man totally controlling a woman to the point of deliberately getting her pregnant is beyond wrong, is a bona fide crime, classed as abuse and in no way romantic - so in this story Jesse is soundly berated by his friends for doing this, which I suppose is something, but that literally is the only positive thing I can salvage from this book.

I know I brought it on myself, I know I should’ve stuck to my guns and said no. But in a way (a perverse and clearly masochistic way) I am actually quite glad I have read this along with the others as it truly makes me appreciate all the other books which I’ve ever read that (unlike these) really were well written, but are just not to my taste far more than I would’ve done otherwise. But it also saddens me that this appallingly written, badly edited immature nonsense is what passes as literature these days.

I said I wanted a park your brain at the door book – some mindless drivel. This is more park your brain in the dustbin alongside this book and the others in this series as that is where these books belong.

My rating is zero stars, but unfortunately it appears I have to give it something so that is zero stars rounded up to one star because zero stars isn't an option.

How can you know a story and know nothing at all?

This Woman Forever, the third and final book in the This Man retelling is absolutely worthy of all the stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I knew when the retellings began that this book was coming. The last one. The end of Jesse and Ava. But I never expected it hit so hard.

If you’ve read the This Man series from Ava’s POV, then you’ll know their story. You know exactly what happens and how the story ends. But these books from Jesse’s POV are so clever because now we know what he is thinking when all those things happen. We get inside his mind and understand his OTT, irrational behaviour properly.

Is he wildly erratic, OTT and way past the line of sanity? Yeah. Yeah he is. Do we love it? Yeah. Yeah we do. Jesse can do whatever, wherever, whenever.

End of.

I don’t want to say goodbye, so I won’t. I know I’ll read these over and over again. Plus, Jesse is a way of life, so he’ll never be gone, not really.

Jodi, this was book was everything 🫶🏼

⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
This is the third book in the This Man series from Jesse's POV.

I’m usually not a fan of books from a different POV because often they don’t add much to the original story. However, we do see meaningful additions in this book.

Jesse’s POV is the perfect way to discover what happened in his past and to better grasp his relationship with John and Sarah.
His memories are crucial to understand his behavior and motivations.
Also, his internal dialogues make some scenes particularly hilarious. For instance, his relationship with Ava's mother is even funnier from Jesse's perspective.

Some of my favorite scenes from Jesse's POV are:
- the one with the pregnancy tests
- the ones with Rosie and Jake
- the marriage

This is a very good read. Highly recommended for the fans of the Lord because it provides some meaningful insights about Jesse’s behavior and some hilarious inner dialogues.

'Having our heads in the clouds will forever have a whole new meaning thanks to Jodi giving us the gift that was Jesse and Ava. Our time with them in their world, made by a wonderful woman, is something I'd do a million times over and cherish more every single time. We met the Lord, his lady, and it's time to sing their praises one final time and end it with one hell of an amen!' - The British Bibliophile

Welcome back, one and all, to what is our last trip with Jesse and Ava. Destination? Happily Ever After.

This Woman Forever is the third and final instalment in the unforgettable books within the This Man - The Story from Jesse , based on the original trilogy set in Ava's POV where we see the events through the eyes of our Lord of the Manor. We felt the Jesse's power through Ava's POV in what we thought was its rawest form, but we were so wrong. For what was to come not only in these books but the audiobooks narrated by a man equally as blindingly dazzling, Mr Shane East, what fools we were to think we'd seen the Jesse Ward effect in full force. Never have I been more glad to be proven wrong, and shown as such through this POV series.

Hang onto those headboards, we're getting one big Holy F**k S3x from our Lord.

I said in my review for With This Woman that I hadn't seen such a reception to two book characters in my time as a reader, than I have with Jesse Ward and Ava O'shea/Ward. I'm echoing that here again with this book. In fact, it has been a huge resurgence of interest with the first book's release in Jesse's POV, This Woman . For those of us who were not around at the time of the original release of This Man , we got too see this skyrocketing interest first-hand and as a reader who has long since fallen head-over-pages for the author and her work, it was humbling to see people just as beloved by this who have been here from the start, as it has been introducing new readers along the way.

It's almost impossible to believe we've lived in a world without Jesse and Ava, but we did and with this release comes the closing of the door to that world. We have been treated to a multitude of things since the release of This Man for those who followed from the start or in my case, eight years after, all spearheaded by a trooper of a woman. Jodi Ellen Malpas. Authors give their all to everything they do and from what we've seen of her hours of work, dedication to this series and everything that has come from it? The fruits of her labour will be reaping themselves for years to come. Seeing new readers discover Jesse and Ava through either POV, is going to be such fun to watch and see their own love for them grow.

This POV adventure started right back where Jesse & Ava's story began with This Woman , the re-telling of events that happened in This Man , though this time through the eyes of The Lord of the Manor, Jesse Ward. Jodi managed to do the impossible and make us feel like we were going at this book with fresh eyes, as if we had never even read their story before. Which is true for some, but still. Perhaps one of the most complex, complicated and difficult characters on the page, Jesse Ward's POV gave us an insight into the brutal, the raw, the heartbreaking, something we didn't get to see first-hand from his account in Ava's POV books. To the fullest degree, anyway. We were left just as battered and bruised by this book's ending as was Jesse--if you know, you know. Time for round two!

Girthier than its predecessor, With This Woman picks up the baton and continued to run hell-for-leather, and even further still. Far from being the 'saggy middle' story of a trilogy, With This Woman was the redemption, mainly for Jesse, after what had happened previously. As expected though, the course of true love never did run smooth. Neither Ava or Jesse could catch a break or a moment's peace, but the chaos of their world--including their relationship--is one of the things we love most about this book and them. Nothing is easy, nothing is simple. They had to work for everything and continue fighting even when, like the Black Knight from Monty Python, it felt like all of their limbs were slowly being cut off one by one. Tis a flesh wound, and all that. Which is exactly what it was for Miss O'Shea and Mr Ward. Mere flesh wounds that they could deal with, patch themselves up and move on. A good thing too, as they are about to go a third and final round.

This Woman Forever was to be Ava and Jesse's toughest test yet. Neither of them were getting off lightly in any department, be it bosses, exes or anything else that could have possibly been put in their paths. There was barely a moment to breathe or be alone, for the two of them, but we know our Jesse. Determined as could be in every definition and meaning of the word, he's going to achieve this no matter the cost and who complains about it (ahem, Elizabeth, ahem). Ava is his happily ever after, his future, his everything. Securing her as his permanently, keeping her safe and as close to him as he possibly can, he's going to have to learn to share his toys, so to speak, because Ava is impossible not to love and its clear that she is loved by many both in her world and his own. Though not everyone is happy about their worlds and lives merging. United they stand, Ava and Jesse along with Sam, Drew, Kate and even Big John, all band together to threaten all whom would threaten those who they care about and those who they love. But, will there be a price paid or victory bells rung aloud? There's only one way to find out.

Starting out reading this book, I was prepared that this was the end of the road. Did that spoil things for me? No. Its very rare to find a reader that is okay with a series as beloved as this one coming to an end, but it just feels right to end things here with This Woman Forever . Since we've already seen their life a little ways into the future with a prior release, With This Man , there's no where else for the series to go, other than to see life with the kids when they themselves are a little bit older. Some call has been made for a second generation series with the children as the main characters, but Jodi has wrung everything that is good, brilliant and bloody fabulous out and has poured it into every page of this book and POV series. It's time for a new set of alpha men and women to be born into our bookish world, and there was no better way to say a fond farewell to Jesse, Ava and the gang than with what has been carefully crafted here. When I say this series goes out with a bang, I mean it in the many ways that Jesse has come to name the various ways he and Ava need to come together. Literally.

The timing of finishing this book teamed up perfectly with the accidental early release of the audiobook adaptation, narrated by the only man on the planet who can carry the weight of the almighty Jesse Ward on his shoulders, Mr. Shane East. Hopping straight from the ebook ARC to the audiobook was THE best decision, because at this point I was still on the happiest of highs from how the book ended, and immediately the crooning voice of our own, real-life audio Lord carried me aloft once more. Whoever appeased the audiobook gods the day he was chosen to be our in-ear Jesse? Thank you. All at East House Productions, Jodi and Shane should hold their heads high with how phenomenal it has been listening to Jodi's words being brought to life with the perfect balance of emotive performance, pride in the work being read, and the feel of the author and her words coming through Shane's voice. Hearing her through him? It's more than a job well done, as I don't think anyone could even come as close to narratable perfection as with the writing of Jodi Ellen Malpas and the narration by Shane East. Not all of us will get our very own real-life Jesse, but this here narration has been the next best thing, having 60+ hours of nothing but Shane as Jesse in my ears? Time. Well. Spent.

From 'always in lace', 'mouth', countless jars of peanut butter, s3x of all kinds, Jesse's trampling, Ava's trampling, calla lilies, Manor mayhem, knickers being twisted, f**ks flying about the place, to the '3...2...1... Zero, baby!', This Woman Forever brings to an end perfectly the series that stands out among the many of its type that have been written as the years have gone by. It holds its own and continues to run where others are still trying to walk. Personally, I don't think this series slowed down enough to downgrade to a walk, because that is not the speed neither Jesse, Ava or any of the others know how to operate under. Eventually, sure, things do calm down, but it's one hell of a journey and a series of unfortunate--or fortunate--events to get there.

Jesse's transformation from where we first met him to where things finish off by the end of the last page here, is nothing short of extraordinary. For someone who looked like he was never going to stop who he was as a person or the lifestyle he lead prior to meeting Ava, the change is a much welcome one realised by both us readers and Jesse as a character, seen on the page when he realises this himself. Who he was before was far from a bad person, simply someone so misunderstood that the real him was never given a chance to show himself. Until Ava came along. She was the missing piece for this to happen and by the end, we see him as who he was meant to be all along. A happy, content, free soul enjoying the life he was meant to have designed by the fates and perhaps, two heavenly angels.

By the time I had turned the last page, the feeling of contentment had long-since set in and it couldn't have been more prominent than how Jodi wrapped things up. As I was reading it, I imagined it as a 'fade to white' moment, seeing the scene play out before me as it were a scene in a movie rather than just text on a page. Many happy tears were shed reading this moment between Jesse, Ava and their children. Everything that has ever been in both POVs led up to this moment, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect, happy, cloud-nine moment of an ending for a two more deserving characters.

Jodi, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me once more to count myself as a very proud reader of your work and supporter of yourself as a person. Everything that you've put into this book and series has not gone unnoticed, and we can't be more grateful that this literary world and its inhabitants were written for us to show endless love to and for. The chapter may now be closing on Jesse and Ava, but they will be there for us when we need them. Again. Because they have been here for many of us as not only comfort characters, but companions through both the good and the bad when we didn't have anyone in real life to fall into the arms of. Jesse and Ava were there to catch us, and I hope that despite us all moving onto whatever you create next, they'll be there to catch the next group of readers who need them next.

Jesse, Ava, Kate, Sam, Drew, Big John & the gang, thank you for everything.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final call for boarding Central Jesse Cloud Nine, stopping at Ava Cloud Nine. 3...1...1...Zero, baby.

Once again Jodi has given us a complicated but delicious masterpiece with This Woman Forever. It’s the 3rd book in Jesse’s POV and should not be read as a standalone. Jodi wrote a moving and completely captivating side of Jesse for this one. I thought I had gotten it all before, but boy was I wrong. I knew this side of Jesse was possible, but to see it written out and listen to it on audio was just so emotional. This book was so much more than I expected. The complexity, and intricacies that are Jesse Ward continue to blow my mind. Honestly, it was genius. I can only imagine how hard it was for JEM to write it because this one was a rough one. Oh, the last 20 percent of the book…. Be ready.
From the beginning we see Jesse for whom he really is, but I also love the extra vulnerability that he shows in this book. I love the alpha, loving and softer side of Jessie we see. But, don’t worry he is still super raw, complex, unhinged, consuming, and all encompassing. He’s struggling with his demons, insecurities , the guilt, pain from his past and the ghosts still he runs from. We see flashbacks and interactions with his loved ones from his past, and some not so loved ones. Some of the truths we learned from his POV, wow! His past is still leaving him apprehensive of opening up to Ava, but she continues to show him in this version that she’s the one for him. He met his match with her. IMO she continues to show her strength in being able to love a broken man like Jesse. The messages on the wall, perfect example. They truly saved and healed each other. 🥹🥹 I saw Jessie continue to grow, learn, have hope, and fill himself with love in this book. He continues to strive to be a better man, and change his past for the best possible future. Loved that we got see more of his relationships with Kathy, John, Drew, Sam and his family. Of course, JEM doesn’t leave out the sassiness, the spice, angst, plot twist, or vendettas in this one. I will say, I read and listened to the audiobook. Shane East doesn’t disappoint, his devotion to this character came through so hard. Especially in the last 20 percent of the book. At the same token I couldn’t stop getting trampled by Shane, JEM and Jesse MF Ward. Amazing read and listen. I’m sad to see this story end. But, if you haven’t read With This Man book 4 in the This Man Series it’s technically the next book and it’s already in Jesse’s POV.

My oh my! Many years ago when I originally fell in love with the Lord of the Manor, Jesse Ward, I knew that there would be nobody like him. And years later, I can attest that there has been no one. We heard the story from Ava's POV and now we get Jesse's.

This Woman Forever is the 3rd and final book from Jesse's POV and it's a doozy. Filled with a lot of sex and Jesse doing his Jesse things to keep Ava by his side has him keeping secrets, but they are slowly coming loose. Will Ava stick by him? Will his secrets have her running?

Well, if you've read this series from Ava's POV, you know the answers to those questions. But now we are getting Jesse in all his crazy, toxic glory. He may be a grown a$$ man nearing 40, but because of his past, he's still a kid that just wants to be loved even after making mistake after mistake in which he always holds himself responsible. In this final book we pick up right where book 2 left off. Whereas the first 2 books were about getting Ava and Jesse together, the third is keeping them together. So this one was a little more sweet and emotional and obviously filled with all the physical love these two could throw at one another. There's also answers to who and what's been keeping them apart and it ends up bringing truths out of Jesse and Ava standing by her man.

This book and the third book from Ava's POV were my favorites. We really get to see and feel how Jesse's past altered who he was and you understand his ways with Ava, no matter how neurotic he seems. I loved the bit of humor we got which included the ghosts of Jesse's past, and the friendships he had with Drew and Sam when he thought no one cared. Those men shined. But you know who I really loved getting from Jesse's story? John. He was always this side character that would do anything for Jesse, but he was also a standout. I love him and how he would put Jesse in his place. The bromance between those guys was much more evident and entertaining in this book and I loved that. It added that extra bit of family that Jesse really needed.

This Woman Forever wraps up this series nicely and gives us answers to everything we had from the previous books. It's a beast of a book that probably could've been edited down a bit, but we would have missed so much if anything was taken out. This is a big story of an intense love that isn't always pretty and you could question Jesse and his antics, but in the end, it's an epic romance. Enjoy the ride and all it's trampling glory.

Jesse is probably the most challenging male character I have ever come across. However despite his possessive, demanding and challenging ways, I can’t help but fall for him. Deep down I know he’s doing everything out of passion, care and love for the woman who brings him back to life.

For those who read the story in Ava’s POV, you know how the story goes. That said, Jodi gave us so much more than just a retelling from Jesse’s POV. She gave us the context, the answers and the missing pieces we had been yearning for.

While Jesse got Ava back, he still struggled with his past and it was eating at him. It was heartbreaking to see him go through those emotions. Guilt, regret, pain. He blamed himself for everything that had happened and he couldn’t risk Ava finding out his darkest secrets and leaving him again. It would ruin him, so he decided to keep some parts from her. Jodi did an amazing job to really portray his fear, his insecurity and vulnerability in this one and I empathise with him even more.

After all this time, Jesse was still searching for redemption. He is a work in progress, yet he is a better man when he is with her. He is learning to communicate, to compromise. The Manor no longer serves him purpose because he has find his haven, in Ava. His peace, his home, his love.

What he doesn’t realise is the amount and extent of love Ava has for him. Despite all his broken and jagged pieces, she loves him unconditionally. It’s difficult for him to grasp the concept because he has lost so much but it finally got through to him. I couldn’t tell you how glad I was to see him realise he deserves love.

This Woman Forever is the last and final instalment of the series written in Jesse’s POV. I can’t believe we are bidding farewell to the Lord and his Lady again, for one last time. Hand on my heart, this is one of the most epic love stories of all time and I urge everyone to go read it because it would be a shame to miss something so beautiful.

‘This is it. This is the moment I’ve been praying for. Dreaming for. The moment I never thought could be mine.’

Reading this book took me the longest time I’ve ever taken to read a Jodi book. The reason. Because it was the final goodbye. I felt like I was back in 2013 again, when I read This Man Confessed. It was the final time.

Reading this series via Jesse’s POV has been such an eye opener. What goes through this man’s head, why he behaves the way he does when he finds Ava, all comes to the surface and I just fell in love with him all over. The heartbreak this man has endured from his teenage years. The people that he loved so much who were brutally taken away from him. The only way he was able to get through life was through total destruction. The Manor and what happened there was his only salvation, but slowly it was destroying him, until that one day he meets Ava.

Having read both series, I definitely preferred the POV from Jesse and in his eyes we see more about life at the Manor, how Ava totally transformed his way of thinking, how to better himself, how to make amends.

‘Because she made me brave. She brought me to life. She made a man worthy of love. She made this man.’

I also loved that we read more scenes with him and John and of course his best mates Sam and Drew. Through Jesse’s POV we actually get Kate and Sam’s love story and what happens with Drew, so I know a lot of readers will be so happy with this final book. It ties everything together. Jesse finally gets his second chance and I’m all here for it.

‘I deserve to be happy. I think I’m slowly getting my head around that.’

Oh you do Jesse, and I’m so glad I’ve been around to see you finally happy in Paradise with your Ava. I hope you’re happy there.

This is so much more than a re-telling. If JEM had written the This Man series as a dual POV, I don’t think we would have gotten the impact that we did through Jesse’s eyes.

This Woman Forever brings us the conclusion to Jesse and Ava’s passionate love affair and we get to see the fragile and broken pieces of Jesse finally fall back into place and glued back together, through Love, Patience, and Acceptance. Now only from the people who love him, but from The Lord himself.

I absolutely adored the moments when he spoke to his brother and little girl. How they reached out to him when they knew he needed them most. They truly were his guiding light and Ava his beacon.

Normally books don’t really make me cry, but I feel like I know these people. I know this world and their story. So re-living it through Jesse and getting a peak behind the chaotic, possessive, obsessive, Lord of the Manor was just something else entirely. Even when you know what is going to happen (if you read the original series) you are still learning something new about Jesse and why he is the way he is.

Even though it seems like the end of an era, and it is truly difficult to say goodbye to Jesse Ward, my number one Alpha Male, JEM gave him an ending worthy of The Lord. And he absolutely deserves it. End of.

Thank you JEM for allowing us inside not only your beautiful mind but inside the mind of Jesse. It made me fall in love with him even more. YOUR WORK HERE IS DONE 🩶☁️9️⃣

Simply the best!!
Jesse Ward will own my heart forever EVER!
This Woman Forever was the perfect conclusion to this outstanding trilogy!
One stunning read to remember!

The story of the Lord of the Manor and Ava just keeps you enthralled as you are swept along. It's so typical of JEM’s stories it's hard to put down.
It was utterly heartbreaking and uplifting . . . He loves Ava more than words can express, reading the story from his point of view enables the reader to understand that Ava is more than love of his life- she is healing and hope at the same time for The Lord of the Manor.

“If I have her, I’m a better man. If I have her, there can be only light. If I have her, my past will heal and rest.”

Some scenes truly broke my heart into pieces but JEM gently put it back together.

While I was pleased with the conclusion of this trilogy and the way it wrapped up the characters’ journeys, the series as a whole was frustrating. Jesse Ward is a controlling, secretive character who repeatedly hides parts of his past from Ava, his wife. Only after a tragedy does he finally open up and tell her everything. I lost count of how many times I found myself yelling at the book in frustration, urging him to just be honest. Instead, he constantly uses intimacy to distract and control her.

That said, I appreciated Ava’s character growth and enjoyed seeing her finally stand up to him in their relationship.

I have been ugly crying for an hour after finishing this book. The This Man/This Woman series will always be in my top 5 and Jesse Ward will always be my #1 book husband. Jodi Ellen Malpas deserves all of the praise. I could not have asked for a better conclusion to his story. (I’ll write a more in depth review once I stop crying)

Now, I need to pretend I’m going to sleep, while trying to come to terms with this being the last book. Spoiler alert: I’ll be crying myself to sleep.

absolutely adored Jesse's POV and I'm a wee bit sad it's over now

Jodi Ellen Malpas created something special when she wrote this man, but writing the series This Woman she turns it into a phenomenal masterpiece.
Jesse Ward has always been a favourite and who knew we could love this man any more, showcasing how genius she is, going inside Wards mind is epic, It’s an absolute rollercoaster and totally consuming. I really am obsessed more than ever with this over protective and possessive, infuriating at times, neurotic but tender, deeply loving, scorching hot, broken guilt ridden Man.

This woman forever brings us to the end of Jesse and Ava’s story and it’s whopper to savour, All his thoughts, his past and his friendships. He exposes everything and then some, the layers are really peeled back and JEM delves deeper than the mariana trench! it’s mind blowing.

It’s the story we all thought we knew and i’ve loved following Jesse this time but the this last book really felt like a new story to us despite knowing the plot. His whereabouts the times he isn’t with Ava is exciting. Jake and Rosies presence really touches you, their his sounding board and as much as it’s packed with emotion it still brings some humour, We knew he was cocky but he’s comical too . Hes got quite the sense of humour and he, Drew and Sam bring the banter. Then it’s pure emotions that hit you through his own torment, guilt and turmoil, his fears of Ava’s reactions to the truths he’s hiding. The ordeals of his past shatter your heart. You’re with him on his highs of pure bliss and you’re there through his lows. You feel everything. Contentment, peace, butterflies, warm, dread, knots then happiness.

Jesse and Ava’s love is different, it’s a rare one, it’s absolutely unique. It’s erotic, it’s explosive and it’s full on passion. It’s earth shattering love!

Enjoy every bit and detail, The wedding, the countdowns and reprimands, jealousy and trampling, all the lace and all the love making wether it’s hard or soft , being in paradise, on cloud 9, and deeply in love. Pregnancy and Babies, Departures and Reunions.

So the end of an era, Thank you Jodi for creating Jesse in the first place and a bigger gratitude for re visiting their life and bringing him to us a second time but even better than before. I can only imagine being inside his mind was testing at times but look what you have achieved ? You’ve took Jesse and Ava’s story from incredible to a masterpiece!
