If I hadn't been told the characters are 30 (h) and 42 (H), I would've never believed it.
I give it 2 stars because I did finish.
But, boy oh boy, if it wasn't a struggle. *insert multiple eyerolls here
I srsly don't know what happened to Hope Ford. I used to love her books. Now it's just one mess after another.
The characters are annoying, the plot is barely there, the constant preaching on fat positivity, I mean WTF?
There are so many authors who prove that just because it's a novelette, it doesn't mean it has to be deprived of depth. And Ford used to be like this.
I just don't understand what happened here.

It would have been good if there was more build up, it was way too rushed in my opinion. I know these books are usually just for the sex scenes, but even those were unsubstantial. 2 stars because I like the idea, though.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Maddie has been in love with her grumpy neighbor and her brother Elliot’s best friend Rhett for ten years. Rhett thinks he’s to old for her and doesn’t allow himself to think about her that way.
Elliot decides to do a bit of matchmaking, when he has to leave town for a cattlemen’s conference he asks Rhett to keep an eye on Maddie while she goes to the bar in town for an event. Her ex-fiancé didn’t take their breakup well and he’s worried for her safety. Maddie doesn’t need a babysitter, especially Rhett but he drives her to the bar nevertheless. When her ex shows up there is a bit of a confrontation but Rhett takes care of it. When he drops Maddie off they kiss but he leaves after.
Maddie needed a break goes to the family cabin on the north side of their property, worried about her Elliot tells Rhett. He goes to her because there is a terrible snow storm coming and he worried about her being up there alone. The storm hits and they are stranded. Maddie decides to shoot her shot with Rhett and they agree to one night together. Their sexy times are hot. One day turns into two days and again more sexy times. When the storm clears up they head back to the main house, knowing their time is up Maddie is sad but plays it cool. Things are a bit awkward and Rhett almost leaves angry that Maddie is acting like nothing happened when he feels changed by their being together. When he foolishly asks for one more night instead of forever she says no. He thinks it’s cause he’s to old for her but she said no to protect herself from further heartbreak.
When Elliot returns she tells him she would like to travel for a few months. He wonders what happened between her and Rhett but she reassures him it’s a her thing. When Rhett comes by to see him he tells Rhett Maddie is leaving the ranch and asks him what he did to make her sad. Rhett confesses to loving her but thinking he’s not good enough for her. Elliot tells him he needs to get Maddie back. Rhett panics when he thinks Maddie has already left the ranch. She’s only gone back to their cabin to rest and plan for her trip. Rhett rushes up there and confesses his love. I love yous all around and they get snowed in again.
Epilogue six months later with them married and expecting their first baby.
I hope Elliot gets a book.

She wanted to stay on the ranch forever but wants to move on if she does but her brother knocks some sense into his friend and he goes to display his love and they talk and it’s all good and man is it hottt. Six months later she is heavily preggers and married. It’s ELLIOT’s BOOK NEXT I CANT WAIT.

This is a quick read with a good storyline and all the good feels. Rhett is Elliot and his sister, Maddie’s next door rancher-neighbor and his best friend. Maddie has had a crush on Rhett for 10 years but he is always grumpy and never seems to notice her. When Elliot goes to a conference for a week, he is upset that Maddie will be going to a bridal shower in town at a bar. Her ex-fiancé Wes might be there and he’s concerned he will bother Maddie. Rhett volunteers to go to town and make sure she isn’t t bothered by Wes. Maddie is furious, she’s 30 yrs old and does t need a babysitter! When a Cowboy asks her to dance, he is giving him the I eye. He does kiss her when he drops her off, but won’t take it any further which hurts Maddie’s feelings. When Elliot calls and tells Rhett that Maddie has gone up the north side of the ranch and plans to stay at the cabin, he is outraged. There’s a bigs snow storm taking place. He goes to the cabin to bring her back but they get stranded. Loved the well developed characters and their story.

This was an amazing book! Maddie and her brother, Elliott, run a ranch together. Elliott’s best friend is Rhett. He is 10 years older than Maddie but that doesn’t stop her from loving him for years. Rhett is oblivious to her until Elliott points it out to him thinking that Rhett already knew.
While Elliott is away, he has tasked Rhett with taking care of Maddie with includes keeping her ex away from her. Up until then, Rhett didn’t realize that he had feelings for Maddie as well. He’s afraid to admit his feelings because he feels that Maddie deserves better. There is some forced proximity that Maddie arranges along with some misunderstandings.
This author does such a fantastic job of bringing the likable characters together. They were well developed and the secondary characters were great too!
This is definitely a must read!.

Stranded with a Grumpy Cowboy is a short and steamy, OTT, age-gap, curvy girl gets her brother's best friend romance. Maddie is a 30 year old sassy, curvy rancher. Rhett is her hunky, grumpy, 42 year old cowboy neighbor and her older brother's best friend. Maddie has been in love with Rhett for years but thinks he only sees her as a little sister. But when her brother is out of town and they spend some time together, she realizes he has feelings for her, too. He keeps pushing her away, but she's not having it. When they end up stranded together in a snowstorm, it gets hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥. But what happens when the storm is over? This couple had crazy hot chemistry. I wanted to slap sense into both of them at times to just communicate. After a bit of angst, though, we get a very happy ending. I really loved this couple.

She’s definitely not my favorite female character—she’s slow to act, and when she finally makes a decision, she just leaves without talking to him. Again, the same issue: everything falls apart due to a lack of communication.
Rhett was foolish too. Instead of telling her he wanted her forever, he asked for just *one more night*, and that’s what hurt Maddie even more.
In the end, as always, it was the brother who fixed everything.
A super short book that’s great for a quick and enjoyable read.

I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with explicit romance that is sizzling with steamy passion, lust, desire, and spice that will have readers' toes curling. The story is about Maddie and Rhett, She is thirty years old, lives on the family ranch that she and her brother own and run, and broke off an engagement with an idiot of a man. He is forty-two years old, widowed for five years, and lives on the next ranch over which he inherited. Rhett also just so happens to be Maddie's brothers best friend. So things are about to get complicated when her brother is away, Rhett is on overprotective duty, a snowstorm is coming and there is a cabin on the other side of the ranch. Let's just say that these two agree to just on night that turns into two. But can it turn into forever when they leave "their cabin"?

A good book
Enjoyed reading Maddie and Rhett's love story. She has been in love with Rhett for a long time but he's been so stoic. Her brother Elliott is traveling to Las Vegas for a cattle man's convention and asks Rhett to keep an eye on her and that she's in love with him. Enter a snowstorm, her going to the cabin in the woods and Elliott telling Rhett where she is. Rhett's now worried about her. Now if you have ever been caught and/or stranded in a blizzard, something always happens. Read their tale of love. On a side note, I would be interested to see what Elliott gets up to at his covention...that's another thing that can get a little wild. It's a good book. Written by Cindy :)

Enter a snowstorm, her going to the cabin in the woods and Elliott telling Rhett where she is. Rhett's now worried about her. Now if you have ever been caught and/or stranded in a blizzard, something always happens. Read their tale of love. On a side note, I would be interested to see what Elliott gets up to at his covention...that's another thing that can get a little wild. It's a good book. Written by Cindy :)

It was just ok.
119 pages so quick, easy read.
I wouldn't say Rhett was a Grumpy Cowboy. Just quiet.
I was confused at first because the author never mentioned that he liked Maddie in secret. Only that Maddie had been in love with him since he moved in.
But then, out of nowhere, he said he loved her for ages.
There was too much back and forth and confusing internal thoughts that didn't move to reality.
There needed more drama like her ex came back.
Or a tie into the friends wedding, since it opened with her attending her friends hens party but then the wedding was never brought up.
If this story was longer with some more depth, it could have been great. But unfortunately, it was just meh, ok.

She s broken hearted that their time is over so she tells her brother she wants to travel and when Rhett finds out she wants to leave he is upset because he wants forever even if he is much older and owns a rundown ranch. I loved Maddie’s spunk and how she was a true rancher. While she was nervous around Rhett, she also wasn’t afraid to go after what she wanted when it came down to it. She was determined to prove to Rhett that he was enough for her. That he didn’t need to be anyone other than himself.
I loved their time in the cabin together and honestly Maddie shocked me a little, I didn’t know she had a little freak in her.

December 13, 2023I loved Stranded with a Grumpy Cowboy. Maddie has loved Rhett for year but she’s decided it’s time to move on. He doesn’t feel the same and she needs to let him go. Rhett said he would look after Maddie while her brother is out of town. He knew it was a bad idea but now he’s going ti have just one night with her except they get snowed in. He needs to let her find someone better. This is a short and sweet story, and I loved the characters. Grumpy cowboys are always the best once they find love, they turn all alpha and posessive. I would definitely recommend this book.

This is a delightful, fun journey between Rhett and Maddie. You will fall in love with them. Rhett is a rancher who lives next door to Maddie who ranches with her brother. Maddie has a huge crush on Rhett! She thinks that he doesn’t notice her. But Rhett does notice Maddie. He is grumpy because he has hidden feelings for her too. Neither one knows about the other’s feelings. It gives you some spice, spunk and sass. It also has a sexy, passionate, loving story. I really enjoyed the story it was a great read!.
