The drama continues in this explosive finale! After discovering that she’s carrying Idir’s child, Natori wants nothing more than to put her past with Jabari behind her and move on. However, it might not be as easy as she thinks. She and Idir soon realize Jabari isn’t the only foe they have to worry about.
I love how Tori's new job gave her confidence, knowing she was needed and valued because Jabari never gave her that. He treated her like his property. Miserable and jealous ole Rue thought she was doing something when Jabari moved her into the house he shared with Tori. Tori said that all she was a baby sitter.I love how Idri went over to Jabari's and delivered the divorce papers on Tori's behalf. Nova wanted all the smoke from her ex-mother-law and the mama who injured her son and even Cassandra. Javier is with the ish too. Jonathan and Jabari are mama's boys. In their mama's eyes they couldn't do wrong.Nate knew he dead wrong dealing with Jabari and his crazy wife too. It was the blind leading the blind. Petra knew she was the forbidden fruit and Jabari just had to taste it. Kaleb was all depressed about his leg and the season, the only thing that made feel better is the anime.Adrian saved Tori. Adrian and Jamel are hitmen. I never saw that coming. So happy for him and Tori on their children and his plan work. He shouldn't feel guilty about shooting Nate, he bought that all on himself. Nova and Javier has a daughter. I'm looking forward to reading about Jamel, Shonda and Rhea and Adrian. She should have how she really feels.
LaKeisha maintains the interesting storytelling from "I Left a Lame N*gga for a Millionaire Boss" book 1. This time the story does match the title. In this book Natori actually begins a relationship with Idir.
The spelling errors are still there and that's bothersome for an avid reader, like me. I didn't get any sexual chemistry from Javier and Nova, so I'm not sure why that story was even told. Wish we could've seen more between Jabari and Rue, as their frustrations with Natori and Idir were wayyy more probable and belivable than Nate and Miranda.
Actual rating: 3.5 stars. • The Nate-Jabari connection is weak. • I hate the way things ended with Rhea and Adrian, but I'm not so sold on their story that I want to read more. Would've preferred to learn about them alongside Natori and Idir instead of Nova and Javier, or even Monte and Annette because that was ridiculous.

After everything that Natori had gone through she finally bossed up and ended up with the love she deserved all along with Idir. Idir was that ni**a the plan he set forth to rid Natori of Jabari was exactly the karma he deserved. The fact that his brother and wife were apart of the scheme with Jabari was unbelievable and I am glad they got their karma as well. Nova was her sisters keeper she had her back to the fullest even though she has problems of her own. Nova meeting Javier and starting a friendship that turned into so much more was a blessing in disguise for them both. I absolutely loved them together. Oh and Javier had a little hood in him too it didn’t go over my head that he was apart of the plan Idir put together to get at Jabari. There was so much more going on in this series that I am not going to talk about because I don’t want to spoil it for everyone else but I do look forward to hear more from Rhea, Adrian, Shonda and Jamel they all have some unfinished business.
I really enjoyed this book this series. Chile all the secrets came out in this book. Miranda and Nate smh you got family who’s willing to help but clearly they both snapped. Jabari and Rue got a hard dose of karma cause I wasn’t ready for that secret or the fact in Mexico fighting for his life 🤣🤣 that was much better than killing him. Sheesh Petra got that dose of confessions of a marriage counselor karma all because she ain’t wanna hold her man down 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. I knew something was up with Cassandra but sheesh the sibling hate throughout this series was crazzyyy 🤯. This series all about love who loves you and whatever you put out in the world you get back times 10. I’m glad everyone somewhat got their happily ever after causewhat’s up with Shondra and Rhea stories?! Do Jamel finally call that number and do Rhea finally let a man love her properly.
She definitely brought the drama with this finale and I loved every bit of it. I loved me some Idris, he had me at the premiere. I wish Rue had got to stick around because she definitely deserved to see Toro live out her best life. I didn't like the fact of how her being pregnant at the end wasn't discussed or how Petra was caught in the crossfire of a situation Idris got her involved in was touched on either. I'm assuming their mom was an identical twin if they felt they could just do a switcheroo and the girls wouldn't notice but was confusing to me is how did they not recognize who she was when they saw her?? I took off a star due to the errors with characters names being off, even on the promotion for the next book it's wrong. First read by this author and will definitely be reading again
There were a few grammatical errors but it didn’t take away from the story. This was a crazy ride. I loved that Tori grew a backbone. Idir loved everything about her. I get what Petra and Rue did was dirty but they didn’t have to go out that way. Petra should have left Rue out of it especially since she was pregnant. Jabari def got what he deserved and more. Nate and his wife at the end smdh is all I got to say. Overall this was a great book. I’m an avid anime and manga fan myself so this was a beautiful and different take on black love. Not all black men gotta be rich drug dealers 🙄
Book 2 unleashed a lot of drama. A lot of the drama I didn’t see coming. Let’s start with Nate not knowing his brother Jamel was the hit man, who he hired to unalive their other brother Idir. It was smart that Adrian & Jamel wore the mask & voice distorting devices. No face. No case. Melinda’s cancer was a wild card. Definitely didn’t see that coming. Nate & Jabari in cahoots. Cassandra having a twin sister, Annette, who was actually Nova & Natori’s mother, not Cassandra. Why was Rhea so unhappy on her big day? Why did Natori & Nova’s dad divorce his wife? Looking forward to reading about Shonda, Jamel, Adrian, & Rhea in the next book to find out!
This book was messy! Natori is trying to figure out how did she pop up pregnant. Cassandra is a dumb broad that would willing give her “daughter” over to danger. Jabari is in fact a lame. Rue is a jealous wench that tried to one up Natori, but found out envy only leads you to death. Nate and Marainda find out that plotting on family gets you handled by the family. Javier got the last laugh on Vida because he has Nova now who caters to him and loves him. Monte is happy now with his real love, Annette. And my goodness, twins run in the family!
I’m so interested in seeing if Adrian ever gets Rhea and if Jamel shows his true self to Shonda.
NaTori and Idir grew closer to each other as she found out she was pregnant. He was in love and promised to protect her. He was determined to get with Jabari for everything you he did to harm Tori! Little did they know they were being plotted on behind their backs. Jabari wanted revenge and Rue thought she was finally getting her dream until it turned into a nightmare. Nova and Javier were getting closer and love was on the horizon. Sometimes the enemy is closer than you think. A great read!
Wait I’m confused I thought rue died I’m glad tori got her life back and someone who loves everything about her but I didn’t see Nate turning on his brother all because of jealousy and his wife wow just crazy thanks again for giving us another banger keep them coming I can’t wait to see what happens next
This book was so good. I can't believe Nate and Melinda would stoop that low to betray their own family. I was so happy for Javier and Nova. Her kids were funny. Then my favorite couple Idir and Natori, were so cute together. I wish Rhea would have let her guard down. I guess we will see in the next installment. Great job Lakeisha boo!!
Very relatable characters. Believable story lines. I enjoyed it so much. Nova is my girl. Idir is definitely the Boss. Natori went through so much at the hands of Jabari. She grew up and became stronger and independent. Love can break you or heal you. Just be careful what you wish for. Great read!
This is my first time reading any of this author's work, and I can honestly say I'm so happy I decided to read it. Anyone who's on the fence about reading it, please put all your doubts to the side and read it. You won't be disappointed at all
Jabari karma was deadly I wouldn't of thought of that. Rue you should never want to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. I liked that Javier family welcomed Nova. Natori and Idir made a good match
I’m glad that Nori and Nova got their men in the end. Some true bosses at that. It’s sad how Rue and Jabari went out. Why can’t people understand that Karma is real? Can’t wait for the next series.
Lakeisha did an excellent job with the wrap up of this duo! Idir was a boss who stole Natori's heart with a quickness! In part two, there were twists and turns that you never saw coming!
These 2 books was awesome. I could not put it down. The stories and characters was a definite hit. I don't know what characters to talk about so I gonna say that Novi and Nova is my shero's, especially Novi. Great job LaKeisha. Great job 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Jabari got exactly what he deserved good ice cold karma 😁. Idir made sure to honor his word to Natori. She definitely made the right choice. Javier and Nova 🥰 their exes mistakes led them to happiness. I was surprised at Nate & Miranda smh
The story had a beautiful ending! The ones who deserve what faith had in store for them got it tenfold. Natori was amazing and I loved to see Nova and Javier together as well.
I’m happy for Natori and Nova. I’m really interested in Rhea’s story. I like Idir for Nova and I wouldn’t be so surprise if the next book there pregnant again.
