Maximillian Vaughn: Once I saw Marnie Long, a sassy, sultry, charismatic older woman in a bar, I couldn’t peel my eyes off her. I wanted her. At least, for one night. I’m way too busy with my career these days for anything more. As it turned out, after recently getting burned, Marnie was on the same page as me—all she wanted was one night of fun. I was happy to be of service. What I didn’t expect during our night together, however, was how deeply we connected. And how much I was dying to see her again the next morning.
Marnie Long: After accepting Max’s surprising breakfast invitation the next morning, I was floating on air. But mere minutes later, all hell broke loose, and I had no choice but to bolt out of Max’s place like my hair was on fire. It was such a pity, too. That scorching-hot patent attorney was the best I’ve ever had.
A year later, when I ran into Max at a party, I was a very bad girl and didn’t resist doing that very naughty thing. Now, thanks to my utter lack of willpower and common sense, I’ve risked my horrible secret getting out. Even worse, I’m in danger of catching real feelings for Max. Which I simply can’t do. Obviously. I’m not sure I can control what happens next, though. When I’m with Max, I feel like a runaway train on the verge of hurtling off my tracks.
Who’s Your Daddy? is a binge-worthy single-mother age-gap forced-proximity stand-alone rom-com that will keep you laughing, fanning yourself, and swooning, all the way to Max and Marnie’s happily ever after.

This book was SO MUCH FUN. I love Lauren Rowe's books and I always try to listen to them on audio, because they come across so well in audio format. I'm so glad I listened to this. I had a blast!
Marnie and Max meet one night as strangers, but they have more common threads then they know. They have amazing chemistry and even though it's only planned to be one night, they both want more. Until Marnie finds something out that changes things.
Fast forward a year or so later and Max and Marnie run into each other again. The sparks are still there, but things seem even more complicated than ever. Still, it's obvious that these two belong together. Even if Max is a terminal bachelor.
I loved both Max and Marnie, their parents, and Marnie's adorable daughter, Ripley. This one was fun and heartwarming. It had some great troupes- fake engagement, reverse age gap, single mom.

Available in ebook and with your Kindle Unlimited subscription! The Audiobook stars the INCREDIBLE Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt!!! WOOHOOO!!!! And there are two paperback versions available!
It’s been a minute since I’ve used my #JoyBanner as part of a review and I cannot even begin to describe to you guys the sheer pleasure it was to get lost in this story! I wasn’t even prepared for it, but it grabbed me anyways. I started to read this about 9:45 at night and then could not stop! Time lost all meaning, and I called off work the next day LOL It was a fun and entertaining read from the beginning.
I loved the spark and chemistry that Max and Marnie and Ripley had. To be honest, it’s an incredible full cast of characters that enhanced the story rather than bog it down. While I read, there were so many times my mind would wonder how great this story would be as a movie! Anywho, fun, flirty, sexy, swoony, all the #feels, entertaining and just plain happy … that’s what this story was!
This book was so cute! The twists and turns were a genuine surprise that I hadn’t predicted, so of course I felt like I had to keep reading to figure out if anything I’d predicted would happen!
I think the love that is in this book is truly something from a fairytale. These characters love with their whole beings and I adore that so much.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a good age gap romance!
I was so excited for the release of WHO'S YOUR DADDY - I adored Max and Marnies's story so much that I devoured it in a matter of hours. Maxy-Milly had to work super hard to get me to like him at the beginning, but we got there in the end. I had a huge girl crush on Marnie - she was so confident and I could definitely see myself being friends with her!
I love how Lauren instantly grabs hold of the reader from the first page always. Thank God a female character who isn't in her 20s. Once in a while I want to be able to relate to the characters. You will definitely find yourself laughing out loud at times. This is the first Lauren book that I found it a bit too detailed sometimes.
Second chance at love after a year and a half from when they first met. It's a steamy romance that became a cute love story.
Ripley is so cute I love how she had to had to be next to him instantly and wanted him to be her daddy.
Lauren Rowe delivers another laugh out loud romcom. This reverse age-gap, single mom story was too cute!
Max is career focused only looking for a one-night stand and so is Marni, but they hit it off. That is until she realizes she used to date his estranged dad. Hijinks and hilarity ensue from there, but at its core, it’s about finding love, love not looking like you expect it to, and blended families.
Super cute and steamy! And, as always, great audiobook!
1.5 stars I'd sooner believe in the tooth fairy than the plausibility of the plot and the hero and heroine falling in love with one another.
Their relationship is physical and superficial. I feel embarrassed for the heroine. I don't get what's special about a patent attorney with a huge dong (why do we have so many of them in romance books) and the personality of a cardboard box.
The audiobook narrators seemed to be aware of how ridiculous and trite 70% of the dialogue was - it certainly came through in their performance. For this I give the book 1.5 stars. Had a good laugh.
Oh, and I'll never pick up a book that starts with a one-night stand ever again. They give me hives.
Marnie is a single mom who meets Max on a night out with some friends. I adored Marnie’s daughter Ripley and how much she loved Max. He was very uncomfortable with children at first, but watching the way he slowly melted for her was the sweetest thing. Their relationship was really special. She was quite the chatterbox and at first he always let her do all the talking, but the way that he fell for the little girl and became interested in what she was saying was very sweet.
The romance between Marnie and Max was so fun. They had lots of great chemistry that they were not able to resist. They both helped each other with different career goals, and I loved seeing their friendship grow as well as their romance. They really connected more than just physically.
There were a lot of surprises in this book that made it a crazy ride, but I really appreciated how most of the side characters played such a big part in this story. They really helped propel the story while also giving it heart. This was a really fun standalone from Lauren Rowe!
This was an entertaining story with so many tropes! Max and Marnie are both likeable characters and their chemistry was off the charts. After agreeing to a one night stand, it was clear that both of them were interested in extending that agreement. Then the unimaginable happens and Marnie bolts, leaving Max confused as to why. It's 18 months later when they see each other again and the chemistry between them still burns hot. But there are so many factors for why they can't be together and trying to get around those obstacles leads to a funny turn of events that eventually leads to their happily ever after.
OMGOSH!!! Lauren Rowe and her ability to capture my heart with her amazing words will never cease to amaze me. Where do I start??? Who's Your Daddy? is a brand-new standalone story from Lauren. New characters, new storylines, new plot... New everything.. and I AM HERE FOR IT!! I knew I needed to read this book before I even read the blurb, simply because it's a Lauren Rowe book and everything the woman writes is pure gold... I am here to say that she freaking smashed it! I LOVE Marnie and Max. Their chemistry was off the charts, the bond and the banter with these two had me swooning and smiling from ear to ear. Even though Marine was a fair few years older than Max, they were still so perfect for each other and Marnie's son Ripley and Max's encounters were adorable! I honestly couldn't get enough. I was hooked from page one.
Once again, Lauren Rowe raises the bar high and leaves me in complete awe, utterly spellbound and she has me craving more! Her way with words is phenomenal, and the power behind this story and the characters is captivating and makes me lose myself in the story but that is to be expected when it's a Lauren Rowe story...I love Lauren's words and her ability to tell a story... She never disappoints.
This one was so fun! I had a great time reading this age gap (older woman/ younger man) single mom romance. Marni and Max meet each other at a bar and hit it off. They have a one-night stand only for Marni to realize something (I won't say because it's a spoiler and so fun to learn in the moment) in the morning and leave abruptly. A year later they see each other again and have another hook-up only for Marni to do the same thing. This book was a bunch of hilarious interconnections between Marni and Max. Add to that a fake engagement and it was just a wild good time. I loved the little easter eggs from Lauren's previous books to know that this takes place in the same universe as the Morgan Brothers! Marni's daughter was so cute and I loved her relationship with Max. I really enjoyed this book and am so happy to be back with Lauren's writing! She never fails to make me smile.
A one night stand, enemies to lovers then fake dating/engagement just about sums up Who’s Your Daddy, the fantastic new standalone from Lauren Rowe.
They do say that the best way to get over a man is to get under a new one, but what’s the script when said new man turns out to be the previous one's son? Well in Marnie’s case she does a runner, however she can’t run too far, for too long as both her and Max, the man in question, share mutual acquaintances, some are more close than others. Despite the fact that Marnie’s a decade older than Max the pair couldn't be more perfect for one another, their chemistry is off the charts.
When Max’s mother is added into the mixture she puts Max and Marnie in somewhat of a predicament in which laughter and banter ensues as the pair bond over their mutual needs and desires 😉. Max is also introduced Ripley, Marnie’s young daughter who immediately imprints herself on "her" Maxy-Milly, their encounters were absolutely adorable, based on those alone I’d give Who’s The Daddy five stars but when you add in all the other shenanigans and hot, steamy encounters, well I just wish I could give it more.
There’s no denying I’m a huge fan of Lauren Rowe, once again she’s raised the bar high with this one. The storyline and the characters had me captivated from start to finish, I could not put the book down. Who’s Your Daddy is definitely going down as one of my top reads of 2023.
I loved this book. It was super cute, funny, hot, and totally swoon worthy. "Maxy -milly" was everything!!
The book starts out with Marnie out at a girl's night, with a guest marnie brought along who ends up playing a big part in this story... Marnie is also a single mama to the adorably cute Ripley. The group ends up at a bar later on to meet Grayson, a guy who thought he was texting someone else but ends up being marnie's friend. Enter Max
Max is a patent lawyer who is a workaholic who loves older women and is instantly drawn to Marnie. They have a hot one night stand, but agree to dinner later until Marnie finds out a god-awful coincidence and takes off without another word.
A year and a half later, they see each other again at grayson's birthday party. The tension between these too.... they end up working out an agreement. There is a fake engagement that has so many swoon worthy moments of how Max would be as a daddy to sweet Ripley.
I don't want to share much more so i don't give away anything. But go check this one out. I won Auggies book, so I'm excited to read that one
Marnie had sworn off men until she met Max. He was all man wrapped up with a bow and one night was all it was supposed to be and neither one could believe the connection between them.l, but they were very clear no strings, but there was something happening. In the morning a punch to the gut for Marnie and everything took a shocking twist and she bolted leaving Max wondering what happened. There is so much to their story I could go on and spoil it for you but I won’t. I loved Ripley. She was adorable and had me laughing at times. I loved the twist of fate that brings these two back together again. The secret she was keeping from Max and how everything fell into place. Such a great book and one of my favorites for 2023. It’s a definite must read!!
Who’s Your Daddy? is an age gap, single mother, romance. The female main character, Marnie, is the older character in the couple, which I found very refreshing. You don’t see that very often. Usually, the male is older and in a position of power. However, Marnie is 10 years older than Max, and there's an equal share of power in the relationship.
You tend to find with an older female lead, she’s written as an over-the-top cougar or a motherly-type partner. But that’s not our Marnie! She’s young at heart, strong, beautiful, and funny. Perfect for Maximillian Vaughn (Maxy-Milly as Ripley would say).
The steam level is off the charts with these two 🌶🌶🌶and there’s a good level of jokes and laughter from everyone. Pure Lauren Rowe banter, which I crave! The narrative will keep you on your feet, and have you hooked to finish the book in one night. However, it’s the heart that’s sold it for me. There is so much emotion in this book, some beautiful heart melting moments, outstanding! And Ripley is just frigging adorable!
It's a standalone book, so if you haven't read anything of Lauren's, you can dive straight in... and then read everything else she's written 😂
Absolutely freaking adorable and fun. I'm not a huge fan of kids in romcoms, but Ripley was adorable and melted not only Maxys heart, but mine. The little twists definitely had me surprised, and I didn't see them coming! I loved the development with Maxy's character, and the ending had me in tears!
✨️ Reverse Age Gap ✨️ Secret Fling ✨️ Fake Engagement ✨️ Single Mom ✨️ Found Family ✨️ Forced Proximity
Marnie and Max were cute , I love a good meet cute at a bar and a spice level was chefs kiss , so their relationship definitely had some ups and downs, where they first kind of get together and then they have a little bit of time apart. I like how they work themselves back together to make it work.
I love this book it had some sex scenes in it that could have been left out but other than that it was a good book I fell in love with a little girl and it was just an all-around good love story for Valentine's this month
Marnie and Max were great. I couldn't put this book down, it sucked me in. It started as a one night stand. The chemistry was great and it was well written
One of my favs in a while! I was looking for a freebie on audible and gave this a shot and I thought it was really great. A different plot that anything I had read lately.
Audio🎧 Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan? Yes please, my favorite narrators. And 40 year old FMC and 32 year old MMC? Yes again. This was a lovely read 😊 and love their dynamic!
