I am an air force brat and spent most of my growing up years living overseas in Italy and England, as well as Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Virginia while we were stateside. I now live in Florida once again with my big, wonderfully pushy family and my three-legged cat, Harry. I have been reading romance novels since I was twelve years old, and twenty years later I still adore them. Currently, I have an unexplainable obsession with hockey goaltenders, and an unabashed affection for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Well...this one is a hard one for me to rage. I enjoyed most of it, but there were a lot of things I didn't like.

I liked the storyline, it was better and more logical and mysterious than the first book. The reason Garrick had for being gone for 5 years made sence, that part was better done in this book. I liked seeing the characters from boom 1 and I even liked the kids in this one. Also the steam was very hot....as always.

Now the things I didn't like......I didn't like the flow of this book. The whole back and fort between the past and the present annoyed the hell out of me. Everytime I got into the story, there was another flashback, so I started skimming them and that's never a good sighn. I think the author should have done the past first and then the present, so the flow of the story would not get interrupted. I mean I even skimmed the flashback sexscenes because I wanted to know how things were progressing in the present. The second thing that irritated me was the fact that they're had one weekend together and after 5 years they are still pining away for each other...that's kind of pathetic to me. They had 2 days of fucking and over the next five years they still think about each other every day and neither of them has sex with anybody else in those 5 years !!! Some may find this very sweet....too me.....it makes me want to barf, but that's just my personal opinion. I can believe people pining away when missing the love of their life, after being together for years ...but a weekend....no, just no. They were in love after 2 days and spend the next 5 years thinking about each other...

I also didn't like Devlin as much as I thought I would. He was way to pliable. I would have liked it more if he would have been a little bit pissed at Garrick. He was so easy to please, he wasn't even upset when he first saw Garrick and Garrick denied knowing him. Also, the last email Garrick send him was pretty shitty !! He forgave him right away, because he figured the guy probably had a good reason. Now I could say that makes Devlin an awesome human being, but when I read a book, I tend to listen to my own emotions and I was pissed for Devlin...so I wanted him to be too. Hope I'm still making sense ;)) I understood why Garrick did it, but still if he wanted to keep his identity hidden...he shouldn't have come to Redemption in the first place !!!

So yeahh..I enjoyed some of it, but It wasn't as good for me as I would have liked. Still prefer the first book over this one. At least Ethan made Aiden grovel a bit ;)

Damn...I really am a cold hearted bitch ;)

3 stars from me and yes this book is full of fluttering and clenching chutes :)))

Ok, the story and the characters in this one worked for me, but the way the story was told did NOT.

This is one of those books that flip flop between the past and the present, which made it difficult for me to be really drawn into either time, it ruined the momentum of the story for me. I found myself skimming the past stuff, even though that's where most of the best sex was, just to get back to the present, which, to me, was the meat of the story. I think this book would have worked much better if it had had a prologue set today, followed by their initial meeting five years ago, and then finished up with all the stuff in the present.

Cameron DOES write some of the hottest sex around, I just wish she would tone down the usage of the words "chute" and "channel", which just aren't sexy to me, and the authors uses a LOT.

Would have enjoyed this more if the author had cut back ruthlessly on the endless sex scenes that added nothing except...well, sex, to the book and focused more on the story. Just when I'd just begin to be getting into the actual plot, the relationship, the characters, the flow would be interrupted by yet another multi-multi-multi page overwritten, overlong, florid sex scene whose excruciating endless details added pretty much nothing to my understanding of the characters or their relationship or the story or anything, and in fact could be neatly excised, or at the very least cut back to a few paragraphs, without any loss. One or two of them could have been hot - ten of them (or more) constituted brutal overkill. After a while, all I wanted was for them to end already so I could get back to what there was of the story, to something actually happening. You could take well more than 50% of those scenes out of this book and not only not lose anything, but end up with a more coherent and enjoyable story (though on the other hand, that would expose how little story there actually is here).

Disappointing and annoying, and sadly increasingly common in this genre. It's doubly unfortunate because the author is actually a fairly solid writer and could quite probably tell a story that I might remember - might want to remember - for longer than 5 seconds after finishing it.

Blurb

Devlin Morgan and Gradyn Connell have one thing on their minds when they meet in a bar one Friday night in San Francisco. One good, hard fuck.

After the hell he’s been through, Gradyn knows the young man sitting at the end of the bar--with his sweet nervousness and beautiful face--is just what he needs. And Gradyn has absolutely no problem getting up to say hello.

Devlin knows inviting muscle-bound, tattooed Gradyn to his motel room is the riskiest thing he’s ever done, but there’s something in the man’s warm green eyes that tells Devlin everything will be all right.

One explosive encounter in Devlin’s motel room is the plan. Only, it turns out one hot fuck isn’t enough for either man. Dinner afterward leads to another round in bed, and what follows is a weekend together that stirs more emotions than either Devlin or Gradyn ever expected to feel.

Fast forward five years. Devlin has never forgotten Gradyn but he has moved on with his life. That is, until he walks into his sister’s workplace and comes face to face with the man from his wild weekend in San Francisco.

Except, this man is calling himself Garrick Langley. This man is a shell of the man Devlin remembers and hardly looks like the same person. And the biggest kick in Devlin’s gut? This Garrick Langley pretends he doesn’t know Devlin at all.

No. Fucking. Way.

Devlin doesn’t care what this man looks like or that he has a new name. Garrick Langley is Gradyn Connell, and they both know it. Devlin is a lot more secure in his own skin now, and he wants answers. This Garrick had better look out because Devlin won’t stop until he uncovers every one of Gradyn’s secrets.

Note: This title contains male/male acts of loving, including oral, anal and rimming. Also includes scene with mild bondage and spanking.

Devlin and Garrick it's the 2 book in the
Seeking Redemption
series and i truly enjoyed it. Such an awesome book with a good story line and plot, sweet, intense and very, very HOT. It's been ages for me since i read an m/m book with such great, intense, dirty and sweaty sex scenes.

Wot i loved the most about this book was the chemistry between Devlin and Garrick. To actually get properly into a book i need to feel the MC's connection and connect with them and Cameron Dane did an wonderful job with this one.

When i read a book i normally like to guess the plot but that did not happened in this case.

Devlin and Garrick are really awesome. They both sweet, sexy, intense and with there feet planted on the ground. Devlin it's a bit shy as well in special when they meet for the first time and Garrick comes across more as an alpha male but you have to wait till you meet the real Garrick and form your opinion about him.

Why this book it's a 4 stars for me and not 5

So you probably wonder why i choose to rate this book as a 4 star if i praise it so much. My only problem with this book is that 30% or maybe more of this book are flashes from the past when the MC's remembers different situations. I did not liked this at all. It really did my head in. I am not a big fan when i read a book to have so many flashes from the past. But that's just my opinion, this book would've been even more great with out them.

Overall this book it's a great read and you won't be disappointed if you choose to do so.

I REALLY liked this story - the plot, the mystery, the characters, the emotions, the sex...

It is the story of two men who meet and share one passionate weekend together which turns into six months of exchanging emails before the contact between them ends abruptly. Five years later they meet again to find each man has not forgotten the other.

I loved that the short time that Devlin and Garrick spent together made such an impact. I loved the emotional connection between them. I loved that they had never felt able to move on and give themselves fully to another. I loved that time had not diminished what they felt.

Devlin is the little brother of Aiden (from book 1 Aidan and Ethan) and lives in the town of Redemption. Garrick subconsiously headed there, and towards Devlin, when his life exploded. There is some mystery as to why he has shown up in town, why his looks and name are different and why he pretends to not know Devlin. I must admit to being slightly confused at the beginning but it all eventually becomes clear.

The story alternates between the present (the gradual reconnection of Devlin and Garrick filled with high emotion as the secrets from the past and true feelings are aired) to the past (their first meeting, the passionate weekend and emotional parting).

The secondary characters in the book are great, particularly Devlin's sister Maddie and also Wyn and Grace. I liked the brief glimpse of how happy Ethan and Aiden are "Disgustingly happy as a couple for three years now, they made forever look attainable and inviting."

The inclusion of the kids was really well done. I particularly liked the scene where Garrick is playing ball with the kids when Devlin appears and joins in. The scene was so natural and reinforced how nice each man is by their simple interactions with the kids. Little Chloe was gorgeous and such a wise little girl. Plus I loved her explanations of 'transvesite' and 'transgender'. We need more mum's to give their kids such honest and simple explanations!

I found the whole story really engaging with a perfect balance of the emotional and the physical love. I loved the way the sex scenes were written, so full of raw and honest passion and truly reflecting 'making love'. I also loved Garrick's use of the endearment 'beautiful' - so sweet.

I now publish all my m/m reviews on my blog so if you want to see all my m/m reviews in one place come visit at Because Two Men Are Better Than One!

I loved this story. It was mysterious and filled with tension, the characters and their backgrounds fascinated me and, not to forget, the sex scenes were really hot.

The format of the story and how it was told was also interesting: the memories of Devlin's and Garrick's first meeting five years prior to the story start was given from both characters' viewpoints and spread throughout the first two thirds of the book. Rather than annoy me (like flashbacks usually do), these were spaced very cleverly to explain aspects of today's story. It made them feel like additions rather than interruptions.

The intensity of Devlin's and Garrick's feelings for each other was touching and I felt for both of them throughout the book. If you like your romance with a bit of mystery and tension - this is a great book for you to read.

First off, even though I liked the names of the MCs, I felt the author tried too much. As a matter of fact, she tried too much with the names of all her male characters in this series: Ethan; Aidan; Devlin; Garrick; Wyn.

Then again, the majority of the male characters in her other novels have pretty distinct names (Rhone, in Finding Home; Greyson and Sirus in Grey's Awakening; Logan in Breaking Logan's Laws; Canin in The Ultimate Kink; Rodrigo and Braden in Something New; Connor, Cain, Cade, Duke, Tyler, Caleb, Jace, Jasper, and Hunter in the Quinten, Montana series.
Anyway.

The reason why the two characters had to stay apart for so long was more convincing here than in the first book (Aidan and Ethan). What I still can't swallow though is how the character that was forced to stay away from Redemption and the love of his life (in this instance, Gradyn/Garrick) appears in the small town after years and years expecting his love interest to be fully available. Seriously? It's not a month. It's not three months. It's not even a year! The period is so long anything could have happened in between. From a committed relationship to full-blown marriage. Unless this was a historical romance taking place in the 1800s and I didn't realize.

Garrick's ambivalence (I'm staying-I'm leaving, I'm staying-I'm leaving...) got on my nerves toward the end of the book and I found Devlin exhibited too much patience and trust and good will toward the man. Most of the time he (Devlin) came across as naive and juvenile.

And what's with the kids? Why does a gay couple need to have some kids around to play dad in order to be happy in life? And let's just say, for the sake of argument, that Devlin and Garrick do need the kids to feel complete. In this instance, how could Garrick have developed such a strong fatherly love for those two kids after only a month in Redemption? And why was the dilemma "the kids or Devlin" even touched upon? You have been pining for the man for more than five years and you have finally come to find him and claim him and you allow your short interaction with a couple of neighbourhood kids be an issue? Right...
But hey, these were special kids: the 11-year-old girl was able to tell that her new father figure was gay in a heartbeat and she also knew what a transvestite and a transgender person was. Wow.

The sex was abundant and toe-curling good though. The scenes in the flashbacks were good but I liked the "present day" ones better. The one in the kitchen and the other one on the couch? Hot! One note though: Using a couple of ties to restrain your partner's arms and then telling them when to come does not mean you're a dom, in my opinion. But maybe it's just me.

So. This one gets half a star for the cover, half a star for the story line and one star for the white-hot sex. I would have given it another star if I weren't for the kids.

Phew! Those two boys together are just plain STEAMY! Admittedly this book does do a fair bit of flip flopping between the past and the present but I found the timing of the switches actually made sense to what was being revealed in the present. It did give for a whole picture understanding of what these two mean together. And yes, this is one of those case where I don't hate the insta-love. Maybe it's because these two have been pining for each other for years, I don't know, but they work.

Devlin knows the minute he's introduced to Garrick at the garage his sister works at that the man in front of him is the man he knows deeply and intimately as Gradyn no matter how changed his appearance or how he appears to know nothing about Devlin. What they shared 5 years before was just too powerful and Devlin is not going to let Garrick walk out of his life again with out a fight. Garrick has way to many secrets he needs to keep if he wants to protect his life. Maybe moving to Redemption with just one man on his mind may not have been his best idea ever.

So Devlin and Garrick were smokin' but the two kids were beyond adorable. I loved Cloe and Shawnee. Their attachment to Garrick was innocent and sweet. All together this story blended a lot of really good hot smexy time with some really sweet sentimental moments as well. I have one little niggle against the story which puts it at 4.5 stars that I'll round up for enjoyments sake. I feel like Garrick's backstory never really gets comfortably resolved. I'm hoping in book 3, even as it's not their story, that some resolution might appear. I don't like feeling a little in limbo on that one.

What was it about this book that made me so in love with it? Hmmm, let's see.

Perhaps it was the wonderful characters, and not just the MC's. I liked the secondary characters in this book too (I hope Grace gets a book, I hope Wyn gets a book)
.
Perhaps it was the raw erotic writing, struth, the sex was creative and plentiful, but never too much for me at any stage. Devlin earns the prize for most wildly enthusiastic sex partner in any book. His first actual penetrative sex with Garrick (aka Gradyn) was ADD ridden, and insane. I loved it! In fact, I loved the erotic intensity throughout.

Perhaps it was the mystery thread of someone watching over someone else, but who was actually being watched?

Perhaps it was the (crazily romantic) fact that even after 5 years apart these two guys could not move on, they missed each other and had such a strong bond after one fucktastic weekend in San Fran.

Perhaps it was the freaking awesome cover, it really does justice to the story being told. What can I say? I appreciate good cover art.

I guess all of the above in tandem just made this a great read for me. It's definitely Cameron Dane's deeply erotic, heart ripping, prose driven, character attaching writing style that has me loving this book and desperately wanting more in the series. I say it every book - I am a Cameron Dane addict.

This author loves to have her characters go through long separations… book one (Aidan and Ethan) used this device, too. Problem is, in a romance it’s a hard sell without a really good reason.

Devlin (Aidan’s kid brother) and Garrick had an explosive one-weekend hookup in San Francisco five years ago. Now, Devlin is home in Redemption, Maine and for five years has tried to forget that weekend. Nothing and no one else measures up to that very brief affair with Garrick.

Until five years later when Garrick shows up in Devlin’s home town, 3,000 miles away. Really? No contact, no other boyfriends, no other lovers in five years? Well, it’s called fiction for a reason.

These guys are super hot together, no doubt about it. That was hellsa fun. But… the insta-love has to be done just right to work for me. Same with flashbacks, of which there were many. But I think it’s the OTT, overly sentimental, chick-i-fied narrative and dialogue used that really did it in.

I really this book. It had some plot and mystery, it was emotional, and it was just a lovely read about a love story between two males. I loved that both men had a dominant streak. They definitely both owned each other. But they also showed their vulnerable side which I loved them about both of them.

When I first started reading this, I didn't know how the author was going to explain the transformation of Garrick or Gradyn after so many years and while one of my guesses did turn out to be right, my mind did come up with a few different possibilities.

I was expecting there to be a climax and there almost was one but then it just fell flat and was resolved a little too easily, and then I began waiting for another climax which never came. But oh well, this was still an enjoyable read.

I have no interest reading the first book because I think what was mentioned about it in this book was sufficient but I would be interested in reading Maddie and Wyn's story. They both need to get their head out of their asses and just be together like they both want to.

Where to begin, I knew i would love this one!! but it was more then what i thought.. I was hooked straight away i couldnt put it down. So much was happening I loved Devlin and Garrick, O wow they were two hot guys falling in love!!!
they meet 5 yrs ago, and then Garrick is in Devlin's home town! The sexual tension is amazing, the writing is amazing!
I love Cameron Dane!! I cant wait till she write Wyn and Maddie's book. Oh it is going to be good!!!
the only reason why i gave it a 4 stars in stead of 5 is cos i got annoyed with the looking at the past, but as im typing this and thinking about it, you had to know there past to get to there future so i think i will change my rating to 4.5 stars :)

DEVLIN AND GARRICK is one of those novels you easily lose yourself in to, not because of the suspense but because the chemistry between two people is just that good, it keeps you succumbed to the pages in order to find out how their happily ever after will come to be. When I read the blurb a few weeks back it was initially the mystery which intrigued the daylights out of me because, what had happened to Gradyn/Garrick between that weekend with Devlin and the present? You can imagine that upon the moment I got an e-mail informing me this novel was up for purchase I hit the buy button. Color me surprised when it wasn’t the mystery that grabbed me but Devlin and Garrick themselves whom kept me firmly rooted in this novel.

Through the memories of both Devlin and Garrick I found out what happened between them during that weekend spend together. The past storyline is alternated with the present one and blended seamlessly together. That particular weekend in San Francisco, Devlin was a twenty-three year old, ready to explore gay sex but quickly discovers this weekend isn’t going to live up to what he had in mind. Surrounded by the beat of techno music he runs in to Gradyn and after some thought Devlin accepts his offer to “get out of here”. What started as a one night stand quickly becomes more…

I got to meet Devlin as a younger man who was ready for a deeper exploration of his gay sexuality and the direction his life was taking. He was full of questions, unbridled passion, laced with a bit of innocence and inexperience. The present gives a picture of a confident man with a job he loves, friends and family and only his love life leaves a lot to be desired.

Gradyn/Garrick is a man with a secretive past, he is all easy going charm but he can also brood. While Devlin is all openness, Garrick is closed off at times. When Garrick is relaxed you get to meet the real him; caring, humorous and sexy but there always that tinge of edginess that kept me on my qui vive there was more to him then meets the eye. His secrecy has him holding back and while the reason for this attitude is credible I also found them easy to discover.

Between these two main men it was instant attraction from the moment they met. It’s instinctual, undeniable and catching both men off guard by the developing force of their feelings. I was taken in to that dingy hotel room which became the backdrop for such intimate moments shared. Their chemistry was an inferno blazing through the pages with a range of emotions encompassing all they felt but the passion ruled above any other. It was Devlin’s first time and it turned out to be sweet, scorching, devouring and demanding. Everything Devlin might want but didn’t think he would get. Garrick was all sexual enthusiasm yet also the more experienced man who knew what he wanted and how.

This is what made me love this book so much, the emotions burning between Devlin and Garrick, not only in that wild weekend and the six month of e-mails and phone calls after that. It was the present too where all these bottled emotions flares to life again. Both male characters had distinct voices allowing me to connect to them on every level. I must say the mystery is the weakest ingredient, it provided tension between the two men, lots of unanswered questions, but it got solved in two or three days which made it feel rushed and underdeveloped. I think it could’ve added so much more to this story and was a bit disappointed to see it dwindle so fast in the present storyline to a predictable level. On the other hand the romance, the absolute need to crawl in to another man’s heart, body and soul, was overwhelming all other elements with its intensity. It’s portrayal by the author made me believe everything that came to pass between Devlin and Garrick.

With a supporting cast of friends, family and neighbors it completes this story. Chloe and Shaw added some innocent perspective, Grace and Maddy some female friendship and Wyn Ashworth as a cop friend will hopefully receive his own story soon. I really hope we get to see the attraction develop between him and Maddy.

DEVLIN AND GARRICK is above all a M/M romance where two men enraptured me in their journey. The sex is addictive as it is scorching, the emotions brimming the pages and Cameron Dane’s voice easily envelops the reader in the story told. I’m glad I got to know Devlin and Garrick!

DEVLIN AND GARRICK is the second book in the Seeking Redemption series and I actually liked this book a bit more than the first, mainly because of the characters. I do like the direct approach in people and characters I meet in books I tend to hold to the same standard, so these very brash and sometimes intrusive people I met here worked for me .

When Devlin dream man turns up in Redemption under another name and looking totally different – he was not willing to accept him pretending that he didn’t know him. Feeling a lot put out he does the next best thing - he goes after his man with everything he had. Garrick is not the man that Devlin met many years ago however – he is now a cagier man, a man who watches shadows and trust no one, even if that person is the one who means everything to him.

Ms. Dane does not hesitate in this second book, with some nicely crafted scenes of past and present she brings together two people who are destined to be together. Devlin is one of the good guys who only wants the man he met years ago – who had just fell off the radar. Garrick on the other hand is caught in that in-between place, he wants the one thing he knows he cannot have yet he is willing to hope he can have it all.

I like Devlin along with his sister and brother and since the first book the siblings are closer than ever after years apart, and as such they do not miss a chance to get into each others business. I really liked that aspect of this book.

Not only was this book about Devlin getting his man - but with some short crisp scenes Ms Dane build up some tension around Garrick’s stay in redemption with a nice little mystery. For me this could have done with a bit more page time and a lot more detail added into the mix. If felt stilted and ultimately not believable.

Any book with kids as well more often than not is winner with me and the kids in this one were really neat.

Of the three siblings there is the sister left to get her story and if I am following the plotline correctly – her one is already known. Now for Ms. Dane to lay on the fireworks of how they will get together.

Almost 5 stars.

I liked this book even better than the first book in the series. 5 years ago Devlin Morgan had the perfect weekend. As one of very few openly gay men in Redemption, Maine, Devlin treats himself to an expensive weekend vacation to San Francisco where he hopes to meet a man and have his first physical relationship.

At a bar in San Francisco, Devlin meets Gradyn Connell a large, beautiful, tattooed man. After a weekend of learning about each other in every way, they realize that one weekend isn't enough and begin a long distance romance with emails and phone calls. 6 months later, Gradyn breaks it off and Devlin spends the next few years remembering the perfect weekend and dating men that never hold up to his memories of the man that got away.

5 years after the weekend in San Francisco a new man comes to Redemption, Maine. Devlin knows that the man is Gradyn, but he's calling himself Garrick Langley and doesn't look like the man that Devlin knew before. Not only that - Garrick acts like he doesn't know Devlin at all. "No. Fucking. Way."

I really enjoyed this story. Is Garrick really Gradyn? Why does he look so different? Where are all his tattoos? I got into this story and the flashbacks of their perfect weekend were extremely steamy and sexy. I liked Devlin and Gradyn a lot and while I don't typically like insta-love romances as much as romances that grow from strong friendships, I think this relationship was well wrought by the author.

I gave this book almost 5 stars because I liked the characters, the relationship, and the plot. The plot was more interesting to me than a classic boy meets boy romance.

Devlin is a small town gay guy, so he takes a trip to San Fran. There he meets the enigmatic, sexy, tattooed god that is Gradyn. They spend the weekend together, engaged in sexual acts across the board. Then they part ways. Five years later Devlin goes to the garage of his home town, only to find Gradyn there as a mechanic. Only, the guy's physically totally different. He's also got a new name, Garrick--and worst of all, he pretends he doesn't know Devlin at all!

This is only the start of the story. We've met Devlin before in the first book in the series, and here's he's older, wiser, and lonelier. He's pined over Gradyn for many years, and now finds him nearby--but totally different. Nerve-wrecking, I can tell you!

The writing blends current and past events seamlessly, which I certainly appreciated. Sometimes flashbacks halt the story too much. Here it's good that we don't get the whole story in the prologue. Little tidbits open up as we go along, and we find out about Devlin's sexual awakening and the reasons behind why he's still thinking about Gradyn/Garrick after all these years.

Devlin's sweet, smart, and inquisitive. And he's not willing to let this matter drop. Garrick's secrets, however, are dangerous, so what are these men to do?

There's a side story about Garrick's neighbor and her two children that worked well into the overall plot.

This series is progressing nicely, and I can't wait to find out what happens next. I sure hope Cameron Dane has the next one already written :)

Everything I read is just...I don't know the word I am looking for. I mean, it's okay, but I want more. But LESS SEX! The stuff is so sex filled that I tend to skip over the scenes and then I am missing so much of the book because of it.

I did, however, like this one more than the first book. The flashbacks were a bit much for me, I mean, it was 2 days! I don't need a blow by blow (literally) for every second of that time. Were they even flashbacks or just daydreaming/dreaming?

I really didn't learn much about Devlin either. I did about Garrick, but just his past and he likes to have a lot of sex.

Overall, less flashbacks and less sex and I think I would have liked it more.

I like sex in a book, especially when that sex is hot. I just don't like too much of it and that is what Devlin and Garrick had.

I don't know WHY I was expecting this to be similar to Aidan and Ethan which I absolutely love as one of my favs because I constantly go back to read parts of it.

The characters in this didn't fall flat per say, they just weren't written out right.

I didn't feel a connection to them because so much of past Devlin and Garrick was expressed instead of present Devlin and Garrick. It didn't make me feel any sympathy or any real feel about their connection because basically, they had two days or sex and they were suddenly right for each other and months of talk that I didn't feel sufficed either. Either way, something was really off.

I loved Aidan and Ethan because Cameron Dane was able to keep up the tension. They had sex TWICE and I still felt the attraction, the need, the strenuous pull between them that made me die for them to be together.

I found myself skipping the sex to hit the main plot and I hated doing that but not when there's so little story existing.

I absolutely loved this book. It was even better than the first one in this series. I really liked the way the author worked the history & memory scenes into the story without it seeming forced or out of place. The mystery in the story was great just enough to make me want to read more. The characters are great as well Devlin & Garrick were actually developed enough to feel like real people. This story made me kinda believe that love at first sight is really possible.. This was a love story full of discovery, pain, rejection, determination, redemption and scorching hot sex. A really great read!

Well, I have to say right up front that even though I thoroughly enjoyed this story... those flashbacks got annoying after a bit! grrrrr

Other than that this one really worked for me... except perhaps for this one line...

Garrick rolled over on the hood and looked in at Garrick through the windshield.

Dang, that Garrick is one talented guy! *snort* LOL!!!

Now, reading Maddie & Wyn!!!

Good m/m romance about Devlin, visiting San Francisco for a few days, who picks up a rough, tattooed guy for some quick fun that turns into a weekend in bed, followed by six months of emails and phone calls before the guy brutally dumps Devlin in email. Five years later, Devlin's still struggling to deal with that when he bumps into a mysteriously familiar (but tattoo-free) guy new in town...

good book. nice romance between then two of them, you can really tell they truly love each other. some cute and funny moments, sex scenes a little corny. but a good easy read. i haven't read the first book in the series but it didn't prevent me from not knowing who the other characters were. now i need to read the first so the rest of the series will go in order. lol

Am I being too bah-humbugish?? Some will think this strange, but I found there too much sex and not enough plot. Nearly all of the flashbacks were choc-o-bloc full of sex. IDK, I just couldn't get to the dialogue fast enough...

I enjoyed this book, I loved how two people can instantly and believably fall in love. Devlin and Garrick fit, they are able to gauge the other and provide what was necessary.

Well worth reading.

Too much sex, not enough substance and completely unbelievable (especially the part about 2 strangers being faithful to each other for 5 years after a weekend of sex). Over the top romance.
