I genuinely enjoyed this and was so happy to be part of it. I am definitely working on my mental health, in any way to improve and techniques and this has helped.

I have received this ARC for an honest review, all thoughts/opinions above are my own.

I personally really resonated with this book.

I'll be honest, on the day of writing this review, I had a hard day. I don't even know all the reasons why, but I just had a lot of anxiety. Thoughts of old failures, overwhelm, wondering if I was going to make it.

And this book directed me to the tools I have inside me - and to my spirit. And I found such peace, and excitement for today. And tomorrow!

Look, I've faced some rough loss. Serious depression. The idea that happiness is a choice seemed foreign to me at times. But what if that's true? What if happiness can be rooted to something solid, and not fleeting?

Get the book and try some things out. Don't knock it til you try it. Smile in the mirror. Give yourself compassion for where you're at. Choose joy. I hope the words in this book bless you like they did me.

Robert J Charles has written a long overdue call for all of us who struggle with mental health issues to regain our happiness. Perhaps if we did, the world might be a better place with us and others happier.

I am not the best self help reader, in part because I know it takes more than a "fix it bandage mindset" to really change. I feel better having read this and wish everyone else would. Highly Recommended 5/5

[I was given this book first as an ARC by the author and I chose to verify my review]

Easy to read with cute comics!

This book felt like it was written by someone who really cares about his readers! It's full of good advice and formatted with bullet points to make reading easy. Some of the advice draws from cognitive behavioral therapy which I have tried before and truly does help.
I love the author's suggestion to write a letter to yourself as though you were writing it to comfort a friend. It is possible to be compassionate to yourself and live life much more happily. Check out this book!

A must for people who always put themselves last

This book is such a great tool for people who always put themselves last.
Self-care and self-compassion are words that have been so foreign to me. I’ve had to learn that these are vital and important.
This book is really great at not only explaining why these are important, but also give lots of valuable tools for one to use on one’s life journey!

Self Care and Self Compassion

So much of the world is focused on self lately. But not in a good way. This book touches on self compassion and self-care on a deeper level. It is so important to understand the many facets of moods, and how they affect you and what are the external sources of hurt or frustration. This book did a great job in laying it out on the table and helping you to Taking care of yourself, mind and body.

I don’t read many self help books but this one blew me away. I read quickly as I got this as an ARC but I’m going back through a second time to really focus and absorb everything.

This is a book I believe I’ll go back to many times as I need help. Great job!

Interesting ideas

This thought-provoking, uplifting book is easy enough to follow. The ideas are well written and includes workbooks, yet seek a therapist if required.
