I have the hots for my new tennis coach. But why does he look so familiar? And why does he resent me right from the start? Could he be crawling back from my past? Who needs to work when you’re an heiress? I choose fun, fashion, and country clubs… and the HOT tennis pro! I cannot focus when he’s attempting to show me the back hand. I can feel his body heat, his muscles humming under his tight shirt, his … oh god! Why he’s so cold and seemingly angry with me all the time. What have I ever done to him? Whatever it is, it doesn’t prevent him from taking my body with passion, one very hot night. And then? Nothing. Back to the hating.
Until one day, it clicks.
Oh noooooo… he’s that boy from Middle School. The one whose parents could not afford the fees of private education. The one I constantly bullied. The one I now cannot resist. Crap.
Really good read! Gigi and Arthur who hated each other in high school, now turn into lovers. But daddy does not like him and will not let his little girl even go out with him, what would he do if he knew she slept with him?.

Georgette Astley (“Gigi”) has controlling parents who have their own plans for her future. But instead of studying business, she pursues her own musical interest, going so far as to change her last name to avoid recognition. She will choose her career on her own merits, not with name-dropping. He had already gotten her kicked out of her band. Then he named her half-brother his heir just to punish her.
After a frustrating meeting at a record company where the sleazy music executive propositioned her in return for a chance to sing, he made the mistake of bragging he was a silver member at the prestigious Astley Hotel and they could go there to get to know each other more intimately. She pulled out her phone and called the front desk to have him tossed out of the hotel permanently. (Although I don’t like her character so far, I had to cheer on her giving the man what he deserved.) Then she snarls at her driver to take her to the tennis club where she can release her anger and relax. For now, she decides to watch the players. But she sees a gorgeous man she cannot stop staring at as he plays with grace and power. His talent is undeniable as the spectators gasp at his every move. When he wins, he graciously gives a small nod to the audience, radiating charm. She decides that this man will be hers and calls the manager to have her tennis clothes delivered to her locker so she can challenge him in a match.
She sees him look at her with recognition, probably having seen her on TV or a magazine cover. Then she challenges him to prove himself. They banter as they test each other’s skills. And she was finally able to win. He invites her for a drink and introduces himself… Arthur McCallister, the owner of the new chain of McCallister hotels that her father has been grousing over as his major competition. When she tells him Reginald Astley’s name, he goes rigid and ignores her outstretched hand. She thinks he is intimidated by her father, so she kisses him. After an initial gasp, he responds to her and their undeniable chemistry. He takes her hand and asks her to come with him. He’s not sure if this is anger or desire, but he has loathed her for 10 years. She had almost ruined his future. By the time he has led her to his lodge, the memories swirling in his head made him tell her to leave. She does, but turns to taunt him with the name he had used in school… Sissy. It makes him angry, as he opens the door and instead invites her in. Being intimate with her now, the unworthy boy she ridiculed, is an apt punishment for the way she treated him back then. But he forgets all about revenge as he gets lost in the dream he never thought he would ever experience. Afterward, they both are amazed at how drawn they are to each other, but he needs to stop the feelings NOW, as he asks if she has any idea who he really is? At his tone, she pushed him away as he reminded her of what she had done to him and how cruel she was just to get a laugh from her snooty friends. She slapped him hard and left in total anger and mortification. But will either of them forget their connection? Will their anger keep them apart? Or will the deep love that had started continue to pull them back together?
This is the second book I have read by Audrey Robert. I am not sure how I missed reading book two in the Urban Besties Series, but I did and now I am left wondering how I would have felt about that book. I loved book one and I loved book three until chapters 18 and 19. This book really made me angry and I was literally giving Gigi a piece of my mind. I loved Gigi until those chapters as well, but even though chapter 20 righted everything my hardened heart did not melt for her in the least bit. I loved Arthur and thought he was an amazing man who deserved so much more than Gigi. There were a few wonderful supporting characters throughout the story as well. I had mixed feelings as the book came to an end and I really wish that were not the case. It just wasn't enough to change my mind in regards to the book as a whole. I will definitely be going back and reading book two. I know many people loved this book, but it just wasn't for me. Honestly, Arthur is the only thing that made this book worth reading in my opinion.
When Arthur and Gigi meet at the tennis club for the first time neither of them realize that they share a past. One that does not bring back pleasant memories for either of them. They share an intense chemistry and after spending some time together these two begin to realize that they have misjudged one another. Now can they get her fathers approval or will he snub Arthur because he doesn't come from old money?

I wanted to love this story, but just a few things made that impossible. First, I want to say that the book's description/blurb/synopsis does not match the story. The MMC is not her tennis coach. He's a hot guy she saw playing tennis at the country club they are both members of, and they played one match against each other at the beginning of the book. Second, she isn't in the dark about his real identity for as long as the blurb makes it sound. She learn his identity pretty quickly. Third, the writing in this story is jumbled quite a bit at times. For example, she will be naked, and then he will undress her again. The book would have been better if the editing had been a bit better. The typos and mistakes in the chain of events made it difficult to stay in the moment.
The upsides of the story, though, made it enjoyable. For example, I like that you get a bit of background about the main characters. You learn that they have a shared history that dates back a decade, so they are not strangers falling in love at first sight. Also, I like that the story has a few little time jumps, giving the couple more time in their relationship. Doing that makes it easier to believe in their love story because it has time to develop and isn't an everything-or-nothing kind of deal. The characters spent time together, became friends and lovers, and then developed more profound feelings for one another. That made the story enjoyable.
While this story had some negative aspects, it was still enjoyable enough that I plan to read the author's next book.
Deceptive Pro snagged me from the first page. I was all in and couldn’t put it down. I HAD to find out what was going to happen! As I got into it, I enjoyed how the relationship between the two main characters, Gigi and Arthur, developed and changed. I was surprised at the plot twists and wondered how they would handle them. Delicious! Suddenly, the angst was resolved and the story ended. Boom! Just like that. I was thinking there must be a second book coming out or something. It can’t just end like that! No epilogue or anything. Just… done. While I very much enjoyed the first 2/3 of the book, the ending was too abrupt and unsatisfying for me. Though the plot was essentially “wrapped up”, I needed more! I wanted to know what happened with Gigi’s parents and her singing career (which kind of seemed like an afterthought thrown in for conflict). Did her parents change their minds? Did Gigi become a star? Anyway, I would recommend Deceptive Pro for the enemies-to-lovers plot and great writing style. The author is definitely someone I’ll be checking out again. The secondary characters’ plot hints had me intrigued, so I hope they have books, too! This particular ending may just have been a matter of taste. Falling For Her Nemesis - Gigi felt a connection with Arthur from the moment their eyes connected, which led to a mind blowing filled with immense pleasures, but everything changed after Gigi discovered who Arthur actually was. However, fate brought them back together and their attraction for each other led to spend time getting to know each other as adults.
Just as Gigi and Arthur embarked on a relationship, her dad tried everything to destroy Arthur professional, which only got worse when he discovered the relationship between Arthur and Gigi. The threat made by Gigi’s dad derailed their budding relationship, but Gigi realised after spending time away from Arthur, that she couldn’t live without him. Fortunately, after she found out what he did for her, she decided to fight for a forever life with Arthur.
This is another heart stopping, angsty, addictive read, that will have you hooked from the first page. I can say without a shadow of doubt that Audrey Robert truly knows how to put a story together, that keeps totally engrossed. This is a worthwhile read that deserves to be recommended.

When Gigi's dad took control of her life, she knew it would never go how she expected, how she wanted or envisioned. Growing up with a silver spoon in your mouth has a way of jading you from some of your actions.
Georgette has led a privileged life. She was the sole heir to the Astley fortune. Until her father found out about his illegitimate son and made him the heir. He used his manipulation to pay her bandmates to take a deal that did not include Gigi. Trying to make it on her own as a singer who has terrible stage fright, and not using daddy's name, is a terrible experience.
Her father controls her entire life until she meets Arthur, again. The boy she used to bully grew up, and turned into a HUNK! At first, Arthur only has revenge on his mind, getting back at the snotty girl who used to make fun of him. Neither of them was aware of the pull that they had to each other until it was too late. Even fighting her father so she can be with Arthur proves to be difficult. It's not until Arthur shows her that he's not going anywhere does she really step away from her father and his control.

My Deceptive Pro is an enemies-to-lovers, OTT, forced-proximity, girl gets her billionaire romance. Georgette (Gigi) is a strong and sassy musician and heiress. Arthur is a billionaire hotel owner and a rival of her father . When Gigi sees Arthur playing tennis at the club, she is instantly drawn to him. They play against each other, and the attraction is intense. But when he hears her name, he suddenly goes cold. He realizes she was one of his bullies in school. He has what he thinks is revenge sex with her as she feels she and her father ruined his life. Gigi is beyond hurt and storms out. But Arthur realizes he is insanely attracted to her. The more the two run into each other, the more they realize they misjudged each other and give into their feelings. But Gigi's parents are controlling and have other plans for her. Will Gigi stand up to her parents? Can Arthur convince her love and happiness are worth fighting for? Their chemistry was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot . There is a lot of family drama, but we do get a sweet ending. Would love to get a future epilogue.

I read the last book where Gigi's Stepbrother had a "chance Encounter" with one of her friends which I loved from start to finish, and this book follows that one and captured me just as much. I love the way that Audrey writes she can describe a kiss and make it sound beautiful, alive and as powerful as fireworks and that's why I love her books. This story is Between Gigi and Arthur, you will feelfrustrated in some places, shocked in others and hope that they can overcome the control Gigi's parents have over her. I loved reading this last book of the series and it had everything I wanted from a romance novel, including plenty of steam. The series is a must read for all Romance fans and I will be looking for more of Audrey's books that I've missed. A 10/10+. I got this book free as an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Gigi's parents are disappointed in her for pursuing her passion for singing instead of studying business as her father had hoped. Her father even arranges a marriage for her, which makes Gigi very unhappy. However, she ultimately chooses to follow her heart to marry Arthur, the man she loves, and live the life she truly desires. This fairly quick read is full of family drama, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

My Deceptive Pro by Audrey Robert is a good, and enjoyable steamy billionaire stuck together opposites attract forced proximity enemies to lovers romance read. The story has a great entertaining world building story line. The characters are great, and they have great chemistry. This story is a very entertaining read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
There are so many people who were bullied in high-school. The bullies rarely realize the damage and pain they are inflicting. This book kind of brings this full circle. The boy she terrorizes in high-school, later is teaching her tennis. She is attracted to, and drawn to him...she wants him. But he seems to hate her. She can't figure out why, until she realizes he is that same boy she made fun of in school all those years ago. It's a great read with different POV.
My Deceptive Pro: An Enemies to Lovers Stuck Together Romance story of Gigi and Arthur..a spoild heiress with a manipulative parents and the nerdy boy she bullied in highschool..Years later their path crossed again and boy he change to a gorgeous billionaire and his father business rival and the man who owned her heart..A good, enjoyable, steamy with a bit of drama..

A sweet romance with lots of steam. Pleasantly, the author is well versed in the game of tennis so the descriptions are spot on. I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that the female lead could hold her own against the males on the court. Following her journey of discovering that her worth and identity are more than her genetics and family name is satisfying and the interactions with her love interest are heated, sweet and spicy.
Gabi is a woman who knows what she wants and how to get it--without her rich daddy's help. Arthur is the guy she forgot about from high school. Now, Gabi isn't sure she should go after him. The sparks fly when these two are together! This was such a fun story. I couldn't put it down!

Play with fire you’ll get burned eventually, even if it’s the flames of passion versus loathing The spoilt mean girl gets burned …… with desire . Anyone for tennis? New balls please …. Awesome ! Great writing , loved both characters and the storyline sublime , very immersive.

This is the final Urban Besties. A bit annoyed still with the level of detail for a building against the detail of a love scene. Also, the book needs another chapter of Gigi standing up for herself against her parents. And then an Epilogue for the 3 of them.
Good short read but for a short book levels of detail about things are misplaced.
I enjoyed reading this book however it took me a while to really get into it. I think Audrey did a good job writing this book. The characters were fun, and I put together really well.
