Here comes trouble…

Despite being raised by the notorious Murphy family, Terri Tempest has somehow turned out to be a lovely girl. But when Terri has enough of the abuse from her Uncle Michael, she runs away and takes refuge with Rina and Archie Taylor who own a local pub.

Terri knows she’s a Tempest by blood, but she’s terrified of her half-brothers Ricky and Jamie. Their reputations are even worse than the Murphys.

But when tragedy strikes at the pub, Terri blames herself. She knows there's only one way to get her revenge and justice and that means joining forces with her brothers and the family firm.

Can Terri prove she is Tempest by name and by nature? Or will she be the Tempests downfall?

Blood will be spilled, but Tempest blood is thicker than most.

This is the 3rd book in The Tempest series and we move away from Tracy Tempest and her sons Ricky & Jamie, although they are part of this story, instead, the focus is on Terri. She is a Tempest, but her mother Bianca is a Murphy. Bianca had an affair with Tracy's husband and Terri was the result. The mUrphy family are not the greatest and Terri's Uncle Michael doesn't hold back with his feelings towards her. But, then, neither does Bianca! When she decides that she has had enough she runs away and is taken in by the owners of a pub. Archie and Rina.

This is another explosive book in the series and it was great to see how the main Tempest family were going to react when Terri stepped into the picture. Terri has always been aware of who her family is but she has kept out of the way because they are The Tempests, they are trouble, and they are a strong family who rule their turf with a strong determination.

When another person decides to start making waves things start to change. Terri gets to see another side of people and she also gets to see what she can do. There are other people that are in this story from the previous books and the author does bring up past events to keep you up to speed. I have to say that you would be missing out on some great stories if you decide to read this one as a stand-alone because the previous books are brilliant.

Anyway, I digress... this book sees the family having to make a stand, but who is behind things and why is going to make for some very tense scenes. This author does not hold back, after all these a gangland crime books and so there is a certain amount of bloodshed, violence and anger. Saying that though, the author does get the balance right and goes so far with explanations and then leaves the reader's head to fill in the gaps!

The character of Terri is fabulous, she is vulnerable but when she finally has something to fight for then watch out. She is a character who has a lot to give and she shows that she can hold her own when it matters and she has found her niche and who she is. This is her story that sees her with nothing and making a stand for the right reasons and it is great to see. I do look forward to seeing what she gets up to next or how she is involved in future books as I know she is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Another brilliant story in this series, a fast-paced, addictive, gangland thriller through and through and one that I would definitely recommend.

Justice is the third book in the unputdownable gangland crime thriller based on the Tempest family . This book is based mainly around Terri Tempest who is the half sister of Ricky and Jamie Tempest. As with the first two books in the series I was pulled right into this book from the very beginning . Each chapter was a page turner and I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down. A fast paced and gritty thriller in a series that I absolutely love .

I really enjoy books by Kerry Kaya and this one is no exception. Justice is the third in the Tempest series and it grabbed me from the very first page, but it would help with who's who and who fits where if you read these from the beginning. (I know that's my war cry haha). The author delves into the gangland world again, a genre that she does so very well.

In Justice we learn more about Terri, a young girl who is half Tempest and half Murphy she is the product of an affair. Terri was treated badly by almost everyone who came into contact with her but ultimately she was just a young girl who was abused and disliked on the back of people's actions which resulted in her appearance into the world.

As often happens there was an incident that eventually became the straw that broke the camels back and she fled into the night barely dressed, not necessarily a good idea at night in Dagenham. Being taken in by a pub landlady initially for one night only shows Terri that there are kind people in the world, that not every one is like her uncle Michael, a nasty, vindictive piece of flotsam. This act of kindness causes problems for Rina and her husband but nonetheless they looked after her.

The two Tempest brothers, Jamie and Ricky have a lot going on, apparently there's a takeover bid and they have to get to the bottom of it sooner rather than later. but we all know how it's going to end. So I imagine Terri coming along is a case of bad timing but she soon proves that she's a Tempest in more than name alone.
Reading this my heart was in my mouth for a good portion of the book but what happened became the making of Terri Tempest, albeit with some heartbreak along the way.

Let's be honest and admit that when you read this genre you come to expect an element of violence that you and I might find to be either over the top or even extreme but sadly it is something that is part of the gang culture. If you like books by authors such as Mandasue Heller, Dreda Say Mitchell and of course Martina Cole then give Kerry Kaya a whirl I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

Thank you to the author Kerry Kaya, Boldwood books and Netgalley for the ARC. All opinions and reviews are mine an mine alone

This is Book 3 of the Tempest series, a set of books I have very much enjoyed reading. This maintains the pace and has strong characters.

The character focus shifts in the story and there is only a passing reference to Tracey Tempest and Max Hardcastle (who had prominent roles in the previous two books after Terry Tempest’s death in Book 1). Terri is the daughter of Bianca Murphy and Terry Tempest, and the family comes to know of her only later. There is also Raymond Cole – another of Terry’s sons out of wedlock, besides Ricky and Jamie with his wife Tracey. Terri hates her uncle Michael and escapes him – going over to stay and work with Archie Taylor and Rina who run a pub. Archie faces harassment from Frankie Gammon who threatens him to get him to regularly pay him protection money. Much against his wishes, Archie feels he has no choice but to turn to Ricky & Jamie.

Terri’s character is a refreshing & prominent one in this story, and I loved her vulnerable at the same time spunky character. I also liked the conflict which brews between Ricky, Jamie & Terri vs Raymond, Frankie & Michael. As expected of this genre, there is some gore, but it is limited to a few instances. I would have liked some more depth & complexity to Raymond’s character.

Overall, a good easy relaxing read.

My rating: 4.5 / 5.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this eARC.

This is the third book in the authors Tempest series and I found this to be a good, fast paced and thrilling read and a great addition to the series. The book focuses on Terri Tempest, daughter of Bianca and half sister of Ricky and Jamie. I really liked Terri, and also Rina who took her in after she left home. Terri slowly builds a relationship with her father's family and gets to know her half brothers. Not everyone is happy about this though and some want to see her and the Tempest family bought down at all costs. Add in the unexpected return of a previous character (who I loathed) with their own agenda and you're in for a great read. Justice is a well written book that flows easily, and I liked that the story is told through different characters and their perspectives. There are some characters I detested, and I was desperate for them to be found out and get their come uppance. The action and pacing in this book just doesn't let up and grabbed and held my interest from the first page to the last. Terri is determined to prove that she is a Tempest and her introduction into the family business is far from easy although she has support from her brothers. If you like gangland books you'll enjoy this one and I'd recommend it, although I'd say read the previous books so you know the characters and their histories from the start.

In gangland crimes yu can find two types of characters or maybe it's just one type after all...? I know this sounds very confusing, but let me explain how I see it. :)

There are the good ones who are in fact bad ones, and on the other side there are the bad ones who are in fact bad ones. What is the difference then?

Well, the good ones have other feelings than those connected with violence. They have a heart and are able to love other people. And I can assure you that they will move heaven and earth to protect them.

The bad ones don't have a heart and are not really capable of love towards other beings. The only have one true love called violence...

The Tempest and the Carter family are the good ones, but they are hard as nails when needed and soft as butter when needed. The Murphy's are hard as nails. Full stop.

So if you are a fan of this genre or are new to the genre, I would like to invite you to try one of this author's books. She really is one of my favourites in the gangland department.

I enjoyed this book enormously and I hope to be able to read the next one soon. I have to admit I sometimes had to swallow a few times, but the stories are so good that I just don't want to miss out on any of them. 5 stars

Thank you

Justice is the third book in the Tempest series and wow this is another fully action-packed episode in the series. We are introduced to Terri Tempest, who is half sister to the Tempest brothers and her mother is Bianca Murphy, who she lives with and Uncle Micheal. They have never really cared about her. As, she is the splitting mage of her father Terry. So, she gets the courage to leave them in the dead at night and slowly enters the Tempest family fold.
This is another gripping, edge of your seat thriller, full of action and family feuds and turf wars and love this like the others in the series. I couldn’t get enough. This is the continuation of the story, so I am glad I read the previous book before I read this one recently to know what is going on. If you need to read a book that you need to teeth into. I would read this. I highly recommend. 5 stars from me.

The Tempest series book three.
Blood will be spilled and justice will be done.
London Dagenham.
Terri Tempest uncle Michael is out after a long stretch in prison and he despised her, she's Terry Tempest daughter, she looks like him and carries his name.
Sixteen years old she has to get away right now, now consequences of her actions didn't bear thinking about, she and her brothers were strangers and always would be.
Jonny Carter is a handsome devil and Terri is smitten with him, but he knows he is no good for her.
Oh my goodness, this is one slap bang wallop read the best in the series, full of action, and not for the faint hearted,
Families that are all out for revenge as well as justice doing it their way.
Top class read once again from Kerry, loving this series.

A great third book in the Tempest family series. Terri Tempest doesn’t fit in anywhere, she is the result of an affair and her Mum thought she could cash in on the father’s wealth. Unfortunately Terry Tempest was murdered and so his daughter was brought up by her mother’s family who didn’t really want her. Her Uncle is in prison for the first 16 years of Terri’s life and blames her father for his prison sentence. Feeling unloved and unwanted Terri finds herself out on the streets in just her nightie. Luckily for her she is found by a kindly Landlady Rina who takes her in and shows her the first glimpse of kindness in her life. A lot goes on for Terri and this fast paced story has you gripped until the end.

My eyes were glued to the pages from the first to the last and the heart pounding action didn't let up. Terri Tempest is a strong willed character and after her upbringing she very surprisingly has a kind heart and is loyal. After having enough of her uncle Michael's abuse she runs away. Rina and Archie who run the pub take her in and then tragedy strikes and Terri joins forces with her half brothers. This is the most riveting story of this genre that I have read so far. I actually really liked a few characters and was concerned for their wellbeing and there were others who I despised and I wished for their demise. It has a little gore with revenge and secrets revealed. I enjoyed it so much that I want more!

So ….. thanks so much @rachelsrandomresources for allowing me to read the ARC for the 3rd instalment in the Tempest trilogy ! Terri knows she’s a Tempest by blood, but she’s terrified of her half-brothers Ricky and Jamie. Their reputations are even worse than the Murphys. ************************ I loved getting to know Terri in this book and felt Terri was the main character this time and not her brothers. Even though they were part of the story. I love Kerry’s style of writing and I genuinely stalk netgalley when I know she has a book coming out 🤣♥️. Look forward to your next book Kerry ….. no pressure 😜

This has been a series I have loved for the very first book.
Justice by Kerry Kaya is the third book in the unputdownable gangland crime thriller Tempest series and what another excellent book this was. It was full of twists and turns throughout but this book focuses on Terri Tempest, the daughter of Bianca and half sister of Ricky and Jamie. I really like this character. This was a book that I found hard to put down once I started to read it, the same as all Kerry's books and I highly recommend all of them.

Big Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and the author Kerry Kaya for my ARC.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Tempest family series. This latest instalment brings in Terri Tempest, the daughter of Bosnia Murphy and Terry Tempest. It was interesting to see her character develop from a scared, young adult after years of abuse at the hands of the Murphy clan to being a force to be reckoned with. I can see future plots lines involving her heavily.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Another great read from Kerry Kaya , it took me a few minutes to remember the characters from the earlier books and the introduction of Teri and the other new characters especially Rina who becomes more of a mother to Teri then her actual mum was and hopefully we’ll see more of them in the next book. This was one that had my attention from the start.

Absolutely loved this book, 3 book in the tempest series and the story goes from strength to strength

Don’t expect to get any work done as you won’t be able to put this book down. The story is not for the faint hearted. You do need to read the first two books first to understand the direction of the story.

Kerry Kaya has done it again with another fabulous gangland read! This hits the ground running and doesn’t stop. A gritty page turner that continues to follow the lives of the Tempest family. Terri Tempest has always known that she is the daughter of the notorious Terry Tempest. Having grown up within the equally notorious Murphy family she never imagined that she’d end up turning to her half- brothers Ricky and Jamie for help. They have a reputation and she is terrified of them but when tragedy strikes she joins forces with them and sets out to prove that she is not just a Tempest by name. The characters are all believable and I really liked Terri and how she was portrayed. Absolutely brilliant!!

3rd book in the ‘The Tempests’ series and the author and the characters,we have grown to love or hate or be wary of depending on who it was we are reading about, are back…..and back with a bang, creating chaos, dealing justice out as they see fit and coming to terms with family ‘problems’ that should have been dealt with before
It’s an explosive, full on,real life read,as always and Book 3 shows no signs of fatigue in the story,if anything the stakes are higher and the action even more chilling
I would say you need to read the previous 2 books as it is a continuation of the story and the characters…..a hard hitting no holds barred book that brings together all of this talented authors skills in creating this series.
