In 'The Assassin's Redemption', the fourth book in the "Bloodwite" series, C.L. Mecca masterfully weaves a tale that not only delves into the intricate world of vampires but also explores the complex dynamics of family, loyalty, and redemption. This is a story of Rowan Morley.
Of all the original vampires, he is said to be the deadliest. Rowan witnessed his mother's throat being slit in front of him by a Cheld, which made him merciless in his pursuit of eliminating any Cheld he learns about, without any exceptions. This includes Alessandra, who is a Cheld and his brother Kenton's wife, whom he once tried to kill.
Which makes him an unwelcome visitor to the small town of Stone Haven, where he has arrived after learning that the Sect, a vampire-killing organisation led by fanatical leader Seth Howell, is planning to descend on the sleepy town and kill his brother Kenton.
In Stone Haven, Rowan will face several challenges, including his brother's and his wife's distrust, as well as the presence of the Derricksons, another original vampire family who have been enemies of the Morleys for centuries, when he falls for Shayla Foster, a lovely 'little witch' and his sister-in-law's old friend.
The book also serves as a conclusion, at least for the time being, to the conflict between the original vampires and the Sect.

There is also a bonus short story included with this book: 'Forever Lover', which offers a glimpse into the lives of two characters, Laria and Drake, who have long been overshadowed by the limelight of their siblings.

The Assassin's Redemption
I have so missed the Bloodwite Series. I was so excited to see this book and I was not disappointed. Drake and Laria have danced around their feelings for centuries as the bitterness of the curse has controlled the two families. They live among humans trying to maintain a balance between the Cheld, the Vampires and humanity. They also are cautious because the Sect at times still cannot be fully trusted. No Spoilers, just a hearty recommendation to read this book, loved it!!
I have so missed the Bloodwite Series. I was so excited to see this book and I was not disappointed. Fantastic Series
Just when I thought I loved one couple, the continuation of this series had me at the edge of my seat, constantly thinking about it and excited to read. Loved this series and a beautiful ending.
