Icy words whispered in the night used to scare Lorelei Huntington. But that was before. Before her mother tried to have her killed. Before the magic of the swamp found its way into Lorelei's blood. Now the whispers and the cold breath of the dead are a comfort. Friends lost and family she misses. Until a small ghost haunting the castle warns her about the secrets of its bloodthirsty heritage. Whit's family are not who they appear to be. When Lorelei discovers the Midnight Coven, she is forced to choose between running and becoming something she has avoided--a Rose. Fortunately, the leader of the Devil's Roses has a way with words. With the help of Lorri, Dorian, Marcus, and Henry, Lorelei turns the tables on Whit's resourceful family. This time, they're the ones running and she's chasing-bringing the biggest monsters she can muster. But survival comes at a cost, one she isn't sure she is willing to pay.
Tara Brown has made me fall in love with these characters. Midnight Coven is the 7th book in The Devil's Roses Series and it just keeps getting better and better. I love Lorelei, she has become quite the character. During the first 6 books of this series I didn't care much for either Marcus or Dorian, although I did start liking Dorian more in the book Death, but this shows Dorian and Marcus 's true side and they are definitely growing on me. I can't wait to see what's in store for the Roses next.
This set was fantastic. Of course Dorian was my favorite. I almost never cry and I cried 13 times. 13. Plus dozens of other times where I almost cried. Loved the ending because it completes and sets up for the next set. I still have questions, but nothing major. A must read!!
Midnight Coven: A Dark Paranormal Fantasy (The Roses Book 7)
I have read every book in this series except for the last one and Ms. Brown is great author. She weaves a story that grabs your attention and won't let go. Definitely recommend this book/ series 📚… now onto book 8 the last book of series…
I am 18% in and holy crap, it completely changed from book 1. Now Whit's bad? Now I'm at 27%. OMG, that was freaking hilarious. I am laughing so hard, I'm crying.

I really enjoyed this book just as much as the first one! I just loved how 'the devils roses' where twined into the book. I also rejoiced the fact there was a lot more Marcus and Dorian! My two favorite characters.
The one was really good. I fell in love with Marcus and Lorilei while reading this book. I'm also happy to see the way Lorilei's story ties in to the rest of the series. I kept wondering how that was going to work. Great job as always TL.
Another great book from Tara Brown. I really love this series of books. I love all the characters and the twists and turns in this book. You couldn't ask for more enjoyable paranormal story.
Oh my heart! I don't even know what to say! I finished this book in like 12 hours! Could not put it down. I'm amazed how Tara Brown always outdoes herself!
