Realizing the disastrous match between her and a prince of House Trajan, unclaimed Omega Sierra Linden made a bargain with the enemy of Alpha Queen Mari Trajan, Lucius Dega, whose silver tongue and eyes tempt her—against her better judgment. But the reward, freedom to choose her own destiny, is worth it.
Now as they embark on the perilous journey by sea to reach the shores of Ordelpho, secrets and schemes threaten Sierra’s chances at finding that freedom, with danger lurking behind every corner. Dark forces are at play, along with players from a much higher source.
For Fadon Trajan and Servant Demos, finding Sierra is their top priority. Thwarted at every turn, finding her and getting her out of Lucius Dega’s clutches, however, soon becomes a matter of life and death.
And all the while, an ancient prophesy is being played throughout Titus, and the pieces on the board are almost in position. But if darkness has its say, the game will end as soon as it starts.
Delphos is the second book in the House Trajan Trilogy, a why-choose Omegaverse Epic Fantasy Romance.
This book was good. The story was really good and I will read the third.
That being said I hate that I had to give this book a 3 instead of a 4 because it would have benefitted either from an editor or having a better one.
There were spelling and grammatical errors throughout the book which usually I can disregard but what got me was the repeated misspelling of characters names both main characters as well as side characters. One side character to date I don’t know what her name actually is. Some spellings were used interchangeably between one paragraph and the next even.
I don’t recall the first book having this problem but maybe I was just overly drunk on a cruise when I read it.
The comprehensive list of names that side character was referred to as:
Brilliant second in the House Trajan series. The FMC is slightly annoying (she is only 18) and whilst she has a joy for life and wants her independence, she’s oblivious to reality and the ‘not so nice’ bits. The MMCs are pigheaded but devoted and that cliffhanger...w.t.f! Needs a really, really good proofread. 4.5 stars. Highly recommend. Where’s book three?!?
This series is truly epic!!!! I know there is so much more to learn about these characters and I’m here for it. Sierra is such a strong FMC and I can’t wait to find out how her story ends!!!!
I loved the second book in this series! The author really did well with this one. It was a journey of the FMC finding herself without constantly worrying about those around her. The character development was great, with continued plog and world development. So many unknowns to wait for in the third and final book.
