Fall in love on the shores of Lake Michigan with three full-length novels from the heartwarming, emotional Hope Springs series. Grumpy-sunshine, enemies to love, fake relationship, amnesia, found family, redemption―you’ll find it all, and more, in Hope Springs…where friends become family, faith heals hearts, and love lasts forever. Find a cozy spot…because once you settle into Hope Springs, you’ll never want to leave!

Not Until After a career-ending injury, the last place quarterback Levi Donovan wants to be is his hometown of Hope Springs. But his dad needs help with the family construction company, and Levi needs some time to figure out what to do next. When he meets Grace Calvano his first day back in town, things seem to be looking up. Until she flat-out turns down his offer of a date. And then he arrives at the bed-and-breakfast he’s supposed to help renovate…only to find that she’s the owner.

Not Until He’s on the verge of the perfect life when he meets the woman who changes everything…including his idea of what perfect means. Fifteen years after his sister tore his family apart, Cam finally has everything he thinks he wants. So he doesn’t appreciate the call from a complete stranger informing him that he needs to drop everything and fly to Hope Springs to care for the niece he didn’t even know he had. And yet, somehow he can’t say no. He’ll go to Hope Springs, make alternate arrangements for the girl, and get back to his real, nearly perfect life.
At least that’s the plan. Until he meets Kayla.

Not Until James came to Bethany’s rescue the day they met. So why can’t she seem to remember his name? And why can’t he seem to forget her? After surviving a brain aneurysm that left her with short-term memory problems, Bethany is happy to simply get through each day without forgetting to pack her daughter a lunch. She’s been a single mom since Ruby was born, and that’s the way she likes it. She’s found family in the large group of friends who have welcomed her in Hope Springs, and she doesn’t need a special someone. Especially not one as grumpy as James. But between his sister’s schemes and her daughter’s needs, it seems James and Bethany just can’t avoid each other…or the feelings they’re starting to develop.

I have three great loves: Jesus, my family, and books. And chocolate (okay, four great loves). I write fast-paced, emotional Christian fiction that weaves real-life problems, real-life people, and real-life faith. My characters may (okay, will) experience some heartache along the way, but I promise I'll always give them a happy ending.

I enjoyed reading all three of the books in this series!

Not Until Someday

I enjoyed reading Grace and Levi's story! Levi is not Grace's type or so she thinks. He drives up to Grace's house one day on his Harley to do renovations on Grace's grandfather's house to turn into a bed and breakfast. They both work on it together and though they are both different, they do come to like each other eventually. Grace has her own ideas of what she wants for her Mr. Right, but God has other plans. This is one of the best love stories I have ever read! It is very moving and entertaining. It is a very beautiful story of love, faith, family and friends. With Grace's help in turning Levi back to his faith was one of the most moving parts of all in this story! Also, the message in the book that love does what's best for others even if it hurts was very moving.

Not Until Now

I love the characters in the story. Kayla, who is a spunky, young woman witnesses a car accident and stops to see if she can help. She offers to help the little girl, Ruby, to find her next of kin. She also visits Ruby's mother who was injured in the accident in the hospital. She then finds Ruby's uncle Cam and connects with him. She tries to convince him to take care of the child. She and Cam do not hit it off right away. Kayla is waiting to find direction in her life after a job she was working in at a camp for disabled children closed its doors. She is waiting to be accepted on a mission trip.

Cam is a businessman who wants success and prestige. He has his life planned out for him, and he does not want to be burdened with a child, especially his sister's child. He does not have a good relationship with his sister. He does eventually find Ruby's dad and goes to visit to see what he is like. When he finds out when meeting Ruby's dad that he is a drug addict, he decides to take care of Ruby until her mother wakes up from the coma.

As Cam is taking care of Ruby, he realizes what he is missing in life. He enjoys her happy chatter and her joyful spirit. He also enjoys being in Hope Springs and the people in the community. He realizes he is missing something in his life.

Not Until Then

I love the message about forgiveness and how God can take any situation and work it out for the good.

This book is such a compassionate love story. I love the friendships in the book. The concern for James with the loss of his daughter. Bethany with her memory issues after her aneurysm, and Emma with her cancer diagnosis.

This is a warmhearted story of healing, hope and renewed faith.

What happens when we face disappointment? Do we pout? Do we run? Do we become angry or bitter? What happens when we disappoint those we love? These are the hard questions with deep answers that are featured in Not Until Someday. Levi is first smarmy and cocky. Thankfully, he meets Grace who isn't impressed...at all. Her strength of character and steadfast faith were evident, but Levi's transformation was remarkable. The author skillfully presents the evidence of a God who loves us even when it hurts and the the grace He extends to our unworthy souls. This is a story of faith, hope and love...but mostly grace extended because of a greater love than we can comprehend.
In Not Until Now we meet three characters in the midst of great trials. One is an innocent, one is a bystander and one is at a crossroads, but all three are greatly changed. The relationship Cam has with both Ruby and Kayla evolves as he allows God to work on his heart. I loved the ending of this book!
These characters are so flawed, so broken in ways, but so very relatable. Bethany has a past that could haunt her but instead drives her focus upward. She feels the pinch of her deficiency over and over again. She perceives judgment by others that creates a vulnerability in her soul but also highlights a sensitivity to the pain of others. James is hard, sad and closed. He’s done with people, done with God, just done. His pain is more than anyone should have to bear. But the hits keep on coming, over and over again. Ms. Bodden takes these characters through their sorrows and points all of us to a deeper walk in Christ. I appreciate how her works are realistic in scope. The characters aren’t perfect, they don’t have shiny exquisite lives, they don’t always do the right thing. In fact, sometimes they do the worst things, but she never leaves them without hope. The sermons included in this story are challenging but the one referencing Horatio Spafford is especially meaningful. Preacher Dan asks, “Is it well with your soul?” Hmmm.

A Triple Success

It's impossible to choose which book is my favorite in this triple set. There was so much to to think about how deeply God loves us in each story. Even though Levi had been a famous football player he was lonely and felt inadequate inside. He refused to open his heart to love until he met Grace. Just being herself she helped Levi find faith and love.
On the night he was supposed to propose to Danielle, step 1 in his plan for a perfect life, Cam was interrupted by a call from a woman he'd never met telling him he needed to come to Hope Springs to take care of a niece he didn't know he had because the sister he blamed for destroying their family was in a coma, and he was the only family Ruby had to take care of her. Cam had no idea of how to take care of a child, but little by little, along with some help from Kayla he and Ruby became family. But could he ever forgive Bethany for all the heart ache and destruction she'd caused? Somewhere along the way Cam realized what and who were truly important in life.
Against the medical odds Bethany did wake up and despite her memory problems with loving help from Cam and Kayla, her precious daughter Ruby, and the many friends God had given her in Hope Springs, Bethany radiated God's love and was a testament to His second chances. Despite her losses Bethany lived her faith in and appreciation for her living Savoir. God used her and Ruby to help James have hope that he might just take a second chance on love and a family rather than continuing to keep the protective wall around his heart so he'd never have to go through such anguish again. But just being around Bethany and Ruby the wall began having cracks appear that made it impossible to close off his heart again.
All three books showed that despite no matter how good we think our plans are God's plans are far superior. Sometimes we humans are a little slow and resistant to change. But God is patient and consistent in getting us pointed in the right direction. Read this set and learn how God loves and encourages us!

Not Until Someday

A heartwarming Christian romance which deals with real struggles: marrying a nonChristian, honouring your parents, and with overcoming guilt/accepting forgivenesss for past mistakes. I too made a list of what I was looking for in Mr. Right, after a poor decision! It felt very real as Levi struggled with whether God loved him, whether he could really trust that God had his best in mind, and how things like death could possibly be God’s best plan. I received a free copy of this book, with no obligation.

Not Until Now

I loved this cozy romance. We see again some familiar characters from the Hope Springs series … Kayla has just lost her job and is wondering where God is leading her. She goes to visit her brother and sister-in-law in Hope Springs. On the way, she witnesses a car accident, which leaves the mother, Bethany, in a coma, and a 7 year old, Ruby, without family … except for an uncle. Who doesn’t know she exists. Reluctantly, he comes to help out. But can he ever forgive his sister, Bethany, who ripped their family apart? Will Ruby melt his heart? More importantly, can God? Kayla is an independent woman who is determined to never marry. I was quickly drawn into the story, and into the lives of these people. The romance wasn’t formulaic, and I appreciated Kayla’s brother and sister-in-law who pointed out that one doesn’t lose part of oneself when they marry; they are completed. I also liked the exploration of the theme of forgiveness. I received a free copy of this book, with no obligation.

Not Until Then

This is a sweet Christian love story. It’s about overcoming hard things and realizing that God has a plan through it all. I liked that faith is the cornerstone of the relationship. I received a free copy of this book, with no obligation.

I had an Advance Readers Copy of each of these books when they first came out, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
Not Until Someday
What a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Valerie Bodden included themes of forgiveness, God’s grace, and dealing with disability in the plot of this book. The problems encountered were real and well handled, and added a great deal to the book. I would highly recommend this book and the series.
Not Until Now
Great addition to this series by Valerie Bodden. She incorporates a handicapped woman in the story and her independence which causes some problems for her to work out. The plot also centers on a man who had been living entirely for himself. When the two lives intersect interesting things happen. It’s a great read and you wouldn’t necessarily have to have read the other books in the series.
Not Until Then
Bethany has a 10 year old daughter and has survived a brain aneurism, but has short term memory loss. Her friend Emma’s brother James, a policeman has come to Hope Springs to recover from a gunshot wound and the loss of his daughter 5 years ago. The plot of this book includes trusting God through loss, and living with disabilities. This is a faith filled tenderhearted book well worth reading.

Christian, heartwarming, inspirational romances that always tug at my heart strings, cause a few tears and keep me reading far into the night because I cannot put her books down!

In Not Until Someday Grace's decisions do not please her mother; Levi's disappoints his father. Grace is sure Levi is Mr. Wrong, but maybe God has other ideas.

In Not Until Now Kayla is so strong, independent and does not let her wheelchair keep her from accomplishing things. Cam is a very successful businessman who hides a lot of hurt family wise.

In Not Until Then I am so glad Bethany had her Hope Springs family to help with her short term memory loss. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to try to raise a ten year old alone and with no day to day memory. I was glad to see James let go of some of his pain.

Hope Springs Books 7-9

This was great. My favorite, however, was the story of Bethany and James! A beautiful story of restoration and forgiveness. Just as I loved Ruby in the story of Kayla and Cam, she is even more lovable in this story. There is something special about this story and as always God is the Center for everyone!

Three clean, sweet, teaching small town romances with lots of community interacting, and lots of moments which touch the heart and inspire the spirit. I loved getting to know the Hope Springs community and especially the local, caring church family.

A great read which gives what it promises - some trauma, some heartache, but a happy ending.

Not Until Someday - Grace and Levi are definitely opposites but can they be what each other really needs? I loved the faith aspect of their story. This wasn't a rushed romance but a slow building relationship. A great addition to the serious. Loved May and Luke.

Not Until Now - A story that pulls at your heart, makes you smile, and gives you hope. Kayla is very determined to do everything for herself and definitely without a man. Cam is one self-centered man with unforgiveness in his heart. Enter Ruby. She was one of the most adorable little girls I have ever read about. Loved the focus on the Lord and how He is the only one who can truly forgive and enable us to forgive. Funny first encounter between Kayla and Cam that made me laugh. Of course there is angst but that tends to make good story. Amazing how the people we encounter can (in this case) inspire us to change our outlook, perspective and desires. The Lord can truly change people and these characters exhibited great change. Loved the ending.

Not Until Then - I am so glad Bethany got her own story. She has been through so much and survived. The messages of forgiveness and redemption was strong and encouraging. I cannot imagine living with short term memory loss as well as dealing with how others deal with it. Ruby was precious and one resilient little girl. James - so much heartache that only the Lord can truly heal. There were times of wit and humor in the mist of these heavy topics. Wonderful ending.

God was with them through it all

I love reading Christian romance. It is interesting to read about issues or struggles people face and how they are navigated differently when you're focused on God.

I love the way the story had the Christian background to it, and I loved all the characters and how they all fit together and solved their issues that everyone has.

Beautiful read

Such a sweet book and great characters. Such difficult life challenges for several of the characters. Forgiveness and new beginnings for each. Beautifully written.
