L A COTTON is USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of over forty mature young adult and new adult novels, LA COTTON is happiest writing the kind of books she loves to read: addictive stories full of teenage angst, tension, twists and turns.

Another amazing addition in this highly addictive series. I just love Lo and Rick. They are right up there with Sam and Mason and Ella and Reed in my opinion. New antagonists combine with familiar ones to add suspense and tension, and Lo has to dig deep to find inner strength and finally overcome her demons, in this latest installment. I'm very intrigued by Macey now and I look forward to her story. Kyle was hysterical as usual. All in all, another fab read.
Thanks to the author for providing an ARC of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing.
"I wanted to hold her up when she was weak and love her when she was lost. To be Lo's all because fuck only knew she'd become mine."
Oh, I had so much fun with this one! Hooked from the beginning until the very end. For me this was a close to perfect page-turner and if I would have had the time, I would have finished it in one sitting. Maverick and Lo are such vivid and livid characters, it's so easy to imagine them on a TV show you can't help but binge watch.
"Maverick had a fighter's heart. He would always fight for the things he wanted most."
I can't believe it how attached I became to the characters during this series. I remember starting the first book as a blind date and groaning inwardly when I found out this was a YA book, starting a series. I never expected falling so deep for Lo and Mav. Now I'm addicted yearning for more of them.
"Her lips were at the corner of my mouth now, hovering, barely touching. But I felt them all the way down to my soul."
Lo and Mav have an incredible development through the series. Seeing where they came from and how they manage and handle things in this fourth book is simply fantastic. Not only did they and their relationship grow, but they as individuals took a great step into adulthood.
"He'd stolen my heart. Taken it for his own. I'd let it go willingly because Maverick made me feel alive. He made me feel save and cherished and loved. Maverick was my saviour. But I realized now, if I wanted to move forward, this girl had to save herself."
Mav definitely made an impression. He leaves his footprints wherever he goes. Mostly in my heart, though (*wink*) In this fourth book, Mav finally let his anger issues back in his past and took on responsibility. He was strong when he needed to be. For himself, Lo and his friends. He didn't make rash decisions and he made them always with his heart and mind in sync.
"I don't want to fix you, or save you, or change you, London. I just want to love you."
I loved how this fourth book was more about Lo and what she still needed to overcome. Over the last books she was put back together by Maverick. Piece by piece. Yes, she grew and became stronger, but overall it was more like pushing the real problems behind because it was too hard to deal with them. In Wicked Games Lo needed to learn to face her problems. To see the strong girl she became and finally act like her. Her step into adulthood was the bigger one of both, but she made it with bravour. It was also great to see how her relationship with her father took a turn.
"But at the end of the day, what Lo and me had was real. Messy. Raw. Breathtakingly real."
Wicked Games is addicting from the first page to the last. Although, I had some mixed feelings while reading: On the one hand I couldn't read fast enough just to see what happens next and how everything turns out. However, on the other hand, I really dreaded to finish this book, as I know it will take a while now until I meet Lo and Mav again. So yeah, I'm pretty sad their story takes a break here but I'm happy it turned out so perfectly.
If you are into YA novels, I can only highly recommend reading this series! It got all what a romance readers heart longs for. It's funny, witty, thrilling, hot. It has a great storyline that keeps your eyes glued to the pages and attached to the characters. For a lack of better words I'd say, reading this series is like watching your favorite TV show.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I thoroughly enjoy this series and this was another great addition to the series. It was nice to see Lo and Maverick again with all the other characters. There was no couple angst in this book, which was nice (no misunderstandings, break ups, lack of communication - very refreshing) - Lo and Maverick were strong despite the outside influences trying to upset the apple cart. Maverick has grown in this series and that was shown in the way he dealt with Zac. I feel Lo has still some ways to go with being happy with herself after losing her mum and brother, but she is heading in the right direction and Maverick is 100% behind her.
I am confident that you will understand what I mean when I say that every so often you meet a book couple that you love as individuals and by fortunate happenstance they are also perfect together, and for each other.... this is not a regular occurrence: too often I like one protagonist more than the other or their relationship does not seem genuine, but, for me, Lo and Mav are the quintessentially ideal couple and for the record I love both of them equally, together and apart...
This series just keeps getting better and better... it deals with challenging and dark subject matter and tackles issues, that so many face, in a sensitive and emotionally intelligent way... what is particularly rewarding is the fact that whilst Lo and Mav are the central characters, thank goodness, and rightly so, the secondary characters are also wonderfully complex and well developed ... no matter which character is the main focus of the scene, I am invested and they all bring added depth to the story..
You can probably tell I am addicted to everything about this series... the concept, the setting and the cast members ... Each time I reach the end of the latest instalment I find myself immediately checking a) to make sure there are more books planned, and b) to identify when the next one is due... thankfully I do not have to say goodbye, just yet, and look forward to the next book with bated breath...... I received an advanced copy of this book from the author..
I liked this book better than part three, together with book 1 &2 it's my favorite in this series. And definatly the relation of Lo and her Dad needs to be solved. (I know things get better for Lo's and her fathers relationship, but there are still things that should be solved. Actually Lo tries to act the adult part whereas her father only explains things from his point of view and he seems not to be interested in Los POV....).
I'm not sure I can say that without sounding like I'm trying to be a surfer dude-ette. Yeah, I would take it back but...Kyle won't let me. He said something about screenshots being forever (or he would if he were reading this!)
The Stone-Princes aren't an average family. They are not the Brady Bunch. No, they are a billion times better! There is snark, sarcasm, wit, and love. love - hate, love, and tolerant love. The Stone-Princes may be more than you can handle but I know I would consider helping bury a body to be a part of this family because once you are family...YOU ARE FAMILY!
I have been a nervous wreck since LA Cotton released a teaser chunk of a random not so happy scene. I was angry. I went a little Hulk smash on my pillows. I even resorted to rocking in the corner because these guys are my family. I feel everything for Lo and Rick. I need their happily ever after. But LA Cotton likes to tease, taunt, and show you she's in control, so watch out for audible gasping, rage shaking, and the need to smack someone. All of those are signs that Wicked Games is under your skin. If these symptoms continue, you have two options: - keep reading and hope for the best - keep reading while kicking ass and taking names
Nothing else will help. Symptoms may subside but arise at a later time when you are dwelling or taken back to the story. It is nothing to be worried about. However, if you are experiencing withdrawal or symptoms of separation anxiety, please consider hitting Barnes & Noble for paperbacks- no one will be able to take them away from you.
This has been a public service announcement brought to you by...
I'll be honest - I was a bit unsure about the idea of the fourth book in a series being the book that revisited the main two characters form books one and two!
Holy hell were my concerns laid to complete rest!
this could maybe be one of my faves form this series!@
We were so invested in Rick and lo from the get go that this book was full of so much angst and depth that it only added to the connection we already knew these two had!
rick is off to college and lo is still at high school for another year with Kyle and Laurie...they are faced with the same issues most couples feel when one is leaving and the other is staying put...
but....
and there is always a big but....
this book was so MUCH more than just distance separating two couple in love!
The introduction to the college villain added such an element of mystery to this book that you will garb your attention from the get go.
I'll be honest - I am completed and utterly addicted to everything about this series!
Luckily everything la cotton puts to paper is just a thing of beauty!
She writes with such an ease that you are transported into the story before you can finish the first page!
The back story and the level of grit and emotions in this book is so exciting - I'd safely say I'd be happy if this series continued on for ever!
Lianne Cotton you are a go to author that ticks every box with every book you write!
I adore your writing, your characters and the amount of heart that goes into each of your tales!
By far - Rick and Lo are one of my favourite couples and I'd happily read another 10 books about them!
I cannot tell you how much I love these two! They don't seem to catch a break. But I delight in the fact that their story isn't over and I get to spend more time with them.
I just love them sm and this series and almost all the characters. I have no doubt that Lianne will make me fall in love with the ones I don't quite love yet *cough cough* Macey *cough cough*
If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend it!
What can I say about Wicked Games? Honestly, it’s pretty much my favourite book of the series so far, and probably—okay I’m like 99% sure—my favourite book of Lianne Cotton’s to date.
It’s a great story. Full of angst, heartache, love, all the feels. But it’s more than that. The characters have progressed so much since book 1. There are things they’ve done in this book and I’ve thought “The old Maverick/Lo would never have dealt with it like that before.” They bring out the best in each other. They have a love so fierce and intense...Yes, they have their ups and downs like any normal couple, but they’ve come so far and been through so much. They say “what doesn’t break you makes you stronger” and in this case, it’s definitely true. They are stronger than ever. It’s been such an exhausting journey with them on their emotional roller coaster since book 1. It’s really tugged at my heartstrings, how each of them have had their separate issues they had to resolve and they’ve had issues together, but they’ve faced it all head on and have proved their relationship can and will go the distance.
I love college romance novels. Especially when they are written by Lianne Cotton. Back before I was introduced to the inhabitants of Wicked Bay, I would have said that Chastity Falls was my favourite place to go and revisit if I was in a book funk. But now, that’s in contention. I have fallen head over heels in love with Wicked Bay. Even with Caitlin Holloway always being in the background.
Sometimes love really does conquer all and Marverick and Lo prove that, time and time again. But that makes me worry. What more could be in store for them? What other obstacles will they have to obliterate? Whatever happens, they are stronger together and I hope they can overcome anything that might be thrown at them.
As always with Lianne, this book was brilliantly written. It packed a mean punch. Lianne writes all these characters brilliantly. Whether they are the good guy or the bad guy, you always get a well rounded, well written character.
I don’t really know what else to say, except that I truly have a soft spot in my heart for Maverick Prince. I started this series saying “I don’t like relationships between any step-related people.” At the time, that was true. It could be step-brother/sister/cousin it wouldn’t matter, I *knew* I couldn’t and wouldn’t enjoy that type of thing. BUT...and there’s a big but...Lianne totally turned that on its head. I still don’t think I could do the step-brother/sister thing, but cousins, I can manage - or at least I can with Rick and Lo. I’d probably like them no matter what. So thank you Lianne for opening my eyes and teaching me to enjoy something I wouldn’t have touched with a ten foot barge pole before Wicked Bay came into my life.
If you haven’t read this series, you don’t know what you’re missing. Seriously, I couldn’t put these books down. I get so absorbed in the story, it feels like it’s unfolding around me. And I love it. I love it when a book can make me feel, and this series really makes me feel!
A Raw, Captivating & Pulse Pounding 4.5 Star Read!! 🌟
Wow, this book really takes the reader on a journey. It left my head spinning & my heart twisting!! This could well be the last time Rick & Lo get their own full book so it made it even more pulse pounding 😳
Rick goes off to start at SU, finally out from under his father's blackmail 🙂 His High School Coach had warned him that the Captain at his new team had a bad reputation but he's not too concerned. He's eventually bested all his enemies so he knows he can deal with him if he needs to. BUT he's different now, he doesn't want trouble, he just wants to play basketball & gain his degree 💙
Lo hates not having Rick with her. Stella & Beth are now living in her house & she can't bare to even think about liking them, it would feel like she was being disloyal & a betrayal, of sorts, to her late Mum & Brother!! Her relationship with her Dad is almost non existent now. And Caitlin Holloway is back ready to cause trouble as soon as School starts - sigh 🙄🙁 Lo loses herself somewhat in this book. It's raw, unsettling but oh so honest & beautifully written by the Author!! Anyone that has lost a loved one will understand this to some extent I think 😢💕
Rick actually makes some friends & being 'a new man' (😂) he even opens up a bit 🙂 They have a really solid basis for long lasting friendships, I believe 👍 He faces some extremely tough & ugly choices. They may even impact his relationship 😳
Kyle & Laurie make some hilarious & always supportive appearances. The 3 sisters, halves & step, make cameos. (Macey is clearly going through A LOT 😢 She seems to be in SO much pain & full of anger!) All of the parents, except Rick & Macey's Dad, thankfully, 😌🙏 make appearances too.
Wicked Games is a real page turner. It captivated me from start to finish. This series has been an absolute pleasure to read, I can't wait for more 😍
There is one thing i can say about an LA Cotton book when i finished it, I’m not disappointed and when it’s in one of your favorite series with the original couple getting another story i was excited.
This book was awesome loved everything about it with all the high school and college drama it made the book exciting and had me wanting to know what lies and Timor’s could happen to try break up Lo and Maverick and make thier life really hard being seperate
I loved be seeing this next chapter in their lives and see how hard they would fight for thier love and future, it was such a great story.
I loved Mavericks love that he had for Lo and he was so possessive it just read so sexy and i really felt for Lo and the struggles she was facing.
I love that we still got Laurie and Kyle and now his sister but it was so good to read them and the protection Kyle felt for the girls.
If your a fan of the wicked series and of L.A. Cotton then you will love this books aswell.
I received the advance complimentary copy of this book and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Wicked Games is a really great book and the fourth in the series. It's most likely the last Maverick and Lo book so it's a little bittersweet of a read. This story like the others in this series are told through Dual Points of View of Lo and Maverick. Maverick is off to Steinbeck University and Lo is now a senior at school.
Lo and Maverick had a wonderful summer together but now they have to be apart and it's hard. Lo is doing better in some things but she has a problem with moving forward and thinking about the future. She misses her mother and brother but she also feels guilt having a life and moving forward without them. She tries what she can to get through things like get a part time job waitressing, etc.
Maverick feels overwhelmed a little with college and being away from Lo. He worries that the dyslexia's going to make it hard and having to deal with Zac Lowell. Zac's the basketball captain and he thinks he's god and his father has gotten him out of so many troubles. Not being able to see Lo and spend time with her more makes it really hard. Maverick has to deal with Zac and his people doing what they can to try to break him and the others.
Lo and Maverick are tough people and they can handle things on their own. But they are always better when they are together and united. They each need to work on themselves and their problems but they are a wonderful team.
Looking forward to the next book in this series - Macey's book.
Let me tell you, I just can't get enough of these characters! Maverick and Lo are definitely one of my favorite book couples. Wicked Games is another great book in the Wicked Bay series!
After going through everything they've gone through so far in the series, you'd think there isn't anything left. In Wicked Games, Maverick is off to college and Lo is starting her Senior year of high school. He's struggling with being away from Lo, dealing with classes and his dyslexia, and the captain of the basketball team. She is struggling with not being with him, her dad and his relationship with Stella, and her doubts about going to college. There are some surprises and some twists in this story so get ready for the ride!
This book is full of angst, love, drama.... basically all the things I love in a book and exactly what I know the author delivers with each book she writes. Can't wait to see what she has in store for all of us in the next book Wicked Needs!!
I was kindly provided with an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have given Wicked Games FIVE stars.
I have missed Maverick and Lo... It was great to be back in Wicked Bay.
Maverick and Lo are thee couple! Over the past few books I have come to fall in love them and will keep reading their story as long as the author keeps writing them.
This is one if my favourite series, L.A Cotton's writing style has you biting your nails and keeps you on the edge of your seat from the very first word. Her writing style makes for addictive reading and I could not put it down. Once again this charming couple is thrown into turmoil and their relationship is tested in ways that neither will see coming.
Fans of this series will undoubtedly love this book and if you haven't started it yet, what are you waiting for? You are missing out!
It is great to be back with Maverick and Lo in this new book from Wicked Bay where its the end of the summer. Its been a summer of togetherness for Maverick and Lo but with Maverick just about to leave for SU to start his basketball scholarship and join the Steinbeck Scorpions life is about to change again for these two. I just love these two characters and to watch them grow in this book is just wonderful. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. The author had me with every word she gave us with this installment of this series as Maverick and Lo struggle with being apart. I can’t wait until the next book to see where the author will take us too next. I would love to learn more about Marcy as I feel she is keeping a big story from her family. It just lovely to read and feel the love that Maverick and Lo have for each other even at this young age and to travel the journey with them. This is a journey the author is giving us with her wonderful words and descriptions.
I have to admit, after reading the first couple of books in this series and seeing how Maverick initially was, I saw this book going in a completely different way. I really liked the way this author took it though. She made Maverick into the bigger and better person that he is. You can't help but be proud of him. You also can't help but love the way that he loves Lo. He's all in and completely devoted to her. Then there was Lo. My heart broke for her. She's been struggling throughout this whole series and to see her issues surface again; to see her fears and struggles is heartbreaking. She's such an amazing person that it's hard watching her fall. And that twist, I honestly didn't see that one coming. But I loved the outcome. I despise bullies and I love seeing them get what is coming to them. These two are perfect for each other. They love so deeply for each other and for their families. I'll be sad to see them go but I look forward to catching up with them in future stories about this family. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
I'm so happy to be back with these guys especially Maverick and Lo. I love them all but Lo and Maverick are fast turning into one of my favourite couples.
Maverick is starting at college and what will hopefully be the first step of living his dream of playing professional basketball. Lo will be at home doing her final year of school. After everything the couple have faced they are finally in a good place but how will this separation impact their relationship.
Of course Maverick finds trouble but this time he's not the instigator. We see just how much he's grown as a person over the last few books. The author touches on a very real subject that affects lots of young people I felt this was tackled really well.
Lo is struggling not just with Mav being away, she has had so much to deal with and I personally never felt she had grieved properly. I'm going to say it again, her dad is a knob at times it's like he forgets he has a daughter who needs him.
I loved reading about how as a couple they deal with their issues and the support of their little possy. I just love them all, I'm not sure I'll ever want to stop reading about them.
So let me just start with how much I love Lo and Rick. I remember when I read the very first one as a blind book in a group called quirky. Instantly I fell in love with these characters. To watch them grow over the course of the 4 books, its been an incredible journey. But this book they really grew. Lo maybe the most. It was so good to see her finally start to let go and come out of her shell. The thing with Caitlin and with Liam... man I was so proud of my girl. and Rick... the way he handled Zac... just wow. Gone is the old Rick. In his place is a new even better Rick. My favorite new character was Darnell. Boy was he a hoot. A good rival for funny jokester with Kyle. I think Kyle is still my favorite though Darnell did come in a close second for funniest. Zac I just wanted to punch, repeatedly, with a chair. I honestly can't wait for more. I know that this is probably the last book to really focus on Lo and Rick, but I know they will make cameos and I really really really cannot wait for Maceys. I need to know what's going on with that girl. Thanks LA Cotton for another wonderful book in the Wicked Bay series.
Basketball was Maverick's world until Lo. Now he has everything his heart wants. Getting into college on his own, winning a position on the Steinbeck Scorpions, getting out from under his father's control, and loving his girl. It should all be perfect but the games aren't over yet. The moment he steps on campus, he's a target. Just because you're teammates, doesn't make you on the same side. Lo is alone again. Sure she has Kyle and Laurie but they are a couple, sure of their plans. She has her father but his life is with Stella and Beth. She has Maverick but he's at school. So she's surrounded by people but she's alone. Except for the demons she never faced.
I love Wicked Bay. I love the Prince-Stones and all of the assorted characters but for me, the stars of this series will always be Mav and Lo. They make it for me. I love their brokenness, their inner demons, their struggles. I love their fight, their hidden strengths. I love their united souls and the fact that they are so clearly meant to be. So obviously, I was eager for more of my favorite couple. I was not disappointed. So much angst, so much emotion. Distance wasn't only a geographical concern. Enemies weren't only jealous rivals this time but from within. Maverick may have silenced his inner demons when he fell in love with Lo but she still had to face her ghosts. Without Maverick to keep her strong, Lo's mind became her enemy; full of self-doubts and revisiting past hurts. Self-sabotage became a true concern. Add in old enemies, family concerns, and worries for Maverick's safety and it definitely wasn't the ideal start to a senior year. Maverick realized that Lo was struggling and was unwavering with his love, devotion, and support but words alone can't soothe a hurting soul. And Mav had his own battle to fight on campus to make certain the team was what he wanted it/needed it to be. It was time for Lo to find her own self and strength again anyway so it was best she had time on her own even if it felt wrong. And when the time came that she needed Mav, he was there. This was a turning point for their future. My fears for them were put to rest and my love for them grew.
I enjoy the rest of the cast. Laurie and Kyle, Summer and Nick, Kiera, and the new teammates, Darnell and Jamie. I cannot tolerate Lo's father and by association Stella. This man has earned himself a firm position on the sideline of Lo's life. Zac and Caitlin make for perfect adversaries. Nasty pieces of work. Maybe they will one day meet and find happiness in making each other miserable! Now I am ready for Macey. I have hated her in the past but now her pain and anger are obviously symptoms of a huge problem. I want her book!
Maverick Prince and Eloise Stone thought the fight was over and the worst thing they had to worry about was being apart for the next few months when Maverick started college and Lo finished out her senior year of high school. The couldn’t have been more wrong.
All Maverick wants in to play basketball. He’s ready to tackle his classes and get back on the court. He wasn’t prepared for Zac Lowell, the narcissistic and sadistic team captain that won’t stop until Maverick’s just as broken as the rest of his new teammates. With out of control hazing and humiliation, Maverick knows it’s up to him to take the team back and get rid of Zac . . . if he can make it through what’s being thrown his way.
Lo just wants to make it through her senior without any drama. Caitlin Holloway has other plans . . . which include ruining Lo’s life in any way she can. Struggling to deal with being separated from Maverick, Lo’s also still trying to adjust to losing her mother and brother, moving halfway around the world with her father, who jumped into a new relationship and navigating her way through Wicked Bay High. Her relationship with Maverick is the one thing that is holding her together and she’s terrified of what he’s facing at Steinbeck as well as where she’ll fit in with his new lifestyle.
Both Maverick and Lo are in for the fight of their lives as they struggle to do what’s right for themselves and those depending on them. Will their love be able to survive?
L.A. Cotton continues to pull readers into her world of Wicked Bay. It’s a world of angst and unexpected enemies and alliances. Of friendship and teammates that have your back and love that mends broken hearts and make you whole again.
Maverick Prince may be young, but he knows what he wants in life and who he wants it with. From the very beginning, he's known that Eloise "London" Stone is it for him and he's willing to do whatever he takes to make sure they stay together. When Lo struggles to deal with everything that’s happened to her, Maverick figures out how to give her exactly what she needs, and boy is it awesome to watch Lo shine again!
Wicked Games was a thrilling installment of the Wicked Bay series. L.A. Cotton continues to bring unexpected depth to what could be a cheesy young adult romance. 5 stars!
A great return to Wicked Bay for a catch up on Lo and Maverick’s story. A ya book but it isn’t an innocent story, these two characters have been but through the ringer from there families and peers throughout there history with lies and games that leave hurt and betrayal behind but will this couple eventually get the future they deserve!
Maverick is finally at college playing Basketball and living what should be his dream but when the captain of the team takes an immediate dislike to him things get harder than he has ever faced before but has Maverick grown up enough to handle it the right way or will he blow his future and return to the Bad boy that we all know him so well for! Lo feels lost and left behind now Mavericks gone to college she doesn’t quite know where she belongs anymore, her dads betrayals keep adding up and she knows something is going on with Maverick as well, but when her nemesis decided she wants to take her games to a whole new level for there senior year Lo knows she can’t rely on others anymore she needs to stand up for herself!
A fabulous story filled with teen angst and a love the characters know is truly special that they need to use everything they can to fight for it! I loved catching up with Kyle,Laurie and the rest of Wicked Bay characters and hope we get more from them in the future because my addiction to these books is far from over!
Yet again L.A. Cotton takes us on a rollercoaster ride in Wicked Bay with this passionate couple. Maverick and Lo are meant for each other but will Maverick starting college cause cracks to appear in their relationship? I love this couple... they fiercely love but they also fiercely fight to protect the ones they love. There are new enemies at SU and Maverick is quickly pulled into the sort of games he wasn't expecting.. all he wants is to play basketball but it looks as though there will be battles to fight first. I love the twists and turns that L.A. brings in to keep you on the edge of your seat and turning those pages. What has Maverick got planned? I love the development of Maverick's character and I love the surprising direction that the author takes this story in. Lo is still fighting her demons too but yet again, with understanding, the author brings Lo's story to a turning point and has the reader hurting with her, and rooting for her to find the healing she needs and so deserves. As always love the side characters, great to see the lovable Kyle up to his usual antics and the new faces at SU, Jamie and Darnell, who show another side to Maverick. Another fantastic five star read that I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of.
Lo and Maverick spent a summer in their own little word, now with Maverick having to go to college, both, of them, are worried how they will handle it. Lo sees Maverick with the team Captain doing things she doesn’t like, but when Maverick asks for her trust, Lo gives it to him. With everything going on and Maverick not there to anchor her, Lo starts to think more about her brother and mother, and everything that has gone on in the last year, Maverick knows that he can’t do this for Lo, she has to work through everything by herself to come out on the other side stronger. Lo and Maverick both grow over their time apart with Maverick dealing with the team captain and what he does in a way no one ever thought possible. When their past confronts them, Maverick, knows that Lo needs to handle it herself and not have him fight all her battles for her, as much as he wants to. I loved the ending when Lo shocked him unintentionally, but needed the answer he gave her.
Wicked Games (Wicked Bay #4) A YA /NA crossover series that is trendy & leaves you with a sweet tooth craving more. We revisit the main two characters from book one and two. Maverick and Eloise (Lo) love saga continues in this addition that is brimming with so much ansgt and depth that it makes the connection these two already have even more stronger. Dealing with being broken, inner demons, and their struggles as well as there inner strength & fight to reach their goals. With the addition of new supporting character's as well as old supporting character's new drama & angst unfold. A bit of mystery & suspense intertwined into the plot leaving you with a fixation. With witty banter & humour thrown in the mix. I'm so looking forward to reading the next novel in this highly addictive series which is about Macey Prince. A fabulous YA /NA crossover series that is one of my favourites.
Yay! More Lo and Maverick! I loved this book and devoured the continuation of these two’s story.
Having followed Lo and Maverick from the very start of their journey, things are changing, with Mav going off to college and Lo still having another year of high school.
Maverick has to get used to his new surroundings, new environment, and most of all his new Basketball team he will be playing for. But of course there are obstacles, with new friends and new enemies plus the fact he’s missing Lo. One thing he doesn’t want is to get caught up in college drama and politics; but he may not have a choice.
Mavericks ride isn’t an easy one. Add in the fact that Lo is back at home, yes she still has Kyle and Laurie for support, but it’s not the same as if her boyfriend was with her. Lo misses Maverick, and with so many things happening in her own life, with her stepmom and Beth moving in with her and her Dad, things can be a little strained and uncomfortable.
With appearances from enemies past and present, old and new, plus everything that is changing around all the characters this story is full of the twists and turns we hope to get from LA Cotton.
We visit our favourite characters, plus some new secondary characters thrown into the mix which are great. A couple of Mav’s new team mates are brilliant!
Another brilliant story in the Wicked Bay series with all the drama, excitement, suspense and fun we expect from this author!! A really enjoyable read.
Another 5 star read in an already amazing series! I love love love the whole Wicked Bay Crew but Lo and Maverick will always have my heart. I love them both separately and together they melt my heart and have my swooning all over the place. Once again Cotton sucked me right back into this world she has created and I never want to leave. This series just gets better with each new release and I am addicted. This one has Maverick off to play basketball in college and Lo still in Wicked Bay with one more year of highschool left. Wicked Games is so full of angst that my stomach was in knots and I had to keep turning those pages because I just had to know. I am in love with this entire series and I cannot wait to see what comes next!
I have said it with everyone one of these books....I typically don't read a lot of romance that is high school/early college, but LA Cotton's Chastity Falls pulled me in and Wicked Bay has continued the tradition! Lo and Maverick are back in Wicked Games and it's ohhhh so good!
I love this world and these complex characters. You can see how Maverick and Lo have grown through the books, but they still have so much growth and healing to do both by themselves and as a couple. I loved this latest installment. I hope there is so much more to come in this world. The characters are complex and juicy and the writing sucks you in. I didn't want to put it down! I'm a Wicked addict! Bring on the next book!
Book four is Maverick and Lo story of what happens when he goes of to college. Maverick is struggling being without Lo but making it even worse is his obnoxious team mate who is making all there life’s a nightmare. Lo is struggling as well without Maverick and everything that’s happened before and living without her mum and brother and her dad moving in a new girlfriend and seeing him move on with life so easily and quickly. This is a fantastic series with amazing characters that you will love. I’d highly recommend as a must read.
Amazing addition to this series!! Poor Lo and Maverick...will they EVER get their happy ending?? Maverick is starting his freshman year in college, while Lo is finishing her senior year of high school, so they have to deal with the whole long distance relationship issue, as well as a whole new set of bullies. And of course Caitlyn is still a thorn in Lo’s side. So. Much. Drama!! I was totally hooked from the first page to the last! The Wicked Bay series is an automatic one click for me...I can’t wait to see what the next book has in store for this crew!! ❤️
This is the 4th book in this phenomenal series. Things have changed for Rick and Lo now that he is away at college, and she still has another year of school in front of her. The distance is becoming challenging as outside influences are at play. No spoilers though; this is a definite must read series, you will not be disappointed. This is another beautiful story from this talented author, which is filled with emotions, angst, and is a gritty and powerful read. This author gives her all into her characters, which is what ensures that all of her novels are engaging and captivating page turners. I cannot wait to read more in this series, and cannot recommend this authors’ work highly enough.
