FINALLY ... we get answers to the mystery introduced in the first two books of this trilogy, and the answers? Well, they pretty much sucked. After being led to believe that one guy is the bad guy for the entire trilogy, it turns out that there is more to the story, and the story is so convoluted and extraordinary that it would rival the sort of story you might read in a sensationalist tabloid. I wish I could say that finding the answers was satisfying, but I thought it was so sinister and over the top that it kind of ruined the whole thing. I would have loved a simpler and more nuanced villain. I would have loved there to be more nuance in the dangerous moments at the conclusion of the story. I would have loved for the mystery to be drug out a little more than it was. Sure, it took three books to solve things, but the mystery and danger barely appeared in most of the story. It seemed like more of an afterthought instead of something that could have really deepened this story and made it more gripping.

As for the Creed-Esme dynamic ... hooray for happy endings, I guess, but I never really felt much depth to their relationship. Maybe it's because they were relegated to secret quickies whenever they got the chance to break some palace rules and find time to be together. Sure, we're told that they are themselves when they are together in a way that they can't be due to the rigid palace expectations. But I never felt a depth of connection with these two that made me completely root for them as a couple. It was fine. I did end up basically enjoying the story, but I was sucked in by the need to know the ending of the mystery more than the need to have these two find a way to make their love flow. I'll give it three stars. I liked it well enough in the end.

This is the final installment in the Broken Crown Trilogy. I recommend reading the first two in the series before this one.
I know I've said how much I loved  each of the other books in the series. For many different reasons, this one takes the cake.
It's so all consuming. It's extremely addictive. Action packed, absolutely devastating. So incredibly hot.  This book has so many twists to it that when you finally find out what is goin on, it blows your mind then comes back for seconds.
Creed and Esme continue to find a way to be in each other's lives. What cost would be considered too much?  Trying to keep the Princess safe is Creeds priority but can he succeed?
Trying to solve the crimes committed throughout the series, Creed and the royal security team go to great lengths, that aren't always done by the books.
Super crazy. Super addictive. Keeps you guessing what you thin you know all while scorching scenes drive you wild.
Truly one of the best series I've ever read. This did not disappoint.  It was everything I didn't know I wanted.  Amazing. 5 stars.

Oh how I love Esme and Creed! Creed is my MAN! How could you not love a man who will protect you know matter what. It may be part of his duties to protect the Crown at all cost but he has protected Esme's heart for a long time. But now it's time to take his chance on love...love with Esme? I love T.K. Leigh and her characters that she brings to life. Suspense and romance is my addiction and Ms. Leigh knows exactly how to keep me craving more!

Broken Crown by T.K. Leigh is book Three in the Broken Crown Trilogy. This book conclusions their story of Esme and Creed. There story started in the 'Royal Creed' then continues into the second book 'Fallen Knight'. In addition there is a prequel called 'Forbidden Proposal' that goes along with this Trilogy. Time has past between the two and this book will bring their story back together. Enjoyed this Trilogy!!

Ooh man what a conclusion this was!! So many shocking details come out in this book; some you may have guessed, some you guessed wrong, and some you wouldn’t have even fathomed. TK definitely keeps you on your toes as you read the pages! I think I held my breath the whole way through but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

BROKEN CROWN - by T.K. Leigh

Broken Crown is the third book in the Broken Crown Trilogy. You definitely will want to read the first two books in the series. I’ve read books #1 & #2 and loved them both. Book #3 is all-consuming, packed with shocking details and intense passion which will constantly have you on the edge of your seat. In most books I have this sixth sense as to what will happen next but not with T.K. Leigh’s books, she definitely knows how to keep the mystery going till the very end.
In book three Esme and Creed continue their quest to be together. Unfortunately there are unknown powers that have been working against them all these years. Moreover, Creed is determined to keep Princess Esme safe. As always T.K.Leigh keeps you in suspense till the end. You’re going to love Broken Crown the conclusion to the Broken Crown Trilogy.
I was given an ARC for an honest review.

After reading the first part I was sold. Now I had the opportunity to read the entire series in 1 book, so I no longer had to wait for other parts, which was very nice.

The story is about Princess Esme and her forbidden love for Creed.
Creed is an ordinary man with no title or status and he can never be hers. But he could be the man she chooses to give her virginity to after being married off by her family. A love that is not allowed...but that does arise.
There is more going on outside of a love story; a disappearance of a woman, the ex-girlfriend of the man she is about to marry. Part 1 ends in tears and Esme ends the fake engagement and goes to study in Paris. Creed has become inaccessible to her when he takes a seat in the royal guard.
Part 2 passes effortlessly when almost 10 years have passed. Creed lives with his deceased brother's fiancée to help her raise his nephew. Occasionally they share a bed, but both with a different name on their lips. Creed realizes that this relationship is toxic and prevents them from moving on with their lives, but he has no other woman in mind so he lets everything take its course. Until Esme gets back.
It took a long time, but eventually Esme was able to pick up her life and even found a new love. She travels with him to Belmont. And sees Creed and realizes that she has never forgotten him. Avoiding each other is all both want, but the feelings of lust and love arise when there are all kinds of dangerous moments where it seems that someone is out to kill Esme.
Her relationship is doomed to failure and once again Esme is alone, but Creed is still with Rory and his nephew AJ. Creed revisits the accident that led to the death of Adam, his brother, unconvinced that the designated culprit did it.
Part 3 continues where part 2 left off. Creed and Esme are once again involved in a romance, but there is more to it than just their love for each other. In the stories surrounding Adam's death, the man appears again and again with an ugly scar and he seems to focus on Esme.
This part is more exciting than the previous parts and leads to a denouement; too bizarre for words but also fitting in a world where society thinks there are no rules for them.

A wonderful trilogy where the boundaries between nobility and commoners become blurred under love and a murderer is caught who did everything out of greed.

Broken Crown (Broken Crown Trilogy #3)

“Today, Tomorrow, Always”
A master of her craft T. K. Leigh will always be a go-to “one-click” must-read author. Her stories are guaranteed to deliver an emotional edge-of-your-seat ride. Giving you dynamic multidimensional characters you can’t help falling in love with. Wrapped in suspenseful intriguing plots that suck you in and refuse to let go.

Her latest work Broken Crown Trilogy once again knocks it out of the park. Giving readers a big screen-worthy experience that will leave you with a book hangover from hell.

Book 3 for which the series is named Broken Crown gives us the bittersweet conclusion to the captivating journey that is Esme and Creed’s story.

Life and death, truth and treachery.
“Protect the crown at all cost.”

It does not disappoint. The mind-blowing twists and turns you never saw coming make it unputdownable. It has something for everyone. Regency, family, friendship, romance, mystery and suspense, secrets and lies, heartache and loss. The most heart-wrenching part might be I’m not ready to say goodbye. I truly hope we will see more of these two in the future.

*Should not be read as a stand-alone. Start with book 1 Royal Creed
Royal Creed (Broken Crown Trilogy #1)
A Story of forbidden love. One bound by duty to the crown, the other sworn to honor a family legacy. Heart vs mind, emotion vs reason, desire vs obligation. What do you do with love in a world that has no place for it? Against all odds is there a way?

Secrets, lies, and tragedy.
In one tragic moment, dreams become just that.
Lives change and duty calls.

An absolutely captivating journey. I’m addicted and this is just the beginning.

Wow; what an ending!

This trilogy has been page-turning since it started, and this book did not disappoint.
But reading this book before the first two would just be a crime. You HAVE to read the first 2 books in this series for perspective & for reference, so when you read “Broken Crown,” you see how the story comes together and ends in a very complicated, twisted way.

This book starts out with both Creed & Princess Esme learning some disturbing news on a missing woman who’s been killed. Everyone seems to have their own theories, but nothing is quite adding up (especially after Creed finds a very unexpected “dead” man in his brother’s old office). Esme keeps having these nightmares about the man with a scar, who she’s sure is the one trying to kill her. Her father, HRH, keeps dismissing her dreams as just that, dreams/nightmares, and don’t believe they hold any truth to them.

Meanwhile, Creed & Esme are still trying to keep a very-low profile so no one detects there’s anything going on between them. When they have their stolen moments, however, you can literally feel the love between them. Their bond seems unshakable, but what happens when one feels the other has betrayed them in a break of trust? If you can’t rely on the one you love, who can you count on?

The clock is ticking as someone (or a group of someones) will do anything & everything it takes to keep a story hidden and people silenced who could possibly jeopardize the good name” of the Royal Family.

T.K. Leigh keeps us at a steady pace until about 75% of the way in. Then suddenly, you’re flying thru the last pages as pieces start falling into place and all your questions now have the answers you were searching for.

This trilogy was just fantastic and so much more than a “forbidden romance” story. And can I also throw in just how much I loved Esme’s friends Harriet & Marius? They were just the best friends anyone could ever want!

This is final book in the thrilling Broken Crown trilogy. Up to this point, Esme and Creed have spent more time apart than they have together. Both have had to bear the burden of duty and guilt. In the almost decade since they have been apart, Esme has found a freedom of sorts, spending much of her time abroad and well away from the royal family, from Creed. He has spent the last decade in service to the royal family and in particular Esme’s brother. Creed has also stepped up to care for his brother’s widow and son, burying his own happiness and needs. With Esme’s return due to her brother’s illness, both Creed and Esme struggle to hide the feelings that have never died. With her most recent relationship now ended, and after another taste of passion with the love of her life, Creed, Esme wonders yet again why love seems to elude her. With the advice of a good friend in mind, she has finally revealed her undying love to Creed and has given him a detail he never knew about the night his brother died. Unable to reject her love or deny his own any longer, they have made a plan that they hope will finally allow them to build a future together. Unfortunately, there are numerous hurdles to overcome, spectres from the past to confront and unexpected dangers to elude. The way forward may well lead to the end of one or both of them. Will they continue to fight for their love and a happily ever after?

The fascinating characters, behind the scene machinations, dangerous intrigue and forbidden romance have made this book an epic reading experience. It will be impossible not to remember Esme and Creed or their long and twisty journey toward a happily ever after. Brava T. K. Leigh, brava!

Royally entertained!!
After the endings in book 1 and 2, this installment was hands down my most anticipated read of 2023.
This conclusion was e-p-i-c and it surpassed ALL my expectations!
Each book brought something new and fresh to the ever changing circumstances that was Esme and Creed’s story. The first 2 installments ended with cliffhangers that blew me away. However, this installment took it to a whole other mind blowing level!
Things we thought that were…weren’t!
Get ready to forget everything around you. When this story landed in my kindle, everything around me became a blur!
Suspenseful, intense and thrilling the high drama life of Esme and Creed took a drastic change when they decide to make a painful decision. Their characters continued to evolve and became more likable as they put something bigger than themselves to discover dark secrets around them . The story flowed seamlessly, even the imagery was gorgeous and I wished this book would become a movie
Will they have a happily ever after?
Is it worth it?
Little did they know what was about to happen!
Honestly I was glued to my reader. Every time I was going to stop, I came upon a passage and I had to forge on.
There are a lot of moving pieces in this story and they all fit, and they all make sense. Read carefully you don’t want to miss any clues.
The twists, the dark secrets revealed, the hidden agendas by the anti hero made the story more exciting.
“Whodunnit” takes a life of its own as Creed and Esme try to discover who’s behind the occurrences of the past ten years.

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

We finally get the conclusion to Esme and Creed's story! If you are like me and you’ve read the first two books, you are more than ready for them to get their happily ever after. At the end of the second book they were getting closer to that, but this book is where it all comes together.

TK is so good at building a story that keeps you guessing. There is a big mystery that has been building through the last two books and I had my own theories as to what happened and who was involved, but I was completely wrong. And even as we were learning what actually happened I was still hesitant to believe that was the actual truth because the author loves to throw in a plot twist here and there. Having said that, I was completely satisfied by the end and I couldn’t imagine it playing out any other way.

I just loved Esme and Creed! At the end of the 2nd book they have made a decision as to what they are going to do about their relationship. Circumstances being what they are, they think they are making the best choice for them and everyone involved. Staying away from each other has never been their strong suit, but they give their best try.

I love a good TK Leigh suspense story and this one did not let me down. She really does spoil us with these characters and their amazing stories and I always look forward to reading her words. This was no different.

ARC Review of Broken Crown by T.K. Leigh
* * * * *
The final read of this thrilling royal forbidden romance trilogy that will have you bewildered with the shocking events that are to unfold!

Esme and Creed are struggling to keep their undying love for one another contained any further. What was once broken is beginning to mend, and neither can deny that they want to spend the rest of their lives together.
Screw the rules.
Screw the expectations.
Screw the kingdom.
However, if things were ever that simple they would have had their happily ever after a long time ago. What was once throught to be dead and gone have now returned, and they are bringing along with them more secrets and dark truthes. A consiracy is being unfolded. A much harsher and hideous truth is coming to light and they may not realise how close to home the enemy really is.
How far will Creed go to protect Esme, as it is his duty as well as his heart to put his life on the line for her?

A fantastic end to the trilogy, with the jawdropping ending and chaotic truth to all the death and lies just stunning me! A little more justice should have been played on that part, the psycho in me wanting to really beat some creeps to a pulp!
Esme and Creed are just so steamy and I love how they are falling into one another once again. Their intimate moments are just skyrocketing in this book!

I cannot remember the last time I was so glued to “waiting”. As in waiting for T.K. Leigh to bring me the exciting conclusion of this Trilogy. I am happy to let you know it is finally here and boy was it worth that wait. Broken Crown brings everything full circle and completes this mystery. T.K. even puts a nice bow on it.

This finale picks up with new questions for Creed and Esme. If there are two people that deserve answers, they would be the ones. But as the mystery part of this story still needs to be resolved, you can guess, nothing is ever that easy. Strained relationships, unusual partnerships and all-around disorder throughout, had me wondering how the author was going to pull all of this together.

T.K. Leigh is nothing if not very good at leaving the reader hanging from a thread…only to reel them in when she is ready. And this story definitely had me hanging for a while. Then she flipped the switch, and before I knew it I was totally taken aback by seeing all the pegs fall into place.
What a way to end a series and what a great love story. But if you have not read the first books, this one will definitely make you go back and pull all the feeling out of those as well.

Well done T.K. Leigh and well worth all the stars.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the final book in the Broken Crown Trilogy. You really need to read the two books in front of this one.. They are equally as amazing. This book though. Oh my!!! You will not be able to lay it down. Creed and Esme are back and making sure that they are able to be in each other's lives. After all Creed is really focused on keeping the Princess safe but at what cost to him. Will he be able to do this? There are so many twists and turns in this book. Your head will be spinning and when you find out what we have all been waiting to find out your mind will be blown. And just when you get settled again, bam, something else happens again. I don't really want to tell you about the story. I think you just need to dive into it and you need to buckle up because it is one heck of a ride. It too is a really smoking hot book. There are some moments that will have you sweating. I loved every single second of this book. This series is absolutely amazing and you should not miss this book or the series if you haven't already started it.

All I can say is WOW! What an incredible conclusion!

Broken Crown by TK Leigh is the final installment of the Broken Crown Trilogy. If you haven't read the first two books, you'll need to before reading this one. This book was so worth the wait. Full of suspense, twists and turns you don't see coming, and a love that we all dream of-Broken Crown takes you on one wild ride.

Esme and Creed have been a part for so long at this point I honestly didn't know if they'd ever find a way to not only be together but to still be able to do their duty with the royal family. But if you think Ms Leigh will make it easy-you obviously don't know how she likes to twist things up and make the characters work for it. There was so much happening and so much to unpack but a love than spans decades, never truly dies. And that was the case for Esme and Creed. As I was reading all I kept thinking was is it ever going to happen for them?!

All in all Broken Crown was totally unputdownable! I loved every single second of it! Ms. Leigh knocked it out of the park as usual. Highly recommend reading it!

The words use and overall review shouldn’t reflect personally on the author or any other of her series and books.

Great conclusion to this series.

If you love action pack books that don't lack on the romance department this is for you.
You get a hero that is willing to sacrifice anything to keep the love of his life safe. The plot twists and suspense that we got were simply amazing. You will get Esme and Creed happy ending.
You will need to read book one and two to understand this final book but you won’t regret reading those either.

This is book three in The Broken Crown Trilogy and completes Creed and Esme’s story and what a great ending to this amazing trilogy. Wow here we have it the final book in this amazing series and it was definitely worth the wait and I wasn’t disappointed. The twists and turns and puzzles keep coming and it will have you on the edge of your seat while holding your breath wondering what would happen next and what the outcome would be for Creed and Esme in the end and omg these two certainly go on a rollercoaster ride to not only be together but also get the happiness and future that they both definitely deserve after everything that they have been through and the chemistry was so strong, intense and hot that you could feel sparks fly of the pages and there love for each other knew no bounds no matter what was thrown at them or in there path. TK Leigh is an amazing author and writer and certainly knows how to keep the readers attention throughout the whole book and I definitely recommend you read this trilogy and you will not be disappointed.

The weight of a clock ticking down is the first impression I got as I began the last chapters of Broken Crown, the third and final entry in TK Leigh's Brokem Crown Trilogy. Pieces are moving, events unfolding, all under the ever present tick tock of inevitably.

Stealing time to be together, under the threat if discovery and the ever present danger, it's a challenge for Creed and Esme. They want to be together, but outside pressures weigh on them both making them fear that they'll never be free to make their own choices.

The twists make for great storytelling, holding your interest throughout. From unknown assassins, to court intrigue, Leigh has you in the palm of her hand. She doesn't disappoint, for when that ticking clock goes into it's final countdown, hang on, as the reveals come fast and furious.

Broken Crown is another excellent read from TK Leigh, and finishes this outstanding forbidden royal romance series in style.

This is the 3rd book in the Broken Crown trilogy featuring the page-turning epic conclusion to Esme and Creed's story what a journey to their HEA. This story begins with Creed and Princess Esme find out some disturbing news having to do with a missing woman who's been killed. Everyone has their own ideas on what happened except that everything isn't adding up especially with what Creed finds in his brothers old office. Esme and Creed have finally decided that they belong together but they want to wait until Creed retires with full honors. The two of them don't think that anyone knows about their relationship but they will soon find out that everyone does and a majority are happy for them. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this intense, suspenseful, page-turning epic conclusion full of twists and turns to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

The romantic saga of Creed and Princess Esme takes place over almost 20 years. Creed was in charge of security for Princess Esme and was always forbidden to be with her. But their undying love for one another was more than either could withstand.

TK Leigh is an amazing storyteller. She gives you so much information about her characters that you almost feel like you are right there with her while she is telling the story. I'm captivated by how each character unravels the mysteries surrounding Creed's brother's death, the deaths of others, and even Princess Esme's family members. I would suggest that you read the entire trilogy before diving into this story. You need to know the backstory of each character and how they got to where they are today.

Creed and Esme and two characters worth fighting for. And you will love their romantic story from beginning to end!.

"What an incredible heart pounding conclusion to Esme and Creed's story. I have been rooting for this couple through two books now and their HEA is spectacular.

TK Leigh writes amazing romantic suspense. I was consumed with finding out all of the details while trying to figure out who was behind all the drama. There are a couple of really intense chapters that had me holding my breath from the drama.

Esme and Creed (princess and bodyguard) is a trope I enjoy. Both Esme and Creed are multifaceted characters but I love that they keep fighting for their happiness. Today, Tomorrow and Always." ~Cindy

"Broken Crown is the third book in TK Leigh's Broken Crown Trilogy and is a great ending to this series. I loved reading and following the conclusion to Esme and Creed's princess and the bodyguard romance. This book kept you guessing till the end. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I’ve been dying for the end of Esme and Creed’s story because I had to know who was behind everything and what would happen to their relationship. This final book did not disappoint.

In the beginning there are so many unanswered questions, twists and turns but slowly everything slowly comes to light and the questions are answered. The entire time I was on the edge of my seat and absolutely hooked on this book.

There is no denying that Esme and Creed have an insane connection and loads of chemistry and that just continues to grow throughout this book. Their relationship is complicated, but you can’t help but root for the two of them to find their happily ever after together.

If you’re looking for a royal, bodyguard, romantic suspense check this one out. Must read books one and two first

This was the fantastic conclusion I’ve been waiting for! All the suspense, drama and angst that has been building in the first two books comes to its climatic conclusion and what a conclusion it is! Strap in tight for the twists and turns, the shocking revelations that come to light in this final installment in the Broken Crown trilogy!

After everything Creed and Esme have gone through over the past decade plus, will they finally get their chance at love and happiness? Or will outside forces ruin any chance they have at finally being together? I was glued to this book from the first to last page. I tried so hard to figure out what we were going to uncover while reading but nothing could have prepared me for the truths that come to light. T.K. writes the best romantic suspense!

I’ve loved Creed and Esme from the beginning, through all the obstacles thrown their way. This was a great end to an amazing trilogy! Five stars is not nearly enough!!!
Their love was still as complicated as ever. Just when they think they have a plan, things start to go haywire again. I was surprised with Jameson. I honestly didn’t expect any of what happened with him. That was the first twist, but there were a few more. Some of them downright shocking!
I hated that Creed’s father kept putting doubts in his mind and telling him that he and Esme could never be together. I also didn’t like that Creed questioned his future with Esme because of his dad. I was surprised and pleased that his father finally came around, and at the perfect time!.

YES! Broken Crown is the book I've been waiting for since Esme and Creed's saga started. And let me tell you...T.K. Leigh did not disappoint.

Dark. Sexy. Dangerous. Scandalous. Deadly. As the wheels fell off the plot things only got more tense. More heated. More twisted.

And in the middle of it all was this love story between Esme and Creed that was so pure and deep and profound that it couldn't be denied. I loved how they fought for themselves and each other. For the future they wanted. For happiness and love even in the midst of chaos and turmoil.

I couldn't read the epic conclusion to Esme and Creed's journey fast enough. It was wild and intense, naughty and tender and a few other things I don't know how to put into words. And that ending brought everything perfectly full circle.

The love story of Esme and Creed continues, and it only gets better. Even though outside forces and their sense of duty have kept them apart they realize that what they share is worth fighting for but first they have some obstacles they need to overcome.

Trying to keep their relationship a secret is becoming more difficult especially with the surprises that keep unfolding and the intrigue that keep them on edge. The one fact that is indisputable is that Creed is determined to protect Esme from everyone and everything until they uncover who is behind the threats and wy.

Theirs is a story that is years in the making and the chemistry between them is intense and the romance enchanting. Every twist and turn only makes the story more compelling and will keep you entertained from beginning to end.

Oh what a ride! TK Leigh pulled out all the stops on this one! This was a Rollercoaster ride from book one and I loved every single second of it.

Creed and Esme go through so very much to get to their HEA, but my goodness was it worth it! Creed is everything you want a book boyfriend to be. He's so swoony and so fiercely protective of Esme. He's always trying to do the right thing, even when it involves breaking some rules.
I loved seeing Esme mature but remain true to herself and her dreams for getting to finally be happy and be with Creed officially.

There were many twists and turns and every time I thought I had it figured out, there was a twist in plot to make me reevaluate everything. Such a phenomenal read and perfect ending to the trilogy.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
