I am so eager for book 4. The main and title character, Charles de la Foret is completely endearing and virtue filled. It is a real pleasure to read about his adventures and the period. These happen during the thirty years war mentioned relatively obliquely and not by that name. It was a pivotal time and Paris really comes to life as well.
I enjoyed the book from start to finish. It kept me engaged and I had to hard time putting it down. Musketeer Charles is a very intelligent detective. I can’t wait to read the next book.
