Rate this book
Let Go and Let Grace Go to Work...In You! No more striving to measure up. No more basing your value on your performance. No more disqualifying yourself for God's favor and blessing. No more powerless resolutions to do better...to try harder. This is the freedom for which your heart has always hungered. And in Grace Works, Dudley Hall reveals that grace, properly understood, is the key to that freedom--setting you free from yourself and letting God rescue you from lifeless religion. Grace works!

I love Mr. Hall's phrase, "hardening of the oughteries." Following Jesus is about relationship first and foremost with works hand-in-hand with Him.

Dudley Hall has written a terrific book that I recommend for all Christians. There are many fundamental principles he has written about in a clear, understandable way. The topics included could be discussed in a small group for further depth. No one should be trapped thinking that they have to perform or live "right" in order to please God. The answers to the struggle between this mentality and true freedom to be who we were created to be in Christ are answered in this book.

Second to the Bible, God has never used a book more to change my life. I speak in front of multiple audiences and I love to take the opportunity to stress that by the time I finished the book, I was a different person. I never again struggled with whether or not God truly, deeply loved me.

I wish there was a 3.5 star - that's what I'd give this one. Nothing groundbreaking or new, but a good reminder of God's grace and how it applies to all our lives. I was particularly convicted by the chapters talking about having a Pharisaical spirit.

This book absolutely changed my life and view of what it truly means to be a Christian. Much better than Swindoll's Grace Awakening. So many lightbulbs went off in my head and heart.
