I am always excited when I get a new book from this author! Her books are always filled with delightfully entertaining, witty, ready-for-romance characters you’ll absolutely wish were in your own life. Then, what could be better than getting two romances for the price of one? Yep, I think all of her books probably have two romances each. If you are tired of prickly, angsty, naval-gazing, will they/won’t they romances, then this is the author for you.
If you’ve read this author’s works, you know her characters are somewhat interconnected. It is similar to what Stephanie Laurens does with the Cynster family, only this author has several characters from different families who relate to or know each other. I like that because when one of those earlier characters pops up, you get to remember how lovely it was to read their book and it is nice to see where their lives have taken them since. However, don't let that concern you because if you haven't read any of those other books, you'll do just fine reading this one.
We met and loved Ertugrul (pronounced Er-too-rule) and David Bennett-Jones, in The Lady of A Sultan, and we now get to see them find their HEAs. Ertugrul is the son and heir of Ziyaeddin, the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and David is the son and heir of Viscount Bostwick. David has decided to end his Grand Tour and return to England to find a bride. Unbeknownst to David, Ertugrul, who is accompanying him, plans to find an English bride as well. Will it be a long and arduous Season for them? Will the matchmaking mamas drive them crazy? Or, does one of them already know who they want and they just have to make it happen? What about those matchmaking papas – that should make for some interesting situations. Hmmmmmm.
Lady Rose, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Arily, was a diamond of the first water when she had her come out, but now she is a wallflower. Why? There was a carriage accident that caused a severely broken leg that healed badly. Damaged goods? Even as a duke’s daughter it is hard for a suitor to get past her sometimes need for a cane or a wheeled chair. She’s not content to become a spinster, but she is resigned to that being the likelihood.
Adeline, who is David Bennett-Jones's sister, has also become a wallflower, but that is mostly by her choice. Several of her friends – especially Rose – seem to be relegated to the ranks of wallflowers, so she’ll just join them. She’s not especially looking forward to becoming a spinster, but she has many plans for her future with or without a husband. Among those plans is running her mother’s charities. She works there two or three days a week and loves being able to help others. If someone wants her hand, they’ll have to find her because she isn’t actively looking.
It was lovely to see David, Rose, Ertugrul, and Adeline find their perfect mate and their lovely HEA. The book is excellently written, perfectly paced, and filled with memorable characters and romances that will make your heart sing.

April 11, 2023It's one thing to have marriage-minded mamas plotting their children's future, but woe betide any young couple when their papas start creating their own lists of suitable candidates to ensure their family line! As a result, I found this novel highly entertaining and amusing as the offspring of the Airley and Bostwick households discover their parents' plans for them. Arriving in London with David Bennett-Jones, a young Ottoman prince, Emir Enturul Effendi, is also intent on finding an English bride. An introduction to David's sister Adeline brings two like-minded young people together. However, David is chastised by Lady Rose for the length of time he has been absent, making him wonder whether he has a chance with the Duke's daughter, that is once she gets over her displeasure with him. The heir to the Airley dukedom is not let off the hook either, but it is only when his father surprises him by demanding that he marry for love rather than a title, that Waverley dares to venture out and make his feelings known. The novel concludes with surprising announcements and well-satisfied parents who are not in the least bit timid about taking all the glory for their achievements. This romance is well-written and entertaining and I found myself still chuckling when it came to a happy conclusion in an exotic setting. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

It is always a pleasure to see again the many characters brought together by the author, they are witty, willful and reading to fall in love.
So here, everyone teams up to see their prodigal sons married, which lead to some funny moments.
For once, the matrons of the ton are beaten to the finish line by their husbands.
It was fun to see these fathers compile list of prospective misses for their sons.
And as it is expected with Mrs Sande, it is not one but two romances we get, and even a bit more on the side as more than two couples get their HEA in this tale.
Ertuğrul was introduced in the previous released book, The Lady of A Sultan with his father’s second chance romance. Now it is his turn to seek a wife.
David is on the same mission, after three years, two months and ten days, he is ready to settle but what of the ladies he h d his eyes on prior to his grand tour.
Adeline, David’s sister has decided to not marry, so she thinks, to devote her life to help others less fortunate.
Rose, a Duke’s daughter who was injured after David’s departure, believe she has lost her chance now she is older and still unmarried.
It was fun to see David and Rose rekindle their friendship, turning around even if he believes her to be above his reach. As for Ertuğrul, he navigates society’s water with a fairness and goodness that portray his gentleness perfectly. He is so sweet and charming with Adeline.
Another fun tale with meddling parents, insta love and repressed feelings that pair together four predestined young beings.

This was a truly enjoyable book with the young men we met in The Lady of a Sultan, the sultan’s son and his English friend David. They both go to London for a Season with the purpose of finding a bride… Will they meet their soul mates? Of course they will!
I liked the book, even if I found all the names and the people they met in London a little bit confusing. Of course the book can be read as a standalone, but I think that without a modicum of background it’s difficult to enjoy it fully. I’m sure that those who read the older books by the author will have loved to see older characters making an appearance.
Anyway, I always like this author’s style of writing and her vivid, intriguing characters and this book was no exception.

This was a delightful story, carrying on from The Lady of a Sultan. David Bennett-Jones finally goes home from his grand tour, and brings his friend Ertugrul, the Sultan’s son, with him. David has decided that it is time to marry and he has a lady in mind. Ertugrul, like his father had done, wants an English lady for his wife, and to forego a harem.
It was great to revisit George and Elizabeth Bennett-Jones in this story. George manages to get a list of ladies and gentlemen to help provide his offspring with names of possible spouses.
Adeline, David’s sister, believes that Lady Rose would be a perfect match for Ertugrul. David warns his friend not to try wooing her, he wants that privilege. Ertugrul has his own thoughts and knows that Adeline is his perfect match. 5 stars from me. Well done Linda.

Entertaining Addition to the Series!
I can’t help but love this series as each story seems to get better and better.
In this one we once again have two love stories evolving side by side as well as the lusty appetites of the parents, George and Elizabeth.
David and Rose become betrothed as do Ertugrul and Adeline and it was lovely to watch how they matched up and fell in love.
Most of these characters we have met before so it was lovely to read that they too find their happy ever after.
I would recommend this book (and the series too) just because it was so easy to read and so very enjoyable and entertaining.

They are finally back in England. But its time to move on a stay put or at least get married. There are several matches made in this book. I love how the author always pit a twist and turn in the story and has more than one match. It makes the story so interesting. Having the sultans son in England was very interesting twist to this novel. The sultans son danced with the wallflowers and made their season. I really enjoyed that part.
You dont need to read the other novels to enjoy this one. I recieved a free copy so that I might tell you what I honestly think. Hope you enjoyed my review. Now go enjoy the book

Several matches are made here with the points of view of both halves of each expressed. This is a perfect escape story to forget the outside world. It's a happy story without troubling difficulties to be conquered by the characters.
The "backroom dealing" of the fathers is subtle, as the choosing is left to the sons.
I liked how the author included Ertuğrul asking his host family for clarification of differences in customs/phrases.

This is a wonderfully written, entertaining story with several different stories going on at the same time.
Two of the main characters appear in another book. David Bennett-Jones, an heir to a viscountcy and Ertugrul, an heir to a sultanate travel back to England after studying architecture in the middle east.
They are both looking for wives.
I loved the interaction between David and Rose and Ertugrul and Adeline.
The secondary characters are fabulous, I loved David and Adeline's parents, and this is a feel good, wonderful story that will keep you entertained until the end.

It is no surprise that I loved this novel - for so many reasons: I have enjoyed all of Linda Rae Sande’s novels; I love stories that have interconnected characters so as a reader I get to catch up with them and the changes in their lives; and this novel contains multiple love stories! So much history included in the story makes this novel enjoyable as well. I can’t wait for the next book.

New to this author I have read 3 of her novels and thoroughly enjoyed them all .Each tells a great story, especially this one with so many people to meet bits of culture info and a great dash of HEA. Highly recommend Enjoy

Whilst this book is named for Adeline and her sultan, I found the stories around Rose and David, and Hope and William more interesting and wanted to know more about their real than the mere aside they got.
If it weren't for them is probably have rated this book a zero or maybe one" read. Why? Because Charlotte Bingham and Joshua Wainwright Duke of Chichester book is probably my favourite in the whole series, her Joshua appears to have been killed off early, and their two sons married with no mention in any other book in the series. Charlotte and Joshua deserved a long and happy ever after.
