A one-night stand turned coach? Oh, hockey practice just got complicated!
So, I had this unforgettable night with a charming stranger. Sizzling chemistry, promises of breakfast—then poof, he vanished.
And guess who's my son’s new hockey coach? Yeah, that guy. Liam Wilkinson, superstar hockey player, walks into my life—annoyingly sexy and grumpy.
When the press shows up at that first practice and catches us privately talking, a meddling assistant tells them we are dating to avoid a scandalous story in the papers.
Now, I’m stuck in this mess. Balancing our snarky arguments with stolen moments isn't easy.
But Liam's hidden battles and my son's hero worship pull me deeper.
Just when our walls start to crumble, a misunderstanding shatters it all. Now, hearts are on the line, and I'm left wondering if, this time, it's a game I can't win.
The story contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for 18+.
Hello there! I am Leighton Grace and I'm so glad you are here! As a self-proclaimed introvert, reading is my passion...books are my passion and I want to share both with the world. Life is tough...books are magical. They allow us a bit of an escape from the frustrations of everyday life. Books have literally saved me in some very tough times - I want my books to do this for you! I want to put a smile on your face, or make you giggle or blush, even when life gets you down. ESPECIALLY when life gets you down!
When I am not reading or writing, I am busy with my teenage daughter or daydreaming my next business idea.
As an Indie author, your support means everything to me. Thank you so much for reading!
I thought this was such a cute story. I really liked Kate and thought Jack was adorable. And Liam seemed like not such a nice but but it turns out that he truly is! These two have to go though quite a bit to get to their HEA, but their chemistry was off the charts sizzling and they are really sweet together. I found this book so fun and enjoyable to read.

Liza who is Kate’s best friend since they were in sixth grade. Talks her into going out for the first time in eight years. Basically since before her son was born. You see she got pregnant in her senior year and never looked back after she found out because as much as she wanted to have the safe beautiful life that she and Liza had always planned for and today that dream had vanished forever. Life as she had known it was over. From that day forward his life was lived for the baby. Going to the local college to get her teaching credentials is quite the feat.
Her parents had been happy to help her out, so Jack and she had lived with them. That was until recently when she finally became a full-time teacher, a few years back, and then bought them a home. It's small by most standards, but for them, it's just right. Her parents are the ones happily keeping Jack for the overnight stay. So the girls can go out on the town and get their drink on.
While they are out, and they are taking a moment to shake the cobwebs loose. She walks to the restroom and catches the eye of the most handsome man. She uses the facility and goes to leave and runs into the man who caught her gaze. His name is Liam, and he’s thirty to her twenty-five. They talk and flirt, and he cuts to the chase quickly. Asks if she would like to come to his hotel. She says, Sure. They are compatible and talk endlessly. They even cuddle. But when she wakes in the morning he is gone. She is pissed.
They had talked about going to breakfast. Well, he was all talk. All he wanted was to F--k! He could have just said that because that is all she just wanted until he made her want more. A$$hole! She calls her friend who takes her home, so she can get ready to take him to practice. Because he is starting All-Star Hockey. When she arrives by the skin of her teeth when she enters everyone is a buzz. She helps Jack get ready then sits to hear the news. She almost passes out. Guess who his new coach is? Yup! You got it, Liam! This is a funny rom-com you won’t want to miss.
Don’t you love a book with a happily ever after? I do. Boy meets girl, boy looses girl, boy gets girl as a fake date (but not fake), boy loses girl (again), then gets girl back. All without hurting the girl’s little boy. That’s the big plus here - the kid isn’t just a piece of furniture in the book, but actually has a role. And he’s not used as a pawn. Good job.
The author needs a good proofreader, though. Most of the errors are typographic, although some dialogue is attributed to the obviously wrong characters. And there’s the inevitable misuse of objective and subjective pronouns. I suppose that is a battle I am doomed to lose in this day and age.
In any event, it’s a happy book, with “grown up” scenes. I believe I could read another of this author’s works.
Kate meets Liam on a rare night out with a friend. They have an instant connection, and she spends the night with him. However, he is gone the next morning, and she is a little hurt because he had said he wanted to have breakfast with her. She gets shocked when she takes her son to his hockey practice and the new coach is Liam. Sparks reignited between them and soon they are sneaking around with each other. Will Liam admit to how he feels about them? Can they find a way to be together?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
This book was absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you enthralled from the beginning until the end and the storyline flows throughout the book. When a one night stand turns Kate's rocks her and Sametime hurts her will Kate forgive him? Liam is not who Kate thinks he is but when she sees him again can they find away to work things out or will he stay away from her?.

Being British I have very little knowledge of ice hockey, but don't let that deter you. This is the fourth book I've read in two days by this author. I enjoy this author's style so much that, at the end of each one, I can't wait to read the next! You're taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions in each one....... all with some intricate spice! The good storyline flows extremely well and draws you in from the start. Plus it has my favourite ending....a HEA! ❤️
Kate and Liam’s story has them having a one night stand and him, leaving after promising breakfast to only wind up being her son’s hockey coach. Somehow she ends up fake dating him when I misunderstanding happens can they put it behind them and become the family that they both.

When Liam and Kate first meet, there are intent sparks between the two of them. They don't talk much, but they do end up having a one-night stand. Imagine her surprise when Kate then sees Liam again because he is her son's hockey coach. She feels misled, but again, they didn't really do much talking. Can they see their way through to establish a real relationship?
Liam is a bad boy hockey player. His team is making him do some PR work after getting pulled over for DUI. Kate and her son Jack are joining a new hockey team that needs a new coach. The new coach just happens to be the one-night stand that she had recently. Sparks will fly and tempers will flare. See what happens when these two work together for the hockey team's sake.
A hockey fake dating romance? SOLD. Kate and Liam are so good together, there's a lot of bulls#%t that often comes from a one-night into a fake dating trope and thankfully this book didn't have any. its a sweet story from the start and continues that way all the way through.
