If you’re deep in love with this family the way that I am, then like me you’ve been anticipating Alaina’s story since she was a mystery in Jamison’s book, Adina’s shoulder to cry on in Cartel’s book and the free spirited party animal that matched Jorja’s energy in Walker’s book!

Just like Alaina, we’ve received subtle features of Mr. Roosevelt Monroe! He went from being the Gardner at the Jareau Estate to being this amazing single father that doted on his six year old daughter Juniper.

The chemistry has been brewing between Rose and Alaina for quite some time and their book did not disappoint AT ALL!! Alaina and Rose’s story was like being wrapped up in a cozy blanket with a pumpkin spiced warm beverage on a crisp fall day! Their vulnerability and the safe space they provided for each other truly warmed my heart!

In Strip Me Bare, we learned why Alaina and Adina had such a deep connection and why they were able to bond over their abusive pasts. We learned how Rose became the amazing single father that he was. And most importantly we got to witness the amazing brotherhood, bond and camaraderie amongst the Jareau siblings, spouses and their parents! The way this family rides for each other and the ever present black love is what we need more of in this world! It was everything!

This fourth installment of this series was nothing short of amazing! It was filled with laughter, drama, ass whoopins, hoe checking, a few slices of humble pie being served up, but most importantly LOVE!

Rose and Alaina were everything we wanted and then some! They showed up for each other when it mattered most and in a world where they had to be strong all the time, it was refreshing to see that they found home within each other!

Get into this series because if you haven’t already you’re missing out on all this black excellence!

“I have taken on the proud identity of a housewife, sir”
I laughed out loud. “A housewife?”
“Yes! I cook, I clean, I help Junie with her homework, and I do that thing you like.”
‘Which thing?”
“All of them.”

And, just like that, Alaina and Roosevelt moved to the head of the line to become my favorite couple. I’ve been waiting on Alaina’s story since she popped up in Jamison’s book under a shroud of secrecy. It was obvious she had a story to tell and I wanted all the tea. And, honey, lemme tell you, there was plenty of it to spill. Alaina has been living the high life as a social media influencer in Spain for the last nine years. But, what her family doesn’t know is, she fled to Spain to heal from an abusive relationship she kept hidden from them. After Cartel is shot, Alaina wants to be closer to her people so, she decides to move back to the states permanently and unknowingly opens Pandora’s box. Roosevelt is the landscaper for the elder Jareaus but, he’s so much more than that. He’s a single father to six year old Juniper and he’s a farmer. Give it up one time for the representation of black farmers. Heyyyyyyy! Like Alaina, Roosevelt has a story to tell as well and, it too, is full of eye opening revelations. The past is exposed and secrets are revealed. Between the shenanigans with Alaina and trash azz Derrick and Roosevelt’s shaky co-parenting relationship with Tristian, you’ll be clutchin’ your invisible pearls until the very end. But, through all of the drama, this couple remained steadfast and continued to show up and support each other. Alaina and Roosevelt were perfection. They fit so well and came together so organically. I just loved how vulnerable they were with each other and how they became one another’s peace. I loved, loved, loved the display of brotherhood between the Jareau siblings and Roosevelt. The way they welcomed him and Junie into the fold without hesitation really warmed my heart. 🥹🥹🥹 Strip Me Bare was a swoon fest from start to finish. It was sweet, sexy, and romantic. Alaina and Roosevelt’s love journey is sure to have you smiling from ear to ear.

Alaina x Roosevelt

This book was a big ole swoon and blush fest. Even with the heavy parts, my face still hurts from smiling so much. That's because the book was saturated, soaked, and drenched in love. Not just from H&h, but everyone. From family, in-laws, to friends. But Alaina and Rose were disgustingly in love, and I loved every part.
Roosevelt was one of the most caring, loving men. He was also very sensitive. I love the way he emotes and the way he expresses love. He was very protective of the ones he cares about and loved. It was proved in the way he guarded and supported Alaina.
Sweet Alaina's past came became very present in the form of her bitter, weak, and cowardly ex. But thanks to the AHMMAZING Jareau clan, she was able to get the peace she so deserved. I loved Alaina.
If it wasn't clear, I PASSIONATELY LOVE the Jareau's. I love catching up with the siblings and their wives and their myriad babies. I can't wait for Reese’s story. It's giving a little toxic, and I am here for it. I don't want this series to end. So much so that I'm willing to get a novella update on Tristian.

Not going to lie, this was a good quick story. I started this not knowing that it was part of a series (I did not research on it), and was very pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be finishing the series starting from book 1.

A black farmer? Dang near cowboy? Yes ma'am.
A man with manners and respect for elders? Yes ma'am.
A single dad? We can definitely get with it.
A protector? Going to work every time for me.

I am here for the story, the love, the family, and the real conversations that were had regarding addiction and how it can impact everyone involved. I also enjoyed the slight insight into the disappointment someone can feel when they grow up with parental type figures but still experience a void due to their biological parents not being available.

Loved this.

10/10 would recommend.

Rose was the most caring, loving, sensitive, and protective man. He was just what Alaina needed. Poor Alaina stopped running from her past but of course what’s in the dark always comes to light. Derrick needed his ass beat some more. Tristian redeemed herself nicely and it was nice she was able to find happiness again. I can’t wait to read the rest of the soon to be couples in this series.

Alaina gets her man

Alaina and Roosevelt had been fighting their connection for a year, and I was so happy to see them finally act on their feelings for one another. Both had been plotting on each other for a minute. Rose was the sweetest man alive. I mean he was fine, hardworking, wise, and sensitive. He had been through a lot, and it made him take great care of his daughter, and Alaina as their relationship blossomed. The man took "care" to another level and I was jealous of the sweet gestures he gave Alaina. One thing about Rose was he showed his love through actions and I believe that is just what Alaina needed. The safety and security he offered helped her navigate the nonsense that imposed on her life.

Derrick's entitled azz hadn't learned any lessons and I am so glad Alaina was able to ensure he was held accountable for his loose hands. He deserved at least one more beat down. I'm glad she had her family and Rose in her corner this time. I was side eyeing Tristian in the beginning, but Rose refused to accept the disrespect and made it clear who Alaina was in his life. Their little blended family was so sweet.
There was so much love and support shown throughout this book, it was just beautiful. The Jareau's showed up for Alaina and Rose, they fully embraced Rose and Junie as family and I loved that for them. They needed that love, that sense of belonging. KB did not disappoint, the love was loud and strong.

Some callouts...Tristian's name was misspelled several times🥴. I wanted more characteristics of Alaina...she was tatted up and beautiful and always dressed up, but I had a hard time picturing her. She had curls...were they long? Was she brown skinned? Tall? Curves? I wanted just a little more.

🌶🌶🌶🌶

kimberly brown continues to blow me away with this series. alaina and roosevelt... damn. they'd both been through things but they stuck together and stood by their love. the chemistry was always there. i'm a sucker for single dad romances and this did not disappoint. juniper was so cute. as always the jareaus welcomed her and her dad into their fold without issue. Tristian... she worked on my nerves but i empathised with her situation and would like to see her find love. also, if we don't get a story for ms. alicia and isaac, I'll be quite upset (just saying). if you haven't read this series yet, GO READ IT!

First all, Happy Release Day!! Ok to the book! WOW!!! I freaking loved it! This has to be my favorite one of out the series for sure!! Rose and Alaina were everything and more. I loved how Rose was BIG BDE and but his ex in her place whenever she tried to step out of line. Also with Alania, I see why she kept her mouth shut but at the same time she should have been told her family about her ex and half of the things she went through would've been avoided. Overall, a great book and I can't wait for Resse's story cuz I feel like Ms. Corelli is going to be his wake-up call forreal!

Alaina’s book did not come to play! Listened on Libby. Kimberly had me from the jump. Alaina is definitely a Bad Bish! Her and Rose are so perfect together. That man that man that man! They’ve been fighting that magnetic pull for sometime now but in the midst of something so traumatic Rose came in to be her peace. He protected in a way that unfortunately her family couldn’t. However, if you know like i know the Jareau Family is EVERYTHING! So they are going to love and go above the tallest mountain for you.

Rose had his own drama going on and that was good to see how he dealt the co parenting. Him and Tristian had quite the journey. It was wonderful to see them come out on the other side. I love how Alaina showed up for him in those moments. They really fit like the perfect puzzle piece. Kimberly always does an excellent job of showcasing Black Love. One of my favorite moments was the hair scene. Every bit of me smiled.

Lastly, i hope people truly stop praising celebrities. They’re not God. They can’t get you into Heaven. We will never know everything looking from the outside. I swear some of y’all are so clueless.

Wow, this was absolutely amazing! I'm still feeling all sorts of emotions. Even though I read the series out of order, it still blew me away. The humor was spot on, and I loved the family's dynamic throughout the story. It really made me feel everything by the end! Now I’m a little unsure about what to listen to next. Any recommendations?

Strip Me Bare

Perfect title, both Alaina and Roosevelt showed vulnerability with each other and it was beautiful to read. They found their person, someone who they can bare it all to... LOVE IT. Rose and Junie’s father and daughter relationship was just so sweet and warmed my heart. This one had me in my feelings, felt the turmoil, hurt but also the love and support.

She did it again !!!! (maybe spoilers)

Kimberly Brown did it again y’all she seriously can do no wrong with her writing and books because she drops every damn time my god. Seeing the trials that Roosevelt and Alaina went through and coming out stronger each time just continues to show how love works between people committed in seeing it through and making it work. I loved me some junie she is so precious. The plus was the dynamic on healthy co-parenting that was really appreciated because even with the problems it worked out that’s what anyone with kids separated should do. I enjoyed this book even with all the drama it was so heartfelt and warming and the family values incorporated in this book is just everything the Jareau Crew always gets it ‼️ I hope Alaina keeps her last name and adds Roosevelt’s to it idk its just that namesake represents something big for them as a family to me.

P.s I can’t wait for this wedding coming, Jorja and walkers wedding, the tea on Reese and his situationship and especially the info on Mr. Isaac and Ms. Alicia jorja and liv’s momma getting her groove back 😭. So much going on I’m excited!!!!!!

P.p.s. We know more babies coming grandma keeps seeing them fishes 👀

Roosevelt and Alaina

This story definitely takes you through some emotions 😫 Alaina and Roosevelt had some trials baby but they stood them together.

Alaina plotted and manifested that man from day one. I really enjoyed reading about these two getting together. Roosevelt is just that man…BDE…loving…supportive…the list can go on and on. I love reading about black men showing emotion with their women. Derrick I wish would have been gone sooner than letter because his angry crazy for sure. If I was Alaina I would not have ran at all I would have got all my brothers and cousins and they friends and their friends on that $$a.

It was sis many great moments throughout this book. I was almost getting tired of Tristian because woman hold you head up high and do what you have to do. By the end of the book she was okayyyy I guess 🤣. Junie is my favorite for sure, I want a farm man and land for sure. I love everything about this series and I’m looking forward to more that I know is coming.

Love ❤️

I have been waiting for Rose and Alaina’s story and I was not disappointed. I loved everything about Rose. He was calm in the midst of the storm for Alaina and it was so beautiful to read. Even though she had her own madness going on, Alaina was able to be there for Rose as well. He needed that. The Jareau family is absolutely amazing but I stan Daddy Jareau. He was everything. I also loved how we got to see Tristian and Rose begin to healthy coparent and properly blend as a family with Alaina. It didn’t come easy and they had to put her in her place a few times but it all came together ❤️

I liked this. It contained a single father trope which is not necessarily my favorite but I got through it. I read this via audiobook so I got to really experience this book and I actually may read more from this book series.

Rose and Alaina won!

I must admit I’ve been waiting on these two to make their intentions known and I was not disappointed. Rose didn’t allow anything to keep him from pursuing Alaina fully—not even his first love and mother of his child. I love how he stood on business with Tristian by not only holding her accountable for her actions, but also by reminding her that disrespecting Alaina was not acceptable. Talk about swoonworthy because that was a MAN okay! He was so gentle and vulnerable with Alaina while allowing her to be the same way with him, and it was so beautiful to witness. I could feel his love for her and vice versa. Oh and little Junie was the cutest thing! I loved how she basically told her daddy to shoot his shot with Alaina. Baby girl was going to secure her stepmom. Lol. Now Alaina was a sweetheart. She’d been suffering in silence for years because of “he who will not be named” and that idiot’s reappearance was just caused more turmoil. I was disgusted by him and wanted a punishment similar to the one Adina’s ex got. I’m happy Alaina had such a supportive family and Rose to get her through the mental and emotional Rollercoaster that evil man put her through. They definitely ride for their loved ones.

Now bring on Reese..I can already tell his story is going to take me through it. Oh and Issac and Ms. Alicia might need a lil novella *hint hint*

what a love story

I have been waiting for Alaina’s story. I’m so happy she was able to come forth and speak her truth. That ex was awful and deserved everything he got!

Rose is the sweetest man ever. Omg, his words and actions had my heart going crazy!! His love for Juniper. That’s a good man right there.

Daddy Jareau is the star of all the books for me. He is the best book daddy ever. He really should adopt me and slide me at least a mil. Just saying lol

Tristian didn’t stress me out too bad. One thing I love about Rose, he wasn’t blurring any lines. He said what he said, meant it, and stood on it.

Kimberly Brown gives us that feel good love. That meant to be love. That love that can endure the good times and the troubling times.

Jorja and Walker still crazy lol

I’m interested in Reese’s story. I hope he don’t stress us out too bad!

Our Love

I knew Alaina and Roosevelt were going to be special. This was the sweetest coming together. I absolutely loved it.

I don’t care that Tristan got it together, ion like her. Dats it😒.

Derrick was a simp and I’m glad the brothers got to touch him one good time. Just despicable.

Juniper and these kids are going to be the death of me. I love that they’re included and we get to see them grow.

I’m waiting on Reece story bc I just know he gon be in a corner crying! I’m ready.

The love and family bonds were so great and I can’t get enough of the Jareau crew. Come on Jorja and Walker with this wedding!

Chefs kiss to another great story in this series.

Great read. Highly recommend.

Roosevelt was definitely that guy. Very much a book bae you need. I loved and appreciated the place he held in Alaina’s life. He understood from the beginning how to be what she needed for what she was going through. He definitely deserved love in return. Such a good guy.

Alaina was a cool lady. I get the need to keep the drama from her family. She was just too well connected to hold on to that need to do that. The suffering and pain could have been prevented early on with that looser.

I love that we always get to catch up with the family. Every book after the first one is always a family reunion.

I love everything about this family, so of course Alaina and Rose didn’t disappoint. He was such a safe space for her, so protective, so kind.. but she reciprocated all those things. His daughter loved him & that ex wife couldn’t do anything but respect her (eventually). Good riddance to that loser ex boyfriend of hers. I’m glad she found the peace she deserved.
