Things on the surface have been handled quite nicely.
My lawyer is no longer being blackmailed, and plans for the shooting range and my cul-de-sac compound are coming along great.
Of course, that means things in the Gloom have taken a turn for the worse.
Cave quakes have been popping up all over the underground world, and it’s only a matter of time before my friends and allies suffer the effects of such natural disasters.
This Author isna drug dealer...err I mean literature dealer
Why the interesting headline? The man, Logan Jacobs, his writing is so addicting it's not even funny. The story pulls you into trance. You lose track of time. Loved ones will find you jonesing for just a chapter more. You boss will check the cubicle and go "I bet he stayed up to late reading a new Jacobs book. That's why he is a dealer. In this story he even brought up an 80s classic horror comedy. Guess we have a new 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon trivia answer. He set this next book up while heading out to Europe. I need the next book bad, please everyone hurry up and write your reviews. Thanks Logan for rehashing old fond memories and creating new adventure memories as well.
As the amount of characters increases I've resigned that there will never quite be the depth of prefer. But the author does his best to try to give a little time to shine on different characters when possible. I enjoy that this story is a nice blend between slice of life, with an overall metaplot that each book furthers. End seemed to have a crossover which can be fun. As always, it has me waiting for the next installment.
This, as for all the other stories, was fun to read. The plot was a bit lame but just as much fun, with the good friends fighting with each other and their teamwork to end another threat to the Gloom. With Hill adding more women to the family, he is going to need more houses. But the ending of this installment left way for more adventure in the future.
This series is getting to be as long as the Wheel of Time. However, I find it entertaining and love checking in on what's happening with Eddie and his family. This episode focused on another danger to the gloom. However, it was vague as to whether this was a new threat or one from an old nemesis. At the same time it seemed to expand the world in Eddie's backyard. The action was intriguing as well as the plot points. The story pulled you along quite nicely. I'm ready for the next installment.
I absolutely adore this series . Every time you put a book out from this series I read it cover the cover in 1 sitting it's delicious to devour. I thoroughly enjoy the MC Absolutely adore his wives and the fact that they can get along in an actually Functioning household Each 1 of them has their own personality And they are all work together to make it Work. More pls!
As always, a new Backyard Dungeons means another sleepless night as I won't be able to stop reading this book.
And it was definitely worth the lack of sleep! But the surprise twist at the end has me eager to see where Logan Jacobs is going to take us readers in future books!
Usually, by the 13th book in a series, I'd have gotten bored. This series, although a bit simple at times, has kept my interest and has been getting better with each book. It's a fast fun read but with an interesting story and great characters. I could see this series going into 20 or more books at this rate without losing anything. Can't wait for book 14.
It's a really nice treat to be able to spend so much time with the characters in this series and I hope to spend a great number of additional hours reading many more books in the series. A tremendous cast. Each character is well developed and rich on their own, but when placed together create an outstanding series.
This is a very fun storyline building on myths and legends. I love the growth of the characters and new characters in the story. I'm looking forward to the next books and don't want it to end. Considering Logan Jacobs' style and quality of writing, I know I'll read his other series. Excellent work and thank you, Logan, these fun adventures.
Good read, but you need to write faster if possible. I’m interested in the range and how that comes out. Yeah, I know, not the usual reply to your books. I’m also interested how long it takes to get Nate a new magic arm!
Fun and action packed. We are gonna have to watch those merchants, they seem shifty to me. Good story with plenty of good people. Can not wait for the next in the series.
13 books in and the adventure rolls on! This is an amazing set of books and I love all of them! The story is very exciting and never gets stale! If there’s one thing that I would like to see, that would be Lady Ekeneme or Ondur visit the surface.
The book is great as normal and his collection of wives is growing to the point he will need to buy the neighborhood. But the ending always kills me cant wait for jason to call eddie. I also need to know
This is one of my favorite stories so I may be a little biased I thought the story was fully developed and that it was heading toward a finish but with this story another avenue has appeared. So we may see several more installments of Duke Eddie and the ladies.
Lots of fun in this book! I enjoyed the new creatures and the adventures to hunt them down to protect the Gloom. Not to bad to find a new warrior wife at the same time. I will enjoy the next book!
I can't wait what awaits Eddie in the coming installments! Has he made a new friend? Does he find what he is looking for? His family continues to grow.
It took me a long time to explore this fantasy story, as I was quite busy recently, but the whole series has been great. I will be starting the UK series soon and hope to enjoy it as well, Luther New comers to your writing will definitely enjoy these as well
A fun read that appears to have been spell-checked, but not proofread. Awkwardly worded sentences, incorrect words, etc. If you're a "grammar nazi" you'll go crazy. Still a fun read , assuming you don't mine deeply embedded racism.
