Dual virgin, they’ve never done anything sexual with anyone before😍😍😍 he’s so devoted to her!

The rest of the series:
All the girls are virgins I think
No other male virgins in the series
Seems like there will be OW drama since they’ve known each other for years yet the guys fuck others🙄

Ok first a little recap of this one, then I'll update on what you can expect from this series.

Piper (18, virgin) loves the safety and closeness she has with her hot step-brother, Cord (18, virgin). She doesn't want to cross the line because of their parents being married, but Cord's feelings are more "'til death do us part". His intensions is to finally push Piper to accept that their relationship is more than just step-siblings and he plans to do that during the haunted house, Fright House. Except things don't go exactly to plan and he ends up catching her at home instead. They lose their virginity to each other. Their parents were only surprised that it took them this long to finally admit their feelings. In this one, I didn't like Piper very much. She's pretty annoying.

The sexual issue in this one (and several of the others) is they have this thing about popping cherries with objects rather than their cocks. I find that REALLY weird and also a letdown. There's no scenario in this world where a guy is going to say he'd rather watch something penetrate their female over feeling it on his wiener. What's the point??? Anyway......

It's really short, a little sweet, sex was ok. I ended up really liking some of the characters and stories. I would have given this a 4 if he had used his wienie instead of his fingers.

series info

So, all of the characters are in high school, and each book one of them hooks up. They all happen around Halloween, so there are various parties that they attend, which feature in the hook-up.
Book 1 Step-siblings
Book 2 Enemy-to-lover (my favorite)
Book 3 BFFs to lovers
Book 4 Playboy lets perfect girl slip through his fingers because he's a whore
Book 5 Babysitter and two brothers (could have been so freaking hot)

Overall, I enjoyed them. They're cute for what they are, some sexier than others. Simple, light read. I think what made them work was that they are short. This author didn't try to cram a bunch of serious stuff into them.

Weird part is every guy in the series refers the genitals as a person. I don't know the right way to describe it.
"does she want this big cock to fuck her?"
"look at her leaking all over my fingers."
referring to her hoo-ha.

This is 3 stars for me. There’s a few years of backstory between these characters that you only get a small glimpse of, so the build-up is missing in the story. I do like their chemistry and their interactions.

This novella is 8 chapters long and is totally full of spice! Cord and Piper are step-siblings and have the hots for each other. They've been fighting their feelings for years but one night they go to a haunted house and give way to their true desires. I highly recommend if you're looking for a short read that's got lots of spicy scenes! I enjoyed it very much.

Highly disappointed considering I love step sibling romances. The FMC was annoying and honestly dumb AF.

This forbidden romance/spooky novella is such a fun and fast read! Has a little spice, a little spooky and a great read to get in the Halloween mood. Cord and Piper have been step siblings for the past 4 years but they’ve been having feelings that go beyond “brother & sister”. Cord decides this Fright House is time to open up to Piper about his feelings and hopefully make her his. But a little problem in those plans his friends need to keep her friends busy in order to get Piper allow in the Haunted House. But things are taken too far and the girls are extremely scared and so pissed at the boys. Will Cord be able to salvage the night or will Piper reject his advances?

What to Expect:
👻High School Friend Group
❤️Step Brother/Sister
🖤Halloween Haunted House
🥵An exclusive look at future couples

Thank you to HEA PR & Landry Hill for this ARC and can’t wait to get the ARC’s for the rest of the series! Such a good, fast read and love the premise of it all (what can I say Halloween’s my favorite 😉) 🎃

“I love you so much, I don’t care what they think. It’s never going to be like this with anyone else, baby. You’re it for me.”

This is a series of five books where the boy and girl friendship group pair off. I read the second one first without realising it and thought it was good enough that I should read the rest of the series. If I read this one first, I wouldn't have bothered.

There were so many things that I did not like that I've decided to list them in dot point form:
- Referring to their genitals as "he" and "her". I just found that off-putting.
- The fact that as a virgin who has never touched another woman, the MMC was able to use his "expert tongue" and his fingers that knew exactly what to do. I mean come on, their meant to be a couple of inexperienced 18 year olds.
-The tension of the taboo relationship really seemed to be glossed over. All of thr friends made comments about how it wasn't a big deal, the parents didn't care, and they were basically making out in public anyway. But for whatever they just got turned on by calling each other "sis" and "bro".
- The MMC continuously referring to the FMC's body parts as "big mounds" or "wet mound".

All in all, this was a very poorly executed book, but it was also very short, so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I'm going to keep going with the series because I assume the writing gets better with practice.

I fell down the holiday-themed smut rabbit hole (oh my lord there are probably Easter ones) last year when I discovered how many niches there really were on Kindle Unlimited 😂 I may or may not have already borrowed a thanksgiving one...
This did not disappoint, for what it was; a quick, dirty haunted house taboo romance where one is off limits, and the other doesn't give a fuck.
Bonus points for a (what sounded like, at least, based on a horny 18-year-old's POV) plus-sized love interest who, while she was definitely described with your typical smut terminology, was not fetishized for being plus-sized.

It does lose one ✨ for...
Look, I'm liberal, okay? I support preferred pronouns, but if my partner ever referred to their GENETALIA with PRONOUNS ("she's so wet for me, he's so hard for me" in reference to their BITS, not EACH OTHER) i would laugh in their face, be mortified they weren't joking, and see myself out.

Also, not that it particularly bothered me because I'm as seasoned as a crab boil by now, but for a story that calls itself "friends to lovers" it almost immediately opens with

So, yeah 😂
Fun stuff.
I may be back for more, I need inane, silly books like this in my life between the all the childrens' stories and utter gore that I read.

Cord has a thing for his step sis and EVERYBODY knows it. Okay, maybe not everybody, but everybody who matters. Piper has a hardcore crush on Cord, but doesn't realize he feels more than brotherly feelings toward her. Which is kind of funny because whenever both of them are together they give off strong couple vibes what with the snuggling and touching. Still, Piper thinks her feelings are one-sided and probably wrong since he's her step bro.

That said, Cord's trying to gently ease her into the idea of being an actual couple. His brilliant plan? To get her alone at the haunted house and show her what she means to him. This doesn't work as well as he thought it would since his friends took keeping her friends away from her to the extreme. Piper isn't pleased with what they pulled and she's determined to stay angry at Cord for his part in all of it.

Fortunately for everyone, Piper can't hold a grudge. All it takes is Cord sneaking up on her in the shower and soon these two are doing all the things they've been daydreaming about. That said, her friends don't look like they're as quick to forgive and Cord's friends might have some serious groveling to do.

A little spooky, a lot of scary, some steamy kisses, and one interrupted make-out session on the couch. GOOD TIMES!

This was a novella and pretty much the only thing that might make people like it is the taboo smut.

I didn’t expect much considering it’s a novella but I wanted it to make sense and seem realistic. It’s not.

First, the parents are ok with this sexual relationship. Ha! Yeah right!
Second, the fear these five girls had when they knew it was their friends holding them captive in the fright house was unreasonably irrational.
Third, what the nonsensical timing is this author on!!? Cord and Piper start this relationship in what I assume is senior year of high school. There’s mention of how Cord already got accepted to college but Piper needs to wait to hear back. Then in the epilogue set two years later, Cord proposes and says he knows Piper wanted to wait until after graduation. I’m assuming that means college grad, but Piper’s inner monologue clues us into the fact that she’s still in high school as she worries about Cord leaving for college without her. Wtf?!!! That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. So the author doesn’t know what they’re doing as they write. Shows great lack of care.

I think we all know what we’re getting into when reading this book, and while I do sometimes enjoy a forbidden/taboo stepsibling romance there were a few things that had me giggling bc of the absurdity.

First of all the need for them to constantly call eachother brother and sister was making me cackle, like we get it you’re related by marriage, pls stop reminding me!
Then we have the fact that they use he/she pronouns for their genitalia which also took me out, for example “he’s so big” or “she’s so wet for me” we’re very wild statements made.
The way they had zero shame to be close and cuddly in front of their friends and said friends seeming to not give a shit was also very funny to me
And lastly, the parents seeming to not give a shit was very funny to me bc in reality I doubt the parents would be so chill, unless maybe they’re from Alabama.

Overall this a was quick spicy read with a taboo trope and I had to constantly remind myself that the characters are 18 (and virgins) to make the cringe less painful 🎃

I'm beginning to see a common problem in the sense that there is a complete lack of drama in some of these books. While I will say that the thought behind the "forbidden" is always a delicious taboo, especially when it comes to stepsiblings, I definitely feel like their parents would never have just up and left them alone for days on end if they felt like they knew they were up to the behavior they were. And I'm also willing to bet that the idea of them sleeping in the same bed? Never would have been happening. Yes, I get that it was just cuddling up until the very recent bit here but ya know. Parents would be parenting, I would think.

I actually really liked this quick, easy read. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I needed a little palate cleanser and this was perfect. A little step bro and sis taboo action going on and I was here for it. Cord may be a virgin but his mouth was anything but. His dirty talk was on point! I liked Piper as well! I love that Cord has been obsessed with her for years and so he waits for her the whole time. That’s how it should be done!

NO CHEATING
NO OW/OM DRAMA (i mean not really)
DUAL VIRGINS (we need more of this)

A taboo short story…

Rating 3.5/5. I thought the start of this story was really cute and I was getting into it, but then it turned rather juvenile I guess, which is understandable since these are 18 y/o’s, but I didn’t really care for the teenage stupidity and for me personally, referring to your 🍆 or 😸 as he and she, just wasn’t my thing. So… I was kinda bummed by how it turned out. But just because it wasn’t my cup of tea, doesn’t mean someone else won’t love it! Contains step-sibling romance, and two virgin MC’s. Spice is about a 3.5/5.

Steamy step sibling romance

If you like step sibling romance and Halloween, Fright House will be fun. You get mutual pining, they're trying to hide it but everyone knows, Double V's, hs senior year, friend group, the boys work at the haunted house, naughty fun, no cheating, no cliffhanger, can be read as a standalone, but the other friends have interconnected stories that I can't wait to read. HEA.

The heroine was so weak and annoying and she's scared of everything. I liked that the hero was devoted and obsessed with her, but nothing really stood out here.
And honestly, after reading some reviews about other books in this series, my experience with this one was soured; I couldn't overlook things that I would've overlooked in other cases. I definitely won't be reading anything else by this author.

This book is the definition of short and sweet!! But instead of sweet it’s spicy!

Loved the step sibling trope in this, although I didn’t think a virgin would have that much sexual confidence. But clearly the relationship between Cord and Piper had been bubbling away for a long time!

Spice was spicy, so much so I had to pop it down a couple of times!

Loved this short story and had a cute ending too!

Can’t wait to read more from Landry Hill!

•”I love her laugh. It’s like a spark, hitting everywhere”•

Well I just found a new fave author to read. This was such a HOT, quick, fun Halloween read. It had the perfect amount of story to spice ratio and the extra taboo aspect to it was just the cherry on top. I’m already addicted to this series.

3.5 stars. I’m going to hell for this one. Taboo erotica. Dual virgin step siblings. It’s shit, but I still liked it.
Every time he said sis or sister, I just shook my head and tried not to laugh.

I skimmed the last 20%, so I had to bump down my rating. The parents stuff was… strange. And the epilogue was very unnecessary, as most epilogues are.

This is a great story. The dialogue between the two MCs is beautiful. I love the build up that the author does. The characters are diverse and absolutely loveable. I really enjoyed the book from start to finish. I will definitely be reading more in this series. If you like mask play with some tabooish meant to be flavor check this book out.
