Wake up feeling refreshed and renewed by adopting positive changes that will guarantee great sleep quality — even if you’ve been struggling to fall asleep for years!Do you lie in bed with your eyes wide open for what seems like an eternity?

Do you wake up with aches and pains in your neck, shoulders, or back, and wonder what you’re doing wrong?

When you wake up, do you feel exhausted, despite the fact you got your seven to nine hours of ZZZs?

If your answer to one or more of these questions is “Yes,” chances are you aren’t getting the sleep quality you need.

And that means that you often wake up feeling like an angry bear awoken before spring arrives.

Your mood’s low, your energy’s depleted, and your ability to focus is wrestling with your desire to take a nap and do anything but listen to your boss or teacher.

If you are battling anxiety and depression, then the culprit may be the barrage of thoughts that takes over your mind as soon as your head hits the pillow.

And if you drive longer distances or are responsible for kids, then the situation may be causing you severe distress — since tiredness and fatigue can have dire consequences.

Know that you are not alone.

In the U.S., the average person gets less than 7 hours of sleep every night. And between 50 and 70 million adults are affected by a sleep disorder.

What’s more, 44% of adults say their sleep quality has gotten worse in the previous five years.

You don’t have to be yet another statistic. This book is here to serve as a complete guide, containing all the information you need to improve your sleep quantity and sleep quality.

Within its pages, you will

The science of sleep — the vital role played by your brain, neurotransmitters, and hormones — and why changes to your internal biological clock can wreak havoc on your sleep quality.Sleep hygiene and the impact that your sleep environment, habits, and substances can have on your sleep quality.Powerful habits that enhance your sleep quality — including nasal breathing, choosing the right sleeping position, aligning your life with your chronotype, and taking the perfect power nap.The 10-3-2-1-0 Sleep Rule — a handy guide covering when to stop specific activities before going to bed.The inexorable link between sleep and mental health, plus practical strategies for reducing the impact of mental health disorders on your sleep quality.Common sleeping disorders and sleep challenges for older adults — and how to overcome them naturally and holistically.Sleep and your physical health — how to boost both through vital lifestyle changes and grounding activities. How to create the ideal sleep environment and minimize the impact of technology on your sleep.11 natural remedies for better sleep — including teas and supplements, breath work, and chiropractic. And so much more.

One of the better books I’ve read on sleep

I have been taking steps to improve my sleep for years. This small book packs in a lot of information, and is pretty well-written. It’s one of the few books I’ve read recently that gave me some new ideas to try. It also helped me understand the importance of sleep cycles as opposed to total sleep hours.

The books gets a bit preachy in some parts, which is why I give it 4 stars instead of five.

Essentials

Well explained the physiology of sleep with all the phases and substances playing important roles. There is a lot on sleep disorders. As for me, it was of limited value, still some ideas to work on. Good read. Essential . Recommende
