Book 2 continues right where book one leaves off. Still following Kylie as she navigates this new, new world of military like compounds.

She had to qualify to stay in her squad of boys but will she be able to cut it and keep up? Will she let her heart get in the way of the future of the squad? Read to find out.

I love this series so far. As for book 2 it was a great read. The way C. Miller wrote some of this book in handwritten letters between Kylie and a new girlfriend. It gives it that little touch of, hey this could be a real thing and be happening in real life.

There are a few moments that made my heart hurt for Kylie and her boys. There are a few shocking moments too. For the most part book 2 is getting to know Kylie better and seeing how she and the boys are starting to mesh together. I can’t wait to see what happens with Kylie and the squad but I also can’t wait to get to know more about the boys and their pasts. 5 star book all the way.

I enjoyed book two as much as I did book one and found it hard to put down! This book follows Kylie through qualifying, training and getting to know the guys on the squad a bit more and dealing with drama within and outside the squad. She’s doing her best to box up her feelings for Cal and be professional but the tension is still there. The ending leaves you wanting to know what happens next especially with the all female squad coming into the story more. Can’t wait to read the next book!

Kylie is now a part of GO, the Global Organization trying to bring the world back. Accepted in to the Number 1 Squad at the facility, she fights to get to know her 'boys,' and prove that she didn't get her spot based on looks. Made harder by falling in love with Callahan, her squad leader, and not being ashamed to admit it. But what is more important? Revenge, ridding the world of raiders, and helping heal the world? Or a soul-mate found after the apocalypse? And is one man, worth giving up the friendship and home Kylie found in her 'boys'?

I really liked the first book, but this one got me hooked into the series. Miller managed to create unique relationships between Kylie and every boy in the squad. Readers only get a few details here and there about each character and have to piece them together. Even the languages that the conversations are in vary. You can tell the heart that went into the book to try and convey a group of people from all over the world that got together to try and fix humanity. And Miller succeeds.

I also like how C. Miller still has in the tropes of a woman sleeping her way to the top and catty women. These are typical things we see everyday, and Miller is realistic enough to know that the apocalypse isn't going to make people nicer. Some realize the more important things in life, but certain things never go away. And she uses Kylie to illustrate the contrast because she has no tact and speaks her mind.

❤️💜😲Excellent moving sequel!

On the evening of her successful qualification to join Callahan's elite unit, Kylie's thoughts were confused and gloomy. She was physically and emotionally exhausted.

She had had a secret hope that Callahan would accept a little something extra, but Callahan was stubborn: it was the team above all else.

Kylie had to resign herself to accepting it...

Life goes on for young Kylie, despite all the obstacles in her way.

Here we are immersed in the daily life of a team of survivors, between training and interactions.

Everything is excellent: the plot, the characters, the unexpected, everything!

The reading is moving, captivating and so entertaining.
The author's writing is incredibly addictive!
I was transported into the story and I didn't see the time pass before literally throwing myself into volume 3 to read the rest!

I highly recommend !
