I get too nervous. I don’t know how to start the conversation. I tried once, but it wasn’t well-received. I’m afraid I won’t be able to answer people’s questions. I don’t want to come off as a pushy, religious type.
If this sounds like you, you are not alone. Many Christians want to tell others about Jesus but don’t know how to do so in a friendly and inviting way. That’s what makes Giving Jesus Away such an important book. Full of biblically-sound principles and real-life examples, Giving Jesus Away explains how any Christian—including you!—can build caring friendships with non-believers, clearly share the Good News of Jesus, and enjoy a front row seat to what God is doing in the lives of others.
I’m always trying to get better at sharing my faith. This book does a great job making it simple and gives you analogies to use so that people can understand the gospel easily and quickly. I highly recommend this book. It is an easy very helpful read
All of the small groups at my church (@fbcrc) read and discussed this book on evangelism this semester. It’s a really good book for anyone, but particularly those who don’t feel equipped to tell others about Jesus.
This book includes some good tips to consider when it comes to evangelism, but overall misses the mark. It feels too much like a throwback to a couple decades ago when far too much sermon emphasis was on giving the appearance of devotion for the sake of one's witness rather than truly growing in the Spirit.
