“Wife?”
“Yes, his wife, as in till death do us part.” The woman in front of me waved her bony finger in my face that had a big diamond wedding ring on it.
I heard Charley, Kitty, and Simmora ranting over Joshua. They weren’t paying me and what I faced any attention.
“Let’s step to the back,” she suggested when she looked behind me at my sister and friends.
At this point, there was no reason for me to object. She switched toward the back like a model on the runway. I watched her put her briefcase on the table, then she turned to me. The woman wasn’t ugly at all. Japanese descent but with no accent.
Her lips were full, her hair was long and brunette, and her skin was milky white. Her eyes were round with a slight slant. I saw the cattiness, sneaky, and scheming ways she had about her. She was too posh, almost like an AI image.
“Let’s start over—”
“We really don’t have to. Your name is Meixiu Sato-Yoshida, and you are Kiyoshi Lee Yoshida’s wife.” There was no need for her to keep repeating that. I finally got it and realized this was real...
Finding out the man Constance possibly fell in love with was married shattered her entire world.
Jackie and Charley have ended their relationship before it truly begun. Charley decided to remain faithful to her boyfriend Joshua. But when it comes out that he did not give Charley the same loyalty she has to deal with that.
Major, Lee's childhood friend, is back in town and has his eyes kn Constance. The timing is perfect for him to mend her broken heart.

The plot is starting to come together in this book, but it's becoming messy. I wasn't really into Lee in book 1 he was a rich Japanese Man it was different, but now I'm beginning to like him and the pressure he is applying. I don't fw Sook, Major weird-ass and Meixiu. What the fuck is going on with the dad? He wanna be in control so bad. It is insane how secrets and deceit are being exposed one after the other.

So much happened in this boo that made me mad. For one, I did not care for the new POVs that told the story. So much mess but rubbed me the wrong way. The ending helped to get this book 4 ⭐️ because it was definitely going to be a 3. I’m ready to get this series completed because they’re working my nerves.

I wanted to finish all 3 books before writing my review. After reading some of the reviews from book one, what I can say is the fact that it was not read as a full series is part of the reason for some of the negative around research.
With that being said….
Book 1: I can tell by the end it would have a lot of folks in an uproar. The book gave big problematic energy. With the focus on Black women from the POV of other races could be extremely controversial.
Book 2: helped connect the dots… it gave history and began to amplify the beauty of a black woman. Breaking the norms of what a person was taught to latch on and embrace someone not bc of their skin but bc of who they are as a person. This is when I fell in love with the MMCs! Although reading the pov of other can be hard I pushed through bc I liked where the book was going.
Book 3: was the epitome of getting their lick back! The amount of revenge, hurt and drama in this one kept me engaged! Now I didn’t like that (to be continued joke) IYKYK!
Overall I am giving this series a 4⭐️! I know many people can’t handle hearing negativity toward Black Women, I embraced this bc the harsh reality is this is how “others” see us!
As a woman who travels the world for a living I have seen the way folks look at me and judge me just because I am not what they are use to. I embrace the stares and whispers without getting offended because at the end of the day in some way I fascinate them. To see this young black woman in their world doing what they do and them not understanding how I got there speaks volumes!
Going into this read what I will say to my fellow readers is keep and open mind, read it all the way thru then come back with your review.

Babyyyyy! All of these characters are crazyyyyy! The only sane ones are Constance, Charley and Simmora lbvs! Everyone staking claims in this person and the next person! Secrets being drooped on tables like it's lunch, everything and everyone is going haywire! I just knew Constance really wanted to step away, but the heart wants what it wants and Kiyoshi was it for her! Arranged marriages, power and wealth was heavy all around! Man, Lee's wife had to be the dumbest woman. I really thought in these arranged marriages, they learn to at least like one another! Her and Sanjay really are only pawns in the game smh! I want Jackie to tell of Sanjay's extracurricular activities so bad! While it may look like a bitch move, just maybe their parents will back the hell off! Charley was meant for him and he for her! Their free spirits just align and I love that for them! Joshua is another sad case! Like lil boy, go suck some breast milk because he is way too childish for me. He too grew up in the world of power and thought that would get him far! Obi, oh Obi! It's so wild how he's always been there for Lee. I wonder if he knows he is his father! This changes a lot! Technically, he's not a Yoshida so will his marriage still stand after the dust settles. He wants out anyway. This may just be the way to get it done away with! Major with his fruity booty! All this time, he wanted Lee for himself! Whew Lord! Part 3 is gonna be piping HOTTTT!

Can't wait for the next part
Very good, just not as good as the first, of course. Aside from changes at YE, nothing major happened. Well I guess some things did happen, but I feel like they were kinda off topic that i never batted an eye. The only one that kinda got me was Major. I felt like at least 30% was repetition. How many times did Charlie and Joshua need to have the convo of how she met and felt when she met Jackie?. Some things seemed to have been rehashed in case readers didn't read part 1. I just wanted to shake Constance, like just talk to the man, but I more so wanted to shake her because tell Lee to get rid of Madelyn, but I was glad when she laid it out for her. Now on to silly Sanjay....girl you can't freeze that stuff at home!!! There is definitely a process, and unless she had access to liquid nitrogen at home, then those lil swimmers are not viable. The comedy and Constance's clap backs were EVERYTHING! My girl did not miss. Lee was a possesive love sick puppy and i loved every bit of it. Charley is sweet and her and Jackie fit perfectly. I can't wait for the next one cause I am definitely excited to see my power couples take over.

It made me almost swallow my tongue. “I sat in my car for hours, waiting for you to come out. The least you can do is listen to me.” He grabbed my jaws so tight, I couldn’t even scream. “The gentleman in me was trying to be nice but forget it. I’m not here because of Joshua, I’m here for myself. Since he brought you home, I have wanted a taste of you, Charley. You’re sweet, innocent, and beautiful. I will leave my wife and kids for you. We can run away together!” His mouth was close to mine. “I’ve masturbated to you so many times.” I was fighting to get loose when suddenly, we were in a full tussle. He grabbed my hair and was about to hit me. But my medium-length nails dug so deep in the side of his neck that I felt them split his skin open. “Ugh!” He let out a wretched yell. Need part 3
I wish I’d known there was a part three I would have waited. Part two didn’t hold my attention as much as part 1. It’s a good book I give it 3.5 stars, only because of the repetitiveness, I feel like it was just dragging the book out. The way Lee is so smart and I don’t see how he didn’t put two and two together in many scenes. I figured that Charley mom wasn’t the other woman, assuming she didn’t die giving birth either. Possibly k|££3d by coo-coo. Or maybe the lady at the door isn’t Constance mom either. Maybe her and Charley have the same mother. My imagination running wild. Chile the drama will unfold in part 3, hopefully in a way that holds my attention and not have me skipping paragraphs.

Looking Sideways
Book one was the bomb! Unfortunately, book 2 is not hitting the same. Even though it’s a lot going on, it seems out of character. For instance, I know Constance is hurt but why is she even entertaining Major, Lee’s best friend? Then to go out on a double date with your ex lover and his wife, make it make sense. Then why is Lee stalking Constance? He has enough money to hire someone to follow her. How is he running a billion dollar company and still finding the time to follow her? Again make it make sense. Ms. Lenz is a very talented writer however she’s taking this realm of fiction to the extreme.

This book took me by surprise. If you didn't know the nationalities by looking at the visuals, you'd never know. The men in this book are strong, no nonsense individuals. The older is son is doing as his father has always wanted him to do because they have a very strained relationship. No where near healthy at all. The mother is no help in trying to help either son. Now the younger son, does not care if he withholds his money from him. He is determined to live, work and love as to what is good for him. The older can actually learn from the younger..lol! I loved this story. It's funny how a man acts when he falls in love or lust for a woman.

Wow! This book had many surprises, but the most shocking for me was Major's feelings for Lee. I was not expecting this man to want Lee for himself 😂. The other characters are a mess. Sanjay needs to take her thot self on somewhere. Joshua's dad is crazy if he thought Charley would ever give him the light of day. Bruce is a menace, and I know his reign is ending. I can't wait for the finale, but I do have to say Lee showed out in this book. Jackie is bae, but his brother had the most glow-up.

I enjoyed reading this book , but as a reader I get so tired of starting to read urban fiction only to get to the end and see” to be continued”.Why can’t our writers write a complete book and the put it out for readers. Then move on to the next book.After you have started to read a book and it ends” in too be continued” we move one to another writer. When the next part comes out we have forgotten what the book was about. I have started to look for books that say stand alone. Please do better and stop this practice

Jada and August entanglement ain’t got nothing on these folks
The emotional and funny rollercoaster that part 2 just took me through. That dog on Lee is the definition of applying pressure. Man these are the first couple books that I have read by the author and I’m so upset I’m just finding them. That Lee is something. I giggled so much when he was floating in that meeting. Sis you did your thing! Let me get to part 3 so I can see how this ends cause my nerves are really bad lol.

Girl....you did that! Although the first book was good, I love how you listen to your readers regarding criticism from the first book. The only thing I'm mad about is I have to wait for the 3rd book. Lol!!! Take your time though because it needs to be a jaw dropper!

Ms. London Lenz, I deducted one star from my rating because you seemed to go off on a tangent with these ancillary characters: the wife, the dad, the creepy best friend, Jackie's skeezy intended, Sanjay... I could go on. Also, the grammatical errors were in over abundance (please learn to use "I" and "me" correctly. Then I thought about it. This story is still freaking awesome and I loved it so I'm giving the fifth star back!

I’m loving this series…. Its filled with so much drama good drama but what’s different is the main is Japanese and not mixed that’s a fresh outlook on the lead but this is a great story billionaire instantly fall for a young lady of the melanin persuasion and although he’s been warmed and forbid he’s enamored by her beauty and presence. Off to see how it all ends

I was shocked to find out Major secretly wants Kyoshi; after all this time. I NEVER expected this last bomb...Obi is his Dad?! I want him and Constance together and I'm glad Charley and Jackie got together. On to pt. 3 RIGHT NOW!!

Your Loving Makes Me Weak
I didn't know I would be all invested in this book. Reading a completed series is my type of hype but I couldn't put this book down. Lee and Constance are super cute. Him hiding his marriage put me in my feelings. Jackie and Charley are about to catch it in the next installment I believe. Let me get my wine for the next read ready.
