This might a short story but it’s one that will really make you think. Abby used to collect lost things when she was a little girl. Now that she’s older, things haven’t been going her way. Bills are piling up and her car is on the fritz. Then she finds a diamond necklace that would certainly help her out. Alas, she is stuck between a rock and a hard place, does she keep the necklace to help her with her troubles, or does she do the right thing?
Talk about a dilemma! I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of how things occurred in Abby’s life. It really makes you think about karma. Also, I really enjoyed the ending. BUT I enjoyed it so much that I wanted more! I seriously got to the end and said “NOOOO, I want more of this.” I would love to see this story expanded.
Sweet short story from author Stefanie Nici in which Abby, coping with multiple losses in her life and the effect upon her life, faces the choice of doing the wrong thing and prospering or of doing the right thing and facing further hardship.
A moral tale, in which the wages of sin are weighed against the potentially dubious reward of virtue. Which does she choose? You’ll have to read to find out.
In my opinion, this short story is a perfect read for anyone age 12 and up, especially women. Not only is book about great love and great loss, it's chock full of wonderful sentimental moments and memories, and more. The ending came aa a truly pleasant surprise. Five shiny gold stars!
I just discovered this, Author. and what a great feel-good story about how awesome things work out when you do the right thing, especially when you have to grapple with the decision. Wonderful characters and locale.
Short, sweet, and surprisingly full of good life lessons! I enjoyed this short story immensely 💕 I love when fate gets a chance to be showcased like this in a story.
