The Carter Cartel always came out on top. Lynx knew it when he sat at the head of the table, and he knew that passing the reigns of the business down to Nori & Malik wouldn’t change anything. There would always be something, or someone, to watch out for. But the Carter men had eyes and ears everywhere, so fear never moved through them. They were the ones to incite fear, and that wouldn’t change no matter who was in charge.
Nori was ready to step up, even if that meant burying every emotion he had deep down. Making sure the family business ran smoothly and keeping fear running through the hearts of anyone who thought of testing him, was Nori’s top priority. He didn’t have time to focus on the hard, emotional decisions that had to be made before he became the man in charge. He couldn’t risk showing he had feelings. His enemies would target anything Nori showed emotion towards, so he reigned everything in, keeping tight control on everything in his life. He would never give anyone the satisfaction of besting him. That wasn’t possible because he was the best. And he would have it all… at all costs.

Zayah and Nori have a wonderful nasty filthy sex filled week but agree to leave as is. For Zayah to be a lawyer she was naive cause ain’t no way. I loved Nori savage ass one thing he gonna do is kill a snake. I loved Zayah and Nori realizing they were soulmates. Nori’s cold heart thawed. I can’t wait for Malik’s story next.
Okay, this story was very comical and pretty good. I liked the funny antics by the Carter men. Nori was my favorite in this one. He was the leading man and rightfully so, in this story. Funny thing though, for Zayah to be so smart, She was too trusting. I knew Kyree was the culprit in this drama. You'll see. A good read. 4.25 stars.
Wow I can’t wait for Malik book 📖. Kevia surprised me, as well as Jock. Now they got me looking 👀 at them funny? Malik I really hope he gets over Bria because she is doing to much for me. Nori he came in like a thief in the night and get his family. Za Za I don’t understand how she didn’t realize it was Kyree who set her 🆙
I love the characters and the storyline, this one may be my favorite so far in the series I got a little bit of Gabe hilarious and then Shi mannn that took the cake the ending was messed up like come on girl but I can’t wait to read Malik’s book.
This book gave everything that it was supposed to give. Zayah made me want to shake the mess out of her for being stupid and gullible, but sweetie got it together. Nori was going through so much mentally that I’m not sure how he was even able to stay remotely sane. I’m glad that with all he with through with Tasha that he wasn’t bitter on love and ended up with his true soulmate. Shi had to be the funniest but now now I see he about to be on his deadliest business with Kevin smh, can’t believe she was a 🐍 like that! Malik poor baby, his heart is so torn with Bria and it’s messed up that she keeps popping in and out of his life like that. But maybe in his story Ms. Avery will be just what he needs to move on and be truly happy!! Great job as always 💙
One thing you can't take away from this Author is her ability to pen a story that will keep you interested and on the edge of your seat. Even in the midst of chaos. There's always something going on that will have you giggling or laughing hard as hell. Nori heart was cold after dealing with the betrayal from his ex Tasha. He also had to deal with betrayal from his own brother and the decision he made had him hiding a secret from his mother. You can tell from the beginning that Zayah settled for Kyree. Her heart and mind was elsewhere. Kyree didn't give damn about Zayah. He put her freedom, job, and losing her daughter to the system at risk being grimey. Malayah is truly a good friend because she had Zayah back and stopped at nothing to insure her freedom and getting her daughter back. Lynx, Nori, and the whole gang had Zayah back as well. I knew the moment Nori mother saw Zayah daughter Nova that she put two and two together. Nori was beyond pissed learning the truth. He was on go even more going after Kyree once there was proof he set up Zayah. Shi have zero filter. He went in on Tanesha nutty and stalking ass. She was truly delusional. I didn't believe that act Zavia put on. She went from crying to ready to screw Shi. Something was off about her and the way this ended. My assumptions were right. Shi thought Jock was his right hand man but it's looking like Jock is a snake.
This book was better than book 1. They still don't move like a cartel, but I've given up on that part.
Nori is that nigga and not to be played with. He stands on business in every situation and doesn't give a f%$k how anyone feels about it. I knew he was a real one at the end of book 1, and this story didn't deviate from that.
Nori is in a dark place because 2 of the closest people to him betrayed him (book 1) in unthinkable ways. Then, in walks Zayah with her fine a$$ (his words) to distract him from everything he had going on, and they have a fun, sex filled week in Belize. But after, it's back to business as usual until she's thrown back in his life a year later.
Zayah is such a birdbrain and had the potential to ruin the story for me with her naive, gullible a$$. But Nori got her a$$ right tf together, and I loved every moment of it!! It took her way too long to believe what was right in front of her face because she wanted "evidence." Girl, c'mon, you know what tf it is!
Nori, Malayah, Lynx, and Malik came through for her dumb a$$ and wouldn't let her be set up by that f%$k nigga, despite what she was thinking. They are the definition of a village.
Shi was the hidden gem in this story and the reason for me needing to read book 3. Don't get me wrong, I'm interested to see what Malik decides to do about Bria and her silly game playing a$$, but the twist with Shi has me tuned in.
Nori and Zayah have been thru their fair share of darma and pain. Zayah thought she was in a great relationship with her so-called baby daddy. Kyree Mitchell her ex- boyfriend planted drugs in her suitcase on her way too Jamaica for a photo shoot. Zayah world is turned upside down she is facing drug charges and having her daughter Nova taken into foster care because of Kyree selfish ways. Also she can loss her licence and be disbarred from practicing law with these allegations. Zayah best friend Malaya who is also a attorney help and her Family. Lynx and Nori help Zayah out and she going thru alot. Zayah also finds out Nova is not Kyree daughter .She Nori daughter after a affair in Belize a year ago. Zayah also had love for Nori but at time he was in a dark place and just wanted affair with no strings attached. Who know she would have his child and his niece and marry the love of her life. She finally got her life back and now she pregnant with his son.
Admittedly book one, which was my introduction to this authors work, didn't hold my attention, so I read the first couple chapters then skipped to the last three and feel like I was still able to get the gist of the characters. Nori and Zayah's story held my interest from beginning to end. Individually, what they had going on were good storylines, and the way it all came together made me root for them. Kyree was a trash human, and what Za went through because of him was terrible. But the way Malayah and the Cartel crew stood 10 toes down for her got me hype. Then the comedy from Gabe and Shi was unhinged hilarity. That ending though... Shi wasn't laughing at all, so I am looking forward to seeing what's next from this crew. There were a few grammatical things, but overall, I liked this story and these characters.
Yes K Renee the Carter men are definitely where it’s at. I loved everything about Nori he had bde, he was loyal and didn’t hesitate to lay n*gga down if he needed too. Zayah was a total sweetheart and the predicament that Kyree trifling a$$ set her up in was just lowdown. I am glad that Zayah and Nori crossed paths again they were the perfect match for each other, because they both deserved the love and loyalty from their partner. I can’t end this review without talking about Shi that n* gga was a whole fool but don’t get me wrong he dies not play and can be just as deadly as the Carter men. I can’t wait to see him turn up after what he witnessed at the end of this book..
This series just keeps getting better and better! And crazier and crazier. I was team Nori the entire book! His growth and maturity was everything! He was honest with her from jump. He always pulled no punches no matter how hurtful. She just didn’t want to hear it. I’m sorry but she really worked my nerves and he was a good one. Because she was bout dumb as can be. Ain’t no way! I don’t care who or what it is. Ain’t nothing coming before me & mine talking bout I have to be sure. I would’ve been sure when my phone didn’t ring tf! Shi & Tanisha had me hollering though. I so can’t wait for Malik book! Sensational
This was indeed a good book. I loved the characters, humor and all the love shown. Zayah was in for the ride of her life. But she had a strong support system that had her back. Nori was thee man and I loved everything about him. Kyree got what he deserved and some. How could you do something like that to the woman you claimed to love. All women needs a friend like Malayah cuz she didn’t stop until her girl was free. Malik needs to get over the burden. Shi is crazy as everrrr and don’t take anything serious. I spoiled it enough now go get your copy so you can spoil it too
Karen never miss all the characters in this book are hilarious Malaya went hard for her friend Lynx is just as crazy as Gabe he did not say Tanesha was born short of a chromosome walking in the warehouse Nori did not say they didn’t know their faith with Hannibal Lecter walking beside him Zayah was amazing Kure didn’t know how connected her friends were They took that man to court looking like road kill and told them he kept falling Kevia threw me for a loop These characters could not have been wrote better another times best seller !!! I loved every word
Nori was not for no games. Nori is a no nonsense gangsta. I cannot believe her ex boyfriend tried to get her hemmed up not knowing she has a whole cartel behind her. OMG Shi is a strait fool. I just cannot get enough of him. He is like a Gabe plus ten. I have to see him get gangsta with the girl who is trying to play him for Jock. See he may keep you laughing, but he is a straight gangsta. Lol what if he ends up with the crazy bartender. Can't wait to see what Malik has to offer. I hope he gets over Bria and get with the realtor.
It's a great story from start to finish! I can't wait for Malik, I hope he moves on from Bria. Nori and Zayah loved them. Nori had to give it to Nori straight, she was just being way too blind for the ish she was in... at one point, Zayah definitely provided the definition of being so smart that you can be stupid. Whew, child, glad she found her senses, and Nori was right there to see her through it all. I'm happy that Nori mom was able to get out of her depression! I can't wait to see Shi, I k ew Zevia had something with her.
Omg this second The Cater Cartel is lit. My boy Nori got some stuff straight in his life. I’m glad everybody helped my girl get outta that sticky situation that the dude she was with put her in. People don’t get they come hard about there’s 😂. And it seems like Shi is hanging around Gab too much it was like a mini him 😂. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi while eating popcorn and while waiting on the next book to read.
I'm so glad Nori and Zayah got it together. Zayah was a little too green to the game for me but glad she found her senses. Hoping Malik leave Bria where the heck she's at she don't want him but don't want him happy with someone else. I feel bad for Shi he finally was open to a relationship and found out he got a snake in Kevia. I hope her and Jock get what's coming to them. K. Renee you never disappoint ❤️❤️❤️
I just knew Erica helped Kyree plant them drugs , glad I’m wrong ! ! ! I’m with Nori if your baby came earlier than expected it’s cuz that math wasn’t mathing right ! ! ! So the cal was about Kevia but they should have been looking at Jock when he answered that phone with no problems ! ! ! Bria better not pop back up pregnant or with Malik’s newborn ! ! ! I low key thought Saini was Malik and Bria’s daughter and Natalie had stole her from the hospital ! ! !
Please give SHI his story but this was soooooo good I love your style you never disappoint thank you for such moving books and you always bring all the characters back together which I love I give this 5 stars and more Keep on giving us great stories and keeping us entertained Gab still my dog but SHI is in the running
When I tell you this book was everything and some it gave laughs on top of laughs it’s gave me the chills with what happen to Za and baby the vibes of the whole crew was giving and life really was lifing and the ending was one I can’t wait until the next book I definitely need the book before this one to figure out what happened and good job one of the best authors
Shi is a whole damn fool in this book. K. Renee is that itch period. I loved me some Nori and he was a no nonsense guy. I hope Malik finds love in his book because I’m tired of Bria’s ass. I feel like she gone be a problem in Malik’s book when he starts feeling Avery. I can’t wait for his book❤️
Let me tell u when I read Ma Lai name I knew this book could not be put down. This book is a one day read and Nori is the man to read about him and his family. I can not wait for the next book is going to be so good I just know it. I am ready for all of there stories. Great job 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. Bravo K Renee. Bravo!!!!!!
This book was very enjoyable. Shi was hilarious. I thought Nora was just an intellectual dummy. I would've been singing like a canary......wait for evidence my ass. How many clues did she need to figure it out. Hell she should've known dude set her up when he didn't answer her calls or show up. I can't wait for the next installment, Malik.
I miss my people I’m so happy Santa got her happy ending man that damn Gabe and Shi needs his own book he had me in tears I was mad it ended can’t wait for Malik you never fells you always so a great job man I miss this crazy family that damn Gabe love it need more
So this was my first read I think by K. Renee and I am all in like I can’t wait to read another. This book was really great. My four Za was a bit green to the game with a lame for a man but when you have had encounters with a real on like Nori things are sure to change for the better. Please read this book
What a story from beginning to end. I love stories of second chances, but this one is for the books. I can't even devise reuniting with my love almost at the cost of losing my freedom, my child and careers, but I can say that love is truly a beautiful thing when placed in the right hands. Loved the story it flowed effortlessly. Renee G
Shi was warned by the mysterious caller and now Kevia has been caught!!!…What is coming now!!!.. I was so happy for Nori and Zayah because that vacation was intense for them!!!…I knew that had to be Nori baby when she said the baby was delivered early because of complications!!!… This book was beyond good and I was glad to take the ride!!!…
