This is a beautifully produced book - very large and weighs a ton - that is full of rare photos. Covering the group's prehistory before ABBA was formed (each member had already enjoyed teen success in solo careers and/or as members of other groups), the book is chronological in nature and features informative and detailed text that accompany the photos. The photos are remarkable, of high quality and capture the group in every phase of their remarkable career. The only drawback is that the book is so big and heavy, it is difficult to look at comfortably.

5 stars is hardly enough.

Hardback, 400 pages. It's heavy. Really heavy.

Anyhow, it does include the history of the ABBA members from even before they were in the group and moves on all the way through when they stopped working together. The term 'photo album' is really true as the book is loaded with photos, many of them very beautifully done. I consider this book an absolute must have for anyone who really likes ABBA (as I do!)

It's hard to tell how many of these photos were new to me but it's safe to say I've probably not seen a good portion of them. There are photos of all four member from before they were a group, during ABBA, and after, up until 2013, the year before this book was published. There's minimal text in it, a little on every other page or so, but it's enough and contains old quotes here and there from all group members.

This book weighs close to 7 lbs. and is 11.5" square and isn't the most comfortable thing to hold unless you lay it flat on your lap. Book book itself is printed on, front and back, and looks just like the dust jacket except the front doesn't have the book title over the group photo.

ABBA have been my favorite group for almost 23 years and I never get sick of photos of them and having them compiled in a book is the greatest.

Heavy and full of rare and never-before seen photos, this book begins in the days before ABBA first came together and continues on until their breakup in the early 1980s. The pictures are vibrant and high-quality as befitting a photo book. This tome accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do -- to be a comprehensive coffee table book of ABBA photos -- and is surely a must-have purchase for die-hard fans of the Swedish pop stars.

Most comprehensive, current and accurate book covering Abba's successful musical history. Tons of rarely seen photos, and some intimate, beautiful photos of them at their most natural and happy. Highly recommended for any super Abba-fan! Well-written, designed, researched and produced...definitely a keeper.

This book arrived today and I immediatelly sat down and went through every photo and every word that it contained. ABBA has been my favourite group since I was a child and I still believe them to be among the very best musicians ever. Not many information is new, but many of the photos are commented upon by the ABBA themselves which makes the book a delightful and new experience.

If you love ABBA, you just must have it.
The book is really heavy, but you will be eventually able to frame in time (and space/location!) where their pics were taken, with lots of behind-the-story and comments, along the group and individuals storyline, before, during and after ABBA.

There was no way I was going to fork out for the book. Not for a bunch of photos. But the app version of the book was released for only US15 or so, so I bit the bullet. I could afford it at that price. I only gave the book three stars based on the photos and text, which is what I would've bought if I bought the paper version.

The photos were nice. (I don't get excited about photos.) The text held some new tidbits I didn't know, but in general it was just rehashing everything that is already out there.

I was very interested to see what the app had to offer over the paper version and it didn't disappoint. Tap on the small photos and they enlarge. The large photos resize to the size of the tablet screen. Nice! Once you have a photo enlarged, you can swipe through and view the rest of the photos only, without the text, like a slideshow. Unfortunately, you can't really enlarge any photo further. The other plus is that you an listen to a few tracks per album right in the app while you are browsing. They also have videos for a few of the songs right in the app, if you are in the mood to watch videos, too. There is a Timeline and you can also use the index to skip straight to an album or era.

Very well thought out. Is this the future of interactive books? Personally, I like paper books, but this is a great alternative for those large tomes too heavy to carry. The app gets 5 stars.

Um livro muito completo sobre as eternos ABBA. É, conforme diz o título, um livro de fotografias, mas as legendas contêm muitos informação acerca da banda. Centenas de fotografias de estúdio, de espetáculos, de ensaios e de capas de discos. E também fotos privadas da vida em família. Muito bom!
